“Kagome what's up?” he could smell it, her fear her anxiety, it was obvious to him that she did want to go home.

 

She shifted her weight in a nervous reaction she could still feel his heated stare on her.

 

“I don't know if I can go home now, gramps might try to kill me, mom will probably disown me...and they might not want me. I can't live a normal life there anymore. The modern world there just isn't a place for me” as she continued her tirade her heart fell deeper into sorrow, now she understood, she couldn't really before, how Inuyasha felt, but know the loneliness filled her heart, restricting it from beating without it hurting her.

 

`Oh kami look at me, I'm not normal I can't go back, for kami's sake I have a fucking tail I can't I just oh kami' she screamed in her head.

 

Kagome looked at Inuyasha, “I finally understand how you feel…..the pain” and with that she took of running as fast as her new legs would carry her. A mantra started being said in her head `I can't do this, I can't do this, I can't do this.' The more she run the deeper into despair she went into.

 

“KAGOME! STOP RIGHT NOW KAGOME GET THE FUCK BACK HERE WENCH!...KAGOME!!!!!!!!” Inuyasha called after her. He tried to run after her but by the time finally understood what was going on and came to his sense from his state of shock he couldn't catch up to her.

 

Inuyasha stood there, looking in the direction she had run off in for hours it seemed. He didn't know what to do, and for the first time since he had met Kagome he felt very…very alone. And with that thought he howled like a wounded dog. He sat down and waited not wanting to go back to the camp thinking maybe she out come back soon.

She legs started to scream at her now she couldn't go anymore, she was completely winded. She stopped and collapsed on the bank of a river underneath a willow tree. She laid there, staring at the night sky that was slowly losing the battle to the dawn.

 

`oh kami, what am I know, did I lie to him when I said I was still he's Kagome, did I? I don't know anything anymore I'm so confused. Oh kami, what am I supposed to do?' Kagome looked at her claws and felt almost disgusted looking at them. `I'm never disgusted by Inuyasha…why am I disgusted by my...self?'

 

She never felt the presence of the demon that suddenly was standing before her, cold eyes, stoic face, an icy voice. “who are you…..hanyou”

 

Kagome was so lost in thought she didn't even hear the words being said. This aggravated the demon.

 

“Hanyou wench you will answer this Sesshoumaru and you shall do this now” he said sternly.

 

Kagome's head snapped up, she finally heard him. Her forest green eyes widened, `oh no' she thought, yet she still did not give him an answer.

 

“wench I suggest you tell me how you are and why you are carrying the scent of my half brother before I kill you now.”

 

“You should know me Sesshoumaru, I'm Kagome, remember Ka…Go…Me” she said while chanting `don't show fear don't show fear' in her head. And with that Sesshoumaru recognized her scent.

 

“You shouldn't be alone out here a demon might kill you for what you have become, or is my brother lurking around somewhere, or maybe he went to see that dead wench”

 

“He's not here but he's not with…her” she countered and with that she turned to walk away.

 

“I don't believe this Sesshoumaru said that you could leave wench”

 

“You can't tell me what to do” she instantly regretted those words coming out of her mouth. In a flash he had her pinned up against the tree. “I can and I will tell you what to do.” He said looking into her eyes, it struck him then how beautiful she had become no being a hanyou, but he couldn't bring himself to knowledge this fact fully, he Sesshoumaru, Lord of the Western Lands, take a hanyou as… well anything, certainly not. But still he wondered, what did her lips taste like, what would his name sound like being said from those lips as she moaned. And with that thought he kissed her, Kagome feel into shock because he was Kissing her, Sesshoumaru was kissing her, and it felt so...

 

Wrong.

 

She pushed against him, her hands now freed, hitting his chest, trying with everything to get him off her, it caused him to push against her harder. Kagome mentally screamed for the one she did love;

 

`Inuyasha….Inuyasha….INUYAHSA'

 

~*~Inuyasha and others~*~

 

Miroku and the others had finally gotten overly worried and went to find Inuyasha and Kagome, but what they find didn't sit right with them. All they saw was Inuyasha staring off into the distant, just sitting there.

 

“Inuyasha, where is Kagome” Sango asked. No response.

 

Shippou started yelling at him and got right into his face. “what did you do to her you baka? Where is she? Where is my mommy?” he wailed.

 

“I don't know…she just run off…away from me” he answered them all quietly.

 

Miroku started to say something but something in Inuyasha's mind blocked it out because all he could hear was Kagome's screams for him, she needed him, she was in trouble, and she was afraid.

 

He shot up off the ground and started running following all of his senses and the voice in his head. He yelled back to the group, “Kagome needs me.”
