Hello mina, I've updated again! Well, I'm having exams next week actually but I managed to cram some time to write this new chapter for mina... since there are so many good responses from mina!!!! Thank you so much. Especially to dgirlie, jedi sesshorin.

Ok before the new chapter starts I will like to tell everyone about the mistake I made in chapter 2:

The Shichinin-Tai name's I had used are extracted from the DVDs I had collected and the names on the subtitles are wrong except for Bankotsu's name… so from now on I will be using the correct spelling of the Shichinin-Tai's name of course. They are:

Sankego's real spelling of name: Jakotsu

Liango's actual name: Renkotsu

Dr. Shuigo actual name: Dr. Suikotsu

Bankotsu remains as Bankotsu… ^_^ (at least got one name correct)

Chapter 5: New Comrades

When Kikyo did her dramatic entrance suddenly, Kagome, Rin and Sango quickly stood in line at attention. Rin was standing between Kagome and Sango, hoping that the floor would swallow her up immediately. She knew Kikyo don't take kindly to people who broke the ship rules begin to sweat slightly though her face remained neutral.

Sesshoumaru could sense fear coming from Rin and he watched the new girl who walked in cautiously. She was wearing miko clothing unlike the Rin, Kagome and Sango who had on sleek body hugging clothes which was fit for combat. However, he wasn't surprised that she was wearing miko clothing because he could sense, miko forces around the girl and wondered whether her job on the ship was a priestess. There as a splitting image of her and Kagome and wondered if they were related. Now that, he took noticed of Kagome, he realized that she also had a slight miko force around her though her force wasn't thoroughly trained. He narrowed his eyes slightly when he watched her walking over to Rin threateningly. Does priestess act like that around here? He thought silently to himself.

Rin remained neutral staring straight ahead when Kikyo approached her. It was best not to show any emotions. Kikyo stopped in front of her staring down at her on her nose and swiftly her hand lifted in the air and went crashing down on Rin's cheeks giving her a slap that made her head turned to the other side at the impact. Rin's eyes widened with surprised, that was something she never expected to happen.

"Oneechan!!!!!" Kagome shouted. "What the hell are you doing?"

Sesshoumaru thought that if there weren't the electronic bars holding him in, that girl who Kagome had called `oneechan' will have her head ripped off her shoulders. He held in his anger watching the girl with narrowed eyes and growl softly. Inuyasha who had his demon ears heard the growl and turned to look at his brother with surprise.

Sesshoumaru sure is protective over this girl… Inuyasha thought.

"At others' presence I thought I told you before not to address me in such an informal title." Kikyo snarled at Kagome.

"Oh, right…" Kagome rolled her eyes and said sarcastically. "Captain Kikyo what are you doing?"

Sesshoumaru frowned; Kikyo is the captain of the ship? What is with the miko clothing then. He watched Kikyo ignored Kagome's sarcasm and turned back to Rin furiously. Rin whose cheek was still red at Kikyo's fierce slap still look emotionless as she stared straight ahead, her hands clutched at her side. She didn't raise her hand to touch her cheek nor did she wince in pain. Sesshoumaru watched Rin with interest, she was fighting her emotions with great control.

"Why did you help those dogs?" Kikyo asked wrathfully. "You know that, it was your job to turn them in, but I got reports from our ship security troop that you had actually helped these…" She paused for a moment and turned to stare at Sesshoumaru, Inuyasha and Miroku with disliked before she turned back to Rin again. "… Fiends to escape."

Rin remained silent.

"Do you have anything to explain for yourself?" Kikyo asked.

"I take full responsibility for my actions." Rin replied immediately without emotions in her voice as she stared straight into Kikyo's eyes.

"Rin?" Kagome whispered with surprised at her friend's answer. "You know they made you…"

Even Sango stared at Rin disbelievingly. Sesshoumaru begin to dislike Kikyo more than ever as he watched the scene quietly. If he would ever be released, he will definitely love to wring her neck. He was wondering if he could stay quiet like this any longer if he had to continue watching Rin being terrorized by this wench.

"You are on probation," Kikyo continued cutting Kagome off. "And you will no longer be in charge of the Sector for `Control Data Search' of the ship. From now on you will be just a normal crew."

Kikyo lift her hand up to a badge pin on her wristband that covers her whole arm. She was about to rip the badge away when Kaede appeared. Sesshoumaru watched the old woman walked in calmly watching them cautiously. Another weirdo… Sesshoumaru thought.

"That is enough Kikyo," Kaede said stopping Kikyo from taking the badge from Rin. "You do not need to take her status away."

"But Kaede-sama!" Kikyo cried turning to Kaede angrily. "She had to be punished."

Ok at least this weirdo is much better than this wench. Sesshoumaru thought.

"Putting her in probation is good enough." Kaede replied. "Besides I would want to hear her explanations."

"She had none…" Kikyo started to say but Kaede put her hand up to stop her from going further.

Kaede walked up to the very controlled Rin who still looked expressionless as she stood on her place. Kagome and Sango was beginning to feel uncomfortable looking at each other and then at the unresponsive Rin. She always acted that way when she blamed herself for everything.

"Kaede-sama it is not totally Rin's fault!" Kagome begin to say when she came closer.

"That is right, Kaede-sama…" Sango cut in quickly. "She was only trying to help us!"

"It is alright Kagome, Sango…" Kaede replied calmly. "I only want to hear what Rin had to say."

Rin looked at Kaede and blinked. She had no idea what to say, she had helped Sesshoumaru because she wanted to and she had a feeling he was different from other demons. If he wanted to kill her, he would have done so many times before but he didn't. Besides he let her escaped, however unable to tell Kaede what actually happened she remained silent.

"Rin, you just have to explain why you broke the rules." Kaede sighed. "I had no intentions to put you in probations nor punish you. You are our best pilot and combatant. All I need is an explanation from you."

"I have none Kaede…" Rin whispered.

Kaede sighed at her stubbornness and saw the redness on her cheeks.

"What happened to your cheek?" She asked

Rin stared at Kikyo who appeared to be looking the other side. Kagome stared at her sister angrily and Sango glared along with her. Rin looked away from Kikyo and stared down at floor studying her feet for a moment before she looked up.

"I…" She started.

"It was…" Kagome cut her off trying to explain.

Rin put her hand over her mouth quickly.

"I was not careful and fell!!!!" The words on Rin's mouth came out in a rush. "If I may be excuse I think I will want to go the doctor for a checkup!"

Kagome glared at Rin who still had her hand over her mouth. "Hmmmphhh!!!' Was all Kagome can say.

"So may I be excuse?" Rin asked still holding on to Kagome.

Before Kaede could answer Sango interrupted.

"It was actually…" She began but Rin closed her other hand on her mouth too.

"We all need to go for a checkup!!!!" Rin quickly add in.

As quick as possible before Kaede could answer, Rin pulled struggling Kagome and Sango out of the department through the automatic sliding doors and disappeared. Sesshoumaru watched after Rin disbelievingly. Why is she so forgiving? He wondered. However, he was not going to forgive Kikyo that easily as he glared at her.

"Nyareh, nyareh…" Kaede shook her head. "What am I to do with those three?"

"You pamper them to much." Kikyo muttered.

"Maybe…" Kaede turned to look into the cell and Miroku who was sitting on the bed gave her a smile and nod. "Kikyo I would like to talk to the prisoners alone."

"Hai," Kikyo answered though looked at Kaede wonderingly before she left swiftly.

"Miroku-san…" Kaede whispered when they were alone. "How did you become a slave?"

"Kaede-sama…" Miroku stood up and bowed. "It is nice to meet you again. I am surprised you still remember me. I thought I was only a toddler when I last saw you…"

"I am surprise you remember me…" Kaede smiled. "I had aged some how…"

"How can I forget you?" Miroku said. "Kaede-sama had been a successful leader of Eternal for as far as I remember…"

"You know this baba?" Inuyasha spluttered amazed. "And she is what? The leader of this huge ship?"

"I want to know what made you demons enter Eternal…" Kaede said ignoring Inuyasha rude statement. "I believe that, there wasn't a break in, in my ship."

"I had no idea." Miroku said. "We were somehow transported through space…"

"What the hell was that all about?" Kagome cried when they were outside the corridor and when Rin had let her and Sango go. "You should have told Kaede-sama what my all and mighty sister did to you!"

"That is right!" Sango retort. "Kikyo is sometimes too much!!!! Even Kaede wouldn't dream of stripping away your status! And slapping you in front of the prisoners too… she goes too far sometimes!"

"I just don't want to create more problems, that's all." Rin replied softly. "Besides it was partly my fault…"

"You always take all responsibility even though you are not to blame…" Kagome yelled. "It is those demons fault!"

"I agree to help them…" Rin begin but was cut off by Sango.

"You agreed because you were trying to help us!"

"You don't understand…" Rin tried to explain again.

"We understand you too well Rin," Kagome interrupted her. "You never let anything happen to your friends."

"Would you two please let me explained?" Rin exclaimed exasperatedly.

"I think we should bring you to the doctor now…" Kagome said linking her arm around Rin's and dragged her down the corridor.

"Yeah, your cheeks still looked really red!" Sango said with concern.

Rin sighed inwardly giving up.

"You mean you saw pink lights and the next thing you are in our ship?" Kaede said disbelievingly. "What kind of pink light."

"I am not sure…" Miroku replied looking thoughtful.

"The pink light that looked very much like the crystal ball you keep below this ship." Sesshoumaru answered quietly in the shadows as he still stood at the corner.

He had been very quiet through out the whole conversation while he listened to Miroku and this old woman spoke. Now that they mentioned about the pink light that he had seen he was curious about it too and he wanted to know about that pink crystal ball he saw in that room which he had felt its spiritual force calling out to him.

Kaede stared at Sesshoumaru with surprised.

"You know about the Shikono tama?" Kaede whispered.

"I awoke in that room." Sesshoumaru said. "Rin found me there."

"And you took her hostage." Kaede said.

"Hai," Sesshoumaru replied simply. He wasn't going to tell her that Rin had helped him with her own free will that would have put her into trouble like she was in earlier. "That shikono tama as you had called it had actually transported us into your ship…"

Kaede's eyes widened with surprised. "That can't be…"

"What exactly is the Shikono tama Kaede-sama?" Miroku asked.

"I'll be right back!" Kaede whispered and left.

"OI!!!!" Inuyasha yelled after her. "We didn't want to come into your stinking ship! Let us out!"

"Itai!!!" Rin whispered when Suikotsu dabbed some ointment on her cheeks.

"It is nothing serious just slight redness that will go away soon."

"What happened, Rin-chan?" Eri asked as she assisted Suikotsu.

Eri had been the ship's head nurse for many years since she had backgrounds of doctoring knowledge, but when Suikotsu who was a professional doctor in his previous ship, Kaede thought it would be best if he get the post as the doctor for the ship really needed one.

"What else?" Kagome said crossing her arm around her angrily. "My All and Mighty Sister slapped her!!!! And she did it in front of the prisoners!"

Eri gasped slightly. "That is so mean!"

"It is not only mean!" Sango cried. "It is damaging to her pride!"

"My ship suffered more damage than I did…" Rin whispered after Suikotsu had finished applying the ointment on her. "I think I should go fix it up."

"You need any assisted?" Suikotsu asked. "My shipmate Renkotsu is very good in machines. I'll call him to help you out."

"Thank you Dr. Suikotsu." Rin smiled. "I guess I will meet him at my dock."

"This sucks!" Inuyasha cried. "We shouldn't trust that wench!"

"Watch your mouth Inuyasha!" Sesshoumaru said softly and warningly.

"Well, if she had done her job we wouldn't be stuck here!" Inuyasha continued and lay down on the bunk bed in the cell.

"Kaede-sama seemed pretty taken aback at the news of that pink light and that Shikono tama." Miroku said thoughtfully. "I wonder what is it all about?"

"We will have to wait and see when she comes back." Sesshoumaru said softly thinking about that weird crystal ball too.

Inuyasha looked at his brother disbelievingly. "I hardly believe I am hearing this from The Great Sesshoumaru!"

"What is that suppose to mean?" Sesshoumaru growled at his brother.

"Wait until she comes back?" Inuyasha snort in doubt. "That is something I know you will never do! And I am hearing that from my brother the Taiyoukai of the Western Lands is waiting patiently for that old hag to return!"

Sesshoumaru remained silent and turned away from his brother. What his brother said was true but he wanted to learn more about the Shikono Tama, there must be a reason that it transported them into the ship. He felt the force calling to him, as if pleading for him to help them. He had no idea why he would give in to this force. Was it because he had a feeling that the Shikono Tama had a life of its own? Maybe he was curious about the Shikono tama and this interesting wench he saw at the slavery auction, Rin. He was sure of the feelings he had was that he didn't want to leave her.

Rin was screwing a bolt back into place when Renkotsu appeared. She peeked out from under her ship at his smiling face looking down at her.

"I heard Dr. Suikotsu said you needed help with your ship." He said.

"Hai, I am never good in mechanical subjects, but since it is my ship I had repair it myself to fit my persona." Rin got out from under her ship and stood up. "We had been repairing our own ships for a long time because we don't have anyone who wanted to take the post in machinery sector. Besides that I can say out ships need lots of alterations for the better."

"Well, according to your bio-data, I think I will be able to fix your ship to your liking." Renkotsu said smiling reading at a chard he was holding. "I got this from Ayumi who worked in the Identification Department."

"You could?"

"I will try," Renkotsu replied looking up at Rin's anxious face.

"You are a live safer." Rin hand the screw driver to him. "I had so many other things to do, write a report, and do some more research on Naraku…"

"Leave your ship to me…" Renkotsu said taking the screw driver from her. "You can always ask Bankotsu and Jakotsu for help on the research. When it comes to this information and experiments, Bankotsu is always the best. You can find him at the Experimental Labs, he had been there since he arrived here and Jakotsu knows all the latest technology there is."

"Arigatou…" Rin said walking over to the door. "I will. I need all the help I need now especially I found something…"

Her voice trailed off when she realized that she shouldn't be telling her researches to Renkotsu when it was supposed to be classified. However Renkotsu understood that her researches should be kept a secret smiled at her and waved her away.

"You better be going then." He said turning his back from him and started working on her ship.

"Hai!" Rin cried cheerfully and dashed off.

Rin quickly wrote a report and handed it to the authorities and made her way to the Experimental sector. When she reached the Experimental Lab, Yuki the head of the department was talking to Bankotsu but Jakotsu was no where around the lab. Yuki turned to Rin when she entered the lab and wave at her cheerfully.

"It had been a while you visit me Rin-chan!" Yuki exclaimed walking over to her. "I have a feeling you found something that needed a thorough checkup."

"Hai, actually I found this in Zealot City." Rin said taking out to guns she had confiscated from the guards on Earth. "It looked like a Xenos Needler 2 but I have a feeling it might not be…"

"It looked like it…" Yuki said softly taking the guns from her. "Did you say you got this in Zealot City?"

"Hai, you will be surprised that the city looked like a modern technological site!" Rin explained. "I couldn't believe that it was Zealot City when I got there. By the stories we heard from our ancestors that place took on a drastic change."

"Why are you doing in Zealot City anyways?" Bankotsu asked.

"Kaede-sama put me in charged of the investigation on Naraku, and how he got whole of humans led me there."

"Let me help you with the investigation too." Bankotsu replied. "I can help!"

"Arigatou Bankotsu-sama, but I think you will have to report to Kaede-sama before you can help me." Rin smiled gratefully. "Kaede-sama will want to keep track on all the things in the ship, so it will be better if you informed her about this."

"I will," Bankotsu narrowed his eyes. "For one, I will want to take down that Naraku scum who had given us humans such a bad time."

Rin watched Bankotsu's temper rising wonderingly, it was true that humans had been staying in space for as long as she could remember. When Earth was destroyed humans no longer wanted to stay in a dead place they called Earth and fled. However there were still some that stayed behind, those who were unfortunate were caught and made slaves. Humans had been staying in suffering for such a long time, Rin could understand when Bankotsu was determined to wage war with this demon call Naraku who was now capturing humans in space to be sold as slaves on Earth. Besides that, he had practically killed everyone in his ship.

Her mind then got sidetrack to another demon that was often in her mind. Excusing herself, Rin left the Lab and went straight for the cell sector.

Sesshoumaru, who was sitting on the floor in the corner of the cell, sensed Rin coming closer and stood up. He watched her entered through the automatic doors carrying a tray entering the room. She put her hand on a pad on the wall outside their cell and the bars disappeared. Inuyasha was about to lung at her when Sesshoumaru pulled him back by the back of his collar with one hand. Rin entered the cell and the electronic bars appeared again.

"I thought all of you will be hungry by now." Rin said softly putting the tray down on the bed next to Miroku. "I don't know if you eat human food but this is all we have…"

"I don't eat human food," Sesshoumaru answered shortly.

"Oh… sorry but this is all we have…" Rin shrugged. "I guess I should be going."

"Oh no you don't!" Inuyasha shouted grabbing her arm before Sesshoumaru could stop him. "You better find a way to get us out wench!"

Rin who didn't liked to be ordered around, turned her arm in a way that twist Inuyasha's arm in an odd angle, in returned she was gripping him hostage instead of her. Sesshoumaru raised his eyebrow in amusement.

"Do. Not. Talk. To. Me. Like. That!" Rin emphasized each an every word at him furiously. "We are all train to fight demons. If you move, I guarantee you that the bones in your arm will break!"

"She is not lying…" Miroku said softly looking at Inuyasha's arm position. "That is a very old technique and I believe your name is Rin?"

"Hai," Rin answered and let go of Inuyasha glaring at him irately. "Don't try that on me again…"

"Rin, how long had you been in Eternal?" Miroku asked.

"Ever since I am born." Rin answered turning away and was about to leave when Sesshoumaru stopped her.

"I want to talk to you in private…" Sesshoumaru said.

"You can't…"

"And why would you want to talk to Rin in private?" They all heard Kaede's voice then.

Rin's eyes widened with shock then. Oh no! Was the only thought that came into her head as she turned to see Kaede standing outside the cell.

"So is this report true Rin?" Kaede asked showing Rin, the peace of statement she had written. "They save your life?"

"Hai…" Rin answered. "I was attacked by Naraku's followers and they came along…"

"I believe that the ship belong to Miroku-san." Kaede said. "So in another word of saying Miroku-san saved your life."

"I was only following my master's orders." Miroku answered.

"And this is what we get to save this ungrateful wench!" Inuyasha scoffed.

"Inuyasha, shut up…" Sesshoumaru snapped. "It was my orders to save her." He told Kaede.

"May I ask why a demon like you would want to save a human being?" Kaede asked. "As far as I could recalled, I always remembered that demons what us humans dead!"

"I do not want Rin to die…" Sesshoumaru answered emotionlessly.

Rin turned to Sesshoumaru in surprised. He didn't want her to die? What was that suppose to mean? His beautiful golden stared back her brown ones expressionlessly. Rin couldn't tell what Sesshoumaru was feeling at the moment as he looked at her.

Sesshoumaru stared at Rin's amazed beautiful eyes without giving away his emotions. He had told them the truth that he didn't want to see Rin die. He had no idea what made him say this to this old woman, however he could feel that the old woman was a very understanding person. She would most liking let them go after hearing what he had said.
