Chapter 10- Reunion of Sisters

 

“You are but a nuisance.” Kikyo said in a soft voice as their eyes locked, Kagome gasped as Kikyo came closer to her.

 

`Kikyo what's wrong with you?! Why can't you see that I want to help you?' Kagome thought as she stumbled away as Kikyo took her bow and arrows and aimed one, Kagome stood there scared, she felt like a little girl, lost and alone.

 

With no one around her, no one that cared if she died or lived, no one that cared about how she appeared to them, no one who loved her, she was scared to death.

 

“You are in the way…Naraku fears your soul…” the arrow flew through the air and Kagome screamed as the arrow met her body, but then a flash of blue light pushed the arrow away and Kagome found herself in Seeker's outfit.

 

“What?!” Kikyo cried as the arrow fell to the ground completely useless, burnt to a crisp because of the reaction that had arisen within Kagome's soul, Kagome touched her shoulder but she didn't detransform as she knew she should have.

 

`I have to stop her…but how?' Kagome thought jumping out of the way of the next arrow, she noticed that Kikyo's engagement ring was still on her finger, she caught one of the arrows that Kikyo had shot, she looked at her older sister in despair as memories flashed through her head.

 

Flashbacks-

 

“I failed yet another Math test!” Kagome wailed into her sister's bed, twelve year old Kikyo went over and pulled nine year old Kagome up and pushed her into her computer chair, before placing a hand on Kagome's shoulder.

 

“Okay…let's try this and see if you get it.” Kikyo said writing out an equation, Kagome stared at it for a moment before looking at Kikyo in confusion, Kikyo laughed before showing her how to work it out.

 

Kagome gasped and immediately began to work it out, Kikyo laughed at the enthusiasm that Kagome attacked the problems on her worksheet.

 

A few days later Kagome ran up to Kikyo's room holding up a piece of paper a huge grin in place. “I PASSED! I PASSED!” she cried hugging Kikyo in glee.

 

Next-

 

“Ouch…” a ten year old Kagome cried as the bully kicked her hard in the stomach, she was covered in dirt and Inuyasha was currently serving detention for punching the boy that was now kicking Kagome.

 

Then the boy screamed as someone pulled him by his ear and threw him to the ground, a foot placed itself on the boy's chest, Kikyo had always wore the boy's uniform, saying that skirts always gave her a complex.

 

“I thought Inuyasha made it clear that you were suppose to stay away from her, you were lucky that he was just a friend…I'm family…and I don't like bullies either way.” then her fist was in the boy's face.

 

She served detention for three weeks, but she didn't care as she told Kagome that as long as the boy didn't bother her anymore that she'd happily serve detention for the rest of her life.

 

Next-

 

“Kagome! Kagome!” an eighteen year old Kikyo came running in and grabbed Kagome in a bear hug, Kagome gasped her book dropping from her lap, Kikyo pulled back, tears of happiness glittering in her eyes.

 

“Kikyo, what's wrong?!” Kagome cried in distress at the sight of her sister's tears, Kikyo laughed hugging Kagome before letting her go.

 

“Everything's perfect…I'm getting married! Kakeromoro asked me to marry him! I'm getting married!” Kikyo cried, Kagome gasped before she launched herself into Kikyo's arms.

 

“I'm so glad for you!” she whispered against Kikyo's neck.

 

Next and Last-

 

Kagome and her parents and Kikyo walked down the street, laughing, they had been out celebrating Kikyo's nineteenth birthday, and her engagement.

 

But as they walked and laughed a bullet shot into their father, Kagome screamed and Kikyo pulled her out of the way as their mother fell, but before Kikyo could pull her out of the way again a bullet had embedded itself into Kagome's shoulder.

 

“Kikyo! Promise you'll be there when I…wake…up…” Kagome cried as Kikyo laid her on the ground, Kikyo smiled pushing hair out of Kagome's face.

 

“Promise.” she whispered in Kagome's ear.

 

END

 

“Kikyo! Please! I beg of you! Remember!” Kagome cried running towards Kikyo, throwing the arrow aside launching herself into Kikyo's arms, they stood like that for a moment before Kikyo backed up and the side of her hand met with the top of Kagome's head.

 

And then she pulled the hand away and Kagome found herself being glared at by a Kikyo that was dressed in street clothes, she had succeeded, her sister was back.

 

“Kagome! You idiot! You could've been hurt!” but before Kikyo could continue Kagome hugged her, tears leaking out of her eyes, and Kikyo returned the gesture as tears leaked out of her own.

 

“Sister….Kikyo, I'm so glad that you're safe.” Kagome whispered as they pulled apart, Kikyo sighed wiping the tears away.

 

“I'm glad that you're safe as well…but we need to get out of here or Naraku will try to take your soul…c'mon.” she grabbed Kagome's hand and dragged the girl out of the shield, Kagome's outfit changed back without her even attempting to do it herself.

 

“Wait….we need to go to the hospital…there's someone that's been wanting to see you.” this time it was Kagome who was dragging Kikyo; they entered the hospital and went straight to Kakeromoro's room, his eyes revived when they landed on Kikyo.

 

“Kikyo?” he whispered, she gasped and ran to him, her eyes glowing with happiness as she crashed into his chest, he hugged her tightly and Kagome leaned against the door, hugging herself, at least her sister was happy….at least her sister was happy.
