Hey everyone.. here is the chapter I promised... and I really hope you like it... I am sorry for the long absence but I really couldn't help it.. moving to a new place and all... all the mess and junk.. but anyway.. I suppose you are all wondering what she chose... lol but anyway.. this might not be as long as I hoped it would be ... so please forgive me and I hope you like.. lemme know k? thanks.. oh and I am still working on the next chapters to my other stories. I have no idea how long it will take me to comeplete them so please try and be patient with me on those. I just got inspiration with this one so you know how that goes right? lol well I guess I should let you get on with the rest of this chapter, ne? lol ok well have fun and thanks again for the waiting and all.....

Chapter Five: Choice
Miroku's POV
' I hope she chooses wisely. I do not know what I would do if I were put in her place. If I chose good, that means I would have to stop my 'roaming' hands and I really do not know if I could do that. If I chose bad, I would be just as nasty as Naraku and I would not wish that upon my worst enemy ( which IS Naraku, lmao).'
He stood there as she made her confessions and declairations of love for her feudal 'family'. His dark lavender eyes misted over with held back tears as he watched the brave girl.... no woman that stood before the group with amazing courage. He could not stay silent any longer. He looked at Sango, grabbed her hand in his which made her look up at him. He noticed that she too had tears in her eyes, but the only difference is hers where actually coming down her face. He gave her another gentle squeeze and then.....
" WAIT!!!!!!!!!!!!" he screamed as he ran forward towards Kagome.
Everyone looked at him like he had lost his mind but when he said his next sentence they all understood what and why interupting Kagome was so important. The Gods on the other hand were losing their patience and told Miroku to hurry it on so that they could leave. Miroku narrowed his eyes at them and said that it was important to everyone here what he had to say and that he thought that Gods were supposed to have infanite patience. At that they stayed quiet until they knew it was time for Kagome to choose her destiny.
" Kagome, I know you are truely sorry for what you have done and I know you can't take it back but would you if you could? I do forgive you for it, I know that he had hurt you one to many times Kagome, and I just want you to know that I too love you like a little sister to me. Please think clearly and wisely before making your decision." he said to her, bowed and then went back to his spot beside Sango.
Sango's POV
" WAIT!!!!!!!!!!!!" Miroku screamed and ran forward towards Kagome.
' Oh Kami, what is that idiot doing? Is he going out of his mind and what was that look in his eyes when he looked at me before running out there like the village idiot? '
Sango strained to hear what he had whispered to the Gods but it was all made clear in his speech he was giving. That made her cry harder and harder. She wanted...... NEEDED to tell Kagome that all was forgiven and that she loved her like a sister as well, and always would... along the same lines and Miroku's speech went.....

" Thank you Miroku, that means alot to me and I have thought hard and long about the choice I am about to make.... I choose..."
" Wait a minute... I haven't gotten to talk yet." Sango said slowly and loudly.
A few groans were heard but suprisingly they came from none other then Kagome and Naraku. Sango blushed a little before continuing what she was going to say to her 'sister'. She took Kagome's hands and looked down to her.
" Kagome, I know this is hard for you to do but it is also hard for me too. I DO think of you as a little sister you know, and I don't want you to go away or turn evil. I want you to stay the same, the way you are now. I don't know if I could bare to lose another family member to evil." Sango said breaking down and crying into Kagome's small and shocked form.
" Sango, listen to me. I have already decided, I just have to get the words out of my mouth without people interupting me. I do love you too Big Sister." she said with a small smile on her face. " But I know I have made the right choice in this."
Sango nodded and released the smaller, younger girl. She stood and turned and went back to Miroku. Having one of them girly moments she laid her head down on Miroku's shoulder, which got a cute little blush out of him. She noticed this tiny display and smiled slightly. Kirara brushed against Kagome's leg making Kagome jump because she wasn't expecting something soft and fuzzy to touch her.
Naraku's POV
' Oh you have to be fucking kidding me!' he thought after Sango had stopped Kagome yet again from speaking.
It was okay that the stupid monk did it once but the damn demon slayer had to go and stop her again and that really pissed him off. He wanted to know what Kagome would choose. He was hoping that she would choose to be evil but knowing her she will choose good and then die. He shifted his weight a little to stop from going to Kagome and telling her to just get on with it, but that would not do.
Finally they stopped bugging her and he did not notice that he sighed in his contentment. She stared at the young beauty before him and was wondering what it was about her that seemed to draw his very being to her. Something about her that just caught him in its trap. Maybe it was the evil that lay right beneath the surface of her skin. At that thought he sighed again...... and watched her make her decision.
Kagura's POV
Kagura of course noticed his impatience and his sighing and wondered what it was about the little human woman-child that had caught his attention. He definately liked her for more then just a friend but what would happen if she turned evil. What would happen if she turned good and died? Would he take it out on her or would he just get over her like he did Kikyou?
' Why do I have to be stuck with a man that has a 'thing' for human MIKO's that could kill us at any moment.' She sighed as she watched the little miko stand before the Gods and Godessess of Japan.
Kagura noticed it then. There was a glint in the little miko's eyes. Something was either not right or the little miko had something up her sleave. There had to be something that everyone else was not aware of. Even the Kami's knew nothing of it and didn't seem to be paying all that much attention to Kagome.
' I wonder what the little Mi....'
Normal POV
" I am ready to tell you my decision. " at that statement everyone held their breath. Everyone but the Kami's of course. They already knew what would happen but they had to play dumb and go along with it to make everyone think that she had changed her own destiny.
" Continue, then child so that we may leave."
" I have chosen the choice not to choose. I can't do it and I will not do it. I won't be evil and I am already good so why would I have to choose?"
" Well, my child. Since you have chosen not to choose we have to give you punishment. I am sorry my child but you had to picked at least one but you haven't so the punishment is......."
" Oh quit dragging it out, if you won't tell the poor girl I will." threatened the Goddess.
" Fine, your punishment is... to live half evil, half good but you can only do so one at a time. Half of a year you will be good and the other half you will be evil. I am sorry but that is the way it is to be. We will give you a guide though. One for your evil side, which will be a hanyou. And another guide/friend when you are good and in order to find out if you are human, youkai or hanyou you will have to wait. Your guardian/friend/guide is our Top Angel, Aria. She is full youkai, half angel, half InuYoukai."( I know that doesn't make any sense but lets pretend that her dominant side is InuYoukai.)
All of a sudden there was a bright flash and then a beam of light came down from the heavens, and in that light was a beautiful creature flying down to earth on Silvery Bluish pearly (eh? lol)wings. She had Sunny Golden hair tipped with red. Her eyes were that of the purest emerald green, so beautiful they put the oceans and seas to shame. Her lips were the color of the best blossoming red rose, her skin the color of creamysilk.
They all stared at the newcomer. She was beautiful yes, but she didn't look like much, she didn't look like she would be able to hurt a flea. She was taller then most but still and she looked bigger because of her wings and all but how was she in battle? She landed and folded her wings into her and bowed to the Gods and Goddesses.
" Ah, Aria. Glad you could come on such short notice. This will be your new charge, see to it that she is not harmed and help her in her time of need, you know what to do."
Aria nodded and then turned to Kagome and bowed low. Her long golden tresses barely hanging above the ground. She straightened from her bow and looked to everyone else and caught them staring. Most looked away in embarassment. One though still stared at her unabashed. She knew this man, but somehow had not remembered him until this very moment. He obviously was still trying to find out if he had seen her before. They had met before she had joined her fathers' people in heaven. She did look a little different then but he still looked completely the same.
Aria looked to one of the Gods' with questioning eyes. He nodded confirming that she was correct in her asumesion. Naraku..... she hadn't thought of that word and/or man in a long long time. The story of them is not so complicated, at least to them it wasn't.....
FLASKBACK
A couple sat under a sakra blossom tree, watching the blossoms fall the the earth. The male, a tan skined, dark haired, red eyed male but there was something calm and happy about this man. Ah, there it is.... he is in love and had to ask the woman he loved to become his mate. He was so nervous he didn't know if he would be able to do it but of course the young golden haired, green eyed female sensed his uneasiness and asked him what was wrong. Well he couldn't lie to her and say nothing so he just came out with it.
" Aria, my love. You and I both know that we love each other very much, and I was well..... I was.... I was wondering if... if you would.. uh.... wouldyoubemymate?" he said the last blushing and putting his hand to his mouth.
" Eh? Koi, you have to repeat the last part I didn't get that?" but of course she did... she wanted to hear it properly.
" I was wondering if you would be my mate?" he said looking down at his hands.
" Oh, my love I have waited for you to ask me that for ages now. Yes, yes I will... YES!" she screamed happily. He couldn't help but smile along with her.
The earth started to shake and then there was a loud crashing and booming noise coming from directly behind them. The moved quickly out of the way, Naraku pushed Aria behind him to guard her. They looked up and there was a giant white dog. There was a cloud that came around the dog and when the dust was settled, there stood InuTaisho in all his glory.
" You my dear, are supposed to be mating my son. Either one I don't care, but you are promised to breed with one of them and thats that. You are not to touch that insect, do you hear me?! Your mother promised you to my sons and you will be mated to one of them!" he started to stalk toward Aria.
" NO! I won't. I will have nothing to do with that snob and that brat of yours. One is cold hearted and ruthless and the other is a complete moron."
" How dare you call my sons names! You are not worthy of either of them, as a matter of fact, neither is that thing 'protecting' you. I think I will get rid of you both, you will have an eternity together in hell............. Die!" he screamed charging at Naraku.
Aria not wanting Naraku to die, jumped in front of him and launched herself and the oncoming enraged demon. There was something neither Naraku or InuTaisho knew about Aria. For her selfless act she had condamned InuTaisho to death and so that Naraku wouldn't morn her and would move on, erased his memory of her. Oh yes, InuTaisho and Naraku lived but they no longer had a grudge. Until one day, when Naraku fell in love yet once again. This time it wasn't InuTaisho to stop him, it was InuYasha. So that is how the plan came into action.
ENDFLASHBACK
Kagome's POV
Kagome noticed how Naraku was studying Aria and she kinda got jealous. She couldn't help it but it was just so new to her to have this 'angel' around. She marched over to Aria and walked around her. Sizing her up and checking to see what was so special about her. Kagome couldn't find a fault with her what-so-ever. Aria cocked her head to the side and raised an eyebrow.
Kagome just rolled her eyes and stalked back into Kaede's hut. Not caring if anyone followed or not. Sango, Shippou and Miroku followed but Kirara, Kagura, Kanna and Naraku all stayed behind. Kirara had gone and picked a flower for Aria and brought it back to Aria with it hanging out of her mouth.
Aria saw this cute NekoYoukai do such a sweet gesture that she smiled, she truely smiled and then there was a loud scream of pain. Aria looked up to see Naraku on his knees' holding his head as if it hurt. She tiltled her head and knitted her eyebrows together. When Naraku looked up once again, she saw it in his eyes. Not curiousity or wonder but recognition. He knew her and knew what had happened between them once again. After the incident with InuYasha and Kikyou they erased his memory of her once again, but his memory was back yet again and there was nothing to be done about it but ride it out and see what would happen next.
He got up from his posistion and went to Aria. He looked her over and nodded, he then looked deep into her eyes and knew it was her. He was so happy he didn't know what to do. So he did the very first thing that popped into his head. He hugged her tight to his body like he would never let go, but Kagome seeing this from the window in the hut stormed out and broke them apart.
" What do you think you are doing hugging my man..." looking and Aria. At the sound of the voice Naraku let go of Aria. Then Kagomerealized what she had said and turned to Naraku......" I mean what do you think you are doing hugging my guard, Naraku?"
" I have known Aria many years, Kagome. Me and her have a VERY long past." He looked at Aria then, with love, sorrow, longing and regret among others not noticable.
Kagome saw this and then looked to Aria's eyes which held the same emotion. She didn't like this, not one bit. Something was up and she was going to find out the whole story. She looked to Naraku but he wasn't paying attention to her. She tapped his shoulder and didn't get his attetion so she hit him open palm in the back of the head. That certainly got his attention, he glared at Kagome. They both heard the giggle of Aria and Naraku smiled along with it. Kagome did it once again and this is what she got...
" WHAT IS IT YOU WANT, MIKO?"
" Tell me the past you two have?"
" No."
" Why?"
" Because I don't want you to know right now and I don't know if Aria would like you to know either, it is her past also." he said reasonably. " I will be taking my leave." he nodded to Kagome and then bowed to Aria. Which Kagome didn't like at all. As soon as Naraku was gone she turned to Aria and said..
" Okay you... out with it... what is the BIG secret you and MY Naraku share?"
Aria raised her eyebrows and then just shrugged before walking into the hut but still keeping an eye on Kagome. She would be turning soon, in about a day or less she would be a hanyou. What kind? No one knows until the transformation is comeplete. Kagome walked into the hut after Aria had sat down and glared daggers at her. Kagome then thought back to when she first saw Aria, she didn't talk either... and then it hit her.. was she mute?
" Aria, can I ask you a question?" Kagome said staring at her.
: Nod Nod :
" Do you talk or are you mute?
: Shake Shake :
" No to what? You don't talk or are you mute?"
Aria held up her index finger and Kagome's mouth went 'o'. Aria nodded and then shrugged again. Kagome asked her why and Aria just looked down to the floor. Kagome then asked how long and Aria made a thumbs up and then brought the thumb slowly across her throat. Again Kagome made that face and nodded in understanding. Aria hadn't talked since she died and became an angel.
" Can you? " Shippou asked.
" ..." raised an eyebrow.
" Can you talk?"
: Shrug :
Night had finally decended upon the sleepy village. After everyone was sound asleep, Aria snuck out and went to the place she was killed. She stopped when she noticed that there was a well there, right wear she had been killed. Well, the Gods did say that her blood was strong magic back then, even stronger now. She looked around to make sure no one was around and sang, sang to the spot of her most happiest memory and worst memory. She was so caught up in her song she didn't hear the approaching person.
" Ah, I see I am not the only one that likes to come to this spot."
Aria knew that voice, she turned as fast as she could and stared at the dead, cold amber eyes that once belonged to her killer. They now belonged to his eldest son, since the youngest was dead and with his father at the moment, In hell. Her eyes widened and she backed away slowly.
" I wouldn't do that. You know I could catch you, even with those wings of yours, but I do have a question for you.... How pre-tell.... do you kill an angel?"
She shook all over from that question, she was about to unfold her wings and take flight when a strong but delicate hand grabbed her. She looked into the eyes that were once cold but now held sadness and curiosity. She was about to go defensive but at those amazing questioning eyes she knew that he wouldn't hurt her. At least not yet.
" Show me, Please." he added the last part on a whisper.
In so much shock, Aria didn't know what to do. Until the hand around her arm tightened. She winced and nodded, he released her and she moved her hands toward his head. He being the cautious demon he is, backed up. She cocked her head and tried again. This time he didn't move. The moment her cool slender hands touched his flesh he saw it....

They were both panting by the time that vision was over. Lord Sesshoumaru looked at his ex-entended with shock, remorse and sorrow. The Oricle left out a bunch of gory details.
" I did not know it went like that. I thought you had killed him because he was going to bring you to the Western Lands to mate me." ( I know how InuTaisho died and all, but I am just changing it for the sake of the story, k?)
She stood there mouth open. She shook her head vigorously indicating that she didn't do it because of that and he know knew what had happened anyway. He looked at her and asked her why she didn't talk but all she would do is shrug. He told her that he had heard her singing so he knew she could very well speak and that she sounded pretty nice actually ( pretty good, to be exact... lmao).
What they didn't know is that Naraku had been watching in Kanna's mirror. So Kagome would be getting some dreams tonight, dreams that would tell her his deepest, darkest secret. The only person to actually get to know him and want to mate him had sacraficed herself for him.
He had missed her so much over the years, when he could remember her. He had to ask her what they had done to him to make him forget. He went back to the mirror and watched Aria once more.
Sesshoumaru stood there looking at the girl his father had 'killed', but she stood there plain as day. Yes, she was an angel but she had to be more then just InuYoukai to begin with. He took in her features and had to say that she would have been a good mate and would have produced handsome/beautiful pups.
' Gods, were is this line of thought going? She is an angel and .... wait a minute... does she still love Naraku?' Sesshoumaru thought.
" Aria, Do you still love Naraku, is that another reason why you were sent here, to patch things up?"
Aria stood there, looking at everything but Sesshoumaru. She really didn't wish to break her vow to never talk again, it had gotten her into so much trouble to begin with. That was one of the things that Naraku loved the best was her voice. She did wish to explain to Sesshoumaru but not fully.
' I suppose I can talk to him but then.... oh well, he was caught in this just as well. His father killed me but I also killed him when it really wasn't needed. I just protected the one I love and as to loving Naraku.... well.....'
" No. "
Sesshoumaru stared at the angel that hadn't spoken in 10 years or so. Her voice matched her appearence. She is an angel and her voice is angelic. With one single word she had managed to make him forget everything, made him forget their conversastions and made him forget that he had asked her something.
She touched his shoulder to get his attention but something happened. There was a spark where she had touched him. They both saw it, snapping Sesshoumaru back into his thoughts. He then looked down to his shoulder and noticed that his arm was back where it used to be, but there was also a small burn mark on his clothes the size of a small fingertip. He looked back at Aria and noticed that she was staring at her fingertip in awe, shock and a little horror. To get her off of the subject he knew nothing about he asked her....
" No what?"
" No I wasn't sent here to settle things and as to if I love him or not yes I do, but the thing is, I can never be with him again because he was with me before and when I died. Basically, now that I am back on Earth I am a new person but since I died when I was in Naraku's care I am not to be in it again."
" Oh, so that means that since you died and he was there but lived you can never be with him again and that you do love him just not in the same way as you did before seeing as how you are now a 'different' being?"
" Yes." she said with a small nod.
" You do know that Naraku and Kagome are enemies? They are after the same Jewel."
" Sesshoumaru-sama, they might think they are enemies at the present time but that will shortly change. I do know somethings that will happen but I am forbidden to say anything so please tell no one of what I say. It doesn't matter if what I say now seems unimportant but please tell no one."
" I must go, they come." with that said he left into the night.
As Aria turned she noticed the smell changed. She could still smell Sesshoumaru's sweet and spicy scent but there was something else. She turned a little to the right and caught the magically aura of the mirror Naraku was using to watch her. She noticed that shortly after she spoted it that it disappeared. She started walking to the group that was closing in on her fast, and met them halfway.
" Where were you? Are you okay? Did you sense something?" Kagome asked.
" I am fine Kagome-chan. I only went for a walk into the woods, they are lovely at night and I needed time to think on somethings, thats all."
They were all stunned that she had spoken in front of them and were awed at how beautiful her voice was. They weren't in a trance like Sesshoumaru was, and that is because she had forgotten that her 'angel' voice ( I know itdoesn't silly and all but if you watch the movie Date With An Angel, you will notice that she makes a noise and they all go into a trance lol)did that to humans and demons alike so she had to get used to using her 'Aria' voice. The one that Naraku loved so much.
" You can speak." Miroku said.
" Yes I can, but I vowed not to because it was what got me in trouble in the first place. Kagome you will know of mine and Naraku's past, I am sure sometime soon."
Kagome looked away and then down at her feet, into the trees, up at the stars, the moon, anywhere but at Aria's eyes. She had been shown what had happened by Naraku in a dream and she remembered every bit of it. Aria then said that she knew what had happened and that it was ok for Kagome not to worry. Kagome nodded her head and said thank you.
They started walking back to the hut when Kagome stopped and started glowing, the glow got brighter and the brighter it got the louder Kagome would scream. Aria knew what was happening so she stepped forward and held Kagome's limp form to her body for protection. Kagome started kicking and screaming but Aria would not let go of her charge. Shortly after that Kagome stopped moving and was just panting heavily.
" Thank you." Kagome croaked out, her voice raw from the screaming she had done.
" Hush now. You will need to rest your voice, I didn't expect you to change all in one day but I suppose that is how it is to be." Aria said looking down at the NekoHanyou in her arms.
" Let us go back to the hut and we can settle down for the rest of the night." Aria said putting Kagome down on her own feet.
Kagome did look a little different. She had the same black hair, only longer but it was her eyes that had changed the most. When she looked at you a certain way they would glow like a cat's eyes would. It was a little creepy at times. They made it to the village and settled down inside Kaede's hut.
" Tomorrow, I help you. You were supposed to have a different person to help you through this but they just told me that I will have to be the one helping you through it all if that is alright with you, Kagome-chan?." Aria said to Kagome, and Kagome nodded in agreement.
They all stilled after that and their breathing because steady and strong. They were sleeping peacefully not knowing that a certain danger was about to erupt around them in a little under a week.
Naraku's POV
' She doesn't love me anymore? Well she said she does, just not the same, not like she used too. Well I suppose that is just how it is supposed to be. And then there is Kagome, she got jealous? :Laugh: She got jealous because Aria got my attention and she didn't. Maybe there is hope for her yet, and ohhhh when she transformed into her Hanyou form, she looked....... tastey.'
Naraku got up from his sitting posistion and told Kanna that she could go to her room and go to bed now. He stood at his window, looking off into the distance that he knew the 'miko' was. He would come up with a plan to woo her no matter how long it took or how hard he had to try to win her heart. He knew in his soul that he had to have her, and he knew that Aria would put them together somehow, just as there was something between her and Lord Sesshoumaru.
He walked out of his study, down the dark, dank halls of his palace. He reached his bedchamber after walking for about five minutes. He opened his door and kicked it shut, just as he got in bed and was about to close his eyes, he had a brillant idea.
" Muaaahaaaahahahahahahahahahaaaaaaa hehehe just wait until they find out." he said as he drifted off to blissful sleep.

Chapter Five: Choice
Miroku's POV
' I hope she chooses wisely. I do not know what I would do if I were put in her place. If I chose good, that means I would have to stop my 'roaming' hands and I really do not know if I could do that. If I chose bad, I would be just as nasty as Naraku and I would not wish that upon my worst enemy ( which IS Naraku, lmao).'
He stood there as she made her confessions and declairations of love for her feudal 'family'. His dark lavender eyes misted over with held back tears as he watched the brave girl.... no woman that stood before the group with amazing courage. He could not stay silent any longer. He looked at Sango, grabbed her hand in his which made her look up at him. He noticed that she too had tears in her eyes, but the only difference is hers where actually coming down her face. He gave her another gentle squeeze and then.....
" WAIT!!!!!!!!!!!!" he screamed as he ran forward towards Kagome.
Everyone looked at him like he had lost his mind but when he said his next sentence they all understood what and why interupting Kagome was so important. The Gods on the other hand were losing their patience and told Miroku to hurry it on so that they could leave. Miroku narrowed his eyes at them and said that it was important to everyone here what he had to say and that he thought that Gods were supposed to have infanite patience. At that they stayed quiet until they knew it was time for Kagome to choose her destiny.
" Kagome, I know you are truely sorry for what you have done and I know you can't take it back but would you if you could? I do forgive you for it, I know that he had hurt you one to many times Kagome, and I just want you to know that I too love you like a little sister to me. Please think clearly and wisely before making your decision." he said to her, bowed and then went back to his spot beside Sango.
Sango's POV
" WAIT!!!!!!!!!!!!" Miroku screamed and ran forward towards Kagome.
' Oh Kami, what is that idiot doing? Is he going out of his mind and what was that look in his eyes when he looked at me before running out there like the village idiot? '
Sango strained to hear what he had whispered to the Gods but it was all made clear in his speech he was giving. That made her cry harder and harder. She wanted...... NEEDED to tell Kagome that all was forgiven and that she loved her like a sister as well, and always would... along the same lines and Miroku's speech went.....

" Wait a minute... I haven't gotten to talk yet." Sango said slowly and loudly.
A few groans were heard but suprisingly they came from none other then Kagome and Naraku. Sango blushed a little before continuing what she was going to say to her 'sister'. She took Kagome's hands and looked down to her.
" Kagome, I know this is hard for you to do but it is also hard for me too. I DO think of you as a little sister you know, and I don't want you to go away or turn evil. I want you to stay the same, the way you are now. I don't know if I could bare to lose another family member to evil." Sango said breaking down and crying into Kagome's small and shocked form.
" Sango, listen to me. I have already decided, I just have to get the words out of my mouth without people interupting me. I do love you too Big Sister." she said with a small smile on her face. " But I know I have made the right choice in this."
Sango nodded and released the smaller, younger girl. She stood and turned and went back to Miroku. Having one of them girly moments she laid her head down on Miroku's shoulder, which got a cute little blush out of him. She noticed this tiny display and smiled slightly. Kirara brushed against Kagome's leg making Kagome jump because she wasn't expecting something soft and fuzzy to touch her.
Naraku's POV
' Oh you have to be fucking kidding me!' he thought after Sango had stopped Kagome yet again from speaking.
It was okay that the stupid monk did it once but the damn demon slayer had to go and stop her again and that really pissed him off. He wanted to know what Kagome would choose. He was hoping that she would choose to be evil but knowing her she will choose good and then die. He shifted his weight a little to stop from going to Kagome and telling her to just get on with it, but that would not do.
Finally they stopped bugging her and he did not notice that he sighed in his contentment. She stared at the young beauty before him and was wondering what it was about her that seemed to draw his very being to her. Something about her that just caught him in its trap. Maybe it was the evil that lay right beneath the surface of her skin. At that thought he sighed again...... and watched her make her decision.
Kagura's POV
Kagura of course noticed his impatience and his sighing and wondered what it was about the little human woman-child that had caught his attention. He definately liked her for more then just a friend but what would happen if she turned evil. What would happen if she turned good and died? Would he take it out on her or would he just get over her like he did Kikyou?
' Why do I have to be stuck with a man that has a 'thing' for human MIKO's that could kill us at any moment.' She sighed as she watched the little miko stand before the Gods and Godessess of Japan.
Kagura noticed it then. There was a glint in the little miko's eyes. Something was either not right or the little miko had something up her sleave. There had to be something that everyone else was not aware of. Even the Kami's knew nothing of it and didn't seem to be paying all that much attention to Kagome.
' I wonder what the little Mi....'
Normal POV
" I am ready to tell you my decision. " at that statement everyone held their breath. Everyone but the Kami's of course. They already knew what would happen but they had to play dumb and go along with it to make everyone think that she had changed her own destiny.
" Continue, then child so that we may leave."
" I have chosen the choice not to choose. I can't do it and I will not do it. I won't be evil and I am already good so why would I have to choose?"
" Well, my child. Since you have chosen not to choose we have to give you punishment. I am sorry my child but you had to picked at least one but you haven't so the punishment is......."
" Oh quit dragging it out, if you won't tell the poor girl I will." threatened the Goddess.
" Fine, your punishment is... to live half evil, half good but you can only do so one at a time. Half of a year you will be good and the other half you will be evil. I am sorry but that is the way it is to be. We will give you a guide though. One for your evil side, which will be a hanyou. And another guide/friend when you are good and in order to find out if you are human, youkai or hanyou you will have to wait. Your guardian/friend/guide is our Top Angel, Aria. She is full youkai, half angel, half InuYoukai."( I know that doesn't make any sense but lets pretend that her dominant side is InuYoukai.)
All of a sudden there was a bright flash and then a beam of light came down from the heavens, and in that light was a beautiful creature flying down to earth on Silvery Bluish pearly (eh? lol)wings. She had Sunny Golden hair tipped with red. Her eyes were that of the purest emerald green, so beautiful they put the oceans and seas to shame. Her lips were the color of the best blossoming red rose, her skin the color of creamysilk.
They all stared at the newcomer. She was beautiful yes, but she didn't look like much, she didn't look like she would be able to hurt a flea. She was taller then most but still and she looked bigger because of her wings and all but how was she in battle? She landed and folded her wings into her and bowed to the Gods and Goddesses.
" Ah, Aria. Glad you could come on such short notice. This will be your new charge, see to it that she is not harmed and help her in her time of need, you know what to do."
Aria nodded and then turned to Kagome and bowed low. Her long golden tresses barely hanging above the ground. She straightened from her bow and looked to everyone else and caught them staring. Most looked away in embarassment. One though still stared at her unabashed. She knew this man, but somehow had not remembered him until this very moment. He obviously was still trying to find out if he had seen her before. They had met before she had joined her fathers' people in heaven. She did look a little different then but he still looked completely the same.
Aria looked to one of the Gods' with questioning eyes. He nodded confirming that she was correct in her asumesion. Naraku..... she hadn't thought of that word and/or man in a long long time. The story of them is not so complicated, at least to them it wasn't.....
FLASKBACK
A couple sat under a sakra blossom tree, watching the blossoms fall the the earth. The male, a tan skined, dark haired, red eyed male but there was something calm and happy about this man. Ah, there it is.... he is in love and had to ask the woman he loved to become his mate. He was so nervous he didn't know if he would be able to do it but of course the young golden haired, green eyed female sensed his uneasiness and asked him what was wrong. Well he couldn't lie to her and say nothing so he just came out with it.
" Aria, my love. You and I both know that we love each other very much, and I was well..... I was.... I was wondering if... if you would.. uh.... wouldyoubemymate?" he said the last blushing and putting his hand to his mouth.
" Eh? Koi, you have to repeat the last part I didn't get that?" but of course she did... she wanted to hear it properly.
" I was wondering if you would be my mate?" he said looking down at his hands.
" Oh, my love I have waited for you to ask me that for ages now. Yes, yes I will... YES!" she screamed happily. He couldn't help but smile along with her.
The earth started to shake and then there was a loud crashing and booming noise coming from directly behind them. The moved quickly out of the way, Naraku pushed Aria behind him to guard her. They looked up and there was a giant white dog. There was a cloud that came around the dog and when the dust was settled, there stood InuTaisho in all his glory.
" You my dear, are supposed to be mating my son. Either one I don't care, but you are promised to breed with one of them and thats that. You are not to touch that insect, do you hear me?! Your mother promised you to my sons and you will be mated to one of them!" he started to stalk toward Aria.
" NO! I won't. I will have nothing to do with that snob and that brat of yours. One is cold hearted and ruthless and the other is a complete moron."
" How dare you call my sons names! You are not worthy of either of them, as a matter of fact, neither is that thing 'protecting' you. I think I will get rid of you both, you will have an eternity together in hell............. Die!" he screamed charging at Naraku.
Aria not wanting Naraku to die, jumped in front of him and launched herself and the oncoming enraged demon. There was something neither Naraku or InuTaisho knew about Aria. For her selfless act she had condamned InuTaisho to death and so that Naraku wouldn't morn her and would move on, erased his memory of her. Oh yes, InuTaisho and Naraku lived but they no longer had a grudge. Until one day, when Naraku fell in love yet once again. This time it wasn't InuTaisho to stop him, it was InuYasha. So that is how the plan came into action.
ENDFLASHBACK
Kagome's POV
Kagome noticed how Naraku was studying Aria and she kinda got jealous. She couldn't help it but it was just so new to her to have this 'angel' around. She marched over to Aria and walked around her. Sizing her up and checking to see what was so special about her. Kagome couldn't find a fault with her what-so-ever. Aria cocked her head to the side and raised an eyebrow.
Kagome just rolled her eyes and stalked back into Kaede's hut. Not caring if anyone followed or not. Sango, Shippou and Miroku followed but Kirara, Kagura, Kanna and Naraku all stayed behind. Kirara had gone and picked a flower for Aria and brought it back to Aria with it hanging out of her mouth.
Aria saw this cute NekoYoukai do such a sweet gesture that she smiled, she truely smiled and then there was a loud scream of pain. Aria looked up to see Naraku on his knees' holding his head as if it hurt. She tiltled her head and knitted her eyebrows together. When Naraku looked up once again, she saw it in his eyes. Not curiousity or wonder but recognition. He knew her and knew what had happened between them once again. After the incident with InuYasha and Kikyou they erased his memory of her once again, but his memory was back yet again and there was nothing to be done about it but ride it out and see what would happen next.
He got up from his posistion and went to Aria. He looked her over and nodded, he then looked deep into her eyes and knew it was her. He was so happy he didn't know what to do. So he did the very first thing that popped into his head. He hugged her tight to his body like he would never let go, but Kagome seeing this from the window in the hut stormed out and broke them apart.
" What do you think you are doing hugging my man..." looking and Aria. At the sound of the voice Naraku let go of Aria. Then Kagomerealized what she had said and turned to Naraku......" I mean what do you think you are doing hugging my guard, Naraku?"
" I have known Aria many years, Kagome. Me and her have a VERY long past." He looked at Aria then, with love, sorrow, longing and regret among others not noticable.
Kagome saw this and then looked to Aria's eyes which held the same emotion. She didn't like this, not one bit. Something was up and she was going to find out the whole story. She looked to Naraku but he wasn't paying attention to her. She tapped his shoulder and didn't get his attetion so she hit him open palm in the back of the head. That certainly got his attention, he glared at Kagome. They both heard the giggle of Aria and Naraku smiled along with it. Kagome did it once again and this is what she got...
" WHAT IS IT YOU WANT, MIKO?"
" Tell me the past you two have?"
" No."
" Why?"
" Because I don't want you to know right now and I don't know if Aria would like you to know either, it is her past also." he said reasonably. " I will be taking my leave." he nodded to Kagome and then bowed to Aria. Which Kagome didn't like at all. As soon as Naraku was gone she turned to Aria and said..
" Okay you... out with it... what is the BIG secret you and MY Naraku share?"
Aria raised her eyebrows and then just shrugged before walking into the hut but still keeping an eye on Kagome. She would be turning soon, in about a day or less she would be a hanyou. What kind? No one knows until the transformation is comeplete. Kagome walked into the hut after Aria had sat down and glared daggers at her. Kagome then thought back to when she first saw Aria, she didn't talk either... and then it hit her.. was she mute?
" Aria, can I ask you a question?" Kagome said staring at her.
: Nod Nod :
" Do you talk or are you mute?
: Shake Shake :
" No to what? You don't talk or are you mute?"
Aria held up her index finger and Kagome's mouth went 'o'. Aria nodded and then shrugged again. Kagome asked her why and Aria just looked down to the floor. Kagome then asked how long and Aria made a thumbs up and then brought the thumb slowly across her throat. Again Kagome made that face and nodded in understanding. Aria hadn't talked since she died and became an angel.
" Can you? " Shippou asked.
" ..." raised an eyebrow.
" Can you talk?"
: Shrug :
Night had finally decended upon the sleepy village. After everyone was sound asleep, Aria snuck out and went to the place she was killed. She stopped when she noticed that there was a well there, right wear she had been killed. Well, the Gods did say that her blood was strong magic back then, even stronger now. She looked around to make sure no one was around and sang, sang to the spot of her most happiest memory and worst memory. She was so caught up in her song she didn't hear the approaching person.
" Ah, I see I am not the only one that likes to come to this spot."
Aria knew that voice, she turned as fast as she could and stared at the dead, cold amber eyes that once belonged to her killer. They now belonged to his eldest son, since the youngest was dead and with his father at the moment, In hell. Her eyes widened and she backed away slowly.
" I wouldn't do that. You know I could catch you, even with those wings of yours, but I do have a question for you.... How pre-tell.... do you kill an angel?"
She shook all over from that question, she was about to unfold her wings and take flight when a strong but delicate hand grabbed her. She looked into the eyes that were once cold but now held sadness and curiosity. She was about to go defensive but at those amazing questioning eyes she knew that he wouldn't hurt her. At least not yet.
" Show me, Please." he added the last part on a whisper.
In so much shock, Aria didn't know what to do. Until the hand around her arm tightened. She winced and nodded, he released her and she moved her hands toward his head. He being the cautious demon he is, backed up. She cocked her head and tried again. This time he didn't move. The moment her cool slender hands touched his flesh he saw it....

They were both panting by the time that vision was over. Lord Sesshoumaru looked at his ex-entended with shock, remorse and sorrow. The Oricle left out a bunch of gory details.
" I did not know it went like that. I thought you had killed him because he was going to bring you to the Western Lands to mate me." ( I know how InuTaisho died and all, but I am just changing it for the sake of the story, k?)
She stood there mouth open. She shook her head vigorously indicating that she didn't do it because of that and he know knew what had happened anyway. He looked at her and asked her why she didn't talk but all she would do is shrug. He told her that he had heard her singing so he knew she could very well speak and that she sounded pretty nice actually ( pretty good, to be exact... lmao).
What they didn't know is that Naraku had been watching in Kanna's mirror. So Kagome would be getting some dreams tonight, dreams that would tell her his deepest, darkest secret. The only person to actually get to know him and want to mate him had sacraficed herself for him.
He had missed her so much over the years, when he could remember her. He had to ask her what they had done to him to make him forget. He went back to the mirror and watched Aria once more.
Sesshoumaru stood there looking at the girl his father had 'killed', but she stood there plain as day. Yes, she was an angel but she had to be more then just InuYoukai to begin with. He took in her features and had to say that she would have been a good mate and would have produced handsome/beautiful pups.
' Gods, were is this line of thought going? She is an angel and .... wait a minute... does she still love Naraku?' Sesshoumaru thought.
" Aria, Do you still love Naraku, is that another reason why you were sent here, to patch things up?"
Aria stood there, looking at everything but Sesshoumaru. She really didn't wish to break her vow to never talk again, it had gotten her into so much trouble to begin with. That was one of the things that Naraku loved the best was her voice. She did wish to explain to Sesshoumaru but not fully.
' I suppose I can talk to him but then.... oh well, he was caught in this just as well. His father killed me but I also killed him when it really wasn't needed. I just protected the one I love and as to loving Naraku.... well.....'
" No. "
Sesshoumaru stared at the angel that hadn't spoken in 10 years or so. Her voice matched her appearence. She is an angel and her voice is angelic. With one single word she had managed to make him forget everything, made him forget their conversastions and made him forget that he had asked her something.
She touched his shoulder to get his attention but something happened. There was a spark where she had touched him. They both saw it, snapping Sesshoumaru back into his thoughts. He then looked down to his shoulder and noticed that his arm was back where it used to be, but there was also a small burn mark on his clothes the size of a small fingertip. He looked back at Aria and noticed that she was staring at her fingertip in awe, shock and a little horror. To get her off of the subject he knew nothing about he asked her....
" No what?"
" No I wasn't sent here to settle things and as to if I love him or not yes I do, but the thing is, I can never be with him again because he was with me before and when I died. Basically, now that I am back on Earth I am a new person but since I died when I was in Naraku's care I am not to be in it again."
" Oh, so that means that since you died and he was there but lived you can never be with him again and that you do love him just not in the same way as you did before seeing as how you are now a 'different' being?"
" Yes." she said with a small nod.
" You do know that Naraku and Kagome are enemies? They are after the same Jewel."
" Sesshoumaru-sama, they might think they are enemies at the present time but that will shortly change. I do know somethings that will happen but I am forbidden to say anything so please tell no one of what I say. It doesn't matter if what I say now seems unimportant but please tell no one."
" I must go, they come." with that said he left into the night.
As Aria turned she noticed the smell changed. She could still smell Sesshoumaru's sweet and spicy scent but there was something else. She turned a little to the right and caught the magically aura of the mirror Naraku was using to watch her. She noticed that shortly after she spoted it that it disappeared. She started walking to the group that was closing in on her fast, and met them halfway.
" Where were you? Are you okay? Did you sense something?" Kagome asked.
" I am fine Kagome-chan. I only went for a walk into the woods, they are lovely at night and I needed time to think on somethings, thats all."
They were all stunned that she had spoken in front of them and were awed at how beautiful her voice was. They weren't in a trance like Sesshoumaru was, and that is because she had forgotten that her 'angel' voice ( I know itdoesn't silly and all but if you watch the movie Date With An Angel, you will notice that she makes a noise and they all go into a trance lol)did that to humans and demons alike so she had to get used to using her 'Aria' voice. The one that Naraku loved so much.
" You can speak." Miroku said.
" Yes I can, but I vowed not to because it was what got me in trouble in the first place. Kagome you will know of mine and Naraku's past, I am sure sometime soon."
Kagome looked away and then down at her feet, into the trees, up at the stars, the moon, anywhere but at Aria's eyes. She had been shown what had happened by Naraku in a dream and she remembered every bit of it. Aria then said that she knew what had happened and that it was ok for Kagome not to worry. Kagome nodded her head and said thank you.
They started walking back to the hut when Kagome stopped and started glowing, the glow got brighter and the brighter it got the louder Kagome would scream. Aria knew what was happening so she stepped forward and held Kagome's limp form to her body for protection. Kagome started kicking and screaming but Aria would not let go of her charge. Shortly after that Kagome stopped moving and was just panting heavily.
" Thank you." Kagome croaked out, her voice raw from the screaming she had done.
" Hush now. You will need to rest your voice, I didn't expect you to change all in one day but I suppose that is how it is to be." Aria said looking down at the NekoHanyou in her arms.
" Let us go back to the hut and we can settle down for the rest of the night." Aria said putting Kagome down on her own feet.
Kagome did look a little different. She had the same black hair, only longer but it was her eyes that had changed the most. When she looked at you a certain way they would glow like a cat's eyes would. It was a little creepy at times. They made it to the village and settled down inside Kaede's hut.
" Tomorrow, I help you. You were supposed to have a different person to help you through this but they just told me that I will have to be the one helping you through it all if that is alright with you, Kagome-chan?." Aria said to Kagome, and Kagome nodded in agreement.
They all stilled after that and their breathing because steady and strong. They were sleeping peacefully not knowing that a certain danger was about to erupt around them in a little under a week.
Naraku's POV
' She doesn't love me anymore? Well she said she does, just not the same, not like she used too. Well I suppose that is just how it is supposed to be. And then there is Kagome, she got jealous? :Laugh: She got jealous because Aria got my attention and she didn't. Maybe there is hope for her yet, and ohhhh when she transformed into her Hanyou form, she looked....... tastey.'
Naraku got up from his sitting posistion and told Kanna that she could go to her room and go to bed now. He stood at his window, looking off into the distance that he knew the 'miko' was. He would come up with a plan to woo her no matter how long it took or how hard he had to try to win her heart. He knew in his soul that he had to have her, and he knew that Aria would put them together somehow, just as there was something between her and Lord Sesshoumaru.
He walked out of his study, down the dark, dank halls of his palace. He reached his bedchamber after walking for about five minutes. He opened his door and kicked it shut, just as he got in bed and was about to close his eyes, he had a brillant idea.
" Muaaahaaaahahahahahahahahahaaaaaaa hehehe just wait until they find out." he said as he drifted off to blissful sleep.
