Well, back again for another awful chapter. Let me know what you think, please. I am starting to get bored with this one too.. but I will finish my stories damn it! lol.... I can't help the song I put in here.. I love it... and thought that it might kinda fit the story better... I hope by the time the story is done you will understand why I put the song there.... k.. on to the story.

Chapter Six: Change
Aria stood watch over her charge and realized that she had changed, just not that much. Kagome still had the black hair, only longer with small ears protruding from atop her head and black retractable claws. She thought she would have more time to prepare Kagome for 'the change' but as Fates would have it, she changed immediately.
Kagome tossed and turned in her sleep, whimpering as nightmares overtook her subconcious. Aria did the only thing that she knew would help the little miko/neko hanyou. She sang, she sang a song she thought she had forgotten. A song that had somehow soothed her as a child, her mother would sing it to her when she had nightmares, it reminded her of what she now called 'home'.( AKA meaning... Where angels normally reside lol...)
-- She walks to school with the lunch she packed -- Nobody knows what she's holdin' back -- Wearin' the same dress she wore yesterday -- She hides the bruises with linen and lace.
Kagome not yet hearing the song, still whimpered in terror. The terror of her nightmares must be strong.
-- The teacher wonders but she doesn't ask -- It's hard to see the pain behind the mask -- Bearing the burden of a secret storm -- Sometimes she wishes she was never born.
Kagome just picking up the notes of the song, still tossed and turned but the whimpering had stopped.
-- Through the wind and the rain -- She stands hard as a stone -- In a world that she can't rise above -- But her dreams give her wings -- And she flies to a place where she's loved -- Concrete Angel.
As she sang in her Angelic Voice Kagome settled down a bit, Aria continued to sing her song to soothe her charge, noticing now that everyone was listening to her sing and nod off once again.
-- Somebody cries in the middle of the night -- The neighbors hear, but they turn out the lights -- A fragile soul caught in the hands of Fate -- When morning comes it'll be too late
A tear or two slowly escaped her lonely emerald eyes. Kagome had stopped tossing and turning but Aria still wanted to soothe everyone into a nice dreamless sleep, she continued.
-- Through the wind and the rain -- She stands hard as a stone -- In a world that she can't rise above -- But her dreams give her wings -- And she flies to a place where she's loved -- Concrete Angel.
-- A statue stands in a shaded place -- An angel girl with an upturned face -- A name is written on a polished rock -- A broken heart that the world forgot.
-- Through the wind and the rain -- She stands hard as a stone -- In a world that she can't rise above -- But her dreams give her wings -- And she flies to a place where she's loved -- Concrete Angel.
Aria knew Kagome would go through more changes, more changes that involved not only her appearance but her attitude in life as well. She just wished she could stop the heartache the girl would feel. Sighing and looking around the cramped hut she saw that everyone had fallen back to sleep and all had small smiles on their faces. Being content that everything was fine, Aria dozed off into a light slumber.
With Sesshoumaru in his study
' I wonder why she so willingly showed me those things? There was something about her that got passed my barriers....'
Growling, he didn't like where that thought was going. Sesshoumaru not wanting to go into further detail, he stood and moved about his study. Not knowing what to do about his 'problem', he started pacing. Not long after he had started pacing he stoped abruptly, turning he opened his study door and headed down the hallway to a completely different room. A larger room, stacked with books galore, the library.
' I have it! I don't know why I didn't see it before but there is only one solution to my 'problem', and that is... to get rid of it.'
He started searching through his many, many books. Searching for someway to kill a guardian angel. For that was what she was, a guardian angel, sent to protect someone important... but who? ( he wasn't there at the uh... 'trail'... so he doesn't know.) Picking up one book and searching through it with his demon speed, not finding what he wished for he closed the book and threw it behind him, grabing another one of the shelf and doing the same to it. Over and over he did this and still nothing he found told him his answers.
Jaken coming in to check on his Lord and Master, to see if there was anything he needed or wanted, saw his Lord looking frantically through his age old scrolls, getting frusterated and throwing them.
" M.... Master... Lord Sesshoumaru... may I be of some help, M'Lord?" Jaken tumbled over the words for fear of being killed for disturbing his master.
Sesshoumaru stoped his search and glared at the intruder, but then he thought.. yes, Jaken could help.. he wouldn't question me and both of us would go faster.......
" Jaken, get over here! Search for a way to kill an angel! NOW!" He said in his usual ice cold, no emotion manner.
" Yes, M'Lord. At once!" Jaken said bowing low and then hurrying over to search for what his Lord wished.
With Naraku
He shot up from his deep slumber, not totally awake from his dream. Sweating and frusterated he got out of his bed and moved to the open window.
' Damn that wench, she plagues even my dreams. I get no rest from thinking of her. I have to have her and I have to have her now!' Naraku thought darkly. ' The plan will be going into motion sooner then I thought.'
" Kagura, Kanna!" He called for his 'Children'.
" Yes Master Naraku?" They both chimed at once.
" The plan will be set to motion as soon as the light touches the horizon. Be ready to leave at dawn and bring that boy with you."
" Yes, Master Naraku." said Kanna, she had gotten to know Kohaku rather well during his 'stay' there at the palace.
With the Inu group ( eh, should say Kag group now, ne?)
Kagome began to stir and wake. Aria was already awake and alert. Sango and Miroku were already awake and staring at her. She wasn't used to this, people staring, there were tons of angels better looking then she... but yet.. maybe they aren't used to seeing one?
" Is there something you wish to ask me?" she said looking at them.
" I... uh... um.... I.. uh yeah... you are here to do what?" Miroku stuttered... not wanting to ask 'the' question.
" I am here to protect Kagome and help her with the change she has already begun to go through. I will tell you all know.. she might become a bit..... uh..... well there isn't a nice way to say it so I will just say it.... Evil... yes she might start being nasty."
Kagome heard this and started laughing... She couldn't believe her ears. Her?... become nasty and evil..... yeah right.... she sat up all the way and looked into the mossy green eyes of her guardian.
" I don't believe that.. I don't think I will." she said with a slight snarl.
All Aria did was raise a qustioning brow at her comment. Kagome realizing that what she had said didn't come out as right as she figured it sounded in her head.
" Uh, oops. Sorry, that didn't come out like it was suppsed to." Kagome said embarassed.
" Tis fine child, just try to calm ye temper better before ye speak thy mind." Kaede's wise words caught them all off guard, all but Aria that is.
" He is coming for you, Kagome. He will be here shortly." Aria turned and faced Sango. " And he brings something you want, Sango, be prepared for some plan."
Sango nodded and got her boomerang ready, Miroku stood and Kagome looked somewhat happy to hear he was coming for her..... or was he? Just as they were leaving the hut, there came a silky voice.
" Leaving so soon? Why, the sun has only just begun to rise."
" What is it you wish, Naraku?" Aria asked politely.
Naraku stood for a moment, basking in the flow of her heavenly voice. He couldn't help himself, it had always done that to him, before her death and now.. after.
" Aria.... my dear friend.... I am here to take back what is mine or.... we can make a trade?"
" A trade for what, Naraku?" Sango asked.
" Ahh, the demon slayer. It would be you to ask wouldn't it. I do suppose you want your brother back. I want the shards you have for Kohaku!"
" NOOOOO! You can't have them." Miroku spoke out of turn.
" I am the one to answer that question, Monk." Kagome said haughtily.
Their eyes opened wide, they couldn't believe their ears, she had contradicted him! Was she going to give the shards to Naraku. What would happen then?
" Kagome, think on this and do not give them to him. He is evil, has been for well over 50 years." ( by the way... him and Aria were together 10 years before Kikyou.. so it would actually be 60 years, ne?)
" Oh I will Aria... I will.. and I know what I will do.."
" What is your choice, Kagome?" purred Naraku.
" Oh, that one is simple....
