A/N: thanks guys, you reviewing lets me now if you like it so I'm not going to erase it… this chapter took me so long because I was very busy and lately I've been so scared with the events that happened in Virginia lately, I lived there and my family is still there and I wasn't even able to sleep… I was so worried that something might have happened to someone I known, thank god everyone is okay.

Some of you have been having some weird thoughts about my last chapter… yeah, Naraku could be Kagome's father if only he wasn't 2 years old when Kagome was born, I just wanted you to think… how could he kiss her when he was her father?! I don't write stuff that sick! Anyway, Kagome's father will remain a secret till I decide it. Thanks to helloooooo for suggesting to me to change the summary, I'll change it as soon as I think of another one (¬_¬`) anyway, thanks for the reviews and please keep reviewing =)

“You are in big troubles young lady, where have you been?!” her mother asked hysterical and Kagome just sighed, Inuyasha rolled his eyes. The older woman directed her gaze at the stranger. “And who's this?”

 

“Um… this is…”

 

“My name is Inuyasha, Kagome and me were studying at the library till late and I wanted to take her to the movies… I'm sorry if that caused you any problems Miss…”

 

“Higurashi, no of course not…” she smiled and looked back at her daughter. “Would you like to come in?”

 

“Mom, that's not necessary… Inuyasha has something to do now” Kagome interrupted and he smiled.

 

“Actually, I don't have anything else to do… and I bet my parents aren't worried about me, I'd love to come in” her mother smiled pleased and went back to the house, Inuyasha was about to go in when Kagome grabbed him.

 

“What do you think you're doing?” she whispered and he shrugged his shoulders.

 

“I don't know, I just don't want to find Naraku or his bitch at my apartment and I have nothing better to do” he went in and Kagome let out a heavy sigh. “Besides, I'm starving”

 

Kagome followed him in and guided him to her kitchen, Inuyasha sat as he watched her mother prepare a cup of tea. `I know I wanted him to let me be part of his life but this is just too much! My mother now thinks I'm sorta dating him! This is embarrassing…' she thought as she went a little red, Inuyasha smirked and her shade of red went even darker.

Miss Higurashi poured a cup of tea in front of him and placed a plate with cookies for them, Kagome was a little nervous.

 

“I'm glad you joined my daughter back home, if only she told me she was out on a date I wouldn't be so worried” Kagome blushed and Inuyasha shook his head.

 

“I wouldn't consider it a date, I just took her to the movies and we talked for a while about some stuff about school…” he ate a cookie. “You know, you seem oddly familiar… I think I met your husband, what was his name?”

 

Miss Higurashi looked at him a little confused. `I need to know this… if Kagome is who I think she is… she's in great danger and Naraku will make anything to get to her, if only her father was alive…' he thought as he kept a soft smile on his face and waited for Miss Higurashi to answer.

 

“Rui Higurashi, he died a few years ago…” Inuyasha nodded and in his inside sighed relieved. “He was such a great father for Kagome…”

 

“Well, thanks for everything Miss Higurashi… I think I should go home now, see you later Kagome” she smiled and waved at him as he made his way out of her house.

 

Kagome watched her mother clean the kitchen and sighed heavily, the man she encountered before knew so much about her and her family and she wished to know how he knew that and why he knew that. She sighed heavily before grabbing the courage to ask her. `I want to know about my father, mom can't be hiding it from me anymore and I'm big enough like to face the truth' she thought.

 

“Mom… why did my father go away?” she asked and Miss Higurashi smiled sadly.

 

“He had cancer and you know that…” Kagome shook her head.

 

“Not Rui, my other father… my biological father… why did he leave?” Miss Higurashi changed her expression to another one rougher, she seemed to be furious.

 

“Kagome, I don't want you to mention his name again… and don't call him father again because your real father died a few years ago” she sighed heavily.

 

“Mom, I need to know… I'm big and I want to know about him, whether he's dead or…” Miss Higurashi broke a cup and scared Kagome. “Oh! Are you alright?”

 

“Yes, don't worry…” Miss Higurashi replied as she washed the blood away from her cut, she covered her finger with a napkin and kissed her daughter's cheek.

 

“Are you going to tell me about it?” her mother sighed heavily.

 

“Kagome, I know you're big… I can't look at you without remembering that but… your father was someone I don't need to remember and talking about him is a difficult subject, you might be very grown but he's not worth our talk… let's just forget he was ever part of our lives, okay?” Kagome nodded although she didn't agree, her mother smiled. “Now let's go to bed… you have school tomorrow and for this time, I'll forget that you came here late”

Inuyasha walked back to his apartment, he was relieved when he heard her say other name but he was still not convinced. “He left me when I was 5 and… I haven't seen him since then” he remembered Kagome's words. `If I'm correct, that was the same exact time when I first met Naraku and him… when we were just working for him in insignificant stuff and when Naraku and I were friends… 10 years later I would meet Kikyo and that's the first time I ever heard that he had a daughter, Naraku knew about that but he never told me… he told me that our boss wanted to keep it as a secret but I don't know why…' his thoughts were interrupted when he heard someone behind him, he chuckled.

 

“Following me again Kagura? I thought that you already know that I have no interest in you” he said and he heard her laugh.

 

“Believe it or not, I'm not here for you Inuyasha… Naraku sent me” he nodded and turned around to face her.

 

“I knew he would, he wants to kill me for taking the girl away?” she smiled and walked next to him. “Either way, I'm not gonna let him near her… she's not who he think she is, she's not related to…”

 

“So what? Naraku isn't sure and until it's proved that she isn't related to him… he's gonna keep calling her or taking her and guess what, you can't stop him” he smirked.

 

“Try me” she walked near him and looked at him directly.

 

“What does this girl mean to you Inuyasha? Why help her? Let Naraku keep the bitch and stay out of this…” he shook his head. “You fucking idiot! Do you realize that you can get killed for this?!”

 

“I do… but I won't leave the girl, I know what he will do to her if she is who we think she is… he's only going to ruin her, just like…”

 

“Kikyo?” she finished for her and he nodded as he let out a very heavy sigh. “You have to forget about her, she's about to fall in the same pit of darkness you rescued her from… that stupid whore doesn't know when…” Inuyasha grabbed her by the throat and she dug her nails on his hand to make him let go.

 

“Don't mess with Kikyo, Kagura…” he said and threw her, he walked away as she tried to catch her breath. “You can tell that fucker that if he wants to kill me, he can come here and do it by himself and about his money…” he threw her what he collected earlier that night. “Tell him that's all I got tonight, his part”

 

Kagura watched him leave as she gathered the money and breathed in and out normally, she got up once she thought she was okay. `Naraku is not going to like this… the last thing he needs is Inuyasha getting in his way' she thought as she went back to her dear boss. She entered to his VIP room at his very popular club, she saw him wiping some blood from his lip. He smiled when he saw her.

 

“You didn't kill him, did you?” she shook her head and threw his money on his table.

 

“He sends you this… what he earned tonight” he piled up the money and sat down as he started counting it.

 

“And what about the other subject? Did you give him a warning about what would happen to him if he keeps messing with the girl?” she nodded and sighed.

 

“Yeah and guess what? He isn't afraid… he said he doesn't give a shit about your threats… I guess that your little Inu grew some balls this year, much bigger than the ones he had before and much, much bigger than yours” he gave her a mocking smirk and she smiled.

 

“That man doesn't even have the courage to come here and claim the girl he loves or he once loved… he doesn't care about Kikyo anymore…”

 

“Au contraire mon frère, I was insulting Kikyo when he came to her rescue… I guess that he can't still forget that he chose you over him and worst of all, that it's his fault that she is in all this stuff…”

Friday night finally arrived and Kagome was very happy, Kouga had informed her that they would be going out with her best friend and with her boyfriend. Kagome had been spending all the time she used to be with Sango alone, she was now more into her boyfriend than her friend and Kagome was feeling happy for her best friend but very lonely in her inside. `Sango and I have been friends ever since we changed to that high school, we both got that scholarship and we used to spend some much time together… now it seems like our friendship has fallen apart for her new interests, but I'm still glad for her… I just wish she didn't change that much' she thought as she brushed her hair, a knock on the door woke her up and she dropped the brush before answering it.

 

“Sis, your date is here” her little brother said and she smiled.

 

“Thanks Souta…” she kissed his cheek and closed the door of her bedroom as she went out. “Tell mom I'll be home by midnight or if I'm not I'll call her”

 

“Alright, have fun” she ran downstairs and found Kouga waiting for her at the door, she greeted him with a small peck on the cheek and they walked out.

 

“You look very beautiful tonight” she blushed lightly.

 

“Thanks a lot… so where are we going?” he opened the car door for her, which made her smile and went to his seat.

 

“What did you say babe?” he asked as he drove out of her porch.

 

“I just wanted to know where we are going… if you don't mind of course” he smiled and she felt embarrassed. `Why didn't I just tell him to tell me where we are going? It's not like I'm with that man… is not supposed to be a big secret our date, or is it?' she asked herself.

 

“We are going to a restaurant, Sango wanted to celebrate her 2 week anniversary with Miroku” Kagome nodded, she remembered why she didn't spend that much time with her friend, her boyfriend flirted with her one night. “I can't believe how she can handle him…”

 

“What do you mean?” she asked confused, he parked the car and they walked inside the restaurant.

 

“Don't tell Sango a thing but… Miroku isn't what he looks like, he likes to have more than one girl” he whispered on her ear as they went to the table where Sango and Miroku were waiting for them.

 

“Kags! I'm so happy you're here!” she kissed her cheek and Kagome hugged her.

 

“Happy anniversary” she said and Sango squealed in joy.

 

“Oh thank you! That is so sweet!” Kagome was trapped in Sango's hard but loving embrace. “I'm glad Kouga gave you a second chance” Sango whispered on her ear and Kagome felt uncomfortable but held a smile on her face.

 

“Look who's here, the second most beautiful woman on the school” Kagome smiled lightly at the compliment made by her friend's boyfriend and kissed his cheek softly, she and her date took a seat and read their menus in silence.

 

`Now I remembered the reason I don't spend that much time with Sango like before…her boyfriend asked me out and I've been trying to remain far away from him because I'm afraid I can damage her relationship, I don't want that to happen to her… this is the first time I see her so in love' she thought and fell a hand on her knee, she looked at Kouga and he smiled.

 

“Relax babe...” he said and she let out a nervous giggle.

 

“I'm sorry… I was thinking about something else” she said as she flashed him a smile. “By the way, Sango… isn't this your uncle's restaurant”

 

“Yeah, I picked this place especially since I have always loved this restaurant… don't you agree honey?” she asked and her boyfriend nodded stupidly.

 

“Ah ha… it's perfect” he said as he looked around the place.

 

After a nice a perfect dinner for Miroku and Sango, Kagome and Kouga talked about some of their favorite's hobbies, she told him how much she liked stuff like math and physics and he told her how much he hated them. Kagome realized that they weren't into the same things, but of course she knew that opposites attract; she had learn that in chemistry. Kouga suggested them to go for a walk at the park and Sango thought it would be perfect; she thought that it was the best way to end her perfect anniversary. Miroku and Sango walked in front of them while they were grabbing hands and Kagome and Kouga were walking slowly as she looked around the place.

 

“It's such a beautiful night, don't you think babe?” she nodded and looked at him.

 

“Although I enjoy more daylight, I've been having some bad experiences during night time that make me wish it was always clear” he let out a chuckle.

 

“Were they that bad?” she nodded and he laughed softly again. “I always thought that night was better, it's more romantic…”

 

“I really don't like that much that kind of stuff, romantic things make me… I don't know, I just feel weird with things like that… roses, chocolates, I love you notes… why send them when you can tell that special person how much you love him or her with just words? I think that people just use that as an excuse to waste money and to save their saliva, they get credit with someone else's nice touch and they think that they are more in love by getting meaningless material” he looked at her amazed and she laughed. “I'm sorry, I got too focused in my thoughts… if often happens”

 

“Don't worry; I guess you are right…” he stopped her and looked at her directly in the eyes. “But there are other ways of showing love… and then you know when you are more in love than ever…”

 

“Like what?” she asked lowly and he smirked as he placed his hands around her hips.

 

“Like kissing…” he replied, he was about to kiss her and she wasn't stopping her when she heard a very familiar voice.

 

“Kagome?” Inuyasha asked and Kagome pulled away from Kouga's embrace.

 

“What are you doing here? I didn't see you before” she said as she smiled a little embarrassed.

 

“I was just walking back home, you seem to be busy so… I'll just leave”

 

“No” she stopped him by grabbing his arm. “I was about to go back home, would you mind joining me? I know it's far from your place, well actually I don't know since I don't know where you live and I don't know if it's far or near or…” he placed a finger on her mouth.

 

“I got it but… what about him?” he whispered softly on her ear and Kagome looked back at Kouga who gave her a fake smile to hide his anger.

 

“Oh…” she walked next to him. “Um… Kouga, you don't mind if I go with Inuyasha right? We can go out another time and… you don't mind, do you?” he shook his head slowly.

 

“No, go ahead… I'll see you tomorrow at school, okay babe?” she kissed his cheek and nodded.

 

“Thanks a lot, bye” he saw her leave helplessly and sighed heavily. He heard some footsteps and saw Sango next to him.

 

“She left you? Oh my God… I'm so going to kill her! How dare her do something like that?!” she nearly yelled and Kouga smiled sadly.

 

“Don't mind it… I might have been her friend, I don't care… I'll just go home” she stopped him.

 

“Are you sure? Because I can find out who that is and… you know ask her if she likes him or something…” he nodded.

 

“Yeah… I will like to know that” she nodded and kissed his cheek. “Alright, see you later…”

 

“Sure” he sighed heavily before he left.

 

“Was that one of her friends?” Miroku asked and Sango shook her head.

 

“No, I'm the only friend Kagome has… I don't know who he is but I'm going to find out no matter what it takes” she said as she stared at her friend with some slight jealousy.
