“So… what were you doing with Kouga?” Inuyasha finally dared to ask once they were out of the park, she looked at him.

 

“He asked me out, we just went for dinner with my best friend and her boyfriend who are celebrating their 2nd week anniversary” he nodded. “Do you think he recognized you? I mean… you work at his father mechanic”

 

“And what if he did? It's not like he's going to fire me for being with you… and I wouldn't care either, I just work in that because I wasn't able to get a better job” she looked at him a little sad. “What?”

 

“Have you ever though about going back to college?” she asked and he chuckled.

 

“Yeah right! I was never good in school… why waste more years and money in college?”

 

“How long where you in high school or school?” she asked curiously.

 

“I graduated high school and realized that it was a waste of time… I started working once I was out of that hell hole, I just went there because my godfather wanted me… he paid me a very good school” she nodded. “But… I just start losing interest in that thing… I definitely don't like to study”

 

“Do you like to read?” she asked and he shrugged his shoulders. “Alright, let's change that… how often do you read?”

 

“Does playboy count?” she blushed and looked away as she shook her head. “No, I don't… why these sudden questions?”

 

“I don't know… I felt curious…” she answered.

 

A long silence started as they walked back home, Kagome never knew what to ask him or talk to him about. It was hard for her to have a friend who didn't have the same interests or age like her. `I want to know him better but at the same time I don't want to look like a very nosy person… I would like to ask him about that man… Naraku, what do they share? Is he his brother or a friend or what? And his ex girlfriend… why was she at that man's apartment or what did he mean to him? Why am I so worried about his ex girlfriend? It's not like I like Inuyasha… he's a good friend and very kind and nice when he wants to' she thought and she noticed that they were already at her house.

 

“Thanks for joining me home… although I didn't expect to find you in my way” she giggled nervously and he rolled his eyes. “Um… can I have your number? I just want to call you like maybe if I have a problem or something”

 

“Yeah, sure” he took her cell phone and wrote it. “There it is, don't call me unless is an emergency or if you really… need to see me”

 

“Of course…” she said as she blushed. “You know? Tomorrow there is this small fair at my school and there will games and…”

 

“You have a second to convince me” he interrupted her.

 

“I would really like you to go because I'll be alone since my friend is going to spend the whole day with her boyfriend… so yes?” she asked and he thought about it for a few seconds and sighed defeated.

 

“Why not?” she hugged him and squealed delighted.

 

“Thanks! See you tomorrow, come over here first” she said and kissed his cheek before going into her house.

Kagome heard her alarm clock between her dreams and made her wake up, she lazily walk to the bathroom and washed her face. She looked at herself at the mirror and went back to her room. She didn't sleep that well last night, she was too nervous about going with Inuyasha. `I still can't understand why I'm feeling like this… it's not like we are going out on a date or something but I still feel like butterflies are flying around my stomach…' she thought as she rubbed her belly lightly and searched for her perfect outfit in her closet. Kagome grabbed a very light brown skirt that was 4 inches above her knee; she got a clear green tank top and went to the bathroom to brush her hair. She grabbed her hair into 2 pigtails and she when she saw herself at the mirror, she laughed.

 

“I look like I'm 7” she said to no one in particular and kept on giggling, she decided to let her hair down and went downstairs, she was going to the kitchen when she heard the doorbell. When she opened it she saw Inuyasha. “Hey… I was about to have breakfast”

 

“I'm sorry… I'll wait for you outside” she shook her head and giggled a little.

 

“Don't be silly Inuyasha, join me for breakfast… my mother is probably gone and my grandpa and my brother are at his soccer practice” she told him as she pulled him into the kitchen with her. “What would you like to eat?”

 

“I don't want anything, just prepare whatever you feel like” she sighed heavily as she went over to the cupboard and grabbed flour.

 

Inuyasha watched as she made waffles, she managed to keep herself clean and her outfit. Once the waffles were done, Kagome served them in two plates. She placed one of them in front of Inuyasha and then gave him a fork. She got maple syrup before sitting next to him and he looked at her confused.

 

“I told you I didn't want to eat” he said again and she nodded.

 

“I know, but I don't like to eat alone and I don't eat that much either… I just want you to help me, would you?” she asked and he rolled his eyes before grabbing his first bite. “How are they?”

 

“Like any other waffles” he replied as he put on some maple syrup, she sighed like before and finished the rest of her breakfast.

Inuyasha entered to Kagome's private school with a weird sensation; somehow he found the place very familiar although he knew he had never been there before. Kagome grabbed his hand as she pulled him in the fair; the place was too good to be true. It looked like a real festival; it had a small roller coaster, bumper cars, an enterprise, teacups, tilt a whirl between some other prize games. Kagome stopped in front of an archery game; she looked at it for a second.

 

“Wow, the first prize is a teddy bear… I would love to win that” she said as she pulled out her money.

 

She grabbed the arrow and the arc and pointed at the center of the aiming circle, when she threw the arrow, it missed and it almost hit the guy in charge of the game. Kagome smiled embarrassed and Inuyasha laughed. She looked at him a little furious and grabbed the second arrow, she hit it straight and his laughter died as the man gave her the teddy bear.

 

“That was a stupid game, I could have won that immediately” he said as they walked around the school.

 

“Don't you ever admit defeat?” he shook his head and she laughed softly. “You're so stubborn and cocky”

 

“And you are a spoiled princess” he replied and she laughed again.

 

“You want to go to the roller coaster?”

 

“Yeah, whatever” he sighed as he was pulled over there by her.

 

Kagome and Inuyasha started making the line, he had never been in a roller coaster before but to him it didn't seem like a big deal. She was still acting a little nervous, after thinking about it over and over in her head; she knew that it was a date. `I asked him to come here, he could have said no so… now we are going out, oh my god! I'm going out with him!' She mentally panicked and felt someone touch her shoulder lightly. She saw Kouga behind her.

 

“Hey Kouga…” she said as he game him a smile.

 

“Hi, so… you came with… him” he said as he looked at Inuyasha, he did his best to ignore him. “I assume that he's your boyfriend, right?”

 

“No” Inuyasha said before Kagome could mention something.

 

“He's a very good friend of mine and I wanted him to join me today… I want to tell you that I feel kinda bad for leaving you alone last night”

 

“Don't mind it, its okay… I think I'll leave you two alone” he walked away as Kagome stared at him curiously. `Did Kouga recognize Inuyasha? No, if he did he should have said something… but why did he leave all of the sudden? If Kouga really likes me then he must have left because he is jealous…' she thought and bit her bottom lip gently.

 

After the ride, Kagome came out there shaky while Inuyasha felt better than ever. So much adrenaline made his blood boil and make him want to live more of those experiences, it reminded him when he used to race for his old boss in street car races. He was pulled once again by Kagome but this time she pulled him to some sort of a food court. They sat and Kagome left next to her the new teddy bear she just won.

 

“Are you hungry?” she asked and he just shook his head. “Then maybe we can go to other rides… would you like that?”

 

“No, I think I'll leave” she looked at him worried.

 

“Don't… I don't want to be alone; would you please stay with me?” she hissed and he rolled his eyes.

 

“You can stay here with Kouga” she shook her head. “That way you won't be alone”

 

“No, it's just that… I want you to be with me” he felt his cheeks a little hot and she smiled. “I like to be with you Inuyasha”

 

Inuyasha was moving closer to her, she blushed furiously but then immediately felt someone sitting next to her. She look at who interrupted her moment and it was no one else than her best friend and her boyfriend.

 

“Hey Kags… I thought you weren't coming… I thought you would be studying today” she said as she ate some sugar candy, she looked at Inuyasha curiously.

 

“I left that for tomorrow” she smiled a little embarrassed.

 

“You're such a bookworm, I hate when you do that… sometimes you are so fun but there are others when you are the most boring person in the world… anyway! Who's your friend?” Sango asked as she bit her bottom lip.

 

“Oh, this is my friend Inuyasha… Inuyasha this is Sango my best friend” she kissed his cheek.

 

“So you are the girl who dumped her friend for her boyfriend, pretty nice friendship you share with this girl” he said and walked away that place annoyed, Kagome felt embarrassed and was about to follow her when she felt her best friend's hand around her arm.

 

“What was that?” she asked and Kagome sighed.

 

“Look, I'll tell you everything about this but now I want to go” she said as she left hurriedly.

 

“What the hell has she been telling everyone?” Sango yelled annoyed.

 

“I'm not trying to take her side or something but… its true hun, when we just started dating you told me everything you did with her but now it's like you have erased her from your memories, what's up with that?” she let out a frustrated sigh.

 

“Kagome has been acting so weird lately… since that day of the party, I think something happened after she left because if not she would be Kouga's girlfriend…” he nodded. “That guy… he's the one who has been making the changes here”

 

“And what are you going to do?” she smiled a little.

 

“I'm going to find out what he means to her… but instead of asking her, I'm gonna ask him…” he looked at her worried.

 

“You're not going to flirt with him, right?” she shook her head.

 

“Unless it's necessary”

Inuyasha walked out the school, he was so frustrated about the things that girl said. Who did she think she was? `And Kagome thinks she's her friend… after all the horrible things she said before, how can she still call her like that?' he thought and pulled out a cigarette. He was about to light it up when he heard Kagome calling him from behind. He stopped when he dropped the lighter and she was able to catch him.

 

“Why did you leave?” she asked somehow worried.

 

“Because of the stupid things that girl said…” she sighed and closed her eyes for a while before speaking again.

 

“You shouldn't have told her that”

 

“Why not? Don't you rich girls like to face the truth?” Kagome sighed and he rolled his eyes. “She had no reason to say something like that… if she was really your friend she would have never mention that”

 

“She has never been like that but… I guess that if she wants to say she can express herself” he became even more frustrated.

 

“See? That's your problem… you let anyone go over you and you don't care, I was about to steal you and you still were there curled up and watching me scared… what if I wanted to kill you? Would you have let me do it?” he asked and she stared at him for a while.

 

“You were planning to kill me?” he shook his head.

 

“No, never mind… don't ever let someone think it's better than you Kagome, that was my mistake and I lost everything for that” he said as he picked up his lighter.

 

“What did Naraku do?” she asked curiously and he let out some smoke before speaking.

 

“It wasn't him… it was Kikyo” Kagome watched him frozen; she would have expected that from the horrible man that kidnapped her but not from his ex girlfriend. She was about to ask him what did she do when his cell phone rang, he picked up. “Hello?”

 

“Inuyasha, great news… you're going out of town” he heard Naraku's voice and stepped on his cigarette.

 

“Oh yeah? What for?”

 

“You're going meet someone over there, someone who says that knows someone who can help us get rid of the band of seven” he arched his brow at the new information.

 

“And who is he?”

 

“It's a she… you'll meet her once you're there, your flight leaves tomorrow at 16 come at 13 to pick up your passport and your flight ticket” he heard the dial tone after that and Inuyasha placed his cell phone back to his jacket.

 

“What did he say?” she asked as he sighed.

 

“Nothing, I'm leaving to…” he decided that maybe he shouldn't tell her where he was going the next day. “I'm taking you home, I have to go”

 

“No, you were about to say something else… whatever it was, I want you to tell me” he sighed heavily.

 

“There's no need for me to tell you this” she rolled her eyes.

 

“Yeah, I know but… I want to know, just in case” he sighed again and she pushed him a little. “I'll be worried if you don't”

 

“I'm going out of town for a while… don't go over to Naraku's or anything, if they try something call the police, okay?” she nodded and he grabbed her hand. “Now it's time for me to take you home” she nodded lightly as Inuyasha pulled her back home.

“I still don't understand what you're trying to do by sending him out of town” Kagura said as she watched at her brother walk around his office.

 

“It's pretty simple, I send Inuyasha away and then I'll blame it all on him… what can you don't understand?” she shook her head and directed her gaze to the door when she heard it opening, she saw her brother's atrocious girlfriend.

 

“Hey hun, hey Kagura… did you fix already what you're going to do about Yura?” he nodded.

 

“She's coming back town and guess what? I already found a way to get rid of the band of seven” she looked at him amazed and then giggled. “What's so funny?”

 

“You think that just because you send a killer to them, they will die immediately and leave you their territory?” he shook his head and this time he laughed.

 

“You misunderstood my love, I'll bring Kagura because she knows a man who used to be part of that and now can help us…” she arched her brow.

 

“Oh really? And who is this mysterious man?” he got a Cuban cigar and got it on his mouth.

 

“Houshi, Miroku Houshi” he smirked and lighted up his cigar.
