It was a cold day, for the last two days it hadn't stop raining. Everyone in town carried an umbrella with them and never dared to walk out their houses without a raincoat. Ever since Sango took him to the hospital he hadn't seen her. She didn't answer his phone calls too. Miroku had given up hope once he saw Sango walking around town with another guy. He was so worried about her that he started to follow her and that's when he saw her with someone else. He was very curious about the bastard who dared make a move while he was still recovering at the hospital. His anger was as great as his bruises and his hate towards that man was as harsh as the grudge he held against Sango. Miroku heard a small timid knock on his door so he got off of his couch slowly and went towards his window. He was in no hurry; after all, the person he wanted to see most would never come knocking on his door again. He looked through the window to see who was there. He was surprised to find her outside but without a second thought he ran towards the door. He barely opened the door, just enough for her to look at his face and for him to look at her. The silence that elapsed was stifling before Miroku dared to speak.
“What are you doing here?” he hissed.
“I came to visit you, I went to the hospital yesterday… and they told me you left a few days ago.” Sango replied ashamed. “I never called because I didn't remember your number and after I broke up with you I erased your number from my phone and I had no idea it was you calling.”
“You could have come but you were too busy fucking that guy, weren't you?” he asked bitterly and Sango looked at him confused.
“What are you talking about?” he closed his eyes furiously and let out an annoyed sigh.
“Don't play dumb with me Sango, I know you are dating someone else… don't tell me lies now.” She shook her head slowly and looked at him disappointed.
“Miroku, I haven't seen anyone in days. The only person I recall seeing lately was my cousin and if you are jealous about him you should at least had the decency to ask me who he was.” He chuckled of the situation. Her cousin was with her and he was mad at her about nothing.
“I'm sorry, okay? I was just…” he sighed heavily, trying to push out all those feelings of resentment towards him. “I don't want to be without you again, I love you too much to let anyone else be with you.”
“Would you marry me?” she asked suddenly without giving it a second thought, Miroku looked at her dazed and she smiled. “I was kidding… really; it's just that your speech sounded as a marriage proposal.”
“So… are we cool now?” she nodded and Miroku smiled before kissing her cheek.
“I don't know… what does `cool' mean to you?” she asked intrigued and he sighed, Miroku lazily leaned against his door.
“Like… are we, friends or… something better, are we a couple?” he felt stupid asking it but the smile on Sango's face made him feel better.
“I guess. Do you still want to be with me?” she inquired lowly, as if she was trying to keep it as a secret.
“I do… because I love you and I want to be with you whenever you're in danger, you're mine Sango.” She felt her heart melt for a millisecond before she cleared her throat and acted normal.
“Well, I think we just got back together.” He smiled softly and caressed the side of her cheek.
“Alright, I got somewhere to go… I'll call you later.” Sango nodded and saw Miroku leave his house; she sat at his sidewalk and sighed.
`I can't keep lying to him… he must know, I must tell him I'm pregnant.' She thought as she watched him walk away further. `What difference would it make if he knows? I should get rid of this child…he will never know and it would be as if it never existed, besides if I dare to tell my parents they will kill me… their first child and she destroyed her life before it even started.' She looked down at her stomach, their child was growing bigger and if she didn't decide what to do soon, it might be a little too late for everyone. `I just wish I was more conscious about my actions.' Sango let out a tear roll down her cheek. She cleaned it before standing up and going back to her house.

Inuyasha walked down the street in the rain feeling the soothing drops fall over his face and body. He looked at his hand as he walked with no certain destination in mind. There was a bandage covering his hand due to the hole Mukotsu had made with one of his daggers. Inuyasha impatiently touched his pockets, hoping to find a stick of cigarette but he had no luck. He looked up at the sky for a moment. Everyday was getting darker. One day the sky would be gray and the next it would be black. Inuyasha sighed before pulling out his cell phone and checking what time it was, it was barely 15 and he was supposed to pick Kagome at 15:30 from her school. He cursed the time for going by so slowly. For the first time in years, he felt a shiver go through his back and went inside a bar. It was one of the few places he could afford. It was filled with tough guys and easy, trampy girls. The counters were dirty and filled with left over cigarettes and broken alcohol bottles. He sat at the greasy bar and waited for the bartender to appear so he could ask for a beer.
“Well… look who's here, the love of my life.” He heard her say, Inuyasha sighed heavily.
“Kikyo.” he mumbled and she smiled before kissing his cheek sweetly.
“Darling, have I told you how much I miss you? Naraku is driving me crazy.” he rolled his eyes annoyed as Kikyo left a trail of kisses on his neck.
“I bet you will be able to forget everything once he gives you your drugs or even better, your whore money.” Inuyasha pushed her harshly away from him resulting in her amused laugh.
“Have you considered it?” she asked maneuvering the conversation away from the topic that was so hard to talk about with Inuyasha. Her relationship with Naraku.
“You mean your proposal about running away like a coward and taking me with you because you don't want to be with your piggy bank aka Naraku when the band of seven attacks?” Inuyasha asked but she remained silent, he shook his head lightly. “I won't do it. If I do something… it will be for… me.”
“Better say Kagome.” he looked at her confused and it was her turn to roll eyes. “I don't know what you see in that girl but it's obvious she's more than just Shinta's daughter to you, you want to be with her forever.”
“So what if I do? Do you have a problem with that?” she shook her head vaguely.
“No, but I can't forget you Inuyasha…and I don't want to see you hurt anymore, no more cuts.” She touched lightly his injured cheek, he made a hissing noise. “No more deep wounds.” She grabbed his hand and his closed his eyes in pain. “No more… hurting you. I care about you, I care about you sincerely and I do want to go with you because it's true, I'll be with you forever if only you will give me the chance.”
“Fine.” he whispered, Kikyo was surprised but remained emotionless as always.
“Really? Do you really mean it?” Kikyo asked completely taken off guard.
“The real question should be… are you serious about this Kikyo? Aren't you going to push me away like last time?” she shook her head lightly and then pushed her face closer to his.
“I love you Inuyasha, I want to be with you forever.” she gave him a passionate kiss, Inuyasha lifelessly pulled apart and she smiled. “Meet me in two days at the airport; I'll take Naraku's private jet… I know how to operate it. We'll fly away to another country and start a new life. Don't leave me waiting.”
“I swear… I won't.” He whispered before turning around and looking at the window, the rain was pouring as a cascade and he grabbed an umbrella before walking out the place.

“What's your boyfriend like, Kagome?” Ayame asked once they were sitting at a fast food restaurant, the bright yellow and orange colors were everywhere and a few employees picking up garbage.
“Yeah, I saw him once and I didn't even get the chance to meet him.” Kouga agreed as he munched a French fry. He had invited Kagome to join him and his girlfriend to eat something after school. Kagome had been alone the whole day because she hadn't find Sango so she gladly accepted.
“Well, he and I met after he tried to… kiss me, I found him the next day at this place and I talked to him and we then started to see each other occasionally but not because we wanted to… it was weird, wherever I went I would find him there and he being the stubborn guy he is most of the times ignored me and pretended to be cool.” Ayame smiled and let out a few giggles.
“Sounds like destiny.” Her boyfriend laughed.
“No babe, there's no such thing as destiny… it was more like a stalker or maybe pure coincidence.” Ayame rolled her eyes and Kagome sighed dreamily.
“I do believe in destiny and I do think it was like that, destiny laid out a trap and we fell directly in it. Anyway, one day I thought he did something terrible but it turned out that someone else did it… I kissed him and he forgave me for not trusting him and I guess that's our story.” Kagome half lied, if she told them the truth there was a slight possibility they would look at Inuyasha with despise.
“That's so sweet! I danced with Kouga at a party and then he asked me to be his girlfriend… no romance for me.” Ayame said and drank some of her soda, Kagome smiled softly.
“Thanks for everything guys but now I have to go meet my boyfriend. I'll call you, okay Ayame?” she nodded gladly.
“Of course, bye Kagome” Ayame said and Kouga waved at her as she walked out.
The first thing she did before going out of the restaurant was pull out her umbrella. She lightly touched her cheek as she felt the water splashing under her feet. That morning, she had forgotten to put her foundation on and her mother had discovered the wound. Kaoru had freaked out but Kagome assured her that she had been clumsy while cutting a piece of paper with her scissors last night and felt sleepy so the scissors incrusted her face, her mother got some Neosporin and let her go after telling her not to do something like that again. After walking for five blocks, she finally reached her boyfriend's apartment. Kagome sighed heavily when she saw the place again, at night it didn't look as terrible as Inuyasha told her but she realized how horrible it was. The building was barely standing and the walls were lacking paint. There were broken windows along with trash around it surrounding the weak structure. She confidently walked straight up to his floor and knocked on his door.
“What… are you doing here?” he asked surprised, Kagome smiled before kissing his cheek sweetly.
“I came to visit you, I didn't want to wait too long to see you again… was that wrong?” she asked concerned, Inuyasha shook his head as he let her inside his apartment.
“No, you just caught me by surprise…I'm very happy to see you.” Kagome tried to kiss him but he stopped her and guided her to sit on his bed, Inuyasha sat right next to her. “I think we need to talk.”
“I don't like those words.” She hissed low enough to keep it for herself. “About what?”
“I love you Kagome, I love you very much… and there's nothing more in the world that I would love more than to be with you forever but…” a knock on the door interrupted him, Inuyasha sighed annoyed and stood up. “What?”
“I need your answer.” His older brother's voice replied outside and he panicked, he turned back and looked at Kagome.
“I'll be right back, okay?” she nodded unsure.
Inuyasha walked out of his apartment and lightly closed the door behind him, Sesshomaru took a short look around his environment, he let out a mocking chuckle and turned his eyes back to Inuyasha.
“So?” he asked vapidly.
“I'm still thinking about it.” Inuyasha hissed looking around the other apartments.
“I don't have that much time, the FBI wants to get into my case and if I don't find a solution soon they'll take this case away from me.” Inuyasha lazily ran his fingers through his silver hair.
“How much time do I have?” Sesshomaru sighed uninterested.
“I'll give you two days, you better think well about this… when you tell her this in a few minutes, she might not be happy about the wrong decision you will make…be sure you know what's best.”
Sesshomaru winked at him before walking towards the staircase to get out of the building. Inuyasha stared at his brother until he was out of sight, he sighed heavily before going back to his apartment. He saw Kagome watching out the window, Inuyasha cleared his throat to alert her of his presence and she immediately turned around. Kagome sat back on his bed and he did the same.
“Who was it?” she asked concerned and Inuyasha shook his head.
“Nobody important.” He replied calmly.
“Do you believe in destiny?” Kagome asked and he looked at her confused.
“Destiny?” he echoed and Kagome nodded.
“I was out with some friends today, I was talking about various things… and then we came to a topic which included destiny, according to one of my friends there's no such thing as destiny… but I do believe it exists, I think it's too much of a coincidence I meet you and fell in love with you.” Inuyasha smiled sadly and held her between her arms. “What's wrong?”
“Nothing, I just wanted to hug you for a while.” He never told her, but that day a single tear rolled down his cheek and it was the first one he ever dropped for a girl in his entire life.
“So… what did you want to tell me?” she asked as she lightly pulled away from him, Inuyasha sighed.
“That I love you… and that I can't wait for the day in which we can be together in peace, no kidnapping, no stealing and especially not hurting you.” Kagome smiled and kissed his lips lightly. “As to your question a few minutes ago, I do believe in destiny… and I believe you are my destiny.”
Kagome then offered him to go out and eat something, Inuyasha accepted and as they made their way to the restaurant his mind kept on questioning him about the most important decision in his life. `If you go to Kikyo, you know she's going to betray you and you will never see Kagome again, never. If you go to Sesshomaru he might end up betraying you too and things will get ugly. But I can trust my half brother more because he is with Kagura and when Kagura says something, she will accomplish it but with Kikyo…I just don't know if to trust my own senses or my heart, after all… my heart still beats for her.' Inuyasha let out a heavy sigh before grabbing Kagome's hand and trying to disperse his thoughts.
