“Have you given it good thought?” Sesshomaru asked Inuyasha.

His older half brother had infiltrated his apartment and when Inuyasha got home the first thing he saw was Sesshomaru on his bed. Inuyasha went home after dropping Kagome at her house, she was still very furious with him and he knew she had cried the whole way there. It was obvious since no matter how much she tried not to sob, a few choking sounds escaped her throat. Inuyasha went back to the hospital for a few more hours, he asked Miroku what he was going to do and his friend told him that he would find a way to eliminate Sango's name from the hospital records, after all, being the hacker genius he was that would be a piece of cake. That was when Inuyasha had gotten back home and found the lock on his door broken. He carefully entered and saw Sesshomaru entertaining himself with a rubber ball, throwing it against the ceiling and catching it during its rapid decent.

“Yes and…I think I'll join you.” Sesshomaru smiled, obviously pleased with his half brother's decision.

“That's perfect, we will start tomorrow morning.” Inuyasha shook his head. “Now you regret your decision?”

“No, it's just that…tomorrow Naraku won't be there, he's going somewhere with Kikyo. Tomorrow night is a better time.” Sesshomaru arched his brow and pulled out his cell phone.

“I'll ask Kagura if your information is correct.” Inuyasha mentally cursed himself as he looked attentively at his brother.

“Kagura, Inuyasha told me Naraku won't be able tomorrow morning for our plan… is that right?” A small silence elapsed before Sesshomaru let out an annoyed sigh. “Alright, that's all.” He hung up and turned his attention to Inuyasha. “You're a lucky bastard because your lie turned out to be true.”

“How did you know I was lying?” Sesshomaru laughed at him.

“I'm a cop; I was trained to dig up the real information from the mouths of thousands of imbeciles low-lives like you.” Inuyasha rolled his eyes and heard Sesshomaru chuckle. “I'll see you tomorrow morning, 7 am be awake because I'll be here by that hour.”

Sesshomaru slammed the door on his way out making some chunks of the old paint on the walls fall down around the shocked man. Inuyasha threw himself over his rock hard bed, folding his arms behind his exhausted head and closing his eyes slowly. He snapped them opened when he heard something hit the floor, it was his cell phone and he looked at it attentively. Inuyasha rubbed his eyes softly as he answered the call.

“Hello?” he asked as he yawned and looked at the hour, it was already 4 am.

“I'm sorry about tonight; I guess I was just angry.” Inuyasha heard Kagome's sweet voice.

“Why are you apologizing?” He asked a bit confused and heard Kagome sigh.

“Because I was acting jealous about things that aren't even happening but…your conversation with Kikyo did disturb me and I was hoping you could forgive me.”

Inuyasha felt terrible inside, he made his girlfriend apologize for something he did. If that wasn't enough, he knew Kagome felt completely miserable, which made him feel like crap. Inuyasha couldn't screw it up now. No. Not now that he was so close to getting away from Naraku and if that meant lying to Kagome and behaving like a jerk he would do it. Kagome meant everything to him and he knew she would forgive him once everything was over. `It's just for a few more hours, by tomorrow night everything will be over and Kagome will never hear from gangs or get kidnapped again. I have to keep on with this…'

“Hello? Inuyasha? Are you there?” Kagome's voice knocked him out of thoughts; Inuyasha shook his head lightly before answering her.

“Yeah, I'm sorry I'm just…a bit tired…it's been a crazy night you know.” Kagome sighed heavily.

“I know what you mean… I love you Inuyasha, I'll see you tomorrow.” Inuyasha smiled softly and closed his eyes for a second, imagining her right next to him.

“You know what? I've been very busy and I don't think I can meet you so I think I'll call you. If I have time I'll pick you up from school but, if I don't we'll see each other in a few days, I'll try to call you… I love you Kagome, sweet dreams.” He hung up and closed his eyelids and fell straight to sleep.

Naraku was out of the country. He had managed a miraculous escape before Bankotsu could kill him. He had wounds everywhere, bullets had entered his arms and legs; swords had trespassed his flesh and liters of blood had fled his body. Naraku made his great escape when he saw Inuyasha getting out of the building. Miroku was helping him and the two of them managed to get safe out of that horrible rampage. Naraku followed their example but without someone to help him he had to do both parts, defending himself in front as well as behind. Now he was away from everything he once called home, he knew Bankotsu could not attack when he was outside the territory and worse if he wasn't in the country. He had rented a room in a motel and there he had been all night tending to his own injuries. It was already morning, 7 am to be exact, and he was now lying on his bed motionless. He heard someone knocking on his door. The first thing he did was grab his gun. Though it didn't have any more bullets in it, he was sure it would make a believable farce.

“Who's there?” Naraku asked as he stood next to the door.

“Honey, it's me open up.” Kikyo said and he sighed out of pure relief. Naraku slowly opened the door and his girlfriend walked in. “I brought you some clothes; I thought you might need them after what happened yesterday.”

“How did you know I was here?” Kikyo shrugged her shoulders.

“I thought I might find you here since when I was cheating on Inuyasha we would meet here…It's one of the few places I know you can stand.” Naraku sighed heavily as he shut the door behind her. Kikyo walked over to a table near the bed and placed the paper bag with his clothes on it.

“I'm glad you came here, we have to run away.” Kikyo was shocked; she had plans of running away already but not with him.

“Why? When?” He shook his head.

“That bastard Bankotsu will kill me…we gotta get away now that we have the chance and start a new empire in another city, it will be hard but we can do it.” Kikyo nodded in understanding. “We should get out of here as soon as possible…Kagura can't be trusted anymore; she should have showed up last night…Kikyo, tomorrow night we have to get away. I still have my private jet, it's on the roof of my building but if I go back there Bankotsu will have something prepared for me.”

“Darling, what about Inuyasha?” She asked and Naraku laughed.

“That coward, yes of course…we have to kill him, in fact you'll kill him. You have promised it before.” Kikyo nodded again and he smiled evilly.

“I'll do anything for you.” She lied with a fake smile plastered on her ruby red lips, Naraku kissed them before he walked towards the table and grabbed the bag.

“That's perfect, because we both now what could happen if you didn't.” He whispered as he changed his clothes.

“Hey you, wake up.” Sango's sweet voice boomed in his ears as he slowly stretched his body.

Miroku had slept on a chair next to her, claiming that if they wanted to take him out of her room they would have to kill him first, literally. The nurses surrendered and let him stay but only if he promised not to bother the patient next to Sango. That wasn't a problem since after Inuyasha left Miroku fell asleep very quickly. Too much energy had been used to protect Naraku and himself. Sango had woken up and thought everything was a nightmare, but when she tried to move her leg and felt an atrocious pain inside her, she remembered everything. Her eyes traveled around the room before she spotted him lying in an uncomfortable position in a chair.

“Morning.” He mumbled as left his resting spot and walked towards her bed.

“Did you spend the night here?” Her boyfriend nodded embarrassed and Sango giggled. “I'm happy you worry so much for me.”

“I talked to the doctor last night. He said that in two days you can go home.” Sango smiled.

“That's great! I've always hated hospitals.” She giggled softly as Miroku sighed and walked towards the door. He closed it slowly before going back to his seat.

“Is something wrong?” she asked cautiously.

“No, I just…we need to talk.” Sango sighed heavily.

“I don't like the sound of it.” She whispered, letting out another sigh.

“Sango, when I first brought you in here, I talked to the doctor after he removed the bullet…he mentioned something about you losing too much blood and that you…that you nearly lost the baby.” Miroku finished and looked at her big brown eyes.

Sango didn't dare say a word. It was as if someone had thrown a bucket of cold water in her face. She couldn't even blink, the truth had been revealed and she had no idea what to say or what to do. Miroku waited for her to say something, finding out that his child was in great danger was a big shock to him but it was even more shocking that Sango hadn't told him that she was pregnant. The whole night he had wanted to ask her this but she looked so peaceful in her sleep, and after such a crazy night the last thing he wanted was to disturb her. Sango finally turned her back on him and he sighed, Miroku got up and went to sit in front of her.

“Why didn't you tell me?” he asked with sorrow.

“Because I didn't know what you were going to say or my parents or people at school…do you know how hard it is to walk around school with everyone watching you and whispering behind your back stuff that isn't even true?” Sango asked as she let down some tears.

“Why do you care about what those jerks have to say? Sango… the reason I fell in love with you was because nothing could break you down and now here you are, crying in front of me because you care more about people's opinion than your…” he took a deep breath and looked at her with sorrow filled in his eyes. “Our baby's life.” Sango cried some more, Miroku cleaned her tears gently and hugged her lightly.

“Do you really… love me?” she asked sniffing before cleaning one last tear.

“Yes, I do… I have said it before but now my love for you feels stronger than ever and I want my son or daughter to know it.” He answered truthfully, Sango started crying again. Miroku kissed her lips as he tried to calm her down.

“I'm sorry I didn't tell you before.” She whispered against his ear, Miroku smiled softly.

“It's okay, everything's okay.” Miroku mumbled before kissing her forehead and lying next to her.

Kagome looked up to the clock in her class; it marked 3:45 pm. She wanted this horrible day to end already. Being all alone wasn't the most wonderful thing, and she was very worried about Sango. Mostly, however, the thought that couldn't stop running through her mind was Inuyasha. `Kikyo…she's everything to him, that's why he couldn't say no to anything she said…even about loving her. But what if he's lying to me and not her? What if he's only with me because I'm…Shinta's daughter… yeah, he's only with me for pity.' Kagome looked up again at the clock which now showed 3:50 pm. `So what? I'm his spare? Whenever Kikyo feels like she doesn't want him anymore he knows he's always gonna have me? No, Inuyasha…he isn't like that, at least I don't think he is. This makes me think so much, I barely know him and he's already my boyfriend!' Kagome sighed heavily as she picked up her books, the bell had rung and it was time for her to go home. `But my feelings towards him are very strong…I've never felt this way before, could I have finally fallen in love?' As soon as she heard her own thoughts her cheeks reddened. `What am I saying? Love is just a stupid rumor created by stupid Disney movies and chick flicks. There is no such thing as love.' She convinced herself. Kagome walked out of her school and didn't see Inuyasha.

“He might be busy like he said.” She reminded herself out loud.

“Or he might be fucking another girl behind your back, Kikyo perhaps?” Kagome was scared and jumped a bit behind her she saw Bankotsu. “Hey there doll face, I missed you.”

Kagome was shocked more than scared. The last person she thought she would ever see was Bankotsu and yet, here he was standing in his typical bad boy pose with dark sunglasses covering his eyes and his arrogant smile. The wind blew softly against their hair, making Kagome's wave a bit, she gently pushed a strand behind her ear as she kept on her eyes on Bankotsu, thinking that her look would seem intimidating and that he will soon go away. But she knew that wouldn't happen; he was still standing in front of her as the wind wafted against his handsome face. Bankotsu had been waiting outside her school since he saw Kagome going inside, it had been a long wait but he knew it was worth it. `Inuyasha doesn't know what to appreciate, that bastard is going to lose it all in the end.' Bankotsu thought maliciously as he observed Kagome in her school uniform, he thought it fit her marvelously. Bankotsu tried to get near to her but Kagome stepped away, he chuckled and took off his sunglasses.

“Go away or I'll scream.” Kagome warned and Bankotsu laughed.

“Ooh… I'm so scared, yet just to see you here standing in front of me it makes me very… excited, in the good sense of the word.” Bankotsu whispered huskily as he lightly touched her cheek, but Kagome quickly stepped away to prevent him from repeating the action.

“What? I haven't seen you in so long and you act so distant… that's not very nice Kagome.” He said putting on a mask of feigned hurt.

“Get away from me Bankotsu.” She hissed furiously and he smiled lecherously.

“I love the way you get angry, your beautiful hazel eyes seem to turn ruby for a moment.” Bankotsu placed his arm around her shoulders and started walking, Kagome was about to scream when she felt something poking her ribs. “Feel that darling? Is called a weapon; if you let out a single, little yelp from your cute, pliant lipped mouth you'll find out which kind of weapon it is.”

“Why are you doing this?” She asked as they walked without a certain destination, Bankotsu shrugged his shoulders.

“It's weird, but not even I know why…you look so innocent Kagome, so unsure about life and very, let me say, very sexy. You're my dream girl and just seeing you waste your time with that jerk…it makes me angry.” He kissed her cheek softly, inhaling deeply to smell her gentile but spicy perfume.

“Where are you taking me?” Bankotsu ignored her question as he led her to his car. Once she was inside, he went to the driver's side to take them to his fabulous nightclub.

“You haven't told her, right?” Miroku asked Inuyasha as he looked for something decent to eat in his apartment.

Miroku had been practically out of this world; many things were interrupting his personal life as much as his criminal life. He ran out of groceries and now he was starving because he was too lazy to stop at a restaurant or grocery store. Miroku dropped off Sango at her house with the promise of going back in a few hours, he needed to change his clothes and take a long warm shower and grab something to eat. He, unexpectedly, found Inuyasha inside his apartment and his plans where interrupted so there he was looking for some food to calm his stomach. Inuyasha had woken up very late, it was 2 pm when he dared to open his eyes and when he remembered about his talk with Sesshomaru; Inuyasha decided he should tell everything to Miroku so he could help him in what he should do next.

“You said I shouldn't…although, Kagome is starting to hate me because she heard some of my conversation with Kikyo.” Miroku got alarmed.

“She didn't hear anything important, did she?” Inuyasha shook his head.

“I don't think she did, she heard some stuff that doesn't even have to do with our plan… whatever, Kagome is clueless.” Miroku nodded and sighed heavily.

“Maybe it would be better if you don't see her for a while.” Inuyasha became furious at his newest friend's words.

“What? I can't leave Kagome! She's everything...she's my reason to be alive.” Inuyasha sighed heavily and Miroku patted his back. “I won't, there's no way I'm going to stop seeing her…not now.”

“Inuyasha, do you want the plan to work or not?” He remained quiet but Miroku took it as a yes. “Call her and tell her you'll see her in a few weeks.”

Kagome looked at the place curiously. The first and only time she had been there she had looked at it as if it was the most wonderful place ever. People seemed to want to kill each other just to get inside of that building that apparently brought them so much fun, security surrounded the whole place wanting to keep the place as fashion as possible. But now, now that she saw it during daylight it was everything but that. It was just a gray place with a huge neon sign that had the name of the place `180o'; the streets where filled with trash, mostly with cigarette buds and their boxes. The place was deserted except for a tall guy right in the front door; Bankotsu stopped and got out as he pointed at her with a gun. Kagome sighed heavily and rolled her eyes before opening the door and getting out, Bankotsu threw his car keys to the guy outside and walked towards his office with Kagome next to him.

“Who was that guy?” Kagome asked intrigued; he closed the door, making sure that it was locked and that no one disturbed them.

“My brother, I borrowed his car when I went to see you… my car kinda exploded when I attacked Naraku.” Kagome rolled her eyes and sat on his seat, Bankotsu eyed her surprised.

“Excuse me darling, I believe you're sitting somewhere you shouldn't.” Kagome rolled her eyes again.

“So why did you bring me here? I thought you wanted to kidnap me not to visit your so called hot club.” Bankotsu laughed.

“Oh, so just because I brought you here with me safe instead of throwing you inside of an old basement with your hands tied up and a blindfold you believe you're not kidnapped? So naïve, that's so cute.” Kagome blushed lightly but shook her head.

“Then what's your brilliant plan? What are you going to do with me?” Bankotsu shook his head.

“No, it's what you'll do to me…don't you get it yet? Although I would really want you with me you're someone else's bitch…Inuyasha might have already taken your…well, your `unique' trait but you're only the bait…if Inuyasha still cares, if not…I'll have to throw you away…or…should I keep you?” Kagome scoffed.

“Bite me.” He laughed.

“Oh, nice… do you really mean it? Cause you look delicious.” Kagome gagged and Bankotsu laughed again, this time even harder. “Who needs affection when I have blind hatred?” Kagome ignored him, although she was very furious on the inside. “I think I'll keep you.”

“FYI moron…how will Inuyasha know I'm here if he said he wouldn't see me in maybe a few days?” Bankotsu smiled.

`While she's here…maybe I can play with her mind, it wouldn't hurt to push Inuyasha away.' He thought maliciously.

“So he gave you the `a few days' excuse? Typical from him.” Kagome eyed him curiously.

“What do you mean by that?” Bankotsu shook his head.

“Nothing, just that when we used to be friends…he told me about the girls he dated and whenever he didn't want them anymore in his bed, he just told them that a few days away wouldn't matter…a few days and then weeks which would become months followed by years and of course become an eternity…he did that so many times, too many to count.” Kagome shook her head and folded her arms angry.

“Bullshit.” She mumbled, Bankotsu grabbed her by the chin and forced her to look at him.

“It's the awful truth Kagome…accept it, in a few minutes the bastard might be calling telling you he needs to see you and then he will tell you that he will be very busy with work and that he won't be able to see you in a few weeks.”

Kagome scoffed and got off of his seat, she walked away from him and faced a wall in case she cried. She just couldn't believe it, it wasn't true… right? Inuyasha, her Inuyasha wouldn't dare to do such a terrible thing as leaving her with such a lame excuse but yet, Kagome had a certain part of her that really bought that stupid lie Bankotsu had just blurted out. `He's just being the jerk he is…I'm not going to fall for his stupid tricks, I might be forced to be in here but I'm not forced to believe in everything he says…trust your boyfriend, Inuyasha is…' Kagome heard her cell phone ring; Kagome sighed heavily and hoped it was her mother calling. She froze when she saw his name on the caller ID but she answered anyways.

“Hi, where are you?” Kagome asked and heard him sigh.

“At my apartment…are you home?” Inuyasha asked and she thought for a moment, if she told him the truth she would be helping Bankotsu so she lied.

“No, I'm out with some friends…Ayame and Kouga asked me out again and I just couldn't say no.” Bankotsu turned to look at her and arched his brow.

“Oh, I just…I wanted to see you; I have something very important to tell you.” Kagome felt her heart skip a beat.

“Whatever it is, I'm sure you can tell me on the phone…right?” Inuyasha sighed heavily.

“Kagome, I think we should stop seeing each other for a few weeks…you know, with everything that has been happening I just don't want…” Kagome started crying and let out a sob.

“And then what? You'll call me in two weeks and tell me that you don't want to see me for a month? Inuyasha, I'm glad I didn't get intimate with you because right now, I even regret the fact that you were the first man I ever kissed…you're a jerk and don't you ever dare call me again!” Kagome threw her phone to the ground, breaking it into pieces, just like Inuyasha had done with her heart.
