“What's that noise?” Kagome fearfully asked as she heard the screeching sound of a knife against a porcelain plate.

 

“Me, eating breakfast.” She heard someone mumble, immediately she thought of Bankotsu but when she opened her beautiful brown eyes she saw his brother sitting next to her.

 

Unlike Bankotsu, his older brother had his head shaved covered with a light blue scarf delicately covering his baldhead. Just like any other of the brothers in the band of seven he had a tattoo on his face. His tattoo were two magenta stripes on his eyes which went from his forehead to his chin. He had a more peaceful look in his eyes. Whenever Bankotsu's eyes where on her she felt as if he could read her mind. She felt Bankotsu knew every move she would make before she even did it. But Renkotsu, he had a look that inspired trust and she had only discovered that after spending sometime alone with him. Kagome also discovered he wasn't the pig she thought he was. `But it was right to think about him that way, first impressions are the ones that matter… and when he tried to kiss me… I felt like… a piece of meat, just for his sick pleasure. But now that I look at him, the real Renkotsu… I'm glad he's here and not Bankotsu.' Kagome thought a bit excited about the fact that she hadn't seen that man the whole morning, but she just couldn't help to ask.

 

“Where's Bankotsu?” Kagome asked comfortable with presence, Renkotsu munched a piece of fried egg that he had chopped into pieces earlier.

 

“Sleeping, I've been here about an hour ago.” He answered before introducing another piece of his breakfast to his mouth.

 

“Why are you here?” she asked him and he stood up and walked towards a small table to place a plate in front of her. Kagome eyed at the food on the plate. It was a fried egg with two pieces of bacon on the sides. “Thanks.”

 

“Why do you care so much about my brother?” Renkotsu asked, jealousy filling his voice.

 

“I don't care about him, it's just that… I'm worried about what happened to me and about something that occurred last night, I don't want to repeat it and I don't want to be near him.” Kagome admitted; Renkotsu nodded before grabbing his empty plate and standing up.

 

“You better eat; if he asks you if you want to eat… say no.” Kagome nodded and saw him walking towards the door.

 

“Why?” she asked and he turned around to see her.

 

“I've seen other girls fall asleep after their second bite, you can imagine the rest.” Kagome got a bit disgusted by the thought of what Bankotsu could do to her. “Another thing, this never happened.”

 

Kagome looked at him with a small smile on her face, she saw the door being closed and started eating with her hands since Renkotsu had forgotten to leave a fork for her. She ate slowly as she enjoyed every bite of her food and once she was done she pushed the plate under the closet from where Bankotsu had grabbed the blankets. `I'm sure Bankotsu will let me go even if Inuyasha doesn't come… he has this kind of look of a bad guy but I'm sure he's good inside.' She thought and sighed. `Who am I kidding? I'll be here till the day I die and Bankotsu will pay the cops if my mom reports me as kidnapped. I wish I could get out of here somehow.' Kagome got up and walked towards the door, she tried to open it but it was locked from the outside. She kept on pulling the door when suddenly she saw it open, Kagome fell backwards and watched Bankotsu coming in.

 

“Good morning sunshine.” He said as he stretched his hand to help her get up; Kagome, as always, rejected his help and got up by herself. “Try starting your day with your right foot darling.”

 

“I rather start my day without seeing you.” Bankotsu laughed joyfully, he grabbed her by the arm and pushed her inside his office once again. “Hungry darling?”

 

“No.” She said remembering Renkotsu's words, Bankotsu looked at her surprised. “I don't feel like eating… at least not now.”

 

“Alright.” He sighed in defeat. “I'll call Inuyasha just to annoy him and let him now where you are… by the way, you'll be joining me tonight.”

 

“Where?” Kagome asked curious and Bankotsu smiled as he heard the dial tone from his cell phone.

 

“That's for me to know and for you to find out.” She rolled her eyes and he laughed again. “I just adore it when you roll your eyes.”

Unable to sleep the rest of the night, Inuyasha was up sitting in his bed with his cell phone in his hand. Every three minutes he would call Kagome, during that time he waited for her to call him. `Even though it will be better for her to leave everything this way… I just can't help it, I love her too much to let her hurt me… it's not fair, she has to know how much I love her… I've been stabbed with a knife, I received a bullet in my arm, I have even broken both of my legs by falling from the fifth floor… but nothing hurts more than knowing how many times I've made her cry.' He thought sadly as he dialed her number again, it was always the same. He would immediately hear the operator telling him the number was out of service. Inuyasha got off of his bed and threw his cell phone to the floor; he walked towards his small fridge to get something to eat when he heard his cell phone ring. In a matter of seconds, he ran towards his cell phone and picked it up before answering.

 

“Kagome?” Inuyasha's mouth let out unconsciously, he heard someone laugh at him.

 

“It's amazing how lame you can be sometimes.” Bankotsu said and Inuyasha's blood boiled in anger.

 

“What the fuck do you want?” He yelled and heard Bankotsu laugh once again.

 

“Nothing, just calling to say hi… and that I have your girlfriend but no big deal.” Inuyasha felt like ripping him apart, it was the last thing he needed to add more pain to the already consuming loneliness that he had from before. Hearing that Bankotsu, the man he most despised at that moment, had Kagome with him was deadly.

 

“If you lay a single finger on her… I'll…!”

 

“You'll what?” Bankotsu interrupted him, Inuyasha sighed, realizing that his threats wouldn't make a difference.

 

“Leave her alone Bankotsu, she has nothing to do with Naraku or me.” Inuyasha tried to convince him but heard him sigh.

 

“No, you're wrong Inuyasha… I know she's the daughter of that bastard Shinta who once shot my older brother Mukotsu and tried to kill him, I'm glad Shinta is dead but that's not the reason I called.” Inuyasha closed his eyes for a moment and decided what to do.

 

“I'll do anything you want, just don't hurt her.” Bankotsu chuckled and shook his head.

 

“Listen to me Inuyasha, if you come to my club you won't even get to my office's door… if you want her back meet me on top of Naraku's building tonight and you might get your girlfriend.”

 

“You piece of…” Inuyasha wanted to finish the sentence but the dial tone informed him Bankotsu was no longer listening.

 

Inuyasha threw his cell phone against the wall and broke it in pieces; it didn't matter to him since he wouldn't be using it anymore. Inuyasha went to his closet and grabbed his favorite red t-shirt with his usual ripped jeans, he went towards the shower along with the bag Miroku had. After a long refreshing shower he came out of the bathroom and ran out of his apartment but not before grabbing the other bag Miroku had gave him. Inuyasha grabbed a cab and told the driver to take him to Sango's house. Earlier, Miroku had called him to let him now the good news of his wedding and to tell him to meet him the next day at his future wife's house because they needed to rehearse the plan Miroku had organized. Inuyasha got to her house soon enough to see Miroku going out with Sango; he gave them a sad smile to both of them as he got out of the cab.

 

“Good to see you smiling.” Miroku said as he approached him. “Is something wrong with you?”

 

“Kagome… she's with Bankotsu.” Inuyasha said with some anger in his tone before hearing Sango gasp.

 

“Oh my god… is she okay? Why didn't she call you before?” She asked alarmed but Inuyasha shook his head.

 

“Something happened to her… she might be hurt or unconscious, I can't stand it… everything's my fucking fault!” Inuyasha yelled in anger and Miroku patted his back.

 

“Calm down Inuyasha, cursing is not going to bring her safely back to you… you must do something.” Inuyasha sighed and look at Miroku with some guilt.

“Miroku, I know I wasn't going to ask you this but I really need your help now.” His friend nodded and looked back at Sango, she smiled a little.

 

“It doesn't matter, we can do this another day… go help him, just promise me…” Sango hugged him tightly and sighed heavily. “Promise me you will come back to me and to your son or daughter.”

 

“I promise.” He mumbled and kissed her lips lightly before walking away next to Inuyasha to prepare for tonight's event.

 

As Sango walked back inside her house, Miroku and Inuyasha ran to Miroku's apartment which wasn't far away from Sango's house. He entered to his apartment and walked towards his bed; he looked under it and pulled out a box of toys. Miroku threw away the toys on the top and searched for the guns he had, he gave two to Inuyasha and grabbed a gunshot for him. Miroku then walked to his closet and grabbed a bullet proof vest before sitting on his bed. Inuyasha looked weirdly at the guns Miroku had just handed him.

 

“Miroku, I'm thankful for your help but I just… I don't want to use these.” Inuyasha commented and Miroku sighed.

 

“Do you want to get Kagome back or not?” Inuyasha nodded softly, Miroku lost his patience. “For being someone who wants her back so much you act retarded… say it! Yes or no?”

 

“Yes! I do!” Inuyasha yelled desperate, Miroku smiled.

 

“You don't know Bankotsu the way I do… he's like schizophrenic, there are two types of Bankotsu… the nice guy, who makes jokes and who is not disturbed by almost nothing except negligence and the other Bankotsu… a blood lover who wants to kill everything that moves, he's always prepared to slay anyone and does not care if it's even his own blood… he's crazy and if you care about Kagome, you will use those guns.” Inuyasha looked back at the revolvers and sighed heavily.

 

“For her.” He mumbled and closed his eyes for a moment. “This is the last time I'll do this.”

 

“Good boy, now let's move… call Kikyo, tell her you'll meet her earlier than what you thought.” Inuyasha looked at him puzzled. “Just do it.”

 

Inuyasha rolled his eyes and dialed Kikyo's cell phone number. Miroku and Inuyasha walked out of the apartment as he waited for her to answer, he quickly told her what was happening and she agreed. Miroku and Inuyasha got a car and were on their way to rescue Kagome once and for all.

Kagome was once again forced to get inside Bankotsu's car, in the back seat there were sitting Renkotsu and Kykotsu. Kykotsu was the man she saw guarding the door the day Bankotsu had brought her to his club. Kagome sighed heavily watching outside the window, the events happening in her life lately had her hurt bouncing up and down of excitement and also of sorrow. `It's unbelievable the times someone can break your heart… but is more unbelievable the amount of love you keep towards that person after everything he made you suffer. It's incredible how much I love you Inuyasha but now… now, I just want to forget I ever met you… it's so much the pain that I feel because my heart is so small and feels as if someone was sticking a wooden bar through my chest.' Kagome thought sadly and sighed again, Bankotsu turn to look at her for a millisecond and grabbed her chin to move her face to his direction.

 

“Don't worry darling, it won't be the last time you see me… I promise we'll do this more often.” Kagome turned her head away and scoffed.

 

“Shut up and drive jerk.” She mumbled and Bankotsu laughed.

 

“I'm sure Inuyasha didn't miss that attitude… maybe that's the reason he left you.” Kagome clenched her fists in anger but she let a smile appear on her lips.

 

“Yeah… maybe you're right; I should be less annoying… thanks for the tip.” Bankotsu arched his brow and she smiled although she felt a lot of angst in her inside.

 

Bankotsu parked the car in front of Naraku's building. Kagome immediately recognized the place since she had been there many of times before. Bankotsu pulled out a cigarettes box and put a stick in his mouth, he offered Kagome one and she shook her head to decline. He lit it up and let out the smoke slowly. Bankotsu looked back at Kagome and then looked at his brothers who were impatiently sitting in the back, waiting for his instructions.

 

“Out.” Bankotsu said with the cigarette on his mouth, his brothers immediately got out of the car.

 

“What are you going to do?” Kagome asked a bit scared of his actions.

 

“So… you really wanna know what I'm going to do here?” he asked as he turned down his nicotine stick, Kagome wasn't talking about that but she nodded anyways. “I'm going to kill someone because Kikyo asked me to… remember that.”

 

“Who?” Kagome asked, now curious by the fact Inuyasha was supposed to come here to `rescue' her.

 

“That's for me to know and for you to find out.” He said and smiled.

 

“Is that the only thing you know how to say? God dammit! If you are going to harm Inuyasha you should at least let me know it and stop acting like the sick stupid bastard you are!” Kagome said desperate, Bankotsu laughed.

 

“God, you're turning me on with your anger.” He moved closer to her as if he tried to kiss her, Kagome pushed him away and scoffed.

 

“You're disgusting! I rather be dead than to be with you, in fact I wish I could have a heart attack so I can just get away from you!” She said with malice and immediately Kagome heard the sound of Bankotsu's gun next to her head.

 

“Is that really what you desire, Kagome? Because if it is… I'll make you happy by doing you a favor... I'll be more than pleased to tell Inuyasha that I killed his bitch by only blowing out her brains, watching the pieces hit the window and then spilling out in my car so I can then burry your body next to your father's.” Kagome gulped and shook her head lightly.

 

“I was just kidding… it was a joke.” She said as fear consumed her, feeling every part of her body saying how much she didn't want to die. Bankotsu half smiled.

 

“I don't like those kind of sick jokes.” He whispered against her ear and pulled away his gun. “Better remember that the next time you think about saying something like that.”

 

Kagome was now able to breathe normally, she saw him with the corner of her eye as he got out of the car and hear him open the trunk. He walked towards her side and opened the door for her, he pointed the gun at her back as normally and she walked to the building.

 

“Move darling, it's going to be a fun day.” Bankotsu whispered in her ear before kissing her cheek and pushing her softly inside the building.
