Kikio goes clubbing with InuYasha, Kagome, Sango, and Miroku. she dances with a stranger. She makes the mistake of turning around and goes home. In the end she tries to get away from it all.

Chapter 3

Kikio's POV

I waited infront of my apartment complex for InuYasha. He finally drove up and I got into the back seat, “Hey Inu, Kag.” They both nodded to the mirror and I smiled, “Inu, whatcha do this time?” Kagome growled,

“Got jealous over Kouga, again!” I giggled,

“What happened.” InuYasha seathed,

“Damn wolf wouldn't quit calling Kagome his.” Kagome looked at him, fire in her eyes,

“Dammit, InuYasha! I'm not going to leave you!”(a/n: yes Kagome does curse, but only a little when she's really really ticked) InuYasha pulled into a parking lot near the club and turned off the car. I got out,

“I'll meet you guys in there.” Kagome shook her head at me and got out,

“Nah, we'll be fine, won't we Inu?” InuYasha nodded,

“Feh.” I smirked, same old InuYasha. Never changed. I followed the two into the club and ordered a beer, considering I was either getting a ride with the lech or with InuYasha it didn't really matter, as long as I didn't have to walk. I went and sat in a corner and watched InuYasha, Kagome, Miroku, and Sango dance. I ordered them all drinks and sat at a table and waited for them. Kagome came back followed by the rest of the group and sat next to me,

“What's up? Why aren't you dancing.” I stared past her to InuYasha and sighed,

“Never mind, it's nothing. I'm just really really tired.” Sango sighed and shook her head,

“Then you should've stayed home and rested. Silly.” I smiled at them,

“I like being out with you guys. Even though I see you at work, almost every single day.” InuYasha shrugged,

“Hey, it ain't my fault I'm the boss.” I eyed him,

“Right. It's dad's fault.” I giggled to myself and watched the lights. I sniffed, I smelled something familiar, something inu youkai-something Sesshoumaru. I paniced and looked to the door and lo and behold, there was mister icicle himself. “Great.” I muttered. InuYasha nodded,

“You wanna leave, I can take you home.” I shook my head,

“Naw.” I took a drink from my beer and got up, “I'm dancing, I dunno about you guys.” I got up and headed to the dance floor.

As I started to dance I noticed Mr. Ice cube watching me. I smirked inwardly and just kept dancing. Kagome and Sango soon joined me and the guys just kept watchin us and drinking whatever beverage they had. I kept smiling and I got board and went back to the table. Kagome and Sango smiled. Kagome giggled, “There were a bunch of guys watching you. You know you can really dance.” I smiled,

“Well I'm no better than you guys.” InuYasha smirked,

“Well you had his attention.” He nodded towards Sesshoumaru's direction. I smiled and nodded,

“I know.” They turned the lights down real low and the only lights were those over the tables. I walked back over to the dance floor and lost myself in the music and the dark. I knew Kagome and the rest were watching me, and I knew that Sesshoumaru was watching me. But I didn't care.

Normal POV

Kikio began dancing again and soon she found hands on her hips, moving with her. She smiled as she sniffed slightly, she knew who it was but she let him have his fun and she went with him. She put her arms around his neck and slowly grinded into him making circles with her hips.

“Do you see who she's dancing with?!” InuYasha looked over to Kagome. Kagome shook her head,

“No Inu, I don't cos I can't see.” InuYasha nodded,

“Well then, guess who she's dancing with?” Kagome shrugged,

“Dunno, Brad Pitt?” InuYasha scowled at her,

“No. My brother.” Sango gasped,

“You've gotta get her outta there!” InuYasha shook his head,

“No, it's for their own good.”

Kikio looked into the man's face and smiled, “Hello. Sesshoumaru.” Sesshoumaru looked down and slightly gasped,

“I had no clue it was you. I thought it was someone else.” Kikio sighed as a tear slipped down her cheek, she nodded sadly,

“Sorry for bugging you.” She took his hands off of her waist and made a bee-line for the door.

InuYasha watched her walk out the door. He looked to Miroku, “Follow her, make sure she gets home alright.” Miroku grabbed his coat and headed to his car and began following Kikio. Meawhile InuYasha got up and walked over to his brother. He grabbed his shirt collar and held him up against the wall, “You have no clue what you're doing, do you?!” Sesshoumaru smirked,

“Neither do you.” He held a hand up and it began to glow green with poison. InuYasha set him down,

“Fair enough. Do you know what you did to her?!” Sesshoumaru growled,

“That bitch lost my trust a long time ago. She told me she didn't need me and that I was too stuck up around Kagura so she said that she didn't need someone like that.” InuYasha sighed,

“She's dieing from the inside out Sesshoumaru. I know you're still upset about Kagura, but…maybe you should try for Kikio. You know I remember when you called her and told her you and Kagura were dating. I was over doing a project with her, Kagome and all them were outta town…”

~flashback~

Kikio sat on her bed with her History book on her lap, “Alright, Inu, World War II ended after?” InuYasha sighed,

“After the Americans dropped atomic bombs on us. Baka gaijin.” Kikio giggled,

“Good, now type that down.” InuYasha typed it on his laptop and printed it out along with the list of other facts. The phone rang and Kikio jumped up to her phone. She looked on the caller ID and smiled, “It's Sess!” She giggled and picked it up, “Moshi Moshi?”

“Kikio?” Sesshoumaru's voice floated out of the phone, “Guess what?” Kikio shrugged and grinned a bit,

“Huh?”

“Kagura and I are dating now…she finally noticed me!” Kikio smiled sadly and faked a happy laugh,

“That's great, Sess! So…I've gotta go and finish a project. See you at school?”

“Yeah sure…you ok?” Kikio nodded,

“Yeah. I gotta go. Bye.” Kikio hung up the phone, tears stinging her eyes. She sat on her bed and then laid down. A tear slipped down her cheek.

“Ki? You ok?” Kikio shook her head,

“I'll be fine. Why don't we finish it tomarrow?” InuYasha walked over and sat next to Kikio,

“Kikio. What's wrong?” Kikio flung up tears staining her cheeks,

“Sesshoumaru is going out with that slut bitch Kagura, that's what wrong! He said that he loved me… he said that he would never date a girl without telling me… and now look where he is!” Kikio flung herself back down, crying into her pillows. InuYasha sighed and packed up his bag,

“I'll talk to him. I'll see you later Ki.”

“I walked out the door and got Kenshin. Then I walked outta that house for a long time. Kikio wouldn't let any of us in, she didn't go to school for two whole months. She didn't eat, sleep, go outside, nothing. She made herself sick.” Sesshoumaru stared at him,

“How do you know this if she didn't see anyone for two months?” InuYasha sighed and took a drink of soda,

“Kenshin. He gave us updates when we went to Kaoru's resturant for lunch. He didn't like leaving her, but he had to support her so he had to work.” He finished off his soda and pulled on his jacket, “Well, I gotta go. Kag is waiting for me in the car, and I got work tomarrow. See ya Sunday Sesshoumaru.” Sesshoumaru shrugged,

“Bye.”

Kikio sat on her bed looking around her apartment, “I have such a crappy life.” There was a knock on the door and she got up to get it. She opened it and her brother stared down at her with his violet eyes. Her brother smiled a bit and then frowned as his sister opened the door. She looked a mess. She had bags under her eyes, she was wearing a old button up shirt of his, her hair was a mess, and she was wearing holey socks. He walked into the apartment and looked at his sister and then around her apartment. All her blinds were closed and the only light were several carefully placed night lights. Kikio held her head, “Ugh, Kenshin, what do you want?” Kenshin chuckled,

“Kenji's been askin' about you. So has Kaoru's brother, Yahiko.” Kikio smiled,

“I should come over to your place sometime. Ugh…my head.” Kenshin hugged her and sniffed her hair slightly,

“Now Kikio, what caused a beautiful girl like you to drink?” Kikio scoffed and stumbled to her kitchen pulling a bottle of whiskey out and took a drink,

“Beautiful…tell that to the love of my life, who I lost in High School and who came back and I discover I am now his teacher.” A tear slipped down her cheek but the hard look remained on her face. Kenshin sighed,

“I know. InuYasha told me.” Kikio growled,

“How is it that InuYasha always wants to put his nose in my business?!” Kenshin sighed,

“Ki, he's only worried.” Kikio sighed and her body shook with sobs,

“I know. Dammit, what did I do?!” Kenshin shrugged,

“I dunno. I'll be back in a bit. I'm gonna go get some groceries for you. I know the usual, and then I'm gonna go pick up Kaoru, Kenji, and maybe Yahiko. Maybe he's at work.” Kikio nodded,

“What does he do now, anyway?” Kenshin smiled,

“He's working as a kendo teacher at night, and then during the day he helps out at the resturant.” Kikio smiled, tears still going down her cheeks. Kenshin smiled kissed his sister's forehead and then walked outside. Kikio growled and began tearing up her apartment.

Kenshin walked back into Kikio's apartment to find feathers falling like snow. Kaoru, Yahiko, who was carrying Kenji, followed Kenshin into the apartment. Kenshin bent down by his sister and carried her to her room. He returned and smiled at Kaoru, “She'll be alright. Yahiko, why don't you go sit in her room with her, alright?” Yahiko nodded and walked into Kikio's room. Kikio looked at the door from her position on her bed,

“Yahiko?” Yahiko sat next to her and she launched herself at him, “Yahiko…I'm ready to die….i want to die.” Yahiko looked at her sadly and laid her down,

“Shhh, no you don't. Lay down, I'll be back.” Yahiko got up and walked into the living room where Kaoru and Kenshin were cleaning up. He picked up Kenji from his play pen and walked over to the island in the kitchen, he sat on a stool and sighed, “She's gone suicidle.” Kenshin looked at his brother in law, wide eyed,

“What the hell do you mean, `Suicidle'?!” Yahiko shook his head,

“Yahiko…I'm ready to die….i want to die.' Exactly that.” Kaoru gasped,

“Kenshin…you've got to do something. Kikio's been in a spiral of depression since her Senior year, she looks like she's fourty and she's only twenty two, and now she's suicidle!” Kenshin sighed,

“There's nothing we can do but let Sesshoumaru die from the inside out as well.”

Kikio laid on her bed and located a bottle of Asprin and a bottle of whiskey, “Do not take with Alcohol. Fuck that.” She grabbed pill after pill and drank swig after swig until her vision grew blurry, “I'll kill myself after my nap.” Yahiko walked into her bedroom and saw her pass out, and the empty bottles of Whisky and Asprin,

“KENSHIN!!!!!” Kenshin and Kaoru ran in and saw what Yahiko was holding. Kenshin grabbed his sister and ran to the car, driving to the hospital. “Now how do we get there.” Kaoru walked into the kitchen and located Kikio's keys,

“Kikio's car. Hurry we gotta go, grab Kenji.” Kaoru grabbed her purse and ran out the door, while Yahiko grabbed Kenji and followed behind her.
