Inu-youkai slid his gaze to female Inuyasha. “Why are you doing this?” “He doesn't need an explanation.” This voice that emerged from the darkness was deeper and soothing. Inu-nigen appeared his black hair and violet eyes far different from Inuyasha's and Inu-youkai. The hanyou stepped back. “Don't be afraid. I'm the nice one, remember?”

 

Inu-nigen grabbed her clawed hand and drug him to his chest. “I'll take it from here.” He nodded towards Inu-youkai who disappeared into the darkness, red eyes glistening with unshed tears.

Virgil all too well knew the turmoil going on inside Inuyasha's brain. But since he had gone through it, he, quite frankly, didn't give a damn. Though, the looks the woman on his side gave Inuyasha….

 

“A woman so pure shouldn't be with one so defiled by sin.” He mused….no reply. `Strange, even Dante gave way to my insults and he was weakened by the mere sight of hell.' Kagome rubbed her fingers over the knuckles of Heiwa's hand. “Mom, is dad okay?” The first real sentence he'd spoken to her in the time she'd been with him in the bowels of hell.

“No Heiwa.”

 

The little boy glanced at his father, his face a mask of unemotionalized feelings. His arms were folded inside of his haori, face pulled into a definite mask of stone but his eyes….. They scared him.

“Mom….daddy isn't well.” Kagome looked into the dead ridden forest that unfolded into a sea of red screaming souls.

 

“No and neither are we.” Her dark brown eyes shifted. “Virgil, where are we?” The raven-haired male smirked. “The sea of Desire. Wrath is its current and lust is the wind.” The pagan danced about almost luridly as the facial expression of the female behind him turned.

 

“How could you be so cruel?” She held Heiwa to her chest. “This is no place for a child!” She pointed rudely at the souls writhing amongst each other showing vile and derogatory images of sex. Heiwa's eyes caught at them and he hid his face in his mother's skirt.

 

“I am merely showing him how he was brought about. Besides…” Virgil spoke with a sneer “It was how h came to be wasn't it?” With a wave of his hand bushes parted as the water lapped at the orange colored shore. Inside the water was a scene Kagome replayed in her mind that was all too familiar.

 

“Mommy…..daddy…..”

The hanyou stepped on behind his human self, his body now that of a male. He hated the changing back and forward…some type of message from inside himself he supposed. Inu-nigen grunted drawing Inuyasha's attention to two windows. They were the only light in the dark recesses of which he had been drug through.

 

“Inuyasha, here are two windows, one present and one that could happen. By you're actions…” He nodded towards the left window “That may never come true. But the one on the right is what is happening to you're mate and son.” Inuyasha looked pleadingly at Inu-nigen before running to the right window.

 

He clasped a hand over his mouth as he watched Kagome shield her son's…their son's eyes from a lake. Upon it was the brutal mating that forged his birth. Kagome's legs spread wide, his member buried deep inside her, her screams….he covered his ears….till this day those screams would haunt him.

 

“Hard to watch isn't it, to let your son know just how much of a monster you are.” Inuyasha shook his head at the nigen counterpart. “I'm not a monster!” “Then what are you?” Inu-nigen's voice echoed.

“I don't know…” From the darkness he spoke again. “A demon?” “No.” “A human?” “No.” “A hanyou?”

Inuyasha looked towards the other window, his claws caressing the frame as he saw a hanyou Kagome and himself playing gently with his son and a small baby girl.

 

Her smile mimicking her mothers and when she frowned it looked like her father. “What is Inuyasha?” Inu-nigen disappeared completely voice and all. The hanyou rocked to and fro looking out both windows. “I am…”

Kagome's laughter and her screams echoed through both windows at the same time. “I am…Kagome's.”

Kagome felt arms wrap around her trembling form and a muffled cry of anguish on her hair. “Please forgive me….please…”

“Awww….such a happy family.” Virgil griped. “Come on then.” He waved his hand over the water making the vision collapse in itself. Kagome wrenched herself from Inuyasha's arms.

“Never…” Inuyasha swallowed hard and reached out to her. “Don't you dare touch me or my son! You pathetic monster.”

 

The barriers around his heart began to crack. “You never cared once about my feelings! Running off with Kikyo, taking my virginity doing shit that pissed me off to no avail!” Inuyasha walked towards her, she held up her hand and held Heiwa close to her.

 

“When we leave here I want nothing else to do with you and you can pray to the gods to ever see your son again.”
