Don't Cry by Guns N' Roses
Talk to me softly
There's something in your eyes
Don't hang your head in sorrow
And please don't cry
I know how you feel inside I've
I've been there before
Somethin's changin' inside you baby
And don't you know
Don't you cry tonight
I still love you
Don't you cry tonight
Don't you cry tonight
There's a heaven above you baby
And don't you cry tonight
Give me a whisper
And give me a sigh
Give me a kiss before you tell me goodbye
Don't you take it so hard now
And please don't take it so bad
I'll still be thinking of you
And the times we had ... baby
And don't you cry tonight
Don't you cry tonight
Don't you cry tonight
There's a heaven above you baby
And don't you cry tonight
And please remember that I never lied
And please remember
How I felt inside now honey
You gotta make it your own way
But you'll be alright now sugar
You'll feel better tomorrow
Come the morning light now baby
And don't you cry tonight
An don't you cry tonight
An don't you cry tonight
There's a heaven above you baby
And don't you cry
Don't you ever cry
Don't you cry tonight
Baby maybe someday
Don't you cry
Don't you ever cry
Don't you cry
Tonight
Naraku paced back and forth inside the room of his palace. His face was twisted with a jealous rage that he had not felt in a few years. Going to see the Inu-Daisho had proved to be a move that he had wished he had made. To see Aliya, his woman walking through the halls of Youkai's palace wearing the kimonos of a youkai female royal had filled him with anger.
When he had grabbed her by her neck, Naraku had been hit with the scent of the Inu-Daisho Lord. He shook angrily, gritting his teeth together. I'm going to... find her and when I do... The youkai raised his eyes towards the window and stared outside. He growled as his body was swallowed by his poisonous miasma.
Elsewhere in the middle of a wilderness, on the outskirts of the Western and Middle Lands of Japan, Aliya found herself almost unable to go on. Her feet were sore and cramped with each step feeling as if she was walking upon needles.
Her thighs trembled as she walked signaling their need for rest. She hung her head feeling as if at any moment her body was going to give out. But what was worse than the exhaustion that she felt was the never-ending pains of hunger.
The pains almost struck her within the first two hours after she left Sesshomaru's palace. Although she had carried food with her within a matter of two weeks she had went through the pillowcase of food she had brought with her. And now on the second day of the third week, she was at her wits end from the hunger.
Aliya wiped her mouth as she once again felt her stomach growl angrily. Raising her eyes, she tried to look around her to find something to eat but the only thing that she saw was cattle and a few scattered sheep. Her stomach growled louder causing her to place her hand on it. Why... is my stomach growling this much? When I was traveling through Japan that year I never felt hunger this bad...
As she was trying to figure out what she was going to do, she felt something brush against her leg. Looking down she saw one of the sheep had wandered over to where she was. Staring down at it, she felt saliva gather in her mouth. Her heart began to pound as she felt a strange sensation overtake her body. Her golden eyes slowly burned a bright blood red color.
Within seconds, the young woman had lunged at the sheep and ripped into its throat. As soon as the blood had touched her tongue and the smell of the sheep filled her nostrils her hunger over-powered her. Aliya ripped the sheep apart, tearing into its flesh. When there was nothing left that she wanted, Aliya rose and was quickly upon the rest of the herds.
Once her hunger was satisfied, the color of Aliya's eyes slowly turned golden again. Aliya stared down at her hands covered in blood. She raised her gaze to stare at the carcasses before her. She couldn't believe the carnage she had caused. Slowly she raised the back of her hand to her mouth and wiped away the blood. "What..... what happened?" she whispered to herself as she raised a shaky hand to her head.
Inuyasha and Koga walked into a small village. Almost immediately a small group of men ran up to them. "DEMONS!!!" they shouted brandishing pitchforks, wooden weapons and any weapon that they could carry. Inuyasha frowned and growled. "Yeah, yeah, yeah..." he growled under his breath as he tried to move past them. "You have slaughtered our sheep and cattle, you must pay!"
The two youkai stopped, staring at the men. "What are you talking about?" Koga asked, trying to keep the anger out of his voice. An elderly man stepped forward from the crowd. He looked over the two youkai carefully and then nodded.
"These are not the youkai we are looking for. They came from the north..." he said. The other men didn't look as convinced but after a minute or two they dispersed leaving the elderly man and the youkai alone.
"Tell us old man, what are the villagers talking about?" Inuyasha asked. "A few days ago our whole herd of both sheep and cows were found brutally slaughtered. It was unlike anything I had ever seen before. It was clear that whoever had killed them was a demon because their throats had been ripped open and you can see claw marks clearly in the hides." Inuyasha looked at Koga who appeared thoughtful.
"You two are powerful youkai... can you find the one who slaughtered our herds?" the old man asked them. Inuyasha folded his arms over his chest, his face an angry mask. "To clear our names... yeah... we will..." he said as he walked off with Koga in tow. The two youkai remained silent as they walked. "Hey... smell that?" Koga asked the hanyou.
"Yeah," Inuyasha answered back. All around them was the scent of blood. Walking a bit further, they found remnants of the slaughtered herds. Their eyes wandered over the scene. "Someone lost control..." Koga said as they stepped forward again. Inuyasha nodded his head as he sank to the ground and began to sniff around.
As the hanyou sniffed the ground, Koga's eyes searched everywhere for signs of the demon when he was grabbed suddenly by Inuyasha. "Dammit, what!?" the Okami growled. He stared at the hanyou who seemed to have gotten the scent of the demon. "Inuyasha... what is it?" "It...." Inuyasha began before suddenly bounding off towards the east.
Koga growled but quickly followed after him wondering what it was that had caught the hanyou's attention. Within minutes they found themselves before the mouth of a cave. Slowly the walked in hearing what sounded like soft growling noises coming from the darkness. As they walked a few paces they were met with a shocking sight.
Inuyasha felt his blood run cold as he beheld Aliya over a dead sheep. Her eyes rose quickly as they stepped towards her. Koga was shocked as she watched them with blood red eyes. When they were right before her she growled in warning as she continued to eat hungrily. "Aliya..." Inuyasha said, softly as he stared at the young woman in disbelief.
With a menacing growl, the young woman leapt over her meal and grabbed both youkai by their throats and shoved them with amazing strength to the wall of the cave. Her upper lip curled as she snarled in their faces. Inuyasha and Koga didn't move knowing that doing so would anger her.
As she leaned forward preparing for attack, Aliya stopped growling and she pulled back, her eyes slowly returning to their normal amber color. "Inuyasha?" she whispered then turned her eyes towards the Okami. "Koga..."
The young woman collapsed against them, holding them close to her. The youkai held their friend close to them, their scents assailed by the overwhelming scent of blood. Koga slowly stepped away from Inuyasha and Aliya knowing that the two needed this time alone and quietly he slipped out of the cave. Inuyasha stroked Aliya's hair before pulling back to look at her. "Aliya... what happened?" he asked her.
"I-I don’t know, Inuyasha," she said. "For the past few weeks I have been hit with incredible hunger pains on a regular basis." The hanyou examined the face of his friend. "So it was you who had slaughtered the villager's herds," he said, brushing her hair from her face. "I didn't mean to... I couldn't help it. Every time I am overcome by hunger I want to... kill. Trying to satisfy my hunger, I slaughtered the herds."
The hanyou shook his head. "You cannot continue to kill, Aliya." He stepped away from her. "I have been trying to find you for a year... where have you been?" Aliya wrung her hands nervously. "I..." she began but stopped when Inuyasha turned his face back towards her. His eyes were wide and filled with something that Aliya couldn't reflect on. He leaned forward breathing in her scent. He opened his mouth to say something but nothing came out.
"Inuyasha, what's wrong?" she asked him as she reached out to touch his face. Inuyasha caught her hands and stared into her face. "Aliya... is there... something you aren't telling me?" he asked her. Aliya's face filled with confusion. "What..."
She's confused.... but how can she be confused about this? Inuyasha placed his hands on her shoulders. "Aliya..." he said, quietly. "Do you know why you are struck by a ravenous hunger that you cannot control?" Aliya slowly shook her head.
"Aliya...." Inuyasha paused unable to say the words himself. "Aliya, you're pregnant."
