“I do not understand why they would use such terminology. Are they under the delusion that they are canine?”

“No, it's just slang. It means friend or companion.”

Sesshomaru shook his head. “I will never be able to understand why humans can not simply say what they mean.”

Kagome shrugged as the rapper on the television continued to talk about `his dogs.' “I don't always get it either.” She said, picking up his arm and draping it over her shoulders.

“Do you think `Survivor' is on?”

Kagome smiled at her favourite `dog' as she changed the channel.
