He tried not to question the decisions that his Lord made, but lately he wondered at the reasons behind them, like taking in humans. At least the child had been obedient, willing to follow her Lord anywhere he travelled or to remain unmoving with a simple command. It had taken some time for him to accept her as a lesser servant of his Lord's house, but he didn't think that he would ever be able to accept his master's newest ward. She was anything but compliant in taking orders, even from the Lord, himself. She seemed to be in love with the sound of her own voice, filling any prolonged silence with pointless chatter. And worst of all her disobedience appeared to be contagious, especially to other humans.
How his master could put up with the continuing aggravation of her, he could not understand. All he could do was try not the question. If Lord Sesshomaru wanted her around then he would do as his master commanded and keep her safe…but sometimes he couldn't help but wish that his Lord would command otherwise.
