InuYasha Fan Fiction ❯ Emotions ❯ Denied ( Chapter 2 )
Okay, I don't Inuyasha. If I did……………..*daydreams*……… 230;……….*drool*……………… …..okay, okay! I'm done!
I got lots of reviews, and they made me so happy! ^_^ Ookami Spirit Hishana: Okay, I agree that the characters are pretty OOC, but they kinda have to be to make this story make sense. Also…really, the only reason Sango is acting like this, is so that the story will fit together…I know, not much of an explanation, hehe. The Rest of my Reviewers: Hehehe, nobody else really gave me reviews with questions or anything, so I just wanna say, THANX! I love you guys! ^_^
Chapter 3: Denied
"Kaede, can you help her?" Sango asked the old woman. Kaede had a skeptical look, and didn't say anything. Just then, Miroku appeared into the hut, followed by Inuyasha, Kagome, and Shippou. Sango chose to ignore the people who just entered, and looked intently from Kaede to Kagura.
"No, I cannot help her," Kaede said finally.
"You can't, or you don't want to?" Sango asked, a bitter tone in her voice.
"Sango…" Miroku started, "why are you helping her? She's a youkai…she is part of Naraku!" Sango sighed, and then saw Kagura sit up, attempting to get out of the hut. At once, Sango went over, and helped Kagura, allowing her to drape an arm over her shoulder.
"Sango?" Kagome asked, starting to feel afraid that Sango was going to turn on them all.
"What? I can see that as long as I'm helping Kagura, I'm not wanted, so I will leave," Sango said, and she turned towards the door, only to find Inuyasha standing there, his arms across his chest. "Move, Inuyasha," Sango said, letting the anger that she had been holding inside her known to him.
"Or what?" he asked her, smirking at the thought of him winning.
"Or I'll kill you," Sango said bitterly.
"Sango-sama!" Miroku said, much surprise in his voice.
"Sango-chan…you don't mean that," Kagome said, feeling flustered.
"If he doesn't get out of my way, I will do what is needed," Sango replied. She pushed the surprised hanyou to the side, and brushed past him. She had almost succeeded to get out of the village before the others caught up with her.
"Sango!" it was Shippou this time, and Sango turned around reluctantly. Kagura noted the annoyance in Sango's aura. "Sango, please don't go!" Shippou begged the girl.
"I'm sorry Shippou, but I must help her," Sango replied, allowing her voice to soften. The other three were watching what was going on, hoping that little Shippou would be able to persuade Sango to come back, and to leave Kagura to die.
"Then…" Shippou began, thinking for a minute, "then take Kirara with you, and be careful!" Shippou said, as tears threatened to come.
"I will be careful, Shippou, don't worry about me," Sango smiled, and ruffled his hair. He jumped into her arms and gave her a hug before turning away. 'That is odd…he has never treated me as one of the family…Kagome is his 'mother', Inuyasha his 'father', but he never really seemed to take Miroku or me in as part of his family,' Sango thought before turning. Kirara ran up, and transformed, allowing Sango to get on, along with Kagura. Kirara seemed to realize what saving Kagura's life meant to Sango, and was determined to help.
"I don't understand the three of you," Inuyasha said in frustration when Shippou came back to them.
"This is what Sango wants," Shippou said, letting his head hang.
"Lady Sango does not want to be with us any longer?" Miroku asked, his voice filled with hurt and rejection.
"No, that's not how she feels," Shippou said. "She feels that you don't want her anymore." The other three looked at the kitsune, surprise apparent on all of their faces.
"How can she feel that way?" Kagome asked, tears threatening to fall.
"Feh," was all Inuyasha said before turning to go back to Kaede's hut.
"Why do you have to be such a jerk?!" Kagome screamed at the retreating hanyou.
"She's being stupid," he replied. With that, Kagome was fully outraged.
"SIT!" she screamed at him. As they walked by, Miroku couldn't help but comment on how Kagome's 'sits' were becoming more powerful.
"Sorry about that," Sango said to Kagura as they headed back out to the forest.
"I still do not understand why you are helping me. It is obvious your friends protest to it all," Kagura said warily. She was starting to feel bad that she was making the other girl's life so difficult. 'I have never felt sorry for anybody but myself…why am I feeling sorry for her?' Kagura asked herself. As she pondered this, the two fell silent again. After about a half hour, Kagura's head snapped up at the sound of something in the bushes. Kirara stopped, and sniffed the air. "I know that smell…" Kagura said, letting the scent go through her nose. For a minute, Sango felt dread.
"It's not Naraku, is it?" she asked in a whisper. When Kagura shook her head, Sango felt relief, and started to look around. She finally heard the rustling again, and hopped off of Kirara's back, carrying her Hiraikotsu in a defensive position, she walked slowly to the bushes. When she parted the bushes, she found an odd sight. There was a little girl giggling, an imp that looked rather pissed, and an odd dragon looking demon with two heads. Sango looked each one of them over slowly, then back to the imp. Finally realization hit her. "You are…" but her words were cut off by an all too familiar voice.
"What, pray tell, are you doing here?" asked the person standing behind Sango. Kagura let out a small sigh of relief.
