Chapter 6: Fury

"Sesshoumaru, show yourself!" Inuyasha yelled.

"What if he isn't here?" Kagome asked Inuyasha, looking at the castle with skepticism.

"I know he's here!" Inuyasha growled.

"How?" Miroku asked.

"Stupid! I'm a hanyou, or did you forget?" Inuyasha asked with irritation in his voice.

"So, you can smell him here?" Kagome asked, still being skeptical. Inuyasha growled at his two companions.

"You guys don't trust me?!" he yelled at them.

"If you would please, shut up," Sesshoumaru said, coming out of his castle, Kirara and Rin following him.

"So you finally decided to show yourself, you fucking coward?" Inuyasha snapped.

"Temper, temper," Sesshoumaru said in his usual calm voice.

"Where is Sango?!" Inuyasha was yelling very loud by now, due to his frustration.

"She's in her room, with Kagura," Sesshoumaru said, a slight smirk on his face.

"You left her alone with that…that…bitch?!" Inuyasha asked with frustration in his voice.

"Would you please not call my friend a bitch?" Sango asked, appearing behind Sesshoumaru, and Kagura following suit. "I don't like anybody talking down to my friends, or talking shit about them! I especially find it painful to hear the people I thought were my dearest friends say that," she said to him, fire in her eyes.

"Sango!" Kagome said, she was happy to see her friend was well, but was shocked to see that she was defending Kagura…and calling her a friend!

"Kagome…Miroku…" Sango turned to the other two, and her expression softened considerably. "I've been a terrible friend to you guys…but you never stood up for me…you rejected Kagura before giving her the slightest chance…she's not so bad, once you get to know her. You are almost as bad as Inuyasha," she stated, and with that, she turned away, taking a hold of Rin's hand, and leading her away from the argument. Kagura frowned at Sango's so called 'friends' and then turned to follow Sango.

"You heard her," Sesshoumaru smirked. "Now get off of my land," he told the intruders.

"We won't leave until we get Sango back!" Inuyasha snapped.

"Does nothing go through your thick skull?" Sesshoumaru asked calmly, laughter dancing in his eyes, but no other source of emotion.

"What the hell do you mean?" Inuyasha asked.

"The wench told you off, my dear brother," Sesshoumaru said.

"DON'T CALL HER A WENCH!" this time it was Miroku's turn to snap. Before Sesshoumaru could respond, both Inuyasha and he turned their heads to a familiar scent.

"Naraku," they said at the same time.

"You two are pathetic," Naraku laughed.

~*~*~*~10 Minutes Earlier~*~*~*~

"Kikyou, my pet," Naraku said to her, "please stay back and let me deal with this on my own."

"No," Kikyou said firmly. "And do not call me your pet," she said, glaring daggers at him.

"I promise I will not kill your beloved Inuyasha," he smirked.

"I do not care about Inuyasha. I will not let you hurt the girl," she replied.

"Why do you care about the welfare of Inuyasha's friends?" he asked her.

"I do not care about them," she said, her voice dripping with venom. "I will not let you harm the innocent child."

"Ah, that girl," he said, smirking once again.

"Yes, that girl," Kikyou said with sarcasm. 'He's so dense,' she thought to herself.

"I promise I will not let any harm come to the child then," he said, looking at her.

"I don't believe, nor do I have any reason to trust you," she snapped.

"I give you my word…" he started.

"The word of a hanyou? That is good for nothing!" she told him.

"What can I do to get you to trust me," he asked her, trying to read her thoughts.

"Nothing," she replied.

"I will give you your soul back," he said calmly. Kikyou immediately looked up at him, then looked down again.

"You cannot give me that," she said, letting her voice be cold.

"I can, and I will. You will be alive again," he told her.

"No," she said again.

"Then I will have to revert to using force," Naraku said to her. "Kanna, bring your mirror," he told the pale girl.

"Hai, Naraku-sama," the girl replied, and held the mirror up to Kikyou.

"You cannot contain all of my souls in that mirror," Kikyou told him, her voice still cold.

"Can't I?" he asked, and then laughed. Kikyou felt her knees give out under her, and she watched as her souls were being sucked out of her, one by one.

"You will never get my soul!" she spat at him, as she felt all of her power being drained. As soon as she said this, Kanna turned away.

"The mirror cannot hold anymore souls," she told her master in a monotone voice.

"Well, she cannot get in my way now," Naraku stated, and walked towards the fighting brothers.

~*~*~*~Present~*~*~*~

"Sesshoumaru…" Naraku said, walking up to the others.

"What the hell do you want, Naraku?!" Inuyasha snapped.

"I want Kagura back, that is all," Naraku smirked.

"You will not get her back," Sesshoumaru responded, receiving puzzled looks from everybody else.

"Why not?" Naraku asked, starting to lose his patience.

"Because, she is in my territory. And for that matter, so are you. I do not take well to trespassers," Sesshoumaru replied calmly.

"You've got some nerve," Naraku spat. Sesshoumaru did not respond, so Naraku took that as an invitation to attack the youkai lord. Naraku sped at Sesshoumaru, lunging at him. Sesshoumaru did not know what had happened, until he hit the ground, and smelt blood…his blood. He looked at the wound, and saw that it was so very close to his heart. The last thing he saw was Sango rushing towards him, followed closely by Kagura and Rin. Sango knelt down by his side, and grasped his hand. That was when everything went dark.

"Sesshoumaru-sama!" Rin said, looking at horror at her 'father'.

"Sesshoumaru…" Kagura whispered, letting a rare tear fall down her cheek. 'This is all my fault,' she thought bitterly. 'Now that bastard will hurt Sango…and she was the only person that ever accepted me…called me a…a…a friend…' Kagura thought. Another tear fell before she regained her composure. "Naraku!" she screamed. "It is me you are after! Leave Sango-chan and Sesshoumaru-sama out of it!"

"Ah, Kagura, I see you want to fight against me…but I hold your heart, remember?" he sneered.

"Hai, you may hold my heart…" Kagura said, but was cut off.

"I will kill your precious 'friends' and then you will return with me," he said, smirking at the outraged look in her eyes.

"No!" she yelled at him. "You shall not harm Sango!" <I'm having too much fun stealing quotes from movies! That was kinda HP btw> Kagura yelled.

"What will you do about it?" he asked her. For a second, he had fear in his eyes, but then regained his composure.

"I will do whatever it takes!" she screamed in his face.

"Will you? I have control over you, remember?"

"You have no power over me," she replied softly. <*sigh* there's another one! Remember 'Labyrinth', by chance? ^_^>

"What?"

"YOU HAVE NO POWER OVER ME!" she yelled at him. This outraged him, but he retreated. He grew a little fearful of Kagura, and her outburst.

Naraku returned to where Kanna stood over Kikyou. "Give her back her souls," he said, not looking at either of them.

"Hai, Naraku-sama," Kanna replied.

"Then return to the castle," he added, and disappeared. Kanna let all of the souls out of her mirror, and Kikyou's soul snatchers quickly captured them, and placed them back into her body. Before Kikyou got all of her souls back, Kanna left the once dead miko.

"Damn that bastard," Kikyou snarled. She then made her way to where Naraku had come from, to make sure that he kept his word, and did not harm the little girl.

"Kikyou?" Inuyasha asked, sniffing the air.

"Who gives a fuck about Kikyou?!" Sango snapped at Inuyasha. Sango's outburst brought everybody's attention towards her.

"What did you say?" Miroku asked, in awe. He had never heard Sango say anything of the sort.

"I said, 'who gives a fuck about Kikyou,' I mean…Sesshoumaru is here dying, and all he cares about is that bitch that came back from hell!" Sango yelled.

"Why do you give a fuck about Sesshoumaru?!" Inuyasha snapped at her, after the shock wore off.

"Because he's dying, you moron!" Sango screamed.

"Inu…Yasha?" the familiar voice came from the woods.

"Kikyou!" Inuyasha rushed to her side.

"Fucking asshole," Sango fumed.

"Sa…Sango?" Sesshoumaru asked her weakly. Sango looked down, and realized that she had placed his head on her lap, and immediately began to blush.

"Hai," she finally replied. Sesshoumaru closed his eyes again, and his breathing became shallow. He opened his eyes again soon, when he felt something wet drop on his face. 'It's not raining…' he thought to himself, and when he looked up, he saw Sango looking over him, her eyes filled with tears. 'Why is she crying?!' he asked himself, but he had no strength to ask her, and soon, slipped back into unconsciousness.

A/N: I hope you liked it. I know it's pretty mushy and such…but I will change that soon. Otherwise, the story will end in like two chapters…and I don't want that! So I will have to think of some good twists to put in the story! If anybody has any suggestions, feel free to tell me! ^_^ oh, and sorry for going crazy with the movie quotes…I'm bored, hyper, and slightly tired…not a good mix, especially when you're trying to be serious!
