InuYasha Fan Fiction ❯ Emotions ❯ Bad Shippou! ( Chapter 8 )
Disclaimer: I'm running out of creative things to do for my disclaimers! Ah well. You know the drill.
A/N: I'm disappointed that nobody suspected Shippou! I set him up for it! *sigh* Ah well!
Chapter 9: Bad Shippou!
Sesshoumaru walked into the castle to find Rin and Sango missing, and Kagura knocked out cold on the floor. "Kagura?" Sesshoumaru asked, not letting his worry appear through his features. Kagura stirred a little before opening her eyes and seeing Sesshoumaru.
"GET AWAY FROM ME!" she screamed, cowering back into the bedroom. Sesshoumaru could not help but let the shock of her words appear on his facial expression.
"What do you mean? Where is Sango and Rin?!" he asked, starting to get a little panicked, and doing a bad job of hiding it.
"You kicked Sango out! And only the Gods know what you did to Rin!" Kagura cried out.
"I kicked Sango out…but…I would never do that," he said, barely audible.
"Why wouldn't you?" Kagura demanded. Sesshoumaru decided this was a good time as any to wipe all of his emotions away before he revealed something he didn't want to reveal.
"Because…" he said.
"Because?" <déjà vu?> Kagura asked him, her features warming a little, seeing the concern in his eyes. Sesshoumaru turned and left Kagura, not wishing to confess his feelings, especially since he was not sure what they were yet.
'Do I love her? But even if I did, she's human, and taiji, which means she cannot be trusted. It also means that she would probably never be able to love me in return,' he thought walking into his room. The last thought, that Sango probably wouldn't ever love him, made him sad for some reason, and he did not understand why. There was a knock on his door, breaking his train of thought. When he opened it, he expected to see Jakken, but instead he saw Kagura standing there, smiling at him. "What do you want, Kagura?" he asked, his voice no where near as cold as it usually was.

"Sango, I'm so glad that you have come back!" Kagome told her friend. They were in the hot springs relaxing and chatting about what had happened lately.
"Me too, but I do miss Kagura and Sesshoumaru," Sango replied. She looked at her friend with a longing look.
"Do you…do you love him?" Kagome asked Sango, looking at her skeptically.
"He's not that bad of a guy! I mean, sure he's a youkai…and Inuyasha's hated half-brother…but there is something about him. I always feel safe when I'm near him. I even think that that little Rin girl has helped warm his heart," Sango told Kagome.
"Inuyasha kind of feels like you will betray us for his brother…" Kagome said, not wanting to say it, but the thought had been bugging her all day.
"I would never betray you guys! You're the first real friends I've ever had!" Sango exclaimed, not believing what she was hearing. "Besides, Sesshoumaru would not make me betray you guys," she added, almost to herself.
"How can you be so sure?" Kagome asked.
"Why are you saying this? I don't harp on you about Inuyasha, do I?!" Sango was almost yelling. "I finally become happy and make some new friends, and it turns out you guys hate all of them!" Sango felt a tear slide down her face.
"Kagura is Naraku's detachment and Sesshoumaru had done some horrible stuff to Inuyasha!" Kagome said, trying to defend herself and the rest of the gang.
"Kagura couldn't help it! She didn't ask to be born! He holds her heart in his hand, and if she betrays him, he'll kill her! She only wants to be freed from him!" Sango's voice rising in volume.
"So why hasn't he killed her yet?! Maybe that's what she wants you to think!" Kagome sighed.
"Maybe it's because he has a plan on how to make her miserable without killing her! Dieing is the easy way out!" Sango was still yelling, letting out all of her frustration.
"Perhaps…but what about Sesshoumaru!" Kagome was almost whispering.
"What about him?! How would you feel if your father cheated on your mother, causing your mother to kill herself, and then having to live with another woman! On top of that, they have a son, and your father loves him more than you…you're nothing to your father!" Sango defended Sesshoumaru. 'I will defend him…always…' she thought.
"What do you mean?" Kagome asked, her eyes widened.
"Inuyasha doesn't know the whole truth! He's only told us what he knows! He can never understand how Sesshoumaru feels!" Sango cried. She didn't want to cry, but then again, she couldn't help it.
"I'm…I'm sorry, Sango-chan," Kagome apologized, then got out of the hot springs. "I'll be back at camp," she told Sango softly.
"I just want to go back to them…they were so kind to me, never saying anything bad about my other friends," Sango said, after Kagome left. Kagome heard her comment, and found herself crying. 'Why did I say those things? I hurt Sango so much!' she thought, and ran off into camp.
~*~*~*~
"Why should we go look for Sango? She's probably with my selfish half-brother and his gang of friends," Sesshoumaru said downheartedly.
"Because you love her! And there is no use denying it, because I know you do!" Kagura said to him softly, then winked. "Plus, I know she likes you too."
"She does?" Sesshoumaru seemed a little happier about that, but then wiped his emotions away. "Fine, let's go." Kagura sighed. 'I wish he didn't act so cold all the time,' she thought.
"We need to find Rin too," Kagura said as an afterthought.
"Who was the imposter?" Sesshoumaru asked her, knowing what the answer would be.
"I don't know, he transformed after I was knocked out, remember?" she said to him with sarcasm.
"Hai," was all he said before calling upon Jakken to fetch Ah and Un. "We will be traveling to find my brother," Sesshoumaru explained to the toad.
"But why?" Jakken whined.
"It is none of your business, Jakken," Sesshoumaru snarled. 'Damn that toad is fucking annoying,' he thought to himself. 'If he was not able to control the 'Staff of Heads' then I would have killed him long ago.'
"Hai, Sesshoumaru-sama," Jakken replied, and got Ah and Un.
"Jakken, I want you to watch over the castle while we are away," Sesshoumaru said, getting on the dragon beast, Kagura behind him.
"Hai," Jakken said, reluctance in his voice. With that, Ah and Un took off, flying to where Sesshoumaru sensed Inuyasha.

"Kouga! Kouga! Slow down!" Ginta said, trying to catch up with his fearless leader <a/n: well…that's what they think… ^_^ no offense, I love Kouga!>.
"Yeah, Kouga! We can't run that fast!" Hakkaku panted.
"I sense something, and it's heading towards Sango," Kouga said, barely looking over his shoulder.
"Sango?" the two asked in surprise.
"Hai, Sango," Kouga said, not turning around. "Now shut up! We are going to help her! Even if she is with Dog-shit," Kouga said the last part under his breath.
"What about Kagome?" Ginta asked his companion.
"I don't know! Maybe she chose Doggy-boy," Hakkaku said, pondering the thought. Kouga felt like tearing his two followers apart, but did not give into the urge. 'They do not know. They don't know how it feels to be rejected…for a hanyou!' Kouga thought bitterly. 'At least Sango would not reject me, even if we are only friends,' he thought, smiling at the thought of Sango.
"So, Kouga, are you going to ask Sango to be your mate?" Ginta asked, letting curiosity get the better of him <a/n: you know what they say about the cat, right? Poor Ginta!> Kouga whipped around and was glaring at Ginta. He felt a growl escape from his chest, and he was trying hard not to rip the terrified wolf youkai limb from limb.
"Why are you so mad?" Hakkaku asked Kouga <a/n: *sigh* some people…er...youkai are stupid, huh?>, which got Kouga to turn his back on Ginta and face Hakkaku.
"If you don't mind," Kouga snarled, "I do not wish to discuss this with you. So let's get going!" he yelled.
"HAI!" the two wolves exclaimed, glad that they were not going to be punished. After a good hour or two of running, Kouga stopped, noticing that Ginta and Hakkaku were no longer following him. He turned around to see a woman with a bow and arrow, ready to shoot Ginta.
"What are you doing?" he growled as the woman started to turn around. "K…Kagome?" he asked in awe. The woman's eyes flashed in anger, and she immediately turned to aim her arrow at Kouga.
"You know Kagome?" she asked in a cold voice.
"H…hai…" Kouga said, staring at the strange woman. "Who the fuck are you?!" he asked.
"I am the priestess, Kikyou, protector of the Shikon no Tama!" Kikyou replied.
"LIES!" Kouga snarled. "Kagome is the protector of the sacred jewel!" he was glaring at the woman, and realizing that he really didn't like her.
"I was the protector first!" she snapped. "That bitch is nothing more than my reincarnation!"
"Don't talk about Kagome that way!" Kouga growled in warning. He would not tolerate anybody talking about Kagome like that, whether she was his or not.
"Why? Does the wolf have a crush on her?" Kikyou smirked. Kouga was becoming furious, and got in an attack stance, ready to kill this woman.
"Kikyou?" a voice asked. Kikyou whirled around to find Shippou.
"Shippou? What are you doing?" the miko hissed at the pup.
"Looking for you, stupid," Shippou growled. Kouga had a confused look on his face, but the two did not seem to notice. "Inuyasha will be coming here any minute to find you!"
"Good. That's what Naraku wanted," Kikyou spat.
"No, not like this! You fucking idiot!" the kitsune yelled at her. "You're so stupid!"
"Kikyou?" a voice asked, but it was not the voice they were expecting to hear. "Shippou? Kouga? What's going on here?" the girl asked, stepping into the light.
"Sango! Run!" Kouga ordered, running over to her, in case she would not listen. He wanted to protect her at all costs, even if that meant his own life.
"Ah, Sango!" Shippou said in a slightly monotone voice. He then proceeded to transform into Sesshoumaru. "Look familiar?" he smirked, raising his clawed hand up, as if to backhand somebody.
"SHIPPOU! It was you?!" Sango yelled out in surprise.
Okay, the end of another chapter! Woohoo! *Sigh* I kind of know what I want to happen, but I'm not completely sure! Okay! Right now, I have this leaning either towards a Kouga/Sango fic or a Sesshy/Sango fic. Which would you, my lovely reviewers, rather see? I'll keep this going for a couple of chapters, and then whoever has the most votes….you guessed it: WINS! ^_^ okey-day, get to reviewing! :=) ~Kaida
