A/N: Okay…I swear there won't be like anymore flashbacks in this chapter! I'm not sure how much fluff either…I'm just kinda writing as I'm going…hehehehe, but anywho! We'll see where this goes, eh? ^_^ Thanks to all my lovely reviewers out there!

Chapter 15: Power

"Naraku?" a voice called out hesitantly, and in an emotionless whisper.

"Kanna," was the only reply the albino youkai got. Kanna stood in front of Naraku, holding up her mirror, so Naraku could see all the damage that was being caused. After a long silence from her master, he finally questioned her. "Who is powerful enough to do this?" he demanded, anger flashing in his eyes.

"Naraku-sama, I have been told from Kikyou-sama that the young kitsune seems to be wreaking havoc upon this group," Kanna said in a dull voice. Naraku slightly winced while listening to the girl.

"And what of Kagura?" he finally asked after some thought.

"She is returning to us," Kanna said. If Naraku hadn't known better, he would have said there was a slight bitterness in the youkai's voice.

"Thank you, Kanna," Naraku finally said, waving for the girl to leave. After a few moments of silence, he called for Kikyou.

"Miroku-sama?" Kagome asked the houshi that was sitting next to her.

"Hai, Kagome-sama?" Miroku asked softly. Kagome giggled slightly before responding.

"First…would you stop calling me 'Kagome-sama'?" she asked him with a shy smile.

"Only if you stop calling me 'Miroku-sama' or 'Houshi-sama'," Miroku replied slyly. In response he got some more giggles from the beautiful girl next to him. "What did you want to ask me, Kagome?" he asked her curiously.

"What are you thinking about?" Kagome asked, not looking at him, but keeping her eyes trained on the beautiful sunset they were watching together.

"I was thinking about all of the beautiful things that have been surrounding me lately," Miroku said softly. Kagome blushed slightly, and was about to reply, but her cheeks grew even more red, most likely in anger.

"You really should learn to keep your hands to yourself," Kagome huffed after she smacked the man upside the head.

'Her hits have become softer…perhaps she's warming up to me,' Miroku thought with a smug grin. 'Soon, she won't complain about it…I'm sure…' and he let his thoughts trail off, most of which contained the beautiful girl from the future which was currently sitting beside him.

'Damn, fucking, stupid, OW!' Kouga thought irritably. 'THAT FUCKING HURT! Stupid dog-shit!' he thought bitterly. Inuyasha was currently sparring with Kouga, and had indeed improved on his sword technique. 'When the hell did he get so good?' Kouga wondered. 'Probably when Kagome rejected him,' he added as an afterthought. 'Now he knows how I fucking feel. Not once…no! But twice! And both to fucking dogs!' Kouga growled, and launched himself at Inuyasha again.

'I almost pity the wimpy wolf,' Inuyasha thought wistfully. 'Now I know how he feels every time Kagome turned him down and such…but he fucking deserved it! He treated her like shit…but…so have I. But lately, I've been nothing but good to her! WHY?!' he demanded to himself. "Kouga…" Inuyasha began, but stopped when he saw the wolf launch himself at him. "Stupid wolf," Inuyasha commented dryly, avoiding the attack, and nearly cutting off the wolf's tail. ((AN: NO!!! NOT THE TAIL!!!)) Kouga growled, and got ready to launch at the hanyou again, when he caught a familiar scent.

'I'M GONNA KILL THAT FUCKING BASTARD!' Kouga raved. With that thought, he left Inuyasha standing in the clearing, looking at the trail of dust that was Kouga.

"Where the hell did he go?" Inuyasha wondered.

"Everything is falling into place! Soon, Naraku will learn his place…I will have my pet serve me willingly…and Inuyasha will die! Then, I will pose as Inuyasha, and kill Miroku, seemingly out of jealousy. Kagome will be furious, and will hate the hanyou, and not know any different, as she watches the new love of her life die, and then be killed by the hands of her old love," he thought with an evil smirk. ((AN: So…how many people did I confuse there? I know I got freaking confused!))

'There you are…you bastard!' Kouga thought with a snarl. Unfortunately, the kitsune could smell the wolf, and spun around.

"Ah…Kouga, my friend! How would you like your voice back? And while we're at it…the woman you love in your arms, and not those of the dog?" the kitsune asked the wolf. Kouga stopped abruptly, then growled at him.

'I REFUSE TO ACCEPT ANY OFFER HE MAKES ME! He is just full of fucking bullshit!' Kouga ranted in his head.

"I see…you refuse," the kit said dryly. "Perhaps I will kill you now…then I won't have to worry about you later," he said calmly.

'I'd like to see you try…you bastard! You hurt Sango! I will KILL you!' he thought. The kit started to approach the wolf, but stopped dead when he caught the scent of a certain little girl. He spun around to find himself face to face with Rin.

"HOW THE HELL DID YOU GET THERE?!" the kitsune demanded, his heart beating wildly.

"For me to know…but I suppose you'll never find out," Rin whispered, raising her hand. Her hand started to glow a golden color, and Kouga and the kitsune had to shield their eyes from the intensity of the light. "Release the spell you put on Kouga-kun and Sango onee-chan," Rin demanded.

"And if I don't?" the fox smirked.

"I'll kill you," the girl replied.

"Mighty big words for such a little girl," the kitsune said calmly. Rin readied herself, and let a blast of the energy go towards the fox. The kitsune barely dodged, and glared at the little girl. "What the fuck are you?!" he demanded. Rin just looked at the fox with blazing red hair and intense green eyes. He seemed to be in his twenties, and would have been handsome, if not for the evil aura and glint in his eyes.

"Rin's a sorceress," was his only reply from the girl. She readied her hand, and was about to let out another burst of the golden energy, but stopped when she realized that the fox was gone. Kouga slowly looked around, and assessed the damage. When he saw the entire area that Rin had released her energy into was reduced to ashes, he gasped. Rin looked at him shyly, then sent out a wave of healing energy, causing the foliage to come back to life, and calming Kouga's frayed nerves. "Rin is sorry, Kouga-kun," Rin said softly, looking anywhere but in the curious wolf's eyes. Kouga slowly nodded, then scooped up the little girl, and ran as fast as he could back to the clearing where he had left Inuyasha.

'May as well return. Thanks to this little girl, I may live another day,' he thought, and his eyes softened when he looked down at the little girl.

AN: okay…another chapter done! I would write more…but that's all I can think of. Sorry, no Sango/Sesshy in this chapter…but I'm not quite sure what I wanna do with them yet. *sigh*

NEXT CHAPTER: Who is the mysterious kitsune? <If you really don't know…OMG!> Will Sesshy ever show his true feelings for Sango? WHAT THE HELL IS HOLDING THOSE TWO BACK?! <Besides the fact that Sango can't exactly talk…> What of our poor Inuyasha , and his cute drooping ears??? WILL I FINALLY CATCH VASH SO I CAN PLAY WITH HIS HAIR?! Um………………………… 230;…oooooooooooooops…*laughs nervously* That's my own little fantasy there…although Sesshy's hair is prettier…but still!!! VAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAASH!!!

Hey people! I'm sorry, I was doing good with updating a lot, but then it all kind of died. I've got a lot going on, now that finals are gonna start, and then there's Christmas, and I will be out of town for awhile during the holiday, so I won't be able to update then. Plus, there's the total lack of inspiration. Stupid muse always leaves me! BAH! But anyways…I don't have the slightest clue what to do now…I want to keep Sesshoumaru in character…but I'm obviously failing at that. I also want more angst, which I have an idea for that…but bah! Then I go and read other peoples' fics, and they're all good…and I'm like, 'that's a good idea!!! But I can't use it…damnit!' Also, I'm hoping nobody is really expecting a lemon…I suck at those…

BUT ANYWHO! I've whined enough now, so I'll go and find some pocky to munch on while listening to 'Wonder Boy' by Tenacious D, 'Dead Puppies' by Stephen Lynch, and the Cheer's Theme song (you know…the one! "Sometimes you want to go, where everybody knows your name, and they're always glad you came; you want to be where you can see, our troubles are all the same; you want to be where everybody knows your name."), over and over again.
