AN: I'm back, finally! I have absolutely no inspiration for either of my fics…so yay filler chapters! Eck…not…Anywho! I think Sesshy and Sango need another 'moment' in this chapter…and there will most likely be a character death…but who? Oh well, I guess we'll all figure it out when we get there, huh? Okay, on with the story!

Chapter 17: I'm Lost Without You

She woke up with a start, her heart racing. 'What was that?' she wondered, going over the scenes from her dream. She remembered being held by somebody…but could not figure out who it was for the life of her. All she could see was a wisp of sliver hair. He held her tight in his arms, and whispered comforting things that she could not hear or understand. She knew that she was crying…something that she never did. Why would a woman such as herself cry?

She realized that she really wanted to feel that again…be held like that again…be loved like that again. 'Who are you, my silver haired mystery man?' she pondered. Then realization hit her.

"Inuyasha…" was the only sound that could be hear in the small room.

"I wonder where Kagura went," Inuyasha muttered to himself, feeling the wind in his face. He was still running through the woods, and it had already calmed him down greatly. 'I shouldn't do this to myself again,' he thought, silently berating himself. 'I've already been hurt by two women who I loved more than life itself…and now…here I am, falling for a youkai who is probably even more repulsed by me.'

He kept running until he could smell a familiar scent, and heard a single word come floating to his sensitive ears. The Wind carried a feminine voice whispering his name, and his eyes widened. He almost tripped over a tree branch before he regained himself. "Kagura?" he asked aloud. He ran towards the woman's scent, and came to a hut of sorts that was just beyond what appeared to be Naraku's castle thing. He slowed to a walk, and stepped towards the door of the hut.

The door flew open when he was just about to reach out for the handle…and there stood Kagura.

Kagura?" he began hesitantly.

"Inuyasha, what are you doing here?" she asked him quietly, not sounding like herself.

"Kagura…why are you here? Were you working for Naraku the whole time?" he demanded, not even bothering to answer her question.

"No! Inuyasha…please believe me…I never meant to hurt you…any of you…but Naraku holds my heart…if I disobey him…he will surely kill me…" Kagura explained in a hushed voice. She looked around nervously, and then her eyes widened. "Shit!"

"Wha--" Inuyasha was cut off by Kagura dragging him inside her hut, and pressing her lips on his to make sure he stayed quiet. Inuyasha was too stunned to say or do anything. After he got over his initial shock, he realized what was going on…kind of. He realized that Kagura was kissing him…even though he didn't know why…and he wasn't about to let this chance pass him by.

Inuyasha attentively ran his tongue over Kagura's bottom lip, causing her to gasp slightly, and bring her full attention to the hanyou. Inuyasha took no time taking advantage of Kagura's gasp, and gently pushed his tongue into the woman's mouth. Kagura slowly closed her eyes, and let herself be overwhelmed by the hanyou's kiss. After what seemed like forever, they broke the kiss, gasping for air (which is highly overrated).

"Wow…" Inuyasha commented, and Kagura smiled at him. Inuyasha's breath caught at seeing Kagura smile at him…something that didn't happen too often.

"Did you even realize that Naraku was right outside of my hut?" she whispered to the hanyou, and watched in amusement as his eyes bugged out.

"Is that…was that why you…"

"Sort of…" Kagura admitted sheepishly.

"Sort of?"

"I…uh…" before she could say anymore, a voice sounded in her mind. 'Kagura, I know the hanyou is in there with you. You will finish him off now…' he said, and she felt an awful pain in her chest where her heart should have been. She gasped in pain and doubled over.

"Kagura!" Inuyasha exclaimed, although not risking anything above a whisper. Kagura let a single blood red tear trickle down her cheek before looking up at Inuyasha.

"Gods…I'm so sorry Inuyasha," she whispered to him.

'I wonder where Sesshoumaru is…' Sango wondered to herself. 'I also wonder when I'll be able to talk again.' Sango sat, staring into the camp fire, with Kouga on one side of her, and Rin on the other side. Miroku and Kagome had excused themselves a while ago, and had yet to come back. She also realized that Inuyasha had been gone for almost half of the day now. Unfortunately, Rin was quiet, and since neither Kouga or Sango could talk, they all fell into a silence that was neither comfortable or uncomfortable.

"I'm a genius!" Shippou exclaimed to nobody in particular. "Why didn't I think of it before?! All I have to do is swipe their memories, then they can talk, and then, nobody will even think of questioning me again! Brilliant! Bloody brilliant! Why the hell didn't I think of it before?" he wondered in amusement.

"Because you're a pathetic kitsune," a cold voice said behind him. The kit spun around in time to see the ugliest bug youkai thing he had ever seen attack him, and dodged it with practiced ease.

"What the hell are you suppose to be?" he demanded, glaring at the other youkai.

"I am another detachment of Naraku," the bug stated proudly. "I have been ordered to come here and destroy you," it added.

"Oh…so Naraku found me out? I suppose I will have to have a little chat with Kikyou…and then I will destroy Naraku once and for all. He keeps interfering with my fucking plans!" Shippou exclaimed. He then charged at the bug youkai, and with one swipe of his claws, tore it to shreds. "Pathetic," he hissed. "Now I need to move on to part two of my plan. He started muttering a spell under his breath, then grinned after he finished. "Good, now that stupid wolf and Ningen won't be a problem," he stated in a smug voice.

"Now for Naraku…" he said, a malicious glint in his eyes.

Sango noticed the taiyoukai walk into the clearing, and she stood up and smiled at him. He started walking towards the woman who currently held his heart, and noticed her eyes glaze slightly. Soon, he was holding her in his arms, looking her over, his eyes showing his worry. 'What happened?' he asked himself. He looked over to Kouga, who had also fallen unconscious…and his head was laying in Rin's lap.

Thirty minutes later, Kagome and Miroku returned to camp, and noticed Sango and Kouga were unconscious. "What happened?" Kagome asked, going towards Rin to inspect Kouga.

"They both fell unconscious when I entered the clearing," Sesshoumaru stated, his voice cold as ice.

"How odd," Miroku commented, looking the two over.

"Where am I? Who am I? Why do I feel that I should know these people?" the woman asked, looking at the people in front of her. She could see body laying across a very handsome man's lap. The man had beautiful silver hair, and stunning golden eyes. "Why does he look so familiar? And why does my soul hurt when I see him?" she wondered aloud. "I don't understand what is going on…oh Gods…my head hurts! And this is a dream…I'm sure this will be a long day…" she concluded, before realizing that she was being pulled towards the body.

AN: WOW!!! ANOTHER CHAPTER! YAY! ^_^ and it is 1,225 words long, not including all the AN, disclaimer, and title shit…I'm so happy!!! Okay…so next chapter…we'll find out what happened to Inuyasha…we'll find out if Shippou really is a genius or a dunderhead (that's such a cool word!!!). I know I said that there would be a character death…but I lied, sorry. I was gonna do it…but I didn't. Sorry. I'm sure not too many people will mind if I kill this character off…but I don't care! It's still a character death, so NYAH! =P Okey… I'll shut up now. Please review! I'll be so happy, and I will give you all cookies! COOKIO!
