InuYasha Fan Fiction ❯ Emotions ❯ Secrets Revealed ( Chapter 18 )

[ Y - Young Adult: Not suitable for readers under 16 ]

AN: This is gonna be so sad!!! At least for me, anyways. *Sniffle* Oh, and I'm gonna say that Kikyou was 18 when she died, okey? Eh…and there is one part that I must clear up since I have totally changed things from what I originally planned. In the last chapter, I had Kikyou say "Kagome's soul has helped me to move past that," and well…that doesn't quite work anymore…so ummmm…let's just pretend that it says "Kagome has helped me to move past that." Does that work? ^_^

Disclaimer: Ummmm...*looks around room*…nope, Inuyasha isn't hiding here…and I don't own him…but if he was hiding here….*grins*…

Chapter 19: Secrets Revealed

He stumbled towards her, blood mussing up his graceful appearance. "You stupid bitch, I wouldn't have done that if I were you," he muttered, his voice harsh.

"I would rather die than serve anybody, especially the likes of you!" she sneered, glaring at the youkai.

"Too bad, my pet," he whispered huskily. "Either way I will have you."

"Never! Even if you do take my body, you can never have my soul!" she cried out, a hint of despair in her voice.

"Not that you even have all of your soul, bitch. It's in Kagome," he sneered. She smiled slightly, a sad sort of smile.

"That is where you are wrong. Kagome is not my reincarnation…she is the descendant of the young child, who, in turn is my daughter. The part of her soul that I held, I never needed…in fact, it has already returned to her. When I was in that cave with her, where my souls tried to leave me…her soul returned to her. Nobody shares a soul with me…my soul is no longer with me though…only some of it. The rest is residing in Limbo, awaiting for the rest of its return, so the higher beings can decide if I will go to the Heavens or the Hells," she said wistfully.

"You have a daughter?" the man demanded.

"Yes…she is, shall I say, unique? She is not human, it would not be possible," Kikyou said softly.

"Then how! You are not mated," he snarled, growing angrier by the minute.

"No…after he used me…he abandoned me, and he took my child," she replied, her smiling growing more sad by the second, and tears forming in her eyes.

"So what is she?"

"She is a demigod."

"A demigod?" the kitsune growled.

"It's true…when I left Inuyasha for my 'human' lover, it was a god…although I was not his lover by my will," she whispered, her first tear in over fifty-three years falling down her cheek.

"So you were raped?" he asked, forgetting about his wound.

"That is correct," she replied, looking away in shame. He sneered at her.

"Looks like you will have to live that day over again, then," he muttered, barely audible to her. Her head immediately snapped up. "But first, what is the name of the child?" he demanded.

"I will never tell you!" she cried out, slowly reaching for another arrow. "And I will never allow you to touch her," she whispered.

"Wow…where am I?" Kouga asked, looking around. He only woke up moments earlier, and was in frantic frenzy when he first woke up, not really listening to anything that anybody was telling him. Finally, Rin had calmed him down enough so that he would actually listen to what Miroku and Kagome were trying to say to him.

"Kouga-san," Rin whispered, looking up at the wolf, her eyes pleading. "You don't remember me?" she asked quietly.

"I…I'm sorry kid…I wish I could. I feel like I should know you…yet…I don't remember anything," he said with a sigh. The little girl nodded slightly, and threw her arms around his waist. The wolf youkai returned the hug, and let an affectionate smile play across his lips. 'Why do I feel so close to this little girl?' he wondered.

"Ka…Kagome?" Sango asked quietly. Kagome immediately spun around, and looked at her friend.

"Sango-chan?"

"Kagome…is that your name?" Sango asked quietly.

"H-hai!" Kagome cried out.

"Do you remember?" Miroku asked her. The girl gave him an odd look before answering.

"That is what you called her, is it not? And she called you 'Miroku'," Sango replied. Both Miroku and Kagome had crestfallen looks.

"I forgot about that," Kagome muttered, her eyes on the ground.

"I'm sorry," Sango whispered. She felt something fuzzy near her, and unconsciously ran her hands through it. Soon, she was leaning onto Sesshoumaru's shoulder, and he gave her a tiny smile, meant only for her eyes.

'At least she feels safe near me. And what the hell is it with everybody petting my pelt?' his eyes narrowed slightly at the thought.

"I'm scared Inuyasha," Kagura whispered.

"Why?"

"Because…what if he's not dead…what if its like last time, and its all some sort of trick?" she replied {AN: reference to the second Inuyasha movie}.

"I think he really is dead this time," Inuyasha replied, smiling down at her.

"Gods, I hope so," she said, snuggling a little closer to his warmth. They sat together, enjoying each other's company. For awhile neither said anything, just lost in their own thoughts. Finally, Inuyasha broke the silence.

"Kagura, I was thinking--" but he was cut off by a bloodcurdling scream that was filled with pain and anguish.

"Please don't!" Kikyou begged, taking another step away from the kitsune.

"That's right…beg for me, bitch," Shippou sneered, taking a step closer.

"No! Just leave me alone! Kill me! Just kill me!" she cried out.

"Not before I have my fun with you," he sneered. Her eyes widened slightly, and she took another step backwards, but found her back pressed against a wall of a hut.

"Oh Gods…no…" she whispered, all color draining from her face. Shippou stalked her like she was his prey, and soon, he was close enough to pounce her.

"That's right bitch…I must punish you for what you've done to me," he whispered, his voice slightly raspy from his lust.

'What's wrong with me? Why won't any of my spiritual powers work?' Kikyou questioned, growing more nervous by the second. 'I…I can't defend myself!' she realized.

"What's wrong? Can't defend yourself?" Shippou asked, as if reading her mind. Soon, he was upon her, and he kissed her forcefully. When she would not allow him entrance into her mouth, he forced his tongue in, and she bit it, causing him to bleed in her mouth. He pulled away with a yelp of pain, and glared at her. "You bitch!" he yelled in her face, slapping her hard. Her head stayed turned, and she spit out the blood that was still in her mouth. "You'll pay for your insolence," he sneered. With that last comment, he punched his hand through the woman's stomach, making her scream out in pain and anguish. "Now, you can die slowly," he whispered, kissing her again, and letting his hands run all over her body. When he caught the scent of Inuyasha and Kagura, he dropped Kikyou to the ground. "See you in Hell, my pet," he whispered, and was gone.

"Kikyou?" Kagura gasped, rushing towards the fallen miko.

"K…Kagura," Kikyou whispered, wincing at the pain. "Please…please take care of my daughter," she whispered.

"Daughter?" Inuyasha asked, looking at the dying miko.

"Inuyasha…I'm sorry…I never told you…I never had a human lover…I only loved you. But after he…after he did that to me…and then took my daughter away from me…I never thought I could trust anybody again," she said breathily.

"Shhh! Don't talk," Kagura commanded, laying Kikyou's head in her lap.

"I won't live beyond today…so I will say what I need to," Kikyou whispered, a few tears streaking down her pale cheeks. "Tell Kagome that she is not my reincarnation…she is actually one of my descendants. She already got her soul back a long time ago…when we were in that cave together. I'm sorry I…tried to kill you…and her," Kikyou whispered, her voice becoming softer each second. "…never meant to betray you…tell my daughter I'm sorry, and that…I love her very much…" she trailed off, her eyes closing.

"Who's your daughter, Kikyou?" Inuyasha questioned, his eyes softening.

"Rin," was the only word that came out of her mouth. "She's a demigod…tell her…" she muttered. She opened her eyes one last time, and smiled sadly at Kagura and Inuyasha.

"Kagura…you're the only friend I…really had…here…and Inuyasha…love you…always and forever…" she whispered, the her body turned to ash and bones in Kagura's hands. The wind youkai stared at her hands, and let tears run down her cheeks. Inuyasha also watched, with tear filled eyes.

"I'm sorry Kikyou. We'll protect Rin…" Inuyasha whispered, dropping to his knees beside Kagura. The youkai turned into Inuyasha's embrace, and sobbed into his shoulder.

Rin shot up with a cry, and was sobbing hysterically. "Rin, what's wrong?" Kagome asked her, trying to sooth the little girl.

"Mother…" Rin whispered, tears streaming down her face. "Mother died…."
