AN: Ah...somebody commented on me saying '*BOOB*' in my AN at the end of the last chapter...and that was meant to happen...don't worry. It's kind of an inside joke...all I have to say is it came from the halftime show from the Super Bowl. Also...people keep asking about the pairings...I think I've stated them in the summary, and in quite a few of my author notes. I'm sorry if my story is confusing people...ummmmmmm...I'd try to clear it up...but I'm not sure where I'm losing them -_-'... I guess I can give a brief synopsis?

- Okay, so it starts out that Sango is upset (for pretty much no reason at all...but oh well...maybes she's PMS-ing).

- She leaves the group, and finds Kagura injured. When her friends refuse to help Kagura, they leave, and bump into Sesshoumaru.

- Then, we find out Shippou (yes...cute and innocent Shippou) is actually evil, and he takes the form of Sesshoumaru to get Sango to leave.

- Sesshoumaru comes back and is pissed, finding Rin and Sango gone...and Kagura hurt.

- Sango becomes close with Kouga (who kind of falls for her...but her heart is with somebody else).

- Um....Inuyasha and Kagome have admitted their feelings.

- Shippou is getting mad, and decided to screw everybody over some more. He captures Kouga and Sango, and tries to get Kikyou to do his bidding by holding Rin hostage (Kikyou's weak spot).

- His plans are foiled...and so he takes Sango and Kouga's voices so they won't rat him out.

- Rin is thought to be dead...but comes back, and tells them that she is a Sorceress...but she's not. She can hear Sango in her mind...but they decide not to tell everybody what's going on...(did I explain why?)

- Sesshoumaru realizes his feelings for Sango...but he won't tell her yet.

- Inuyasha is mean to Kagome, making her cry and such...but it's not him...it's really Shippou in disguise (I don't think I said that earlier...)

- Kagome and Miroku fall in love...blah blah blah.

- Inuyasha and Kagura fall in love...but Kagura can't be with him because of Naraku...

- Kikyou kills Naraku, and everybody is happy for the time being.

- Shippou decides to give Sango and Kouga their voices back...but they don't remember anything.

- Sesshoumaru reveals his feelings to Sango...but she doesn't know what she feels...(poor things)

- Kikyou thinks she kills Shippou...but she doesn't. He kills her and she reveals that Rin is actually a demigod, and that Rin is her daughter. Also...Rin is Kagome's...great great great (how many greats would it be exactly?) grandmother...

Does that help at all? I think that's about the right order...I would have to reread all of that to know for sure...*sigh*.

Chapter 20: Memories

Inuyasha scooped Kagura up as soon as she fell asleep, and he ran back to Kaede's village. When he got there, he heard the sobs of a little girl. He entered the hut, and saw Rin crying in Sango's arms. "Sango?" he whispered. The girl's head shot up.

"Who are you?" she asked, looking slightly confused. "You look kind of like Sesshoumaru..." she muttered.

"You can talk?" he asked, his eyes widening.

"They can talk...but they don't remember anything," Kagome's voice said from the dark corner.

"Oh..." Inuyasha said, looking back down at Kagura. 'Do I tell them what Kikyou said to me...?' he wondered.

"Inu...Yasha..." Kagura muttered, then opened her eyes. "When did I fall asleep?" she questioned. She looked over to Rin and Sango, and slipped out of Inuyasha's arms. "Sango, how's she doing?" the wind demon questioned.

"Who are you?" Sango asked, her facial expression was one of lost memories. "I feel like I should know you..." she whispered, a tear falling down her cheek. Kagura gasped, and stared at Sango.

"You...you don't remember anything?" she asked. Sango shook her head 'no', and Kagura fell to her knees in front of the human girl. She embraced Sango, who was still holding Rin. "I'll help you remember then," Kagura whispered in Sango's ear. Sango smiled slightly. Kagura let Sango go, and looked back at Inuyasha. "We have to tell them..." Kagura said, and Inuyasha nodded slightly.

"Tell us what?" Miroku asked from the doorway. Behind him was Sesshoumaru, both of them carrying blankets, firewood, and water.

"Everybody sit down," Kagura ordered. After Miroku built a fire, the group sat in a large circle around it. "Kikyou is dead...she's the one who killed Naraku," Kagura started. There were various gasps around the room.

"You mean the clay bitch finally went to hell?" Kagome questioned. Inuyasha growled and glared at Kagome.

"You shouldn't say things like that about your ancestors," he commented dryly. "You have no idea what kind of life she's been through," he said through gritted teeth.

"Ancestor?" Kagome gasped.

"Let me explain," Kagura said, trying to calm Inuyasha down. "When Kikyou was alive...she was raped by a god. They had a lovely daughter...but the god took the girl, and Kikyou was left by herself. She returned to Inuyasha, seeking protection, but somehow their trust was ruined by Naraku. He actually did more to ruin their trust than you know...I have Naraku's memories now...I guess they came to me when he died. Anyways, it took him years to get them to stop trusting each other completely...but they still had trust, just not as much. But that little bit of uncertainty was all he needed," Kagura said, glancing around to see the reactions.

"Please continue," Sesshoumaru said from beside Sango, his hand holding hers, and Rin snuggled in his lap.

"Well...she told us that her child...is Rin..." Kagura whispered, a tear falling down her cheek.

"Rin?" Miroku gasped.

"Yeah...if you look at them...can't you see the resemblance between Kikyou and Rin? And those two and Kagome?" Inuyasha asked. Kagome looked over at Rin, and gawked.

"She's like my great-great-great-grandmother or something..." Kagome muttered.

"That's right," Kagura said, glancing over at the gawking girl.

"So she's not a sorceress?" Miroku questioned.

"Obviously not...if she's a demigod," Inuyasha snorted.

"Who killed Kikyou?" Sango asked, trying to remember something important.

"I think it was Shippou," Kagura whispered.

"WHAT?!" Kagome shrieked.

"Quiet down, damnit!!! Some of us have sensitive ears!" Inuyasha growled.

"Sorry...but Shippou? Are you sure?" she asked, tears forming in her eyes.

"Yeah...I could smell his scent everywhere...and it was especially on her...like he kissed her and touched her," Inuyasha snarled.

"Yes, and the scent of his blood was in her mouth...she must have struggled against him," Kagura added. Sango's eyes widened, and she looked ready to pass out.

"Shippou...why...why? Shippou!" she suddenly stood up, and took off out the door. "You...you caused all this trouble...I'll kill you Shippou!!! DAMNIT, I'LL FUCKING KILL YOU!" Sango screamed, running...but not quite knowing where to go.

Back in the hut, Sesshoumaru stood, getting ready to go after Sango. "She remembers..." he stated, stepping towards the door.

"How do you figure?" Inuyasha asked.

"I will get her, and you can ask her yourself," Sesshoumaru stated. "Take care of Rin for me," he commanded, and handed Rin to his half-brother.

"Does he trust me with her?" Inuyasha marveled.

"He's a changed youkai," Kagura said with a small smile. She squeezed Inuyasha's hand, and the group waited for Sango and Sesshoumaru to return.

Sesshoumaru caught up with Sango quickly, and saw her trip over a tree root. Before she could hit the ground, his arms were around her, holding her tightly against his strong chest. "Sango," he whispered in her ear. Sango blinked out of her enraged state, and relaxed in his hold.

"Sesshoumaru...I remember," she said softly, putting her arms around his waist. "I remember everything," she muttered. Sesshoumaru looked down at the top of her head, and smiled slightly. "It was Shippou..." she was cut off when his finger was on her lips.

"The rest of the group needs to hear this too," he whispered in her ear. She nodded, and smiled slightly.

"Sesshoumaru...I love you," she whispered. Sesshoumaru stared at her for a second before bending his head down to kiss her hungrily.

"Gods Sango..." he muttered after he broke the kiss. "Be my mate?" he asked her softly. She nodded happily, and hugged him tightly.

"But after we get all of this straightened out," she whispered. He nodded, and smiled at her. Her breath caught at his smile. "You should do that more often," she told him, with her own bright smile.

"Only for you," he muttered. He scooped her up in his arms, and took off back towards the hut.

"Sango?" Kagome asked as soon as the couple returned. The older girl smiled at Kagome, and nodded slightly.

"I remember everything now..." Sango said. Everybody stared at her expectantly, so she continued. "When Kouga and I were captured...it was Shippou...he stripped our voices so we couldn't tell anybody what we saw. He was using Rin against Kikyou to get her to do what he wanted...but I don't think he knew what Rin was to Kikyou. Also...Shippou has been shifting his shape, and has taken on the appearance of people randomly to get to us. When I was at Sesshoumaru's castle...he shape shifted into Sesshoumaru," she said. She heard a low growl coming from the taiyoukai, and she looked at him with a soft smile.

"How do you figure he didn't know what Rin was to Kikyou?" Kagome asked her friend.

"Well...Shippou seemed just a surprised as us that Rin was still alive..." Sango explained.

"That's true...but that doesn't mean anything..." Miroku stated.

"It's just an assumption," Sango said, waving the issue off. "I also believe that he took on Inuyasha's form at some point, to separate Kagome and Inuyasha. He figured that if they weren't together, Inuyasha would become weak...especially if Kagome hated him, but it looks like his plan backfired," Sango said with a smile directed towards Inuyasha and Kagura.

"I say we go out and kill this bastard," Inuyasha growled.

"But...it's Shippou! He couldn't do anything like this," Kagome sniffled, not sounding convinced of herself.

"I'm afraid it's true though..." Kouga said. His eyes seemed more clear, and he had a thoughtful look on his face. "I remember it all too, now," he told her.

"Then let's get going," Inuyasha said, and stood up. Sesshoumaru smiled at his brother slightly when he saw that Inuyasha was holding the girl as if she was his own daughter.

'He must have loved her mother very much...'Sesshoumaru thought. He then noticed that Inuyasha seemed to be getting closer to Kagura. 'Maybe Rin would be happier with those two,' he thought, his smile fading slightly. 'I will do whatever to make her happy.' He shook his head, and smirked inwardly. 'These damn humans are making me go soft,' he thought, though no bitterness was in his internal voice.

AN: Wow, another chapter done!!! I'm gonna end this story in about three more chapters or so...after I kill off Shippou...there's not much more I can do...hehehehehe. I have decided that this will be a happily ever after story...since my other one, 'Trials of the Heart' is going to be very sad and all. So, in that case...nobody else will die in here...except for Shippou...and maybe some other random character that I don't like...*cough* Jakken *cough*. Something like that. So yeah, please review and tell me what ya think. Also, do you think that there should be a lemon at all? I can attempt to write one if you guys want one! Hehehehe...if y'all do want one...do you want it between Sango and Sesshoumaru, Miroku and Kagome, or Inuyasha and Kagura? Personally...if I did do one...I think Sango and Sesshoumaru would be the best one...seeing as how they are supposed to be the main characters...hehehehehe. Yeah, so please read and review!
