The ringing in her ears was deafing; the dull throbbing ache in her head reminded her that she'd been too close. It wasn't the first time she'd been too close to an explosion. Strugling up, she found her hands bound with coarse rope behind her, and upon opening her eyes she saw her feet were similairly bound. Minutely turning her head she saw the boy, with moon light hair haloed around his relaxed face. Seeing him brought it all back. She wasn't in a war zone, she was...well she wasn't sure, but it wasn't anywhere familiar.
She needed a plan. She needed to get the hel out of hear, and regroup with her friends. Hopefully they'd be a god distance away. If they weren't at least a mile away she'd give them a tounge lashing that'd blister their ears. She shouldn't have stopped. She would of been fine if only she'd kept going. The cause of this whole mess was begin to rouse. A shaft of bright light temperarly left her sightless, then the dimness retured, and the old wowan stood there.
'What the hell happened?!" Inuyasha bellowed, struggling to free himself.
" Why have ye been revived?" Keade demanded.
"How the hell would i know, ya old hag!"
"And you.' she spoke to Kagome, "Was it you who revived him?"
"I don't know what your talking about" Kagome's tone was as it always was, hard, unemotional. " Why am I being detained? What wronge is it that I'm charged with?"
"What is it you did to my and the others neck? Are you a demon with a magic touch of blackness?"
"Perhapse if you relaes me I'd be more inclined to cooperate."
"Hey! What about me? I want to be untied. Now! And how the fuck did i get here?" Inuyasha broke in.
"Twas the smoke. Then we carried you both here."
"Where exactly is here?'
"Just a simple inland village of Japan," Keada stated ever so helpfully.
Kagome sighed in relief. It was the same place she'd lived since birth. But then how were there trees, these people, this free hybrid? It was like she was like the myths about past, when demons roamed. Ridiculous.
"How long have i been pinned to that tree? When is it?"
"Why it's the time of the warring states."
"The feudle era," Kagome wispered in wondered disbeliefe.
"Is you head broken? You don't know when or where you are,'' Inu yasha snickered.
"No, but you keep it up yours will be."
"Are you threating me!?" he asked, his cheast puffing out, and trying to look as intimadating as possible with bound hands and feet. She laughed, causing him
to struggle anew.
"Tis no use. The binding beads on the rope wont allow escape," Keade explained.
Again I ask: why am i being held here?"
"Why do u reseamble Kikyo so?"
"I have no ideal who that is. So i couldn't tell you."
"Twas my sister. The priestess here. Your apperance...tis similiar."
"Is that why I'm being kept?"
"No. I mearly seek the truth. And prehase your help."
"My help. With?"
"Tis a long story. A crow deamon has stolen the powerful shikon jewel, to put it shortly. On my sister's dieing breath, she shot the bird, shatering the jewel to the four winds. I'd like you to gther them."
"I see. And what of him?" Kagome aske indicating Inuyasha with a tilt of her head.
"Don't concern yourself with me wench." he snapped. hideing the surprise he felt.
"I'll collect these shards," Kagome stated afer some thought. They'd free her, which was quite prefered to being held captive till they decided to kill her. She be able to roam the land looking for her freinds, and to top it off this jewel, if it was all they said it was, might come in handy. " I'll collect it," she reapeated, 'If I'm free. And so is he."
"Alright. He shall help you find the jewel. And to unsure everyones safty we'll put a submission neklace on him."
"What!!?"
"That doesn't sound free."
"Tis simple a precatioun. For you." She told Kagome, sliping a beaded necklace around his neck. " Is it's needed you just say the word of your choice, and he'll be temporarly subdued."
"WHAT THE!? Oh wench, you better get this off me if you know what good for you" he theartened Kagome.
"Oh no. We've been over this. It's Kagome you idiot. Now sit." She said using the first subdueing word she could think of. She stopped breathing when he slammed into the ground though, worried he'd been hurt. She wasn't a violent person, but that didn't matter to anyone.

"Now that you have everything. Release us. We'd like to be on our way."
"Oh yes." She hesitated before approaching Kagome. Slowly she cut her feet free, then moved behind her and freed her hands. They eyed each other as Kagome slowly rubbed her chafterd wrist. Keade did the same for Inuyasha. "now there are many romurs. We'll go over them now at the village dinner, and you can begin tomorrow." She stood walking out. They rose and on silent feet followed her.
