My first instinct was to tell him off. You know act like he is making the whole situation into something that it wasn't. I knew it would make me the bad guy, but it's better then getting involved with him right. He's my boss so I can't do that. So acting like it was a fling and to tell him get over it may work. I couldn't though. When I looked at him, I felt like my heart was going to break. His eyes were so intense, he may have looked indifferent but his amber eyes were telling me he was hurt. So I did what only came natural. I told him the truth.

 

“I'm sorry and I know that doesn't sound much, I just thought that I was the best idea for me to leave. I thought that it would be less complicated if I did that.” I started

 

“So you thought you'd never see me again, huh. Do you have any idea what went through my head when I discovered you gone? Why did you sleep with me in the first place. I know you are not the type to sleep around considering it was you first time. What happened? ” He then asked eager for my answer. I knew his hurt was slowly turning to anger

 

“I'm sorry, I don't know, I was…am attracted to you. I felt something there.” I stammered.

 

Before either of us continued the conversation there was a knock on the door and Kouga came in.

 

“Sorry for being late. I'm not interrupting anything am I? he asked knowing good and well that he was. Inuyasha stood up and eyed up Kouga as if weighing him in some way.

 

“Actually, I was just leaving.” He then looked over at me and said. “There is something there, and I would like to explore it further.” He then nodded to Kouga and walked out.

 

“So I did come at a bad time didn't I” Kouga said later on while we were working.

 

“No not at all, he's my boss.” I said looking through paperwork.

 

“He seemed to me more than just a boss to me.” He replied leaning on his chair glaring at me.

 

“Look, I am having a bad day ok, I don't need you to be…. well you right now.” I said starting to get irritated with him.

 

“What do you mean be me? I have bought you lunch every time we meet. I thought it was a given that we're seeing each other.” He said in full confidence.

 

“What!”

 

“Don't act like you don't know, I have given all the signs. We had dinner twice together!”

 

“With Miroku and Aya! And that was a business dinner.” I made sure that I stayed calm before I did anything I'd regret.

 

“You smell different, It's apparent that your scent changed because you want me.” He replied

 

“You know what, Leave I can't take this. Leave right now Mr. Wolfe before we both say things we will regret.” I said with my back to him hoping that he took the hint.

 

“Oh, I get it. Your having your time of the month. Well see you next week,” He said opening the door. “Hopefully your done PMSing.” He then said purposely so that my co-workers could hear him.

 

Oh yeah I'm sick alright. I went to Miroku's office and told him so, and I left for the day. Sango told me to take a lavender bath. I knew the only medicine for me was kick-boxing.
