Kagome blushed and shook her head, "Well, that was interesting."

Inu Yasha walked through the living room and out the front door. He walked out into the grass and lit a cigarette, "Damn it ....what's gotten into her today?" He glared up at the sky as he felt a rain drop fall onto his face.

Kagome stood up as Inu Yasha's mom went to take the kids upstairs to show them the new toys she got them, and stepped outside, watching Inu Yasha silently from the porch.

Inu Yasha ran a hand over his face as he stood there in the falling rain trying to clear his head. The cool breeze held the scent of lilacs that his mother had planted near the house. Finally, he finished his cigarette and put it out on the ground. He reached back and unbraided his hair, "I don't know how I'm gonna get through this life..." he grumbled to himself as the breeze blew his hair all around him.

Kagome's eyes danced over his tumbling hair and a blush tinted her cheeks as she watched him, and leaned against the side of the house and folded her arms over her chest as the rain soaked her clothes, making it stick to her skin and her damp hair glued to her face.

Inu Yasha decided to go back inside since the rain was now coming down in sheets. He turned to see Kagome watching him from the porch. He walked up to the porch, his shirt drenched and his hair matted to his face and the back of his shirt, "Go in, Kagome, before you get sick."

She shrugged slightly, "I like standing out in the rain."

He shrugged, "Have it your way, Kags." He opened the door and walked into the house, leaving puddles of water as he trudged across the hard wood floors.

She picked up a small pebble and turned around, throwing it at Inu Yasha and pegged him in the head with it.

"Owwww," he turned around picked up the rock, "Okaasan will be mad if she finds your throwing things like this in the house." He tossed the pebble from hand to hand looking at Kagome.

Kagome made a face at him, "And what are you gonna do about it, slowpoke?"

He narrowed his eyes giving her an evil look, "Make a sandwich," he said with a smirk as he turned and walked into the kitchen. "You want anything?"

Kagome yawned and stretched, "Nothing that an undeveloped male like you could give me."

Inu Yasha glared at her, "And what does that mean?"

She smirked, "It means that if you were any tinier you would have to change your name to Sally and start dancing the cancan on Broadway.

"Oi, bitch, where do you get off say stupid shit?!!" He yelled out, "I was being nice, and all you want to be is a bitch..." Inu Yasha's eyes hardened onto her face "What's your problem?!"

Kagome rolled her eyes, "Do you always take everything so damn seriously? It's called baiting banter." She stormed into the living room away from him.

He turned and stomped back into the kitchen and sat down at the table ranting to himself.

Kagome came back to the kitchen and threw a towel at his head, "Sorry."

Inu Yasha pulled the towel off his head and dropped it to the floor as he laid his head down on the table, "Alright...."

She sighed and walked over to him, grabbing the towel and drying off his hair, and rubbing the water out of his clothes, working on his arms and back.

"You don't have to do that Kagome," He said with a yawn.

She looked up at him, "Yes I do, because I am the only who will have to listen to you bitch and whine when you get sick."

He growled, "I don't get sick often."

She rolled her eyes, "I'd rather be safe than sorry."

He ran a hand through his dark hair, "Yes, okaasan...." Inu Yasha said in a sarcastic tone.

Kagome smiled and bopped his head, "Shut up and stand up, baka."

Inu Yasha stood up and looked at her, "What?"

She shook her head and got on her knees in front of him, "Nothing."

A crimson blush came across his face as he looked at her, "Wh...What are you doing?"

She looked up at him then seemed to noticed her position and the blush across his face, and an evil though formed in her mind, "Nothing, just relax," she said softy and leaned closer to him.

Inu Yasha took a step back and found himself against the dinner table, "Ummm, what are you gonna do, Kags?

A soft smile glanced across her features and she reached forward putting her hands on his hips, and scooted closer to him, "It's hard to do this when you keep moving away..."

Inu Yasha's eyes widened as he suddenly found his mouth dry as he opened it to speak. His mouth opened and closed but he wasn't able to utter a word.

Kagome looked at his soaking pants and tugged at a belt loop, "We might have to take these off to get this done..."

Inu Yasha felt his face turn ten shades of red, "K ...Kagome....." He stood there unable to move as he watched her.

Her heart thudded a couple times in her chest but she swallowed it down. She had to keep her head if she wanted to pull this off... Her eyes flicked down to his pants and let her eyes take in ever detail of his pants; not disliking it when she paused over the section directly in front of her face for a moment longer than the rest, then let her eyes drift back up to his. He just stood there in shock not knowing what she was going to do.

Kagome leaned forward closer to him and ran her hand up his thigh, inching it closer and closer to a certain section of his anatomy that she wasn't sure she would be able to bite her embarrassment back enough to touch. "So wet...." She murmured.

Inu Yasha felt his knees give out from under him. He caught himself by grabbing a hold of the table he was pressed against. She trailed her hands over his pants roaming her hand all over them, "I can't do it like this... You need to take your pants off Inu Yasha." She said in a throaty whisper and looked up at him through her wet bangs.

A knot formed in his throat as he looked down at her, 'She looks like Kikyou...oh Gods, does she look like Kikyou,' he felt a fire beginning to build in his stomach as he reached over and unbuttoned his jeans.

Kagome's breath caught in her throat as she watched the proceedings of his hand then raised her eyes back to his. The little plan was backfiring. This was beginning to have a profound affect on her as well. She put her hand on top of his and guided it down, unzipping his pants, her eyes never leaving his.

Inu Yasha closed his eyes a nagging voice in the back of his head was yelling at him, 'don't do this, Kikyou is dead!! What about Kouga?!' He felt his blood began to boil, 'This isn't right!' the voice scolded him.

Kagome sat back on her heels and tugged his pants down and helped him out of them then draped them over her arm, her hair still dripping down her chest, water rivulets running down beneath the taught wet material of her shirt as she looked up at him.

He leaned the most of his weight back onto the table as he opened his eyes to look at her, "What?''

Kagome had to force herself not to blush too much as she looked up into his face, and not to glance back down at his bare legs, "I need to know where the dryer is."

Inu Yasha blinked, "Oh...that's it… down the hall and to the right, that's the laundry room," He unbuttoned his shirt and handed it to her, "Might as well toss that in there, too."

Kagome stood up, her body centimeters away from pressing up against his, so close she could feel the heat radiating off of his body and took his shirt gently, "Thank you."

"I should say thanks your the one who's going to dry my clothes," he said quietly.

A soft blush crossed her features as she studied his face, "It's the least I can do... for the lullaby..." She whispered and raised her eyes to his.

Inu Yasha reached a hand out and brushed the wet hair from her face, "It's no problem..." he pulled his hand back, "Hurry and get those clothes in the dryer, and put yours in there too." He looked across the room at nothing important "There are some clothes in my old room at the top of the stairs; I will get us some to put on while those dry."

Kagome nodded and turned around, walking out of the room.
