Soon after, the plane landed and Kagome got them checked into a hotel. Unfortunately there was only one room available, but it was better than sleeping on the street.

Kagome sat on the bed, tucking Mayu in and kissing her forehead slightly. Mayu smiled up at her and soon drifted off, leaving Kagome to her Scotch and Bacardi that she had swiped from the plane's cabinet, as well as some Ever Clear and Captain Morgan.

Inu Yasha walked out of the hotel bathroom drying his hair with a towel wearing only his jeans. "Now, I feel better," he said as he flopped down in a chair at a small table in the corner of the room.

Kagome looked up from her booze and hiccupped, giggling slightly. "Thirsty?" she asked him, holding up her rum.

He shook his head. "No thanks." He grabbed a bag of Doritos and a Dr. Pepper that he had picked up earlier and began to munch on his snacks as he flipped on the TV.

The girl wrinkled her nose up at him and stumbled to her feet and back to the bathroom. "Pussy," she muttered before closing the door to change.

He rolled his eyes as he flipped through the channels. "Drunk," he mumbled as he took a drink of Dr. Pepper.

Moments later, a small bottle crashed into the back of his skull, and the bathroom door slammed shut, followed by a muffled giggling.

Inu Yasha reached back and rubbed his head. "What the hell?" He brought his hand back around to his face and saw blood on his fingers. "Damn it, Kagome, that hurt!"

Kagome crawled out of the bathroom, a pout on her face. She was wearing an oversized shirt of Inu Yasha's that she had kipped from under his bed before they had left, and her hair was drooping about her face. She inched over to him, and eyed his war wound. Leaning forward she gently pressed her lips against it. "I'm sorry..." she murmured.

He sighed. "Go and get some sleep and don't worry about it."

She wrapped her arms around his neck and laid his head on his shoulder. "But I can't... I worry about you all the time."

He closed his eyes. "I'm right here; I'm not going anywhere, so get some rest."

She sighed and crawled over to the cot that she had gotten from the downstairs since there were only two beds in the room and climbed up into it, rolling over to face the wall.

Inu Yasha growled. "Sleep on the bed with Mayu just in case she wakes up, and besides it would be more comfortable for you."

She grunted. "Mayu kicks like a damn mule, you sleep with her."

"I don't plan on sleeping tonight," he grumbled.

Kagome glanced over her shoulder at him. "Why not?"

"Too anxious, I'm still hyped up from earlier tonight," Inu Yasha said as he popped a Dorito into his mouth his eyes still glued to the TV screen.

She sighed and slid off of the cot and scooted across the floor to settle herself behind him. She reached up and began caressing his shoulder and neck muscles in smooth circular motions.

He leaned his head forward to allow her more access to this tense neck muscles. "I guess the adrenaline is still in my blood," he muttered as he closed his eyes.

"I'm sorry..." she murmured, easing his muscles into a relaxed state before beginning to work her way down his back.

Inu Yasha folded his arms on the table and leaned forward, resting his chin on them. "It is ok; it will go away after a while."

Finally, after a while, she finished his lower back and she leaned forward, nuzzling her cheek against his back her eyes drifting closed. Inu Yasha had fallen asleep while he was getting the back massage and was resting comfortably at the table at which he sat. Kagome listened to his deep breathing and wrapped her arms around his waist before carefully lifting his sleeping body up and helping him into bed. She tucked him in and smiled gently, brushing the hair out of his face. Not taking a moment to think about what she was doing, she leaned down and brushed her lips against his.

Inu Yasha groaned and rolled onto this side, burying his face into the pillow. His long hair spread out across the bed and hanging over the edge as e mumbled in his sleep.

(A/N: denied!!! XD)

She smiled softly and waked over to the cot and lay down, to lose herself in her thoughts for the night.

Inu Yasha woke the next morning to the sunlight shining in his eyes. He pulled the sheet and a pillow over his head as he cursed about the light.

Kagome cracked an eye open at his voice and looked over. She grunted and slammed a pillow over her head, curling up into a ball, willing the night to return.

Inu Yasha's leg hung off the bed as he peeped out from under the pillow over towards Kagome looking to see if she was awake.

A pillow came flying at his head as soon as he looked her way. "Why'd you wake me up?!"

He growled. "I didn't mean to, damn it, that sun hurts my eyes."

She continued to grumble and whimper. "Why'd u make my head hurt??"

Inu Yasha sat up with his eyes squinted because of the light pouring into the room from the window. "That, my dear Kagome, is called a hang over."

Kagome sat up with her tousled hair and red bloodshot eyes met his. A pout formed over her face. "Make it better..." she moaned.

"Take a swig of Jack Daniels that will make it slightly better," he muttered as he got up and grabbed his still dirty dress shirt. "I will go to the store and get what I need to make you better," Inu Yasha said as he pulled the shirt on. "Do you want me to take Mayu with me?"

Kagome grunted and nodded before rolling back over to cuddle down into the blankets. Mayu looked over at Inu Yasha from her spot in front of the TV. "We're going shopping?"

Inu Yasha nodded as he buttoned up his shirt. "Yep, mommy is sick, so we have to go and get some things for her at the store." He sat down on the bed and pulled on his boots. "And maybe we can grab some breakfast while we are out."

She leapt up and squealed, flying at Inu Yasha and clung to his neck. "YAY!!!!"

The man laughed as he wrapped his arms around the small girl, walking towards the door. "We will be back in a few, Kagome," he said as he looked over his shoulder at the girl hiding from daylight under a layer of blankets.

She let out a low series of whimpers and grunts as Mayu giggled and wiggled around in Inu Yasha's arms.

Inu Yasha arched a brow at the noises coming from under the blankets and walked out the door with Mayu still in his arms. He swung her up onto his shoulders. "Now hang on, and don't let go," he said as he walked past the check out desk.

The little girl plastered a grin on her face and did as she was instructed. Out of nowhere, she started singing in what sounded to be Japanese.

Atashi ni nagareru

tooya ono fun-ta

yamicha ni de kano

bai kyoku gen

aoi mei kuroun do

dooyo o no shimpi

ii koko no machi de

kaishin geki (ah!)

Inu Yasha stopped in his tracks. "Mayu, nihongo wo hanashi masu ka?" He noticed people staring at him as he spoke and he blushed as he walked out the hotel doors and into the sunlight. "Mayu…" he started again. "What are you singing?"

She giggled and looked down at him. "Hai, it is Do It Minnie May!"

"How do you know Japanese?" Inu asked as he walked down the street towards a near by grocery store.

Mayu looked around at all the people walking by. "Mommy used to watch a lot of anime and when she was still with Hojo, she had a couple Japanese friends and they taught me."

He smiled. "Well, maybe you can teach your mommy, so she will know what I am saying." He laughed as he entered the grocery store.

She wrinkled her nose. "Nahh... then I wouldn't be able to confuse her all the time!" she giggled.

Inu Yasha's smile widened as he grabbed a small grocery basket. "She does look funny when she is confused." He stated as he walked to the back of the store to get a few eggs. "Is there anything you want, Mayu?"

She shook her head as she continued bouncing around on his shoulders and singing.

Minnie May Hopskins zutto!

chigari ka name'tte guto

hora cho kawai son ne Ha!

gutai tede shichou!

doistumo koistumo choisen haisen

ah wara resai gowa neku do koka nande!

Inu Yasha walked up another aisle and grabbed some tomato juice and then went down another grabbing some salt and pepper. "Your mom isn't gonna like this, but she has no choice but to drink it." He walked over to the cashier to get his things rung up and paid for.

The older lady at the register looked at them and smiled. "Oh, how cute, a daddy taking his little girl out shopping."

Mayu grinned big and hugged Inu Yasha's neck tightly. "Yep, and he's the best Daddy in the world. He saved me from a bunch of bad guys!"

The older woman raised a brow as she rung up the items.

Inu Yasha smirked at the lady. "It's a long story," he said as he pulled out his wallet and paid for the items.

"Well, I have to say, sir, that she is the spitting image of you," she said with a smile as Inu Yasha grabbed his bags.

"I think she looks more like her mother," he said as he walked towards the exit.

Mayu giggled and looked down at him. "See! You are my daddy!" she said excitedly.

Inu Yasha smiled. "I told you I was." He walked out the door and back out into the bright light which caused him to wrinkle his nose. "Ok, where to now? You wanna get some breakfast, or let me go and buy us some clothes because I can't wear these all day they are dirty."

Mayu wrinkled her nose. "PANCAKES AND SAUSAGE!!!!!!!"

He smiled "Ok, breakfast first."

She looked down at Inu Yasha's head. "I remember one time, Mommy was drunk and she told Sango that she loved sausages, especially the big huge ones. She said that they tasted better when covered in that sticky, sticky stuff. Then Sango and Mommy started laughing." She looked up, frowning. "I don't know why pancakes are funny, but hey, Mommy gets weird when she gets drunk."

Inu Yasha blushed as they walked down the street. "Uhhhh...people think things are really funny when they are drunk."

Mayu looked back down at Inu Yasha's head. "Inu Yasha, what's a penis?"

He choked. "Uhhhhh… its something a boy has and a girl doesn't...." Inu Yasha stammered as they approached a small restaurant on the corner. "Look, there's a good place to eat," Inu Yasha said to change the subject.

The little girl pouted. "You mean I can't have one? Why not?"

Inu Yasha turned ten shades of red. "Uhhhhh...." He swallowed hard. "It's something a boy is born with."

She sat there in silent thought for a while. "Then why does Sango and Mommy talk about playing with them?"

Inu Yasha blinked as he walked into the restaurant. "Because they are crazy."

"Sango says they are yummy, too. Are they candy things?"

He sat down in a corner booth and pulled Mayu in beside of him. "Uhhhhh, ask your mommy when we get back."

Mayu bounced around and turned to face him. "But I wanna know now! And why does Houshi Bouzu always say that Mommy wants to play with your penis?" she asked as the waitress walked up behind them.

Inu Yasha buried his face in his hands, trying to hide his embarrassment "Kami-sama...." he muttered.

The waitress looked at the both of them and laughed silently at Inu Yasha's distress. "Can I get you two anything?"

Inu Yasha looked over at the waitress. "Some Tylenol will be nice, and a glass of water," he grumbled. "Mayu, tell her what you want to eat."

The little girl beamed up at her. "Sausage and Sticky stuff!!" The waitress blushed. "Sausage and Syrup it is," she murmured before dashing off.

Inu Yasha's head fell from his hands and hit the table with a loud thump and he blushed. "Mayu, if you drop this subject, I will buy you a toy."

Mayu scowled at him. "Why are you turning all red and getting all shy? It's just a stupid question."

He laughed. "I'm sorry, I'm just not use to being asked those kinds of questions."

The little girl huffed. "Fine," she said as she settled back down. After a while, she looked up at him. "Inu Yasha?"

"Hmmm, what is it, Mayu?" Inu Yasha asked quietly.

"What's sex?"

Inu Yasha's head hit the table again, this time causing him to see stars.
