InuYasha Fan Fiction ❯ Falling For the Baby Sitter ❯ Too Much ( Chapter 50 )
Inu Yasha stood there, dumbfounded and caught completely off guard. "Uhhhh..." was all that left his mouth when he opened it. Then he snarled, showing his fangs. "Miroku!" he yelled over the mic. "Get your perverted damn ass up here and help me!"
Miroku fell out of the chair he was in when Inu yelled out his name. "Damn, he is such a pain in the ass," Miroku said as he pushed his way through the crowd.
He jumped on stage and bowed to Inu Yasha. "My Lord and Master has beckoned me."
Inu Yasha shoved a guitar into his best friend's hand. "Yeah, and I order you to play, God damn it," he seethed.
Miroku gripped the neck of the guitar and moved over to the other mic on the stage. "What are we playing?" he asked.
Inu Yasha thought for a minute and grinned really big. "The worst hang over ever, by Offspring."
Miroku laughed. "Gonna dedicate it to anyone we know?"
His best friend laughed. "Yep, Kagome." Inu Yasha stepped up to the mic. "I am dedicating this song to a close friend of mine, Kagome and I hope she doesn't repeat what she did last night tonight."
Kagome's brow twitched as she stood up. "Inu Yasha! DON'T YOU DARE!"
An evil grin passed over his face as he began to sing.
Went out drinking late last night I had a blast
But now the morning light has come and kicked my ass.
Miroku laughed as he strummed the notes out on the guitar.
I've got the worst hang over ever I'm crawling to the bathroom again
It hurts so bad I'm never gonna drink again.
As Inu Yasha sang, he grinned, remembering how Kagome was earlier.
By my seventh shot I was invincible
I never thought I'd be this miserable
I've got the worst hangover ever
I'm rolling back and forth on the bed
I hurt so bad I'm never gonna drink again
Wont someone just kill me
Put me out of my misery
Im making deals with God
Make it stop please make it stop please
I've got the worst hangover ever
Im crawling to the bathroom again
It hurts so bad Im never gonna drink again
I probably never drink again
I may not drink again
Well at least not till next weekend
Inu Yasha looked over to Miroku and smiled while his best friend just sat there shaking his head, fighting back a smile.
Kagome sat at the bar and, much to the tender's disapproval, defiantly downing drink after drink. Her vision on Inu Yasha was becoming wavy but she refused. "Jist Bukiz I drinka dudn't mean dat im gon git 'ngover, Damnit."
Kouga walked over to Kagome and touched her shoulder and then looked at the bartender. "No more drinks for her tonight." He chuckled.
She slammed the glass down on the table then stood up to bitch Kouga out, but then wavered a bit. Blinking, she scowled. "Your boyfriend is really mean!"
Kouga smirked. "Yeah, tell me about it." He rolled his eyes towards Inu Yasha. "If you want, you can sing a song. Since he was teasing you, I give you permission to get revenge."
Kagome rubbed her eyes and then grinned. "K!" She ran up to the stage and took the guitar from Miroku. She scowled at Inu Yasha and staggered over to the microphone. "Thank you so much, Inu Trasha," she said bitterly.
Inu Yasha snorted and flipped his hair over his shoulder. "You're welcome, pain in my ass."
Miroku bailed off the stage to avoid the war that he knew was coming.
Kagome snickered slightly and looked back out at the crowed. "Given permission by my employers, WONDERFUL boyfriend," she began, motioning towards Kouga. "I'm going to sing you a song by Cold. I'm taking artistic liberties and changing it up a bit. The song is Stupid Girl, and I'll be playing the role of Inu Yasha, the arrogant little vampire behind me." Kagome looked over her shoulder, throwing him a look.
Inu Yasha scowled at her and then glared over at Kouga, who upon noticing his lover's glare, smirked and shrugged.
Kagome shifted the guitar and, in contrast to her drunken state, started playing to riffs to the song perfectly, while still adding in her own touch. Looking up, she looked out at the rest of the crowd.
"Wanna love ya,
Wanna bug ya,
Wanna squeeze ya,
Stupid Girl.
Wanna touch ya,
Wanna take ya
Wanna shut ya,
Stupid girl."
She selected her gaze to rest on Inu Yasha as she turned slightly and a strange gleam twinkled in her eyes.
"I can't take this,
Born to break this."
She lowered her head, her hair tumbling over her near bare chest already and shook her head from side to side.
"She's going away,
she's going away.
What's wrong with my life today?
She's going away,
she's going away.
What's wrong wit my life today?
Stupid girl, stupid girl."
Inu Yasha rolled his eyes and stuck his tongue out at Kagome like a big child.
A smirk graced the girl's lips as she turned back to the crowd and stood like Inu Yasha while holding the guitar.
"I'm a loner,
I'm a loser,
I'm a winner,
In my mind.
I'm a bad one,
I'm a good one,
I'm a sick one,
With a smile."
She backed up a bit so she could look at Inu Yasha and face the crowd at the same time. Putting an overly tragic look on her face she kept singing.
"I can't take this,
born to break it.
She's going away,
she's going away.
What's wrong with my life today?
She's going away,
she's going away.
What's wrong with my life today?"
Strumming the guitar erratically she looked back up at Inu Yasha, darkly.
"Stupid girl,
Stupid girl,
Stupid girl,
Stupid girl.
Whoa!!"
Inu smirked while the rest of the gang was down in the audience laughing their ass's off.
Kagome picked up the last couple of rounds of the guiar, picking the strings expertly, and glared down at the floor making her think irrationally about random things while she played.
"She's going away
(She's going away)
What's wrong with my life today?
She's going away
(She's going away)
What's wrong with my life today?
Stupid girl, stupid girl."
Inu Yasha snorted. "Stupid girl..." he mumbled.
Kouga sat back and watched them on stage.
Ryo laughed. "I think Inu Yasha is aggravated," he said as he snuggled up in Soryo's arms.
Kouga laughed. "I know, ain't he cute when he is aggravated?"
Kagome put the guitar down and turned to walk off the stage, but said low enough so the mic didn't pick her up as she walked past him, "Did I go to fast for ya, shit for brains?" Stumbling down the stairs with as much dignity as she could manage she walked off into the throng of people.
Inu Yasha jumped off the stage as the crowd applauded her performance. "Nahhh, stupid girl, I got it."
She whirled around, wavered a bit and then looked up at him, a strange look in her eyes. She opened her mouth to say something, and then thought better of it. Her eyes studied Inu Yasha's face for a moment, and then she turned to walk off, shaking her head.
"Tell me you haven't been drinking again tonight," Inu Yasha said as he followed in behind her. "Because, I am not cleaning up puke tonight."
She paused, and then turned on him. Her silver eyes held a glittering fire in them as she rounded on him. "How could you go up there and embarrass me like that?!"
He stopped and looked at her in shock. "I was kidding, Kagome. I didn't mean it seriously, I just thought it was funny," Inu Yasha said in self defense. "I'm sorry; I thought you would get a good laugh at it."
Her eyes being lowered to the ground, she eyed the toes of her shoes. "Inu Yasha..."
His face softened. "Kagome, honestly, I am sorry."
She looked up at him again, her eyes flashing with the deep emotion that had over taken her as she had made her realization earlier. Taking a deep shaky breath, she tore her eyes away from his. She smiled up at him.
"You know, Sango probably needs help corralling Miroku," she said backing away. "I should go help her."
Turning, she couldn't help but think about Inu Yasha and the time had spent not only with her, but with Mayu too.
Inu Yasha reached out for her arm. "Kagome, are you ok?" He raised a brow as the dim light from the club made his eyes seem to glow unnaturally.
Kagome's heart jumped as he touched her. She looked down at his hand on her arm and felt her breath hitch in her throat. Her eyes traveled slowly up his face to land on his eyes as she admired the way the glowed in the light. Without noticing it, she turned back toward him and took a step forward as she studied his eyes.
Inu Yasha tilted his head. "What is it?"
Shaking herself out of her daze just as she felt herself being drawn towards him she stepped back pulling her arm out of his grasp. "I'm just drunk is all," she said, waving her hand.
A brief look of disappointment flashed across his face, but he pushed it back with a smile. "Alright, just promise me you won't drink anymore tonight," he said.
She looked up at him and nodded slowly. "Inu Yasha?"
Inu Yasha reached up and brushed the bangs from his eyes. "What is it, Kagome?"
The girl in front of him smiled wickedly. "When am I gonna get to bite ya like ya promised me?"
"You can tonight, whenever Kouga says for the blood letting to start," he said quietly.
Kagome looked up at him, surprised. "But aren't you supposed to stay with Kouga all during that?"
Inu Yasha closed his eyes and shoved his hands into his jeans pockets. "I can sneak away and have Ryo cover for me, so I don't worry about it."
She watched him quietly for a minute. "You don't have to."
He opened his eyes and smiled. "Its ok, I have no problem with it."
Kagome smirked. "Good, then I'll teach you to dance sometime too."
"Ehhhhh...uhhhh..." Inu Yasha stammered. "I am not good at that sort of thing unless it's a slow dance."
She grinned wickedly. "Then all the more reason to teach you."
He sighed. "Yeah, sure." Inu Yasha glanced around and saw Master Soryo coming towards them. He groaned. "Oh, man..."
Master Soryo stood behind Kagome. "Inu Yasha, Kouga needs you to go and help him. I offered to send Ryo in your place, but he said he wants you."
Inu Yasha sighed. "Alright, Master Soryo. Kagome, we can talk after I get back, ok?" he said as he stalked off.
Kagome nodded at Inu Yasha as he went to do Kouga's bidding. She wrapped her arms around her abdomen and glanced down studying the designs on her dress.
Soryo eyed the girl. "Are you going to participate in the blood letting tonight?" He asked as he folded his arms across his chest. "Is that why you are acting so nervous?"
Kagome looked up at Soryo, surprised he was still there. "N-nani? The bloodletting?"
He nodded sending his hair billowing around his face. "Yes, the blood letting." Soryo smiled gently. "I will have Ryo show you the customs, if you wish."
She blinked a few times. "Really?" A smiled blossomed across her face. "Thank you so much, Master Soryo!"
Soryo motioned for Ryo to come to him. Ryo smiled as he approached his blue hair shining brightly under the lights of the club. "Ryo, do me the favor of showing this fledgling the customs of the coven I have to go and get Kouga and prepare for the blood letting."
Ryo clapped his hands together. "It will be an honor, Soryo."
Soryo chuckled as he left his mate and Kagome to talk.
Kagome watched Soryo leave, and then looked up at Ryo. She smiled slightly and scratched the back of her head. "Ummm... hi?"
Ryo smiled. "Hello, you must be Kagome." He held out a clawed hand for her to shake. "I am Ryo, we met before."
She smiled and wrapped her slim fingers around his and shook his hand. "Yes, we have. I'm Kagome, Inu Yasha's....err... slave." She made a face, unsure of what to call herself considering she didn't JUST baby-sit.
Ryo blinked. "I didn't know Master Kouga let Inu Yasha have a slave." He pulled his hand back from hers. "Oh well, what would you like to know?" Ryo chirped happily.
Kagome blinked. "Oh I didn't mean it like that, it was a joke! Like I clean and watch the kids, and... Oh never mind." She stopped herself to consider his question. "Um...I'm not really sure...I'm really just curious about the bloodletting."
Ryo smiled. "All a blood letting is is where we drink blood from others. Some don't do it, like Miroku, he considers himself a psychic, or a life force vampire," he stated. "Which one are you?"
She tilted her head to the side and looked up at him. "I'm not really sure, but I would suppose one that drinks blood."
Ryo laughed. "Only a few rules to that one." He started his rant. "If you cut another, never cut too deeply, for this will cause major damage, and never cut into a major vein. If you bite, same rules apply, and if you bite on the neck, make sure to avoid the major artery in the neck." He pointed to the base of his neck and to the juncture of his shoulder where it meets the neck. "Bite here, that's the safest of places. Oh and if a Master wants to bite you, never refuse, because that is considered disrespect." He tilted his head and thought for a moment. "Oh, yeah," he said as he held up a finger. "Never bite a mate of a Master unless you have his permission." Ryo chirped a little to cheerfully. "That's a big no, no."
Kagome blinked a few times before a goofy grin spread over her face. "A no, no, eh?"
Ryo's face turned gravely serious. "Never ever do that unless you want to have the wrath of a Master on your neck, but if you have their permission its fine." His demeanor changed in the blink of an eye and was all smiles again. "Anymore questions?"
Kagome shook her head, fascinated at his mood swing. "Um, yea, when does the bloodletting start?"
"It should start as soon as Master Kouga and Soryo return," Ryo said as he looked around the club humming to himself.
Kagome nodded and leaned against the wall to her right. She looked down at her dress again. It was really remarkable that Sango and Nazuna bought it, and she loved the outfit.
Ryo turned his gaze onto her again. "Are you ok Kagome?"
She looked up at his voice. She smiled as she leaned against the wall some more. "Yea..." she trailed off.
Inu Yasha, Kouga and Soryo walked over to where they were. Inu looked a little disheveled and tired while Kouga looked rather happy. Soryo wrapped his arms around Ryo. "Ryo, are you ready?" he whispered huskily into his lovers ear.
The younger man smiled. "Yes, Master," he replied as he was dragged off towards the stage.
Kouga leaned over to Inu Yasha. "I will be back shortly," he said and then followed Soryo.
Inu Yasha nodded as he held onto his neck, blood leaking out from under his hand.
Kagome watched Inu Yasha quietly for a few minutes. Finally, she grabbed a rag off of the table near by and pulled his hand away slowly. She cleaned the wound gently, dabbing it in a bit of water to wash away the blood.
Inu Yasha flinched. "Its going to bruise this time, he bit too hard," he muttered.
The girl didn't answer but pulled him back towards the bar and got some ice. She wrapped it in the rag and held it against his neck, looking everywhere but at his face.
He flinched again from the touch of the ice to his neck. "I'm going to kill him," he seethed through clenched teeth.
Soryo approached the mic. "Ladies and Gentlemen," he announced. "Let the blood letting begin," Soryo said as he sank his fangs into Ryo's pale neck earning a loud whimper from his mate.
Kagome watched this quietly before turning back to Inu Yasha. "You need to sit down," she said as she drug him over to a table.
Inu Yasha sat down as the blood began to seep out from under the cloth again. "I'm ok; the bleeding will stop shortly, its just sore."
Eyeing the man across from her she slid back to press her bare back against the wall. Resting her elbow on the table, she leaned her head into her hand.
"If you want to bite me now, go ahead," Inu Yasha said as he let the ice down from his neck and tilted it towards her.
Kagome shook her head and kept her gaze on the stage where Ryo stood, being drained.
Soryo let Ryo go from his grasp and steadied his lover against his body. Ryo smiled sleepily up at the Master and closed his eyes as Soryo picked him up and carried him off stage.
Inu Yasha looked at Kagome. "Hey, I thought you wanted to earlier," he said aggitated.
She looked at him, her eyes flashing. "I do, but I don't want you to get in trouble!"
His eyes flashed under the light. "It's my body I do what I want with it, and I said bite me, damn it!"
Kagome growled at him and pulled him towards her, her lips clamping over the previously inflicted wound. She lapped up the blood trickling down his skin with her tongue, before sucking the blood from the wound. She shook slightly against him as she tasted its metallic tang flow over her tongue and lips.
Inu Yasha closed his eyes and groaned he reached out and grabbed a hold of the table to steady himself from the head rush.
Kagome pulled back and looked up at him, his blood glistening on her bottom lip and leaking from the corner of her mouth. Her silver eyes glistened under the dim lights and her chest rose and fell with her unsteady breaths.
He opened his eyes half way as the room began to spin. "Too much …too much..." he muttered right before his head hit the table.
