Chapter One

The phone rang and Kagome looked up from her book to stare at it. She really didn't want to answer. She leaned over to check the caller I.D. It was her mom. Sighing she put her book down and answered the phone. “Hey Mom.”
“Hello Kagome darling,” her mother replied cheerfully.
“What is it?” Kagome sighed.
“What do you mean?”
“You only add darling to may name when you have bad news,” Kagome said.
“Bad news!” gasped her mother. “But honey I have the best news possible. Your father and I—”
“He's not my father,” Kagome interrupted.
“Nonsense of course he is,” her mother replied. “Anyway we've found the best man for you. He and your father have already started negotiating the contract.”
“He's NOT my—what? What do you mean negotiating the contract?”
“The marriage contract, silly. You'll need to be here in a week to meet him so we can finalize and sign the contract. I do love weddings,” she sighed.
“Mom—”
“Don't even bother asking who he is. Knowing you, you'll goggle him and—”
“It's google, Mom.”
“Goggle, google, whatever. Either way you'll come up with some terrible reason why he isn't the right guy. See you in a week darling, kisses.”
“Mom—” Kagome sighed as the dial tone played in her ear then hung up. A few minutes later she picked the phone back up and dialed. “Sango?” she said. “I need you. Meet you at our spot.”

“So you just gonna take this?” Sang asked incredulous.
“I think I have to this time,” replied Kagome staring into her coffee cup. “I managed to get out of the few they've tried so far. But now, not giving me an name and only telling when when the contracts nearly finalized, they're not leaving me any wiggle room.”
“There must be something you can do,” insisted Sango. “Tell them your gay!”
“They'd want proof. Are you gonna help with that? Mom already thinks your gay anyway.”
“What! I'm not gay,” protested Sango.
“Tell that to my Mother,” Kagome said with a little smile. Her first smile since the phone call. “Look, it's not that big a deal. I knew it would happen sooner or later.”
“Arranged marriages in this day and age are barbaric,” muttered Sango.
“Your preaching to the choir,” Kagome sighed. “That's just the way it is with my family. It's a tradition and traditions must be upheld at all costs.”
“I'm coming with you,” Sango said. “And if I don't approve we'll find someway to get you out of this. Even if it means pretending we're gay.”
“I doubt we'll have to take things that far,” said Kagome wryly. “But seeing as your my lawyer anyway you can at least hold things up by insisting on going over the contract yourself.”
“No problem, after all what's the point of having a lawyer friend and not using her every now and then,” Sango replied with a grin.
“I better get all my affairs in order then pack for the trip. But first...” Kagome trailed off.
“What?” asked Sango.
“First I'm gonna do something for myself for once. Wish me luck.”
“Best of luck,” Sango said automatically. “But what are you going to do?”
“Live out a fantasy,” Kagome answered before laying money for her coffee on the table and walking away.

A/N: Hello all. Hope you liked the first chapter of Fantasy. I know it's short but this seemed the best place to end it. This is my first ever lemon fic, before now I've contented myself with hinting and implying but I've decided to broaden my horizons. Feedback is always welcome and so are pointers. Review please.
Thanks,
Inulover.
