They went inside, Sango, Miroku, Shippo and Kirara all sat in a semi circle in the middle of the room. Sango was holding the deck of playing cards Kagome had brought from her time while the others were making themselves comfortable on the pillows and blankets they had taken from the beds.
“Inuyasha, are you alright?” Miroku asked, being the first to notice his blood shot eyes.
“I'm fine. It's probably the altitude or the weird food.” He said, knowing very well what the cause of his condition was and trying not to think about the fact that the reason was still holding his hand.
“Well, as long as you're sure you're okay. Now lets play that game you taught us, Kagome.” Sango said, holding up the cards.
“Does everyone remember how to play? Dai Hin Min can be a little tricky so I can go over the rules again if you want.” She said, taking a seat on the cushions.
Everyone agreed that they understood except Inuyasha who gladly excepted Kagome's help through the first three or four rounds. Once he got the hang of it, they started a `boys vs. girls' tournament.
Around the seventh game, Shippo was out cold, curled up with a happily sleeping Kirara.
“I have an idea. Let's make it a bit of a wagering game.” Miroku suggested after making sure the two smallest members of their group were carefully and securely put to bed.
“But we have nothing to bet.” Sango pointed out.
“That's alright, we can just bet favors.” He said, dealing out the cards.
“Favors? What kind of favors?” Inuyasha asked, looking warily at the monk. His eyes had long cleared and he was beginning to think clearly again.
“Anything you want. We can use some paper scraps and when someone wins one, that counts as one favor they can ask of anyone else playing.” He said, pulling out the notebook he took from Kagome's pack.
“Hold it, monk. This isn't some sneaky way for you to cop a free feel, is it.” Sango asked, glaring at him. He feigned a surprised expression.
“Sango, I am hurt that you would assume such a thing! I'll have you know that I intended no such thing. I swear on my honor as a monk that I will not use my favors for trying to grope you.”
They ultimately ignored his ranting and started to play. Miroku keeping his word was never questioned, not because he had kept it but that he had lost every hand. So far, Kagome had five, Inuyasha had three and, to Miroku's dismay, Sango had nine, the first being used to make him promise not to touch her for the rest of the night.
They played another three hands before stopping for the night, Miroku finally winning one favor and wisely saving it for another time.
“You know, I've gotten so used to us all sleeping around the campfire, I'm not so sure I can sleep by myself.” Sango said, folding the blanket from her bed.
“I would be more than happy to let you share my bed, my dear Sango.” Miroku said, helping her fold the blanket.
“Don't worry, Sango. You can stay with me tonight. To be honest, I think I'll have the same problem sleeping alone.” Kagome interrupted, halting any ongoing arguments.
The girls went to Kagome's room, leaving the guys to finish picking up. Shippo slept on Inuyasha's pillow, which he didn't mind because he hated sleeping in beds.
“You and Kagome seemed cozy tonight. Anything I should know about?” Miroku teased.
“Very funny. Nothing's going on, she was just worried about me because of my eyes, that's all.” He said evasively
“Alright Inuyasha, whatever you say.” He climbed into bed and it didn't take him long to fall asleep.
Inuyasha, on the other hand, couldn't sleep yet. He paced the floor of his room quietly, trying not to wake Shippo, and thought. Kagome had been really worried about him earlier and he felt bad that she was worrying herself sick because he couldn't control his own body. On the other hand, she had looked about ready to kiss him back when he couldn't seem to keep his urges in check. The rogue thought was crushed before it could finish fully forming.
The more he sat thinking about it. The more unhappy he began to feel. He decided it was better to talk to her about it and hope that she would either understand or at least wouldn't sit him into the ground. To be honest, he couldn't figure out why he was worried or for that matter, why he should say anything at all but she had always been the one who he could turn to when he had a problem.
He started down the hallway, hoping that they had fallen asleep by then. In the room, Sango had a pillow firmly fixed over Kagome's face, the latter kicking and screaming. He was tempted to rush in and help her until he heard the fit of laughter erupt from the tangled sheets.
“I was only kidding, Sango! But I really do think you should say something. I knew you like him but you should tell him that.” Kagome said, recovering from her “near death experience”.
“I just can't, Kagome. He's such a lecher that I'm not sure he's even capable of being in a faithful relationship. He's got a one track mind and… well, how am I supposed to trust him when he asks every woman he meets to bear his children!” She flopped back onto the bed with an exasperated sigh.
“I know but he still pays more attention to you. If he didn't like you, he would spend a lot less time trying to spy on you and a lot more time watching other girls.” Kagome said, laying back and closing her eyes.
“The only reason he spends more time watching me is because he knows Inuyasha would kill him if he tried to spy on you. You have someone to defend you while I have to deal with the lecher that can't keep his hands to himself!”
“Inuyasha could care less about me. I'm just the shard detector. He watches Miroku as closely for me as he does for you. I say he really likes you so you should do something about it. Go talk to him!”
“Fine, I'll talk to him. But if I'm right, I'm gonna use my Hiraikotse on you!” She said, stomping towards the door.
Inuyasha managed to step into a doorway before she could see him but in his mind, he couldn't help but smile.
`Maybe she'll get that monk to loosen up after all.' He mused.
He waited until he could see Kagome's shadow move to put out the lights and once all of them were out, he waited until she was in bed. He peeked inside the room and listened for her breathing to level out before he made his way towards the bed.
“Hey, Kagome. Are you sleeping?” He whispered.
“Hmmm…” Was the only reply.
“Listen, I've been talking to Miroku a lot lately and he's been really worried about Naraku. He told me he really likes Sango and maybe even loves her but he won't let her like him because he's afraid we might lose.” He said, still in a gentle whisper. “I want them to be happy together but when we win, I'll be alone again. I guess I just don't want you to leave. And for the record, you aren't just a shard detector to me.”
“That's nice to know.” She said, smiling up at him.
“K-Kagome! I thought you were sleeping!” He said, nearly falling off the bed.
“I know. I figured you needed to get that off your chest. I know that when something is bothering me, the last thing I need is someone commenting mid-rant. By the way, I don't want to leave either.” She climbed into his lap and wrapped her arms around his neck.
Inuyasha put his arms around her and buried his nose in her hair. It was funny how he had come to care so much about her in the time they had all been together. He still remembered the day she had pulled him off of the Goshinboku. It was the day of her birthday and over the years, he had begun seeing it as his own. She had been traveling with them for about four years and she had blossomed into a beautiful young woman before his eyes. There was no way he was gonna give her up easy.
“Inuyasha, you're my best friend, did you know that? No one can make me hate them then love them as much as you can.” She giggled.
He tilted her head back so she could see his face clearly and when she gasped, he only smirked. His demon blood was trying to control him again but he wasn't fighting back. He couldn't fight back. It was telling him to do what he always wanted to do and he decided that he would take advantage of his scapegoat while he could.
He kissed her, making sure to run his fang over her lip. The pain got her to open her mouth just enough for him to slip his tongue inside and the taste of her blood only spurred him on more. He pushed her down onto the bed and snaked his hand up her T-shirt.
“Inuyasha, what are you-“ He covered her mouth with his again, cutting off any protest she might have had. He moved his hand up, stopping just shy of her breast then he reached into his Haori, pinning her arms above her head with one hand.
“If you don't mind, I'd like to use my first favor now.” He smirked, holding the slip of paper before her.
“What do you want me to do?” She asked, breathing hard.
“Kiss me back, Kagome.” His eyes were clearing slowly and with them, his self-satisfied smirk dying.
Kagome reached up and cupped his face. She brought him down into a kiss and willingly let him take over. It turned into a dueling match, both trying to dominate the other. By the time they separated, they were thoroughly out of breath.
“I love you, Inuyasha. You're more than my best friend, you're what keeps me here.”
“I was afraid you'd get all mushy on me, wench.” He chuckled, kissing her again.
“Oh thanks! Maybe I should just kick you out then, Mr. Insensitive.” She teased.
“You stupid girl, you know I love you. Why do I have to say it?” He gave her a tap on the nose then scooped her into his arms. She was so beautiful in the moonlight.
“How else would I know what goes on in that empty head of yours?” They tumbled back onto the bed; their laughs and quiet squeaks became moans after a while. He lifted the shirt to reveal white lace panties and a stomach, toned from constant demon fighting. He kissed it, leading a trail from the waistband of her panties to the undersides of her breast and cutting her bra down the center with one claw.
Kagome giggled, letting him pull the piece of white lace from her body. Inuyasha tossed it onto the floor before cupping her breasts. He squeezed them and watched her face for a reaction.
She arched her back into the touch, covering his hands with hers and guiding them. He removed his left hand and replaced it with his mouth, leaving love bites here and there. His free hand intwined with hers lovingly.
“You're mine. I won't let Kouga or Kotoro or anyone else take you away from me, you understand?” He said severely, finally lifting his head. “I love you more than anything else, Koi.”
The tears welling in her eyes chose then to spill over, Inuyasha kissing them away before kissing her mouth hungrily. During the feeding frenzy, Kagome moved one of his hands down her panties. It didn't take much for him to take the hint. He slipped two finders inside of her, being careful not to let his claws hit her barrier, and began to scissor them, stretching her gently.
Inuyasha wrapped the hand still messaging her breast around her and pressed it to the small of her back, lifting her against him. He laid her down on the pillows, putting the blanket over them and removed her T-shirt and panties all together.
“That's not fair. Let me see you too.” She panted, pulling on his undershirt impatiently.
He pulled the shirt over his head and let her untie the sash around his waist. His pants pooled around his knees and the sight of his naked body in the moonlight was almost enough to make her come then and there but instead, she got to her knees and kissed him. He pulled her back after a minute and looked into her eyes.
“Will you be my life mate? Then you never have to leave me and no one can take you away.” He rubbed her cheek with his thumb.
“Yes. I'll do anything.” She let the tears run down her cheeks where they were caught and licked away in a traditional sign of demon affection. He nuzzled her behind the ear and lowered her onto the bed on her hands and knees. As he pushed in, he bit her shoulder, drawing a steady stream of blood. She whimpered, biting her lip to keep from crying out. After her body had accommodated his length, she began to move restlessly against him. He started a steady rhythm with her meeting him thrust for thrust. Soon, even that wasn't enough.
“Inuyasha…huh-harder! Please!” She called, griping the sheets for leverage.
He covered her with his body, holding himself up with one hand and caressing the point of contact with the other. The mark on her shoulder began to glow with her climactic scream and in the star spangled after shock; it formed into a crescent moon.
Inuyasha came moments later with a demonic growl. He collapsed on top of her, lapping the blood off of her neck then flipped her over to do the same to the front. He caught her eyes and let her kiss him again.
“Aishitteru, koibito.” His voice came in a gentle growl.
“I love you too. Stay with me tonight?” She asked, pulling him to her chest and nibbling on his neck. He nodded, her breathing sending him off to sleep.

Wow, this was my very first lemon. I hope it turned out okay since I'm writing this in my sleep at three am. Ja ne
