Chapter 12: Whats so funny?
a/n: so for the time lapse. welp, on with the story..... oh yeah i don't inuyasha and all that happy crap.
"So she has gained more power." Naraku was slightly surprised by what his bitch, Kikyo was telling him. He had never expected the little girl to be so powerful or so in control of her powers. 'Well, this means for a change of plans.' he thought. Looking over at Kikyo, his thoughts turned. "Kikyo." "Yes?" she replied. "Go fetch Kagura. I'm feeling in the mood." he said. Kikyo rolled her eyes. "I just finished with Inuyasha a couple of hours ago. Couldn't you wait?" she asked annoyed. Naraku just glared at her. "If I was concerned with your feelings about it I would have asked. Now go get Kagura or we will have a most painful encounter." Kikyo dropped her eyes and acquiesced to his request. As she left the room to fetch Kagura, she thought to herself. 'Just a while longer, and Naraku, you and the inu brothers will be at MY mercy.' The thought made her smile. 'Yes, just a little while longer.'

"I wonder where Inuyasha ran off to?" Miroku asked. The group was eating dinner. No one looked up when he asked about Inuyasha. Kagome had just replied, "Don't know. Don't care." That seemed to be the feeling of the rest because no one else spoke up. Miroku could tell something had happened and he didn't like to be left out. 'Well,' he thought 'since no one is proffering the details, I'll just have to ask.' Finishing his meal, he turned to Kagome. "So.. Kagome did you see Inuyasha before you returned for dinner?" Kagome looked at him. Swallowing, she answered. "Yes, I did. He decided to throw a fit about something or other. So, I sat him. Then standing up he proceded to inform me that I was his 'property' and how he 'owned' me. He had grabbed my wrist and was handling it rather roughly", she moved to show her wrist that was still red, "I told him to let me go. He refused so I let a little spirit power leak through my skin till he couldn't take it any more." Miroku just shook his head. "He is a bit too protective of you sometimes.." Just then he caught himself and processed the last thing she had said. "Kagome, how did you learn to do that with your power?" he asked a little stunned. Kagome looked up at him. Blushing slightly she replies. "I have been training myself for a while now." She lowered her voice. "I did it behind everyones back because I didn't think you would think I was strong enought to do it. I know Inuyasha would have been against it." She sighed. "Well, we think it's a great idea, Kagome." Sango chimed in. "Yes." Miroku agreed. "I think it is best you be able to protect yourself." Kagome felt better. "Thanks guys." She smiled.
Miroku steeled himself to continue his questioning. "Kagome, if it's ok, would you mind telling me why you returned to us without Kouga?" He noticed Kagomes features change abruptly. "If you don't want to talk about it it's ok.." Miroku stammered out. Kagome shook her head. "No, it's ok Miroku. I came back because that fucking bastard, Kouga, is to be mated to Ayame." "But, Kagome, I thought he was in love with you?" Miroku asked. "Fuck. So did I Miroku." She answered. "But, apparently, he had been fucking Ayame before I asked him to join me and now the bitch found out she's prenant and her tribe leaders are out for Kouga." She was getting angry again. Kagome calmed herself enough to continue. "Kouga had a choice. He could either mate with Ayame or the tribe of the north would have his head." Miroku understood now but he felt that something was being left out. "Did you truely love him, Kagome? Is that why you are so upset?" Kagome had intended to leave the sex out but the thought of what Kouga and Inuyasha had done to her was too fresh in her mind.
Kagome exploded. "The fucking bastards! They're all the same! Inuyasha fucking that clay bitch while I just stood by and watched. And now Kouga! Kouga, the one person I trusted to not hurt me. Just takes my virginity. Fucks me a couple of times and then tells me he's going to mate with Ayame! I can't take this shit any more! I just might as well purify the lot of them and be done with it!" As Kagome stopped to catch her breath Miroku interupted her. "He what?!" Miroku almost shouted. "Kagome did he rape you ar something?" Kagome just looked at Miroku trying to process what he just said. After a few seconds she responded. "No, Miroku. He did not rape me. I went to him. Freely."
"So it was true." The group turned to see Inuyasha standing not ten feet from them. Inuyasha couldn't believe what he had just heard Kagome admit. "How could you do this to me, Kagome?" he whispered. Kagome just looked at him. "Inuyasha, it is MY choice what I do with my body. And I really don't think you have very much room to talk." Kagome stated. Inuyasha just looked at her. "Kagome, what I did was completely different." Kagome was flabbergated. "What you did was completely different?!" she asked incredulesly. She started to laugh. The group just looked at her as if she had lost her mind. As Kagome calmed down her laughing to a giggle she managed to ask Inuyasha a question. "So, Inuyasha, explain to me how what you did was SO different than what I did." "Well.." Inuyasha started. He had to think of something... 'Ah ha!' he thought. "I slept with Kikyo out of love for you." he said smuggly. Kagome lost it. She was laughing so hard she was doubled over and had tears in her eyes. "You really expect me to believe that?" she asked in between laughing fits. The rest of the group, save Inuyasha, had begun to laugh also. Inuyasha looked around at the group angrily. "Well, yeah. Why not?" he asked. Kagome had calmed done enough to hold a conversation. "Alright than Inuyasha?" she said trying to compose herself. "Than you could say that I fucked Kouga for the exact same reason. I fucked Kouga out of love for you!" She stated adding a little dramatic flare at the end. She was trying unGodly hard not to laugh. "But.. K-Kagome..." he stammered. Finally fed up, he was getting pissed. "Kagome, that is not fair to me." he stated. At that Kagome lost it again. "Oh really?" she managed. "Why don't you drop the act and tell the truth."
