Kagome was in a slight state of shock. She raised her arms to Sesshomaru's chest and pushed herself back from him. She stared at him in a calculating sort of way, as she straightened her somewhat dissheveled attire. Sesshomaru just stared right back at her in a seemingly similar manner. After what had seemed like an eternity to Kagome, she broke the thick silence between them. "What do you want , Sesshomaru?" she asked the demon lord as nonchalantly as she could manage. The way he was looking at her was unnerving. Sesshomaru looked Kagome over appraisingly then made his simple reply. "You, of course."
Kagome was flabbergasted. Of all the responses he could have given, this was, by far, the strangest. As Kagome mouthed at him silently, Sesshomaru just stood waiting for her to compose herself. Kagome finally regaining her voice didn't know how respond to a statement like that. An odd thought occured to Kagome. 'Of course!' she thought, 'That's why he's been sending Jaken to bother me.' Kagome smirked and flipped her hair over her shoulder. "So, it seems the great human hater has taken some sort of interest in me." she said. Sesshomaru closed the distance between them in the time it took for Kagome to blink. Startled by the ubrupt closeness of him, Kagome's face fell into a form of terror. Sesshomaru spun her to face away from him then pulled her tightly into his embrace. "So, it seems." he whispered into the crook of her neck. He chuckled inwardly at the shiver that passed through the young girls body. A slightly adjusted his hands so that he could pull out a rag. "And now," he whispered, "you're coming with me." As Kagome began to struggle and scream, Sesshomaru quickly brought the damp rag to her mouth, deafening her scream.
Kagome was struggling to keep conscience. As her body became weaker and weaker, her mind was screaming. 'Somebody... Anybody....Please help me!' As this last thought passed through her mind, her body ceased its struggling and her world went dark. Sesshomaru, sensing Kagomes unconscience state, lifted the girl carefully into his cradled arms and lifted himself and his prize into the air. Finally clear fo the trees, they became no more than a blur as they moved across the blue sky.
Back at the village, Shippo looked up attentively from his picture. Sango, noticing the sudden movement, looked over to the child inquisitively. Shippo looked over to her. "Did you hear someone scream just now?" he asked. "No." Sango replied. "Why do you ask? Did you?" "No, I guess not. I probably just made it up." Shippo answered returning to his coloring.

Inuyasha was pissed, confused and sedated all at once and he didn't like it one bit. Inuyasha and Kikyo had sex less than three hours ago and he was still feeling the after effects. He was also worried and upset over the fact that Kikyo And Miroku decided to disappear around the same time. He also had a feeling he was missing something important.
As he adjusted his position on the tree limb he was resting on, he could have sworn he saw his bastard brother flit across the patch of sky above him. He just shrugged it off and leaned back into the trunk of the tree. He closed his eyes and he saw her standing in front of him with her warm loving smile. Mentaly, he shook himself. His mind now blissfully clear, he tried to drift to sleep. Just as he was on the brink of sleep, he heard a ruckus in the brush a few feet from the base of the tree he was in. He slowly opened one eye to see Miroku struggling to free his robes from a bush.
"So," Inuyasha started, "where did you run off to?" Opening his other eye and leaping down from the branch, he saw the flustered monk turn to him with an arm full of branches of varying lengths and thicknesses. "What does it look I ran off too?" Miroku asked iritable. He moved over to dump his burden in a clear area in front of the tree. Finally free of his load, he sat down to catch his breath. Inuyasha made his way over and sat across from the exhausted man. Inuyash looked over at Miroku curiously. After a few seconds off this, Miroku finally gave in. "Ok. What?" he said clearly exasperated. "What are you looking at me for?" Inuyasha cocked his eyebrow. "You mean to say it took you two hours to find fire wood?" Inuyasha inquired. "In the middle of a forest?" Miroku looked at Inuyasha in a thoughtful kind of way. "Yes.." Miroku said slowly. "Oh..." Inuyasha murmured. Inuyasha lept to his feet and began to set the firewood up in a tent like fashion.
After the fire was lit and the fish Inuyasha had managed to catch were sizzling, Inuyasha saw a shadow approach them. As he made to leap to his feet, he saw Kikyo's face materialize out of the darkness. Inuyasha just stared at her as she made her way around the fire and began to lay out blankets to sleep on. "Where did you disappear to, Kikyo?" Inuyasha, finally, asked. Kikyo turned her upper body towards him. "I had things I needed to do." she replied. She quickly glanced over at Miroku who hastily turned his gaze elsewhere. "Oh.." was all Inuyasha could manage. "Well, if that is all, I'm tired. Good Night!" she said as she lied herself down. Without so much as a glance at the boys, she turned her back to them and proceded to fall asleep.
Inuyasha stared at Kikyo's back. Turning his eyes across the fire to the monk, his eyes narrowed in suspicion. Miroku was intentionally avoiding the hanyou's gaze. Finally, as the night moved on, they both ate and settled down to sleep. Inuyasha couldn't help the feeling that he was missing something as he drifted off to sleep. Miroku, noticing Inuyasha's breathing even out, began to worry that he was in over his head. He stole a small glance at Kikyo's sleeping form. 'Well, I hope this all works out in the end, I really don't feel the need to die anytime soon.' He thought as he turned over and finally began to drift off.
