Ch.1: Red moon=Trouble

Inuyasha, Sesshomaru, Kagome, Sango, Miroku, and Shippou stood beneath the God tree looking at the well. Kagome held up the almost whole shikon jewel and it glinted under the sun. "Well, my job is almost done. The shikon jewel is nearly full." "Yea, it is…" Inuyasha said his ears drooping a bit. "What's wrong half-breed, sad about your mate leaving you?" "SHE"S NOT MY MATE!!" Sesshomaru smirked, "Sure, whatever you say Inuyasha." Sesshomaru caught sight of something flying towards him and grabbed it. "Protect the shikon jewel for me, okay." Sesshomaru looked at the jewel in his hand and then back at Kagome. "Why me?" "You're the strongest." Inuyasha `Humph` ed and turned away. Sesshomaru threw the jewel back to Kagome, "That's your job Miko; you are the destined protector of the jewel." Kagome smiled, "Well, at least protect it until I get back." "I suppose I could do that for you." "Thanks Sesshomaru." Shippou, now a grown kitsune, walked over to Kagome and hugged her. "Come back soon okay." "I will Shippou, don't worry." Kagome turned to the well and prepared to jump. "Sesshomaru, you'll need to come with me, I can't get through without the jewel." Sesshomaru rolled his eyes and walked over to Kagome. "Fine." Kagome and Sesshomaru jumped down the well and appeared in her time. "Thanks, come back for me in a week okay." "Why can't Inuyasha come instead?" Kagome looked at her feet, "I'm afraid of him." "Oh." *What's the idiot done to her now?* "Alright, a week then." Sesshomaru returned to his time and jumped out of the well. When he landed he looked up and saw a blood red moon. *Hmm, interesting.* he thought walking through the trees to their camp site. "May I talk with you for a moment little brother?" Inuyasha got up and walked over to Sesshomaru. "What is it?" Sesshomaru pulled Inuyasha through the trees by one of his ears. He stopped at the God tree and turned to his younger brother. "What have you done to that girl Half-breed?" "What do you mean? I haven't done anything to her." "Then why is she afraid of you?" Inuyasha looked stunned, "She's scared of me?" "Yes, and I want to know what you have done to cause that." Inuyasha muttered something under his breath. "What was that, I couldn't quite hear you." Sesshomaru said lifting Inuyasha off the ground by his neck. "I RAPED HER!!" he yelled. Sesshomaru threw him across the clearing and snarled at him. "If you EVER do ANYTHING to her while in my sight I will kill you. Is that clear?" Inuyasha nodded his head and rubbed his neck. "Why do you care anyway? You hate humans, remember." Sesshomaru stopped in his tracks and turned to Inuyasha, "I used to yes, but that girl has changed me somehow. I don't know how but she has." Inuyasha saw the look in Sesshomaru's eyes and smirked. "You love her don't you? You're in love with a human." In a flash Sesshomaru was holding Inuyasha off the ground by his shirt. "WHAT?! That is ridiculous!!!" Sesshomaru's eyes began to glow red and he bared his fangs. "No…your not worth transforming for." He said closing his eyes and calming himself down. "Watch what you say to me half-breed, you never know when I could snap." Sesshomaru walked back to camp and jumped up into the tallest tree he could find to sleep.
