Ch.3 Back To The Past!

Sesshomaru and Kagome came out of the well and looked around the clearing. "Aren't Inuyasha and the others supposed to be here waiting for us?" "Yes, they are supposed to be here…oh well, we'll find them." Sesshomaru reached over and took Kagome's hand in his. She smiled and the two of them started to walk. After walking for about two hours Kagome's feet began to hurt her. Sesshomaru bent down and Kagome climbed onto his back. He jumped up into the sky and gracefully landed on his big puffy white cloud. Kagome held onto Sesshomaru around the leg, she was scared that if she let go she would fall through the cloud. "If I can stand on this thing, then so can you." He said pulling her to her feet. Kagome looked over at him and traced the purple markings on his face with her thumb. His lips turned into a small smile and he looked down at her. She smiled, leaned up, and kissed him lightly on the crescent moon on his forehead. His amber eyes softened and he pulled Kagome close to him. Their eyes met and they began to slowly lean toward each other. "There they are!!" came a voice from the ground. Sesshomaru looked down and rolled his eyes at the little kitsune pup. "MOMMY, YOUR BACK!!!" Kagome's eyes lit up when she saw Shippou. "Hi Shippou, was Inuyasha good while I was gone?" Shippou rubbed his head and Kagome got the idea. "Inuyasha, SIT BOY!!" Inuyasha was slammed head first into the dirt. Sesshomaru's normally cold, rock hard exterior faded and he burst into laughter along with everyone else. "Oh my, you are at the mercy of a human…that's hilarious!! To think that a weak human could…" Sesshomaru stopped short and looked at Kagome, he was getting `The look` she always gave Inuyasha. "Heh, heh, heh, *gulp* heh, heh, heh." Kagome walked over to Sesshomaru and smiled at him. He allowed his lips to turn up into a smile. Kagome ran her finger down his chest and then pushed him full force. He tumbled backward and right into the hot spring behind him. When Sesshomaru looked at Kagome and saw her rolling on the ground with laughter he reached under the water and pulled his pants off. When Kagome heard something wet hit a tree branch she looked up and saw Sesshomaru's pants. He then took off his armor and shirt and tossed them away as well. "I've been wanting to take a bath." Kagome's eyebrow twitched and she jumped in the spring with him. "Why I…" "Kagome, do you plan to take a bath in your clothing?" Kagome's eyebrow twitched. Sesshomaru got out of the spring dried his clothes and dressed so quickly nobody knew he had done it. Everyone sweat dropped. "Uh, Kagome, he's out here now." Inuyasha laughed and got hit with a wave of warm water. "HEY!!!" Sesshomaru sat down on a rock and looked at the human girl who had managed to melt his ice cold heart. *It's probably just that phase father was talking about, the mating season or something.* he thought to himself. He was hit with water and his eye twitched as well. "Why you little!!!" Sesshomaru chased Kagome around the clearing before tackling her to the ground. She looked up at him and smiled. Kagome gently moved a piece of silver hair from his face and allowed her hand to rest on the back of his neck. Sesshomaru's eyes stared into hers, it was like he was looking right through her. He laid his head on Kagome's shoulder and closed his eyes. "Ahem…" Kagome looked to the side and saw Inuyasha with a cute look of jealousy in his eyes. "Can we go now; I'm getting a bad feeling about this place." Sesshomaru's head shot up and he sniffed the air. "It's a cat demon…a very strong cat demon." No sooner had Sesshomaru finished his sentence a gigantic cat demon lurched out of the trees. It was in its demon form. Sesshomaru stood up, "Stay back, all of you." His eyes glowed red and he transformed. The giant white dog appearing. The cat demon hissed and launched at Sesshomaru. He opened his mouth and grabbed it around the neck. The cat demon smashed through the trees and lay motionless on the ground. Sesshomaru cautiously nudged the cat demon and then transformed back into his human form. When he turned his back on the demon it jumped up and shoved a claw through Sesshomaru's stomach. His eyes widened as blood ran in a steady stream from the hole. The cat demon left and Sesshomaru fell to his knees. "No…I….I can't die like this, not the proud lord Sesshomaru!!" Kagome ran to him and caught him as he fell forward. She held him close and his blood soaked her clothes. Sesshomaru looked up at Kagome and smiled. His eyes began to soften even more and his breathing grew shallower. "No, Sesshomaru please stay awake, I need you here with me." Sesshomaru weakly raised his hand to her face and gently wiped away the tears. Kagome covered his hand with hers and smiled down at him. She lowered her face to his and kissed him on the forehead. Sesshomaru's crescent moon began to glow. Kagome buried her face in his chest and cried even more. Soon, the glow from the crescent moon spread over his entire body and his wound was healed. "Kag…Kagome, please don't cry…I'll be alright." Kagome raised her head and looked Sesshomaru in the eyes and saw his strength returning. "Oh Sesshomaru, you scared me!!" she said holding him close. He wrapped his arms around her (Yes, he has both arms in this) and kissed her on the top of her head. As Inuyasha and the others watched this scene unfold before them they smiled. Inuyasha however was fuming mad, until Kikiyo showed up and drug him into the forest.
