Neways, enough OF my babbler, you have waited plenty.

On with the story, please enjoy!

Breathe…oxygen

Concentrate…thoughts

Motion…left foot, right foot…step

Twin orbs watched the sun rise in the east as a gentle breeze swayed the thin branches at the top of the trees. The very glance at this creature that stood upon the balcony of a castle would lead you to believe that it was an angel. But this being was far from that of angel, it, he was the great Taiyoukai of the West.

Majestic as he stood, he face lied to the world, emotionless on the outside, but on the inside it was different. He was pondering, his thoughts centered around the woman-child that traveled with his half brother. 'Kagome is her name?' He questioned, lost in his own thoughts.

Sesshoumaru did not care for the human at all, he was just curious. The only reason he had spent a split second of time bringing her 'home' was because of the request his young charge, Rin, or that is what he told himself.

'Rin…' He mumbled under his breath. From the time he first laid eyes upon her up till now, there was something about her that was…intriguing. Though still a child, she told him so much. Just the many emotions she could display fascinated him.

And something about Rin reminded him of Kagome, at the moment he could not place his finger on it. Sesshoumaru put the thoughts away for later pondering when he heard the soft footsteps of the thought of child.

Rin entered the room, her hair somewhat tousled she walked over to her master. "Ohayou Sesshoumaru-sama," Her voice was rough, and her face was still groggy from sleep.

He simply nodded to her. His attention turned back out towards the sunrise. "Why are you up so early?"

"Rin could not sleep, she wanted to see Sesshoumaru-sama." There was silence for a moment before she continued. "How is Kagome-chan? Did Sesshoumaru-sama take her home?"

Sesshoumaru did not reply right away, he was not entirely sure just how the young woman was. He brushed aside the thought, not really caring how the woman-child was, only answering because Rin asked. "Hai Rin, she is fine and she is home."

Rin smiled. "Arigatou Sesshoumaru-sama!" He felt her envelop his leg in a small hug before releasing it.

Sesshoumaru gave one last casual glance back out towards the horizon before turning and leaving, throwing the thoughts of the young miko out of his mind as he did so.

Breathe… concentrate…motion, left foot…right foot

A wave of confusion swept over Kagome as she walked back with Inuyasha, hand in hand. The very feeling of him embracing her made her melt down to the core, yet there was a nagging in the back of her mind, like it was some how wrong. 'Wrong…'

She licked her lips as her mind began to wander. 'It's right…yet wrong…ugh!' She was raking her brain for answers, hoping to find some, but she did not. But she did come across one suggestion.

She sighed as she continued to think it over. 'It may feel so wrong because…I saw him with Kikyou…and then he was holding me, showing me affection.' Kagome just didn't quite understand. She had seen him with Kikyou many of times, but when he come back to her, hoping to find forgiveness, she gave it, and everything seemed back to normal.

'But this time it's different…' A cold wave swept through the hand that connected with Inuyasha's, she let the grip on his hand slack, and slid it from his. She rubbed it, trying to get the warmth back into it.

This did not go unnoticed by Inuyasha, who looked at her in question. "Is any thing wrong, Kagome?"

She shook her head; Kagome didn't like to lie but how was she suppose to explain the sudden coldness towards him that covered her hand. "I'm fine Inuyasha, my hand was just sweaty that's all." She surely did hope that he would buy the lie, she watched him nod slowly and let out a mental breath of relief.

The village soon came into view and all thoughts on the situation soon left her as her friends greeted her.

Breathe in. Sesshoumaru took in a silent breath. Breathe out. He exhaled, taking another step. Right foot, left foot. His feet followed the motion his mind had set in pace.

Concentrate. His ears twitched as he concentrated on the sounds around him. The tune of humming that came from Rin, the consistent babbling of his retainer Jaken, and the thundering footsteps of Ah-Uh.

Continue to breathe…don't stop, concentrate. Keep moving…keep walking…left foot, right foot. The sing song voice of a young child broke the train, and the plane crashed. "Sesshoumaru-sama, Rin was thinking that maybe she can go and visit Kagome-chan, Rin knows she will like these." She held up the beautiful collection of wildflowers she held up to him.

His nose twitched, he did not understand the reason for her plucking these weeds out of the ground, but continued to let her do so. Sesshoumaru finally let her question process into his mind. He glanced down at the small child, her face full of hope and smile upon her features.

He was going to tell her no, but somehow he could not say no to her face. He nodded a quick answer to her and was rewarded with a squeal of pure and utter joy. Sesshoumaru winced slightly. "Rin," He voice was deadpan.

She instantly stopped her joyous noise, and opted for a small smile instead.

Sesshoumaru mentally pulled out a note of just exactly where the village in which the woman-child resided, and they were soon on their way.

Breathe…

This is just a quick filler chap, I promise the next chap will be more interesting, but Kagome and Sesshoumaru will not instantly fall in love. At the current time, they harbor no feelings towards each other. They are simply thinking, contemplating…well Sesshoumaru was in this chapter, Kagome was the last.

Soon they will become curious, and curiosity will lead to other things.

I will post at the end of every chapter the current status of Kagome and Sesshoumaru's relationship to help those who do not really know.
