Inuyasha caught the scent of Kagome and smiled, before he realized she was upset. He ran from her room to the door and questioned her.
“What happened? What did he do? I’ll kill him!” Kagome hugged Inuyasha and told him to calm down. “What happened?” He tried again, a little more calmly.
“Nothing.” She said, leading him to the living room.
“Liar.” He said. “What?”
“He just tried to molest me.” Kagome said. That hadn’t bothered her at all.
“I’ll kill him.” Kagome laughed.
“Don’t bother. He’s not worth the time.”
“So, are you finally going to break up with him?”
“No.” Kagome said weakly. “I’ll give him one more chance.”
Inuyasha shook his head. “He doesn’t deserve another chance.”
“I know Yash.” Kagome looked down at herself and immediately felt horrible again. “Yash, will you be honest with me for a second?”
“You know I’m always honest with you.” He said. “What’s up?”
“Do you really mean it, when you say you think I’m pretty and stuff?” She asked, immediately wishing she hadn’t.
“Of course I mean it Kagome. You’re gorgeous.”
Kagome smiled meekly and rested her head on Inuyasha’s shoulder. “Thanks.”
“What did he say?” Inuyasha asked.
Kagome laughed. “What makes you think he said anything?”
“Because. I know that you aren’t upset about him trying too hard to get a home run. You could kick anyone’s ass if you really wanted to.” He smiled. “What did he say to you Kags?”
“He just said that he liked my outfit.” He waited for her to continue. “Because it hid my extra flesh nicely. Or some shit.” She rolled her eyes.
“He’s a fuckin’ idiot.” Inuyasha said. “You have no ‘extra flesh’.”
“I don’t want to talk about it Yash.” She said, snuggling up to him. She yawned loudly and said. “I just want to go to bed.”
Inuyasha carried her up to bed and set her down.
“It’s a good thing you have demon strength.” She said as she came back from changing into her pajamas. “Otherwise I might’ve been too heavy for ya.” She smiled, trying to lighten her own situation.
Inuyasha gave her a stern look and she stopped smiling, and shrugged. “It’s a good thing I have demon strength . . .” Kagome looked at him questioningly. “Cause I can kick your ass.”
“Try it bitch.” Kagome laughed.
“Oh no you didn’t!”
Kagome allowed Inuyasha to tackle her and he bit her neck playfully. “Stop it!” She laughed as he tickled her stomach. “That’s not fair! It’s my only weakness!” She said, still laughing.
“I know.” He smirked.
“Please Yash, I’m going to hyperventilate!” Inuyasha stopped tickling her and rolled to her side.
Kagome turned to look at him, catching her breath and smiling. Inuyasha always made her happy. She reached up to pet his ear and sighed contently.
“Feel better?” he asked.
She nodded. “Thank you Inuyasha.” She snuggled against him and drifted off to sleep.
“Your welcome Kagome.” He kissed the top of her head, and fell asleep himself.
