“Come on wench, we’ve got to unpack before orientation!” Kagome kept doubling back to the car, to make sure she didn’t forget anything.
“Then go unpack yourself Yash.” She rolled her eyes. They weren’t even living in the same resident hall so why should he wait for her?
“Fine.” He said and stalked off toward ‘Shepard’.
“Fine.” Kagome repeated and went into ‘McKean’.
Though Kagome and Sango went to the same school, they weren’t in the same resident hall either. So Kagome couldn’t wait to get done packing and go find Sango (who was in the all-girls ‘Abbey’ dorms). Sango’s mother had requested the dorm on a special request form. Sango wanted to kill someone.
“Hey.” Kagome looked up and saw Sango.
“Hey!” She said.
“So where are the boys at?” She laughed.
“Did I hear my gender being called?” A boy walked in, followed by Inuyasha.
“Hey guys, this is my roommate Miroku.” Inuyasha explained.
Miroku was about three inches shorter than Inuyasha. He had jet-black hair, which he kept in a ponytail at the back of his head. He was wearing a dark purple shirt and dark jeans.
“Hey Miroku.” Kagome and Sango said in unison.
“Hello ladies. Are either of you available? Because you are both completely stunning.” Miroku threw a charming smile their way and they laughed.
“He’s going to be a ball to live with.” Kagome said. “I’m Kagome.”
“Sango.”
“Ah, Sango, perhaps you would like to take a tour with me?”
“Uh . . . okay?” Sango looked at Kagome who smiled and nodded encouragingly.
“I have a feeling that was a bad idea.” Kagome laughed once Miroku and Sango were out of earshot.
“Yeah, me too.” They laughed and Inuyasha helped Kagome unpack.
“Hello.” Kagome’s roommate walked in. “Kagome we have to be down in Colgate Hall in ten minutes.”
“Oh hey,” she said. “This is my roommate Kikyou.” Kagome said. “Kikyou this is my best friend in the whole world, Inuyasha.”
“Nice to meet you.” He said, shaking her hand formally.
“You as well.” She smiled and when Inuyasha looked away mouthed to Kagome ‘he’s hot’. Kagome smiled back and nodded.
