Kagome made plans to hang out with Kouga the next weekend; on Sunday when she finally had a day off. Kagome didn’t tell Inuyasha. She didn’t want him to get mad at her, and thought ‘what he doesn’t know won’t hurt him’.
She worked like a dog for nearly two weeks. She had the end of term coming up, and she didn’t want to slack off, but pulling eight hours at work, and going to school was taking its toll on her. When she finally did get some down time, someone would come over, or she’d have to run errands.
Finally, on the Sunday she had to go to Kouga’s, she felt she could relax. She took a bubble bath before getting dressed and leaving for his apartment. She wasn’t sure if she should be wearing what she was wearing (a low cut black shirt and a matching skirt.), but didn’t really care either. She was determined to not let Kouga’s side remarks about her appearance get her down. She’d just go easy on the junk food, and take stairs instead of elevators, little things like that.
She knocked on the door and Kouga answered. She smiled and he allowed her in. “Evening.” She said.
“Hey baby.” He said. “You look nice.” She waited for a snide remark, but didn’t get one.
“Thank you Kouga.” She smiled.
“The take-out should be here soon. I called like twenty minutes ago.” He said.
“Oh, what did you order?” She asked.
“It’s from the Hindi restaurant down town.” He said. Kagome tried not to make a face. She hated Hindu food.
“Yum.” She forced out.
“I know.” He smiled and led her in to the living room. It was littered with candles and flowers. Kagome smiled looking around.
“If I didn’t know better, I’d say you were trying to seduce me.” Kagome said offhandedly.
Kouga didn’t respond. Kagome turned around and found that he was staring at her. Not like a boyfriend would normally stare at his girlfriend, but like a wolf would stare at it’s pray. She backed up uneasily. She didn’t like that look in his eyes.
The doorbell rang. “Kouga, don’t you think you ought to get that?” She asked, having backed herself against the wall.
“It’s not important.” He growled.
Kagome gulped and then sighed. Fearing him was stupid. One of her best friends was a demon (albeit only half, but same thing). She brushed passed him and to the front door. “Hello.” She smiled.
“Hey,” The delivery guy said. “Forty-seven fifty.”
Kagome looked at him in disbelief. Forty-seven dollars for food that was disgusting? She shook her head and handed him fifty dollars.
“I don’t have change.” He said, still smirking. Kagome rolled her eyes.
“Keep it.” She closed the door and put the food on the kitchen counter. “Kouga, your dinner’s here.” She called up. “Cause I sure as hell ain’t eatin’ it.” She muttered.
Kouga was downstairs in a flash. He was still looking at her with a predatory glint in his eye. “Would you get over it Kouga? You don’t scare me.” She said.
“I don’t mean to.” He said, his voice raw and gruff.
“Seriously. Knock it off.” She said, thinking he was just playing around.
He charged at her, pinning her hands to her side. “Kouga!” She screamed angrily. “What are you doing?”
He began to kiss at her neck before trying to bite it. She realized he was trying to mark her. Inuyasha had told her all about demon mating. She tried to shove him away, but couldn’t. “Kouga stop!” She pleaded. He ignored her. She began to panic. If only she could dial nine-one-one. Or Yash. Yash would save her. She felt like she was going to cry.
Kouga lifted her from the ground and ran upstairs with her. He threw her on his bed and slammed the door, bolting it behind him. Kagome scurried backward, trying to get up, but he was too fast. By the time she had even begun to raise herself, he was back pushing her to the bed.
“You don’t want to do this Kouga.” She said, trying to talk him out of it. “I mean, after you force me to mate with you, then what? I’ll hold a grudge you know.” She said.
“I don’t care!” He snarled.
She bit her lip, trying desperately to get out of this situation. She screamed as his claws ripped through her skirt, tearing it to shreds. Her tears fogged her vision as he attacked her, with every animal instinct. She rolled her head to the side, looking at the bare white wall. She thought of nothing else that she could do… “INUYASHA!”
