I promise I'll make a worthy lemon in the future for you all, and so the story begins…

For You

The day was cool and a light breeze could be felt whipping through the air. Kagome gave a sigh of relief as she felt a faint wind brush by her face. She had been waiting for this for a long time; she had been waiting for a cool day to come break the wave of heat that had settled itself down over the past week. She gave another sigh of relief and slowed down her walking pace before speaking up to the rest of her traveling companions.

"Hey..." She spoke up, "Do you think that we could rest here for a while?"

Inuyasha gave an irritated glance over. He had had no intention of slowing down, but for Kagome, he was willing to do almost anything. For some strange reason he had been feeling this way lately and it was beginning to scare him.

"Okay." he answered.

Miroku and Sango looked over with confusion written on their faces, if Shippou had been with them at the moment he would have done the same. Normally Inuyasha would put up a fight and insist that they continue for the rest of the day but he had been acting strangely lately. Each one wanted to ask if he was sure but were too afraid of what his reaction might be, plus, they were all awaiting a chance to rest as well and didn't feel like passing up the opportunity for a well-earned break.

Inuyasha watched with a slight sense of arousal as Kagome brushed past him. For some strange reason she was sending waves of emotion soaring down his spine every time she came within close contact with him. He inhaled deeply as to catch Kagome's intoxicating scent. He desired her, he wanted to make her his own, and this frightened him most of all as he snapped to and regained consciousness reverting back to his normal self. He turned away quickly. What was wrong with him? Why was he feeling this way?

"You know" Sango said with a sly tone. "You have been acting a little strange this past week Inuyasha. Are you okay?"

Inuyasha's eyes opened wide. Had she figured out what was happening to him? His feelings?

"I don't know what you're talking about." He shot back.

Miroku smiled. "Ah, it seems you struck a nerve Sango. So tell us, what is troubling you Inuyasha?"

Inuyasha threw an angry glare in Miroku's direction. " Nothing is bothering me! I'm perfectly fine!" He yelled as he turned away angrily. He was about to leave and walk off when he felt a slight pressure around his wrist. He looked down to find Kagome's hand wrapped around it firmly.

"Please don't leave Inuyasha." she begged. She hated it when he ran off, she always felt like he was betraying her whenever he left her alone, although she knew most of the time it was out of pure anger.

Inuyasha stared deeply into her amber colored eyes. Just for the brief moment their eyes locked he felt an overwhelming desire for her once more. He turned away quickly with hopes of brushing these feelings from the depths of his soul, but to no avail, they still remained.

"Feh." Was his answer as he pushed her aside and continued on his way. He needed to be as far away from her as possible, he needed to find somewhere where he could be alone and confront himself about his true intentions for this girl.

Kagome stared at him with saddened eyes as he trailed off leaving her behind. Sango crept up behind Kagome and began to speak to her to soothe her. She knew Kagome was madly in love with Inuyasha even if she didn't want to admit it and it pained even her to even see how Inuyasha could treat her friend sometimes.

"Come on Kagome, me and Miroku will cheer you up."

Kagome blushed. "I don't any cheering up, he's just being a jerk like always."

Sango turned to Miroku; both of them knew she was just putting up a front to make sure they wouldn't become depressed as well.

"You know Kagome..." Miroku spoke up, "It's best to always let out your feelings rather than bottle them up all the time."

She smiled weakly before returning an answer to concerned monk. "I know that but I'm actually just starting to not care anymore."

They both knew this would happen sooner or later. The one day that Inuyasha would finally push Kagome too far from his heart that she just give up on him.

"Do you really mean that Kagome?" Sango asked.

Kagome nodded. "Every time I talk to him he always calls me stupid or insults me in some manner, he's hardly ever nice to me. I mean I give him credit for protecting all of us but it wouldn't hurt for him to be concerned with our feelings rather than our physical status all the time, you know? In fact, I don't even know if I want to be around him as much anymore."

Sango and Miroku began to nod in agreement with Kagome's words but abruptly stopped when they spotted Inuyasha standing behind Kagome. The expression on his face was one of hurt and anger towards himself. None of them had ever caught him looking so glum.

"Do you really feel that way about me Kagome?" he asked.
Kagome turned around shocked with wide eyes. "Inu-Inuyasha...I'm sorry I said those things."

Inuyasha shook his head. "I didn't ask if you were sorry, do you truly feel that way Kagome?”

Kagome lowered her head and shed a light rain of tears. “Lately Inuyasha, yes. You treat me like I'm nothing and I hate it! It's becoming a burden for me to like you as much as I do because deep down Inuyasha, yes, I could see myself seeing less and less of you.” Kagome collapsed to her knees and buried her face in her palms and began to sob even more. “It hurts so much Inuyasha…” she whispered in between her breaths. “It hurts so much to love you.”
