For You
Kagome's heart began to pound as she stared up into Inuyasha's changing eyes. She tried to remove herself from the grip he had on her, but it was impossible, he was too strong for her. She thrashed about beneath him screaming.
“INUYASHA STOP! YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT YOU'RE DOING!” She yelled trying to push him off.
Inuyasha pressed her against the ground harder. His demon instincts were kicking in and he was going to lose himself. With eyes glowing red he began to tear away at Kagome's clothing. Kagome gave out a high-pitched scream that whipped at his sensitive ears causing him to fall backwards. Now that she had successfully removed herself from Inuyasha's grasp she yelled the one word that would hopefully bring him back to his normal self.
“SIT!” She screamed at him, watching him fall deeper into the ground beneath him.
At his point of impact with the dirt he realized just what had happened, he must have changed. He arose to his feet as the incantation ran off. “I didn't hurt you, did I?” he asked.
Kagome shook her head no. She wanted to hug him but was too afraid. With each step he took towards her she took one more back.
“Why do you keep doing that? I'm fine now.”
“How do I know that? You tried to…how do I know you won't change again.”
Inuyasha stood there confused. He thought that he had only transformed, did he do something else? “Kagome what happened?” he asked her trying to take another step forward.
Kagome stepped away once more. “YOU TRIED TO RAPE ME!” She sobbed running away.
Inuyasha stood dumbfounded once more. //I really did that to you?// He watched as she ran away, thinking she was going off to seek comfort from her friends. He arrived shortly back at camp to find Miroku and Sango engaged in a light conversation. Each looked up and smiled as he came nearer.
“Where's Kagome? I need to talk to her.”
Miroku and Sango looked at each other with confused expressions on their faces.
“Isn't she with you?” the monk spoke.
“You mean she's not here?” Inuyasha asked.
“No, the last time we saw her she was leaving with you.” Sango spoke up.
They all stood in silence around the fire at their campsite until the heard a rustling in the bushes. Inuyasha unsheathed his Tetsuiga and waited for an attack. The bushes became restless as Kagome popped out from behind. Relieved, Inuyasha put his sword back and gave a small smile. Miroku and Sango breathed a sigh of relief as they saw their friend was slightly unharmed.
“Oh Kagome! What happened to your clothes?” Sango asked running over to examine them.
“It's nothing, I just fell is all.”
Sango frowned. She could tell by the way that they had been torn that it wasn't from a simple fall; a demon had attacked her, As to which one? She wasn't sure just yet.
“Well you need to be more careful.”
Kagome nodded and sat down against the tree closest to her sleeping bag. She still refused to make eye contact with Inuyasha, although she could feel him staring her down. Miroku noticed the tension between the two and pulled Inuyasha behind a tree to speak with him.
“Inuyasha what happened between you and Kagome? Why does she look frightened and upset?”
Inuyasha lowered his head. “I did something bad to her Miroku. I don't think she can ever forgive me.”
“What did you do?”
Inuyasha balled his hands into fists and turned away, trying to keep his tears to himself, but Miroku could see through his actions.
“Inuyasha, please tell me what happened.”
“I transformed Miroku, I transformed and I tried to rape her.”
“Is that what really happened?! My God Inuyasha what would ever possess you to do that to miss Kagome?!”
“I DON'T KNOW!” Inuyasha screamed storming off.
Miroku popped his head out from behind the tree and stared at Sango. “Come here a minute, I need to talk to you.”
“You better not try anything monk.”
“I won't…” he smiled. “At least I hope not…” he muttered.
“What was that?”
“Oh nothing!” he laughed. “Just come here!”
Kagome stood up and grabbed Sango's arm. “I know you guys are going to talk about me. Please, don't try to hide it. I'll tell you everything that happened.”
Sango looked at Miroku who nodded in agreement. “Okay Kagome, tell us exactly what happened.”
Kagome gave a weak sigh before answering. “Well as you know I went to go talk to him. I asked him what was wrong and he told me…he told me that he thought he was in heat.” Kagome began to laugh at how stupid her words sounded. “Anyways, I guess I got too close to him and he began to change to his demon self. He pinned me to the ground and starting trying to take my clothes off. I tried to push him off but I couldn't finally I screamed and he fell off and then I told him to `sit'. That's when he turned back to normal and I ran away.”
“Oh Kagome…I'm sorry.”
“Why would you be sorry Sango? You had nothing to do with it.”
“Oh I know, it's just, you know we weren't there to help you.”
Kagome smiled. “It's okay Sango, it's done and over with for now. How about we all try to just forget about it and just enjoy our relaxing time before we have to head out again.”
Miroku and Sango nodded. “You're right, let's just enjoy our time together.” Miroku laughed.
Once again a rustling in the bushes made itself present.
“Who's there?” Kagome asked nervously.
Inuyasha emerged from behind the bushes, his eyes once again glowing red. Kagome let out a weak gasp and tried to hide behind her friends. Inuyasha caught site of her quick movements and grabbed her before she had the chance to make her escape.
“LET ME GO!” Kagome screamed trying to pull Inuyasha's hand from her arm.
Inuyasha let out a growl and threw Kagome over his shoulder, disappearing into the woods surrounding them. Miroku and Sango stared in disbelief at what had just happened.
“Why did we leave Kirara and Shippou with Kaede yesterday? We need to go rescue Kagome before something really bad happens. We need to hurry…NOW.”
Miroku nodded in agreement to Sango's words and they headed off into the woods in search for their friend.
Kagome screamed as Inuyasha pulled her further and further away. She pounded at him with her fists, screaming, trying to break free from his tight grasp. Inuyasha smirked at her useless efforts and continued on his way.
“Where are you taking me?!” she screamed.
Inuyasha looked at her, never letting his smirk leave his face. Kagome's eyes widened. She knew what was going to happen, and if Miroku and Sango couldn't find her in time, she wasn't sure if she could survive a more brutal attack from the one she loved. Tears began to fall from her eyes as he slowed his running pace and brought her to a distant and exclusive cave, too far for her friends to find.
“Inuyasha, why are you doing this? Please come to your senses!”
Inuyasha dropped her down to the cold ground and smiled.
“This time…you're not going to get away.”
