Chapter 8~Taking Over!

~~~Kagome had woken up in the hospital. Kyoto and her brother Inuyasha had been there when she woke up, and so had the cops. That had waited for her to wake up to tell them who had attacked her. She had told them she didnt know, that she had walked into her apartment and was ambushed. When she had told the officers that that was all she really knew she saw Inuyasha give her the most pissed off face she had ever seen, and the look on Kyoto's face was not any better as she bit her lip to keep silent. After the officers left and the doctors told her she could go home, but only if she had someone there to watch over her, they left her alone with Kyoto and Inuyasha. It was odd to say the least, she really didnt even know these people, well she didnt know them at all and here they were and Kagome felt sort of unsure, part of her liked the fact that someone cared enough to be there with her, another part of her was leary as to why they were here to begin with.

"You lied to them." came the hissed and pissed off voice of Inuyasha. Kagome looked at him threw slitted eyes, since they were soo puffed out and swollen she could barely open them.

"to who?" she asked threw a lips that were just as swollen and puffed. She was talking in a whisper and not moving her lips in anyway.

"The cops..you know it was Hojo." growled Inuyasha. Kagome looked at him with a slight frown, since she couldnt frown much.

"What aches you tink dat?" Kagome asked in her busted lip language. Funny enough Inuyasha and Kyoto understood it.

"Because we know it was Hojo..hes an ass and its not the first time hes ever beat on his girlfriends woman!" Inuyasha growled again.

"Leave her alone Yash." Kyoto scolded, looking at the pained look in Kagome's face as she struggled not to get upset.

"Im not doing anything to her!..it wasnt ME who beat the living shit outta her." Inuyasha replied angerly as he fehed and turned his back on them to cool off.

"Dont mind him Kagome..Yash really is a nice guy, its just he gets really angry when he sees women get hurt like this." Kyoto told Kagome.

"How con you two are here?" Kagome asked.

"We were coming back to my place when we saw the door to your apartment open and all the lights were off..we got worried and Inuyasha went into you apartment to see if everything was ok..thats when we found you and called the ambulance and the cops." Kyoto explained.

"Tank you."

"What are nieghbors and friends for?" Kyoto smiled.

"I aunt to go hone." Kagome stated as she began to sit up. Not a good idea, every spot on her body screamed out in pain. But the doctors had told her she had no broken bones, but that she had bruised ribs and alot of her body was covered in more bruises. She was going to be in pain for a few days.

"DAMN IT!" Inuyasha hissed as he went to Kagome and helped her sit up against a pile full of pillows. He was very gentle with her and although Kagome hissed a few times, it had not been anything he had done. Kagome was surprised by his gentleness, it didnt seem to fit him.

"What the fuck do you think your doing woman? your hurt..you cant just get up and go you know." Inuyasha scolded, looming over her sitting form. Kagome looked up at him and oddly enough, thought how handsome he was. I mean those golden amber eyes were flashing fire right now and that silver hair of his was pretty much cascading down over his face and tempting her to reach up and just touch it.

"Da doctors said I can go hone..and I aunt to go hone!" Kagome did her best to hiss at him. Inuyasha smirked at her and grinned.

"They also said you could go home if you had someone there to help take care of you.."

"I can take care a eyesel!" she declared, atlhough it would of really sounded better if she could actually form the right words properly.

"Yeah right..you cant even sit up or yell at me properly..how you going to take care of yourself?" Inuyasha teased. Which was really beginning to piss Kagome off to no end.

"Yash leave her alone...but seriously Kagome..you cant go home unless someone can be there with you to take care of you..do you have family or friends that we can call? someone who could help you for a day or two?" Kyoto asked. Kagome thought. She didnt want to call her family, her mom would freak and her step dad would be pissed and her sister Rin? Well she had enough to deal with with Hiten, plus Kagome couldnt stand the thought of Hiten being anywhere around her, and he would no doubt come with Rin, if anything just to see her in pain. Hiten knew Kagome didnt like him and he didnt like her. So he would get a real kick out of this. There was only one person she would be able to call really but she wasnt sure if she could come or not.

"Ear..call dis nunder..ask or Sango." she told Kyoto as she wrote down Sango's number. She waited while Kyoto dialed. Kyoto asked for Sango, said a few words then hung up the phone.

"Her roomate said she left for the weekend with her boyfriend Kagome." Kyoto explained with apology in her eyes.

"Ok..tank you." Kagome replied as she put her head on the pillows and sighed. She had forgotten Sango was going out of town with her boyfriend Miroku. They were in college together and often took off for the weekends to some little bed and breakfast or camping, anything to be alone and get some down time from studying.

"This is fuckin stupid..come on wentch your coming home with us..and Kyoto your not going back that apartment complex either..and dont argue with me about it..because if what princess here said is true, and it wasnt Hojo that beat the shit out of her then theres someone breaking into apartments there and I wont have you there alone and dont make me have to call Sess either." Inuyasha commanded, warned and tweaked Kagome's pride all at once. Kyoto did not look very happy at all, which really made Kagome sorry for her lie, but she couldnt take it back now and her stupid brother knew that and was using it against Kyoto. But as for Kagome she wasnt his sister and he couldnt tell her what to do.

"I not going wit you!..I going hone!" Kagome stated angerly, Inuyasha just looked at her and grinned.

"The hell you are..your going with us.."

"No I not!..you ant tell e aught to do!" she replied defiantly.

"No i guess I cant tell you what to do...but seeing as that the doctors wont release you with out someone to take you and be with you, you only have one other option other than going home with us.." he grinned and Kagome was really starting to hate his ooh soo cute grin.

"what is dat?"

"I call your folks..it wont take me long to find them..hey Im an investigator, Im sure I can track down some sort of family for ya." he told her. And Kagome's heart raced. No. He couldnt do that. Her mom would soo freak out and she would never let Kagome out of her sight again. As it is her mom worried about her and Rin, she couldnt do this to her, and she couldnt do this to Rin either. She was supposed to take care of Rin not the other way around.

"NO..YOU ANT DO DAT!" Kagome all but yelled. Inuyasha arched his brow at her and a part of Kagome just wanted to slap that look off his face, arrogant bastard, she thought, a cute one but a bastard just the same.

"Ohh I cant?? and why is that?? Im just looking out for you Kagome." he replied all to sweetly. Kagome really wanted to slap him silly then.

"I didnt ask you to look out or ne!" she yelled.

"Sorry wentch but things dont always work out the way we want them to now do they?? soo whats it going to be?? home with us..where Kyoto or I or one of the servants can help you or I can find your folks?" he asked and gave her a look that told her that he just knew, she couldnt have her family knowing about this.

"Att hole!" she hissed.

"Been called worse sweety so dont sweat it." Inuyasha replied with a wide grin.

"Call the docs Kyoto looks like we have a guest staying with us." he replied with a victorious smirk.

"And where exactly are we going? Your pent house? Sess'? The mansion?" Kyoto asked with a weary sigh. She really didnt want to go to any of those places.

"No..we are going to the penthouses but you and Kagome will stay in 3..the one that was origianly being held for you." Inuyasha replied, as he flipped his cell on and called whomever to tell them to get the penthouse ready and make sure servants were waiting and that someone went to Kagome's apartment as well as Kyoto's and had stuff picked up for them, stocked the pantry and had medicines and stuff picked up for Kagome. He kept going on and on about all this or that and finally Kagome just shut it all out. No wonder Kyoto wanted to be away from her brothers..if the oldest one was anything like Inuyasha, then she could tell why Kyoto needed some air, some freedom.

~~~Kyoto looked at Kagome sadly. But smiled at her reassuringly. Nope she didnt like that she was being forced to go back the penthouse, but if it meant Kagome's saftey then she would. After all, wether she admited it or not, Kyoto knew it had been Hojo, and there was no way in hell Hojo would ever go, or be allowed to enter the building, so she would be safe from him.
