Chapter 5

Naraku found

 

 

“Kagome?” Inuyasha asked.

“Yeah, Inuyasha?”

“Where do I uh…sleep?” he asked blushing deeply.

“With me, that is if you want to,” Kagome replied. She was wearing a purple tank top with matching pants. The shirt showed her midriff, so Inuyasha's mark was visible. Inuyasha looked at his mark and smiled. He went over to her and grabbed her waist thus brining her closer to him. He then had a better look at the mark. He noticed is was swollen and red. He looked down at it frowning.

“Does it still hurt?”

“Yeah,” she sighed touching it.

“Fuck! I didn't mean to hurt you.”

“Inuyasha, it is okay. A little pain doesn't bother me. You didn't hurt me.”

“Are you sure? I am really sorry,” he replied as he laid down on the bed. Kagome sat next to him.

“I know,” she reached for his ears then leaning in for a kiss. She laid down next to him, “Goodnight,” she whispered.

“Goodnight,” he said wrapping his arms around her.

 

 

 

Miroku and Sango

 

It was late but Sango kept thinking, she reluctantly woke up Miroku.

“Sango, what is it?” he asked.

She didn't look at him. “What…if…” she paused. “What if am pregnant?” she asked. “If I am, I wouldn't be able to fight Naraku, I would be in the way and slowing the group down.” She starred into the fire.

“Oh, Sango. You wouldn't be in the way! And don't worry about Naraku, Inuyasha can take him on right now, all by himself. And if you are…pregnant,” he paused at the word, “ that would be wonderful!”

Sango looked at him with tears in her eyes. “Really?” she sobbed. Miroku then pulled her into his arms.

“Shh, Sango, everything will be fine, no matter what happens.”

In between cries she managed to get out a “I love you.”

“I love you too,” Miroku whispered to her.

 

 

Inuyasha and Kagome

 

Kagome woke up the next morning to find Inuyasha gone. She looked around the room in panic. `Was it all a dream?' she asked herself, but she looked down and saw the crescent moon. Then Inuyasha walked into her room wearing only a towel around his waist. She quickly stood up and couldn't help but stare at him. She looked at his muscles and every powerful curve of his body.

“What?” he asked.

“Nothing, you had me worried.”

His left ear twitched. “Yeah, I took a bath. Took me awhile to find out how to work the...uhh...”

“Bathtub?”

“Yeah, whatever you call it.”

“I'll let you get dressed. I am going to make some breakfast.”

“Sure,” he said as his mate walked out of the room. He was sad she left.

Kagome went to the kitchen, she decided to make Ramen, knowing that was Inuyasha's favorite.

When Inuyasha arrived at the kitchen he stopped at the door and watched Kagome. She started to hum a song and dance around the kitchen while cooking. He smiled as he watched her. But, she lost her balance and started to fall. She thought she would hit the ground but she felt to strong arms around her.

“Watch it clumsy.”

Kagome blushed,” Thank-you,” she replied. He let her go. “What do you want to do today?” she asked turning back to what she was doing.

“Doesn't matter,” he shrugged his shoulders, “As long as I am with you I am happy.”

“Well since school is out, we can do anything,” she paused and thought about it then replying, “We can go to grandpa's house! And, then we can go swimming in the lake.”

“Sounds good to me,” Inuyasha said.

“First we need to go and but suits, so here you eat while I go and get dressed,” she handed him the roman and then walked to her room.

Kagome came back down into the kitchen wearing a short white skirt with a teal polo. “Come on, we don't have all day,” she said to Inuyasha who was sitting still eating. He looked up at her outfit and smiled.

“Yeah yeah, let me get my hat,” he said as he walked out of the kitchen. Soon they were walking down the sidewalk hand `n' hand.

 

Kagome bought a two piece bikini that had blue and green strips on white, and she bought Inuyasha trunks that had Hawaiian flowers that were the same colors.

“How are we going to get there?” Inuyasha asked as they walked out of the store.

“By bus, then we walk the rest of the way,” she replied.

“No,” he said.

She looked at him, “No what?”

“No, those things are too slow.”

“Then how do you expect us to get there?” she asked.

“Me,” he said smiling.

“You? But you don't know the way.”

“So, you can show me.”

Kagome gave up, “Okay,” she sighed. She waited until she saw that no one was watching them as she got onto his back and he jumped into the air.

Once they arrived at the house, Kagome went inside to change as Inuyasha took a look around. She looked at herself in the mirror before walking about side. Inuyasha heard her come out of the house and came down from the trees. When he saw Kagome in her suit he couldn't help but stare. “It…uh…looks good on you,” he said blushing a little. The swelling from the mark was gone and it was a light pink color, it didn't look like a scar. Kagome touched it.

“Is it suppose to look like that?” she asked.

“Yeah,” he replied.

Kagome looked up at the look on his face and smiled. “Now, you go get changed and I'll meet you in the water,” she said as she walked towards the water's edge. He went into the house and after much difficulty he got his trunks on.

He went over to where Kagome was and called her name. She had not noticed he was there and came to the beach. “Yeah?” she asked. He felt a little weird in his trunks.

“Is this right?” he asked. Kagome laughed at him, “Yeah, that's right, now get in the water!” He looked at him in his trunks, her mind then turned to not so innocent thoughts, but she quickly pushed them to the side of her mind. Inuyasha slowly got into the water.

Inuyasha was floating on his back when he looked at the mountains. His mind suddenly thought of Naraku and it clicked. “The mountains!” he yelled. Kagome, who was laying in the sand, lifted her head at his sudden yelled to see him running up to her.

“Kagome I know where Naraku is!” he yelled.

“What?” she asked. He sat down next to her.

“The mountains!”

“Yeah…what about them?”

“Where else have we not looked?” Kagome's eyes grew, “Yeah you're right! Why didn't we think of that before?!”

They sat there talking about it for a few minutes, until Inuyasha bent forward and lightly kissed Kagome. He then laid down his hands behind his head, as he looked out into the horizon.

(I was thinking about ending it here but I changed my mind…)

Kagome smiled, she laid her head on his chest also looking into the sunset. “Naraku will soon be gone then we can look for the rest of the jewel shards,” Inuyasha said.

“Hai,” Kagome said softly. “But….”
