Forming A Dynasty

Chapter 2: The Sealed Boy

Inuyasha's P.O.V.

*~*~*Storyline*~*~*

Hundreds of years ago, A young hanyou boy was sealed as a statue by the works of a priestess by the name of Kikyo. The young boy's name was Inuyasha.

Inuyasha cherrished Kikyo with an undying love that never faded away, and he could never forget her. Inuyasha, being an inu-hanyou (half dog-demon), convinced himself that she would never consider wanting to be with a being such as himself, so he watched her from afar every single day he was able to.

But one day while the priestess was enjoying the scenery of the horizon, she calls to him, for she knew that he was watching. When he approaches her, he remains very cautious because her specialty was killing youkai to protect the Shikon No Tama.

She says to him,"Inuyasha, do you bear a grudge against me? For some reason, it seems as though you are trying to avoid me".

With these words, Inuyasha is shocked. "You...you mean that you don't want me to avoid you? Your saying that you, Kikyo, a priestess, would enjoy the company of a half-demon such as myself", say's Inuyasha, not believing his own words.

"Yes...yes I would", says Kikyo after a long break of silence. "I love you, Inuyasha".

'How can this be? Did Kikyo, the one I love, just say these words to me? Does she really love me even though the blood that courses through me is unlike her own? Yes. I will beleive her because she is my love. I have no choice', Inuyasha thought to himself right after he heard these words.

Kikyo speaks again. "Inuyasha, I have always loved you. Ever since the day I first encounterd you, I couldn't stop thinking about you. Even to this moment, there hasn't been a day, or even an hour when I stopped thinking about you. And no matter how much I try to rid you out of my mind, I will not succeed. I have come to one conclusion, and that is that I love you...Inuyasha".

Inuyasha was shocked by these words and began to quickly express how he felt as well. "Kikyo, I feel exactly the same about you. There hasn't been a moment since the day we encountered that I have stopped thinking about you! Not even for an instant!".

"And I vow to do everything in my power to protect you".

There was a long silence and the two embraced. Inuyasha knew that Kikyo would be his forever, until...

*~*~*Six Monthes Later*~*~*

"DIE INUYASHA!!!", Screams Kikyo as she summons up a large bolt of dark magic, and aims it at Inuyasha's heart. "You will die now! I will see to it that you meet your demise!".

"Kikyo, wha- what are you doing? I...I thought-", says inuyasha watching the one he loves about to strike him.

"You thought what!!! That I loved you? Well guess what, I've never loved you, you pathetic fool!!", screams Kikyo in a tone of betrayal. These words hit Inuyasha hard in his heart, as though the bolt had already been fired. He stands still looking her in the eyes deeply, trying to figure out if this was really what she wanted.

Kikyo breaks the silence by shouting again,"I was only using you as protection againsed the powerful demon Naraku while my spirtual powers were down. But now that I have gained new power, I have no use for your assitance any longer!!! Haha! Look at you. You were so in love with me that you couldn't even realize your own stupidity. But the truth is, that I would never consider being with anyone of youkai blood such as yourself!".

Those very words struck him. He was so hurt... so betrayed. He fell to his knees and looked at the grass while clutching his heart. 'So I was right', he thought, 'Kikyo never wanted to be with me. After all of the years of my life, this was the only time that I had ever been accepted by anybody, and it was all just... just a lie'.

"You, Inuyasha, are a vial beast who will never be accepted by any human nor demon. You were born in this world alone, and so you shall perish alone!!".

Inuyasha held his head down and his eyes filled with stinging tears. "I...I see", he whispered quietly, " Kikyo, I...I want you to kill me now. I have nothing more to live for. Humans won't accept me, my demon family doesn't want me. The only person who has ever wanted me of this world was my mother, and she is gone. So Kikyo, I want you to kill me now", he declared while exhaling his last breath.

"So shall it be!", and with that, she let go of the power and sent it hurling at Inuyasha.

Inuyasha braced himself for the blow he was about to face. As it came shooting towards him, time seemed to slow down. The light from the icey-blue blast reflected from his golden eyes and he thought.

'This is how it should be. This is to be my fate. From the sun, to the clouds, to the soil, I give myself to the earth'. And these were his final thoughts. He clenched his teeth and balled his fists, and it hit. The force sent him flying backwards until the back of his red kimono hit the bark of the sacred tree. The energy soon overcame and the area went bright.

When the light cleared, at the base of the sacred tree was a stone figure. It was a statue of Inuyasha kneeling. He was facing toword the tree as if he was praying.

And this figure would be there for hundreds of years in the same spot, never changing, although it's surroundings did. But the tree and the statue stayed steadfast...

A/N: Thats chapter 2. Sorry that it couldn't be much longer than the first one, time is an issue. Ill try harder next chapter. I know, kikyo is completly OOC, but I had to try to make it interesting. I have a feeling that this is going to be a long story. But then again, ya never know:) The next chapter, kagome discovers the hanyou statue. Hope you liked it. Review and thanx:)
