AN; Okay, before I've said I'm updating this one along with chapter 11 but so much people wanted to see the next chapter so here you are~~!! (If you didn't really understand what I'm trying to say in this chapter please say so in the review coz it's quite an important chapter to the future of this story~ ^^

Oh~ also, I just called this The Hierarchy of the Guardians because I have no idea what else to call it so there~

Chapter 10 - The Hierarchy of the Guardians

A meeting was held with the leaders of all the orders of the celestial guardians in the large glass meeting room.

"Nyokko, we must act now! The Fiends are come close and we must keep all the next generation safe or the hopes will all be lost!" said one of the six-winged beings.

All of them nodded.

"I know but who will lead them back to this world?" Another asked them. "Who will be able to lead them back? And without the Fiends knowing our existence?"

The room became silent.

Suddenly, a knock was heard from the door.

"I'm very sorry my lords and ladies, but the Fiends are close in range and they'll find us in a matter of time!" A lower Mitsukai announced making all the leaders and elders shocked and immediately to their Nyokkos.

AN: A quick explanation here, these beings are called Mitsukai (plural = Mitsukais) okay? They like angelic beings but they're not like their harmless creatures, they are "Guardians" and their sort of like knights except these Mitsukais are both male and female and they have a whole lot more ability than a knight (and I'll tell you more as the story goes on.)

A Nyokko is the Mitsukais' head council of the kingdom kind of people, elders...and they don't have a leader person because each one of the Nyokko as selected in a special way and the make decisions by the vote of each Nyokko. Currently, the main Nyokko is Midoriko, the miko that made the Shikon no Tama in the anime series, remember? Or if you did then now you know. There are others but I just didn't name them coz I found it unnecessary, but they will be in the below okay? All clear? Please continue reading my story!~~ ^^

Oh and all the Nyokkos have six wings while the lower ranked have less…

`Which of you wishes to help the next generation to come back and know their true duty and destiny?' One on the Nyokko bethought to the other Nyokkos.

`I have foreseen this...' Midoriko's voice ringed in each elders' mind.

`Midoriko, why have you not told us before?'

`It was destiny that was holding back these coming words, and destiny had me to be the one to lead the children in the future.' Midoriko closed her eyes. All the Nyokkos knew she was not lying, for if she was, they can read it of her mind. `The vision had shown a great war between us and the Fiends, but ending with no result...'

`What do you mean no result?' One of the elders interrupted, he was a bit at the edge worried at her calm voice and mind.

`Just let her finish!' A female growled.

`Both the Mitsukai and the Fiends will not win yet will not loose but the battle will be paused. Paused doing what we can till the last minute...' Midoriko paused. `The rest I cannot tell all of us but three volunteers to help me with this.' She began to explain.

`I shall…' The previous female offered.

`Me too.' And the interrupting elder too offered.

`And me' A younger Nyokko offered.

(An: Sorry about that, but those people just don't have names! :P XD)

`Thank you, now, may I speak to the Chiyo and Hiroshiko?' Midoriko asked the rest of the elders. `About the next step that is.' She added. They all nodded. Midoriko stood up from her seat and known by all the lower rank leaders this was the signal that they were about to receive the answer that they were wanting so desperately.

"All the elders have agreed for me to tell you this for it is an foreseen destiny I saw not too long ago and it is time it shall be fulfilled." Midoriko began and everyone in the room sat up straight. "All Chiyos and Hiroshiko shall be in battle against the Fiend until a signal of bright energy light is seen." Midoriko ended.

"Is that all my lady? That is meaning, fight until we see a light?" a Chiyo asked curiously.

"Yes."

It was simple enough to understand now that this destiny shall be made known to all, as the prophecy is to come true and they all nodded to agree with their `plan'.

"Mum, where are we going?"

"I must take you to find safety Kagome, this place is now dangerous."

"But what about you?" another little girl asked.

Midoriko was taking her twin daughters to find the other three Nyokko, and prepare herself to erase the memories of her children so that they maybe safe, and that includes forgetting her. As they turned the corner to reach the court garden, the other Nyokko were waiting for Midoriko.

"Ah! You're here Midoriko, so what do we have to do?" Sara asked. (AN: Arg!! Can't go on without naming them anymore~~! :P)

"I want you two to side aside for a moment but be within this court area." Midoriko ordered her daughters. "And don't come near until I say so."

"Hai okaasan!" The two of them said in unison. With them away from Midoriko paid her attention to her fellow colleagues again.

`It will be no use for me to tell you,' she turned to face them. `It'll be easier this way...' and a light began to surround them.

Not too far away from the distance, the two little girls felt a twinge of power brush against them and turned around to see a bright glow of light surround their mother and the three elders. Curious about it, they went back towards their mother. The closer they got and they realize that the light was in a form of a sphere. Deciding to stop as they remembered their mother's words, they stood and watched. Yet suddenly the ball of light enlarge engulfing the two children into an experience of the knowledge of the future.

~*~*~*~The vision~*~*~*~

Massive destruction was occurring as the children hugged each other closely. Masses of Fiends, destroying anything in sight in Nirvana. Suddenly a bright light emitted from the top of the glass meeting room, attracting every single pair of eyes to the pink beam.

The Fiends shouted their war cry as they charged across the bloody fields and dead bodies of Mitsukais, towards the light. Within a split second every gap of Nirvana with fill with the pink glow and Fiends began in shriek in pain as their bodies began to change.

"Geem gai wooi gum gat?! (Why is this happening?!)"

"Mow how lung ga! (This can't be it!)"

They shouted as they felt their bodies burn to ashes from being purified.

(AN: The strange writing is actually Cantonese with the translation at the side coz I thought these beings, (Fiends and Mitsukais should have a different language to the Earthly beings so I used what I can~ ^^ I don't know jap so*shrugs* and the story is based in Japan too so even if I did know then it wouldn't be right so my mother tongue would be the best, ne? but of course I use English when they are talking amount themselves...)

"Lae dae tan ju, ngo faat sai, ngo yad <err, one in Cantonese lar for `yad'> din woi fan lai wan lae dae gar~!! (Everyone of you listen carefully! I vow that you have not seen the last of me.……!!!!!)" The leader of the Fiends voice vowed as it slowly disappeared.

The two little girls just stood in shock at what they saw hoping it was the end of this mysterious vision, a black mist fogged them up and cleared away again only to show then another. This time it wasn't in Nirvana, but where were they?

They saw their mother walking in the forest with one of the sisters...

"Why is there only one of us?" the younger girl asked her sister.

"I don't know, there's...only...me..."

"I want you to be a good girl and stay here okay? Don't go anywhere else until I come and get you, which may take a while but you stay here okay?!" Midoriko told her child.

"Hai, okaasan, what of -"

"She will be safe so you don't need to worry okay?"

"Okay,"

"Go, now, to that building over there where all the other children are, you see them?"

"Yes, but okaasan, I don't understand what they are saying and why do I have to hide my wings?"

"Don't worry, you will when you get there, you just can here them this far away, that's why is sounds strange and if you didn't they won't play with you, you see? Now go!" The little girl nodded acknowledging her mother, to show that she understood and walked to the direction to the building.

Midoriko watched her daughter go towards the others like her, slowly, she waved a spell on her, making her forget about her past, a child with no memory of Nirvana or anything related, nothing. A tear rolled down her cheek as she took a last look at her daughter and walked away to find her second daughter and whispered, `Take care of yourself, you will be very important to the future destiny of this world..."

Only being able to watch from a far distance, the two girls didn't understand much but before they can do anything about it they were suddenly back in reality.

Their mother stood there looking at them shock.

"You two, what are you doing?! Didn't I tell you go and play else where in the garden?!"

The twins flinched at the harshness of their mother.

"We're sorry!! We didn't mean to do anything! We didn't understand what we saw and -"

"It's okay, you will know it some day anyway." Sara calmed them down, then moments of silence.

*BANG*!!!!

All of the sudden, the ground rumble and the sound of battle began to reach their ears.

"Hurry we must act!" Midoriko told them and the other three Nyokko nodded.

Kagome's eyes snapped open as she awoke from her dream, what was that all about. Her eyes focused and then saw Sesshoumaru's well-built chest in her face and looked up at her peacefully sleeping husband.

(AN: They are sleeping on their sides, okay?)

`Looks like he isn't dreaming huh~' she though and then returned to the previous position, snuggled closer to him. Somehow, Sesshoumaru's embrace around her tighten, responding to her snuggling close to him and the couple slept on...

AN: AHH!! Told you this chapter isn't much on the story like before~~ *waves finger in front of you* anyway, if you didn't understand something, then tell me!! Also, no spoiler this time round :P and hehe~ this is the shortest chapter yet ^^ XP.

whiteAngel-1215: yep, Inuyasha is one of the main characters, it's just that he isn't in much of the first part of the story~~

And there you go, there were about three other reviews that I haven't respond to but their answer is in the above so, yeah~ ^^ And also, the ones from A Single Spark, I didn't save them for this time, but I'll sure will in the next chapter!! ^^
