Hello again, once again, I don’t own Inu Yasha or any of the other characters just the ones I make up on occasion. Always reviews are appreciated so thanks to those who review. On with the story.
Sesshomaru walked in proud as always. He held a black box wrapped in a black ribbon. He sat it on the bed. “A gift to you.” Bowing he left the room.
Kagome watched him go. The box was long and narrow, not much could fit in it. She examined it with curiosity. Sesshomaru knew what would get her attention, but where was Inu Yasha? Surely Sesshomaru couldn’t have slipped passed his brother, heck the door bell hadn’t even rung. Kagome walked to the bed and lifted the box. It was light but heavy. The aura was dead but strong. Everything contradicted itself. She pushed the edge of the ribbon from the top of the box. The rest slid off with a hiss. She lifted the top of the box and tossed it to the bed. Inside was black tissue paper and sutras. Kagome removed them carefully to reveal the sword inside. The sword was sheathed and very old. Almost as old as the Tetsiga and Tensega. She lifted it from the box and traced the length, the details, everything. The long sword was thin and strong. It was old and hadn’t been used in quite a while. Looking to the door, Kagome pressed the hilt to her ear. It snored in a almost deft tone. Tossing the box to the bed she held it as if being presented with it, and in one quick and fluent movement broke the seal. The sword cleared the sheath and flared to life.
Dark energy spilled down the blade from the tip and up her arm. Kagome growled as her own aura flared. The two battled along her hand and the power was anything but normal. The door slammed open and Inu Yasha filled in. Koga stumbled in seconds later. Sesshomaru came in smirking, he leaned against the door jam and watched everything with no emotion.
Inu Yasha screamed something but it was lost in the power. Sesshomaru laughed and Kagome was at a loss. She tried to drop the blade but nothing was responding. The wind in the room picked up and things began to fall, breaking on the floor. Kagome’s heart began to race and it was hard not to scream. Her aura was mixing now with the black aura and Kagome finally let out a scream. A light erupted from her body and she screamed again.
Kagome’s blood was in the air, power wrapped around her and the Jewel of Four Souls glowed brighter than ever. Looking over to her friends, Kagome saw flashes of their full demon sides. She didn’t have time to step back before a pulse of combined power blasted her into the wall at her back. She cracked her eyes open, in one hand was the sword, the other was the jewel. Kami, I beg of you, let me live.prayed. The wind picked up more and began compressing in the middle of the room. All of a sudden it was very hard to breath. Kagome gasped for air, but found it too hard and everything went black.
“HOW COULD YOU SESSHOMARU!?” A voice screamed. Kagome groaned at the sudden burst of sound. A cool towel was placed on her head and she was pulled into a tight embrace.
“Why does this always happen to me?” She moaned. Someone deeper in the room chuckled and then there was movement. There were four demons in the room. Three full and a half. Kagome rolled away from the embrace and onto the floor was a groan. Why her? Pushing herself up she looked around with foggy eyes. There was Inu Yasha standing beside her. Sesshomaru against the wall. Koga on the couch. And another man. He was tall and resembled Sesshomaru. Well Sesshomaru resembled him. Long silver hair was a common thing between Inu Yasha, Sesshomaru and new man. He wore battle armor and a robe of high rank. General or lord maybe.
Taking a deep breath Kagome stood on shaky feet. Inu Yasha put a arm around her and she snarled. “Don’t touch me.” It sounded like a dog and Kagome coughed to clear it away. Inu Yasha stepped back in surrender.
“I’m going to kill you Sesshomaru for this.” Inu Yasha growled.
“That is enough!” The new man snarled at him. Inu Yasha stood tall and challenged the man. “You dare think to win against me?” The man snarled.
“ENOUGH!” Kagome screamed. She coughed afterward but silence came. Closing her eyes she fell to the carpeted floor and coughed over and over again. Holding her sides, she gulped in what air she could but it didn’t seem to help. Opening her eyes wide open she saw the blood splatter on the white carpet. She pulled her hand away from her side and had to look twice at the blood on it. Still coughing she looked at her side and the gash the seemed to still be bleeding. She looked at each of the men and passed out again. One thing on her mind: The jewel.
InuYasha rushed to Kagome’s side. She wasn’t up of this, then again it was hard to tell what she was up for anymore. Kagome’s breathing was ragged and the wound in her side was bleeding again. It was time, and blood that could not be spilt.
“Sesshomaru go get Tensega.” Inu Yasha ordered. Sesshomaru gave his brother a glare but left to get the sword.
Inu Yasha shifted her body lightly, he laid her out on her back and fixed her limbs to lie straight. His father, so Sesshomaru and Koga said, stood in the corner. A lot of help he was. Kagome groaned again. She had done the impossible, brought back the dead. The long dead. Looking up at his father he couldn’t help but jeer.
“Koga. Go get water and help me clean this wound again, we need to heal it up.” Koga nodded and hurried to the kitchen. “I won’t let you die on me.” Inu Yasha whispered and kissed her forehead lightly.
“I don’t plan on it.” Kagome whispered. He laughed lightly.
“That’s my warrior.”
Koga came back with a bowl of water and a towel. “What sucks about your armor is that you can’t rip it easily. And worst of all you have no top.” Inu Yasha growled and unzipped the leather. He lifted her up and pulled it off the arms and laid her down again. Kagome let out a sigh and opened her eyes. She felt the eyes of everyone in the room but it was intense. Almost like back in the streets. Koga dipped the towel in the water and pressed it to her side. Kagome just looked down at him and he locked eyes with her. Kagome looked away.
Sesshomaru walked into the room holding a box. He set it down and opened it. Handing the sword to Kagome he backed away. She was probably to only woman he would let near his sword, let alone hold it.
Tensega waited patiently for Koga to finish cleaning the wound before healing her. She hummed to life in Kagome’s hand and fed her power once again. Kagome could feel the sword’s love of her in the hum and smiled.
Kagome jumped up off the floor and motioned for the men to move. Inu Yasha and Koga jumped out of the way and Sesshomaru and the other man warily moved. Kagome spun and sliced out with Tensega. She began a simple set of moves and exercises. Tensega hummed loud and clear. The swords’ happiness very evident. Kagome spun and caught a glimpse of all the men. Their faces were relaxed and emotionless. She smiled and took a few more minuets to dance with the sword before coming to a slow stop.
Sesshomaru stepped forward taking the sword Kagome offered him after kissing it. He sheathed it and laid it back in the box.
“Very nice.” The man in the corner commented. His voice was smooth and rich. Kagome shivered.
“I believe these boys have been rude. My name is Kagome.” She smiled unsure if she should bow or shake his hand.
“Inu Tashio.” He bowed and Kagome followed. She glanced to Sesshomaru and Inu Yasha and they seemed to be fidgeting.
“Father of Sesshomaru and Inu Yasha, I presume?” Kagome became very formal.
“That would be correct.” Inu Tashio stood tall. However Kagome stayed bowing for a moment longer and then stood straight.
She took a seat on the couch and traced her weapons that lay at her side. Koga moved to sit. Kagome popped the lock on one of the swords and looked up through her eye-lashes. “Start talking.” Her voice stopped Koga cold in mid step. She glared at each men even Inu Tashio. He shivered. She touched the next sword and popped its lock also. Someone gulped. “I don’t know what’s going on but there is a dead man in the house. Start talking.” Her voice was colder than ice.
At once Inu Yasha and Koga started talking. Sesshomaru cleared his troat and they shut up so he could begin.
The story was simply but Kagome was more than shocked when it was done. It was all her fault. She had resurrected a dead man, Inu Tashio, with a evil sword and the jewel.
“Where is the jewel now?” She croaked out. No one said a word. Inu Tashio looked at everyone and let out a sigh. She slid off the fur and armor to reveal his chest. A scar above his heart and a slash over his chest.
“One from battle, an honorable death. The other your jewel.”
Kagome stared at the hard chest of Inu Tashio. He was beautiful. She looked at the long scar that went from the left hip to right shoulder. Then the smaller scar over his heart. The jewel was his heart. Standing on shaky legs was walked over to him and traced the darker flesh. She could feel the pulse of energy under the skin.
Someone coughed behind her and she looked back. Inu Yasha motioned to her body. Looking down she realized she had nothing but the lower part of her armor on.
“Kami.” She growled. Stomping to the bedroom she slammed the door.
Kagome came out moments later in a lace bra and matching underwear. “I have my own scars, my lord.” She stumbled over the words. “However, unlike you I am ashamed of mine.” She let the spell drop that hid the said marks. She stopped to stand in the middle of the four men. Their eyes taking in every inch of her body. It was hard not to run for her weapons and start attacking but she stood there under their eyes. “I am ashamed of mine, received in battles of justice and lies.” She held out her arms and spun.
“You are a warrior then?” Inu Tashio questioned.
“Yes, I am.” She stood still as he stepped closer and traced the many darker makes.
“These round, smaller ones, what are they from? A bow?”
“No something worse. A gun. A metal machine the sends more metal out of it so fast you can not move out of it’s way. It is a coward’s weapon.” The definition was simple and Sesshomaru explained it even more in a older way. Something about firework powder and iron ore.
“Hey Inu Yasha, can we go back to the office soon so I can play with everyone’s swords?” Kagome looked over her shoulder.
“I guess. What are we going to do with dad?” he stumbled over the last word that kagome had to giggle.
“I’ll watch over him while you work.” Kagome giggled. She swatted at Inu Tashio’s hand as he got to close to some parts. She turned to face him, “My lord, do you wish to learn of this newer time?” She said in te tone she first used with her ‘boss’.
“That would be helpful.” He stepped back.
“Ok, boys, first he needs new clothes. Although, I have no clue so you are all on your own.” She turned with a wave and returned to the bedroom shutting the door. Poking her head out she addressed one more thing. “Oh, and I plan on visiting the family by tonight. And Sesshomaru watch your back. It’s your fault for all of this.” She shut the door with a click.
“Moody women.” Koga whispered. “Are you sure she’s not pregnant dog-breath?” Inu Yasha flipped him off and let out a long sigh.
Kagome looked back at the dark apartment. She knew that everyone was awake even if all the lights were out. She sighed as she leapt to the next roof. Running she leapt to the next.
“Why didn’t you just take one of the bikes?” Someone laughed.
“Cause I wanna run.” Kagome raced to the right and jumped to the next roof.
“And what about when you have to jump across the street?” Inu Yasha ran up beside Kagome smiling.
“I’m sure you’ll catch me if I don’t make it.” She smiled and jumped again. Inu Yasha let her go ahead of him.
“I’ll always catch you.” He whispered.
“I know.” Kagome called back. He shook his head and followed her black form as it raced against the roof tops. Sometimes coming up behind her to leap across streets.
Kagome stopped and entered the stairwell of an abandoned factory. Inu Yasha followed on light feet after Kagome. She entered the first landing. Inu Yasha held back a cough at the thick smell of demons and trash. Kagome motioned him to stop and she stepped forward.
“Pissst.” She hissed. “It’s me.” She called.
“Shadow?” Someone answered on the far side of the building.
“Ya. I’m here. With a friend.” She added.
“Is he safe?” The voice asked. Inu Yasha picked it out, coming from behind a pile of rotting wood.
“Safe as me.” Kagome joked.
The voice laughed and stepped out from behind the wood. One more followed. “You look good.” The voice said stepping up to hug Kagome.
“Fell nice.” She laughed. “How are you Ginta? Hakou?”
Inu Yasha’s jaw dropped. A tear slid from his eye as memories flooded his mind.
~~~Flashback
Koga jumped as Inu Yasha swung. “He have him.” Ginta and Hakou yelled as they held on to the enemy. Koga whispered a fair-well as the golden light absorbed them.
~~~~End
Inu Yasha wiped the tear away and stepped into the light.
“Ginta. Hakou. This is my friend Inu Yasha. He’s a dog demon.” kagome held out her hand to Inu Yasha and motioned him forwards.
“Inu Yasha?” The two said as tears welled in their eyes. Kagome glanced between the two confused by the reaction of the two parties. “We though you died?” They cried. “We couldn’t fine you, or our leader.” They cried and held each other for support.
“He came to the castle after the battle and stayed with Sesshomaru and me.” Inu yasha stepped up to stand by Kagome.
“What happened to the others?” Inu Yasha whispered.
“Some died off, the ones that are still alive are in zoos posing as wolves.” Kagome looked at the exchange. Then it hit her hard.
“Koga.” She whispered.
They looked at her and nodded.
“Call the house and get him down here. Tell him to bring money. These guys need food and a lot of...family attention. Ginta, Hakou, come with Inu Yasha and me, we need to get out of here so Koga can find us and I need to get the places to find everyone else.” They all nodded.
Inu Yasha pulled out his cell phone and speed-dialed the apartment.
“Hello? Ya put Koga on the phone.....hey can you meet Kagome, me and a few friends at the corner of 180th and Newton?” Inu Yasha held a finger to his lips as Ginta let out a whine. “Ya I know we’re in the bad side of town...Well no dun! Hey bring the hummer and a couple of grand, plus my credit cards.” Inu yasha growled. “Koga, hurry.” he hung up the phone.
“Your going to give the man a heart-attack.” Kagome grumbled. She crossed her arms.
Inu Yasha laughed at her and swung his arms around Ginta and Hakou. They almost fell. “When was the last time you two ate?” His voice mix between serious and worry.
The two wolves looked at each other. “Well about two days ago we had a dry ramen.” The two confessed.
Inu Yasha growled. “Kagome, we will be going out a lot more.” She nodded and led the way out. “Oh and Kagome.” She looked back at him. “Who else is out there?” Ginta and Hakou looked at each other.
“Quiet a few. I’m sure more are in Japan but they didn’t take the chance that the ones here did.” Kagome sighed. ”They are not lords, or high class. I protect the worlds lower class, while you rich people with jobs sit in front of the t.v and eat your banquets. I protect the lower class because no one else will.” Ginta and Hakou began to cry and Inu Yasha felt a stab of pain in his heart. She was right, how long had they stopped looking for any of their friends, how long had it been. He looked away, ashamed.
“No more.” Inu Yasha growled. He was determined to start looking again.
Ginta and Hakou stood just inside the door as instructed. Koga pulled up to the curb and climbed out leaving the large vehicle running.
“Inside.” Kagome pointed. “Just don’t hit anything.” She warned.
Koga gave her a funny look as he stepped into the door way only to be slammed out of the building and to the sidewalk. The set of trash and wolves filled his nose. Two people crushed themselves to him and he could hardly see who it was. Tears, not his own, ran down his neck.
“Ok boys, let him see who you are for Kami sakes.” Kagome laughed.
Ginta and Hakou leaned up and looked into their leaders face. Koga stared at them and hugged them tightly as tears began to fall.
Inu Yasha smiled at the reunion. The family was getting bigger, but not the one he wanted. He looked sideways at Kagome. She looked at him and smiled. He smiled back and motioned her to the building. She nodded and followed him.
Once away from the group of wolves, Inu Yasha cornered Kagome against a beam. She looked up at him. “Marry me.” He smiled. “I want us to be that happy.”
Kagome looked up at him and thought about the future. She never thought that she would live even this long. The thought of a family and a life made her glow. “What happened to the courting idea?” Kagome teased.
“Well.” Inu Yasha drew on taking the chance to lean down and kiss her neck. Kagome’s arms wrapped around him and he took her skin biting it softly. She let out a purr.
Stepping away he looked down at her as she took in ragged breaths. “You’ve been acting more like a dog demon since you handled that swords and brought dad back. And to think of it, your scent is a little different. And there is no way you could jump that 15-feet alley the way you did.” Inu Yasha looked over Kagome. It wasn’t a bad thing but it was strange.
“It sound like you don’t like the changes, but in truth your right, I feel stronger.” Kagome stepped up into Inu Yasha pressing against his body. “I don’t care right now though. I accept your offer ,under one condition.” She walked around him running a finger over his should until she reached his back. She pressed herself against him and kissed his back. “Catch me.” She laughed and took off running out of the building.
Inu Yasha stood there a minute before getting over the shock. She accepted...she accepted. He burst out of the building looking down the road and in the sky. Koga, Ginta and Hakou were sitting against the wall talking.
“She accepted but I have to catch her.” Inu Yasha whispered. His blood was boiling with anticipation. Looking around again, ignoring the funny looks from his friends, he saw her five blocks down waiting.
Inu Yasha felt his demon side rush through his veins and over the edge. He eyes changed from gold to red. His fangs longer. Claws longer. He growled and charged after her at top speed. He wanted her, and he would have her. Kagome waved and jumped into a window. Inu Yasha reached the building and jumped for the window. The room was empty and the door was missing. He charged out of the room into the hall. Stopping he listened for footsteps but was at a loss when silence came. His breathing was in short, heavy pants. Following her scent, he was lead back outside and back to the apartment. Koga had yet to return, but his mind wasn’t on his friend but on the girl hiding.
He burst into the apartment. Sesshomaru and dad had left to go visit Rin, thankfully. Stalking into his room he gasped. Kagome lay on the bed in black lacy and rose petals. She looked up at him from her position on her side.
“You never caught me.” She teases.
Growling he smiled the demon smile of times to come. “I do believe that you can not escape. So that would lead to you being caught.”
Kagome smiled. “Ahhh. Well then I guess that would mean we are engaged.”
“Hum, I guess it would.” he smiled. Jumping, Inu Yasha landed lightly on top of Kagome as she rolled to her back.
“Be gentle with me, my love.” She relaxed under him.
Kagome woke in the circle of Inu Yasha’s arms. Her shoulder hurt like hell. Sighing she tried to sit up but a jolt of pain lashed through her body, unable to hold in the cry of pain she curled into a ball.
“Kagome?” Inu yasha was awake at the sound of Kagome’s cry. She curled around his arm and whimpered. He looked her over and stopped, wide eyed at the large bite mark on her right shoulder. The scars that were once there were faded compared to the red contrast of the bite. He gasped at it lightly reaching up to touch his teeth. They were sharper and he felt stronger. Kagome uncurled from his arm.
“I’m so cold.” She shivered. Inu Yasha nodded stupidly and pulled the blankets around them pulling her gently against his chest. Kagome snuggled into his body and welcomed the warmth.
Someone knocked at the door. “Who is it?” Inu Yasha said loudly. Kagome whined and he held her tighter.
“It’s me daddy.” Inu Yasha swore softly against Kagome’s neck.
“Me and mom aren’t dressed, what’s wrong?” Inu Yasha said.
“I don’t care, can I come in?” The boy sounded distressed. Kagome nodded to no one.
“Ya just shut the door.” Shippo opened the door as little as possible and scrambled it shutting it lightly. He approached the bed and jumped onto the covers walking carefully.
“I don’t feel so good.” The boy confessed.
Inu yasha motioned Shippo over and felt his forehead. He had a high fever and looked pale for being the color he normally was.
Another person knocked. “What?” Inu Yasha growled. Kagome whimpered louder and curled up again.
Koga peeked in this time. “I think we all got the flu or something.” His once tanish- bronze skin was dull and gray. His eyes widened at the state of the woman at his friend’s side. “What happened?” Koga stepped into the room.
Inu Yasha felt the need to protect Kagome, but held it back. “We mated, she will live at my side until I die.” He whispered.
Kagome looked back at Inu Yasha and smiled. She was so happy to hear those words.
“But, I think that it went wrong.” Fear laced the words and Kagome frowned.
“Magic.” She whispered with a cracked voice.
Inu Yasha’s eyes widened with fear. It had never crossed his mind that the two magicks, miko and demonic, would not mix. His hand slid from her waist to the bite on her shoulder. There was no way to stop the transformation now.
Kagome moved to lay on her back. She wiggled to lay just right. Once comfortable she closed her eyes and folded her arms over her chest like a corpse.
“No, no, no.” Inu Yasha begged. He leaned over her body and touched the cold skin of her arm. “Kagome please, just stay with us.” He looked around the room but saw no help. “Koga do something.” He yelled in fear. His voice holding sorrow, tears, and every emotion he had for his love.
Koga turned from the room and ran. Inu Yasha hearing yelling in the room but didn’t listen to hard, to busy worrying on what could go wrong next. He checked Kagome’s pulse. It was slow, too slow. Moving his hand down he felt her heart. It was coming to a spot.
“Kagome!” He screamed as the door burst open.
Shippo had taken to the pillows watching everything. He could hear Kagome’s heart stopping and fear welled up inside. He didn’t want to loose another mother. Not again.
Koga ran to the side of the bed and touched Kagome’s forehead, she was cold and clammy. Sesshomaru and Inu Tashio raced into the room.
Inu Tashio hardly knew this girl but the connection was strong. After all she had rescued him from the depths of hell and gave him another chance at life with his sons.
Inu Yasha moved away from Kagome and reached under the bed grabbing Tetsiga. Sesshomaru rushed out of the room at get his own sword. Inu Tashio looked at his side where worn leather held his own legendary sword; S’ounga. Sesshomaru entered the room again, Tensega drawn. Inu Yasha and Inu Tashio drew their swords and looked at each other.
Inu Yasha slid off the bed. Koga moved Kagome to the middle of the bed and stepped way.
Inu Yasha took a position to the left while Sesshomaru stood across from him at the right of the bed. Inu Tashio stood at the foot of the bed and held his sword flat over Kagome. Inu Yasha and Sesshomaru followed.
Kagome’s eyes flew open. It was suddenly hot under the blankets and she kicked them off. Armor pressed from under her skin up. It flashed to a gown and back to armor. Looking around wildly she stared at each man in the room. Shippo had scampered over to stand with Koga leaving the dogs to be in sight.
Kagome opened her mouth looking up at the ceiling. “I conquered..... a sword of.... destruction... I will conquer... power.” She hissed out.
Rolling over she felt the power around her lessen and looked up through her hair to see a sword being lowered. Something broke through her skin causing a pain that never ended. Rolling over she looked down her bare body seeing a armor of non-human bones and strange fabric. Spreading her arms wide she looked through her hair again down on arm. It was covered to the mid-upper arm with gloves of a grayish color. The fabric ended with a metal bracelet around her arm engraved with symbols. Looking to the other side she saw the same thing. Her chest was growing heavier with each breath. Looking down a large breast plate in the form of a corset made of bone hugged her form down to her hips coming to a point further down between her legs. From there it was hard to tell what was next.
Sitting up she found it hard and fell back to the sheets. Inu Yasha jumped at her and helped her to sit up. Pulling and combing her hair back with his claws. Kagome heard him gasped and looked ahead to see Inu Tashio’s eyes grow very wide. Scooting, with help from Inu Yasha, she made it to the end of the bed and stood tall on thigh-high boots. Looking down she realized from the bone at the top of her hips down was a gray skit the stretched two inches too short to touch the boots. She sighed and moved to the mirror on the closet door.
Heheheheh. Ok I’m done for now. I’m kinda bored and out of ideas...soooo. This is all you get for now. Review please.
OH AND REVIEW AND TELL ME IF SHE SHOULD:
1) have doggy ears
2) have her hair turn silver
3) nothing change
4) have doggy ears and silver hair
5) something else (your suggestion)
I’m not sure and I would like reader opinions in the story. So until next time. This is ~~~DARK~~~ signing off.

~~~Flashback
Koga jumped as Inu Yasha swung. “He have him.” Ginta and Hakou yelled as they held on to the enemy. Koga whispered a fair-well as the golden light absorbed them.
~~~~End
