I was reading my reviews and someone brought a point to my attention that I've forgotten. So here is that little detail that should make some of you all happy.

It was like all the others. Dirty, smelly, narrow, and long. At the very back someone huddled down. It smell of blood but nothing was dead. Taking a few more steps in Kagome looked around. Something was wrong. Drawing a sword Kagome stepped in the alley further. She passed two other open areas and quickly searched them with her eyes. Taking a breath through her mouth she pressed on into the alley.

Inu Yasha pushed himself to run faster, he barely felt the mating mark in his head, but what was there he could track. How she had made to the other side of the town in less than two minutes was beyond him but that was for later not now.

Sesshomaru watched his brother run, it was obvious where the girl was. The power was enormous and he even had problems not going. Right now the power was wild and intoxicating. He looked down at the roads. Demons were being attracted to her. He didn't really care what happened to her but she had given him his arm back, something he wouldn't have had for a lot longer time than she would be alive.

Kagome stepped cautiously. Something was following her, a lot of somethings. Pivoting Kagome looked behind her. So far the alley was clear but not for long. Kagome picked up her pace down the alley and came to a dead end. This couldn't be right. Kagome looked behind her and gulped at the number of demons waiting. She was screwed.

Looking up to see if she had any escape she growled in frustration at the demons over looking her.

“Looks like you came after all.” Kagome looked towards the vice hidden in the shadows. Damn the new demonic crap was messing her up or she was going soft.

“Who are? Why did you summon me?” Kagome snarled. It was easy to tell the voice wasn't hurt or in danger.

“You have connections to the Tashio Company. I want Inu Yasha and Sesshomaru both dead.”
”I'm sorry but I don't do corporate killing.”
”Oh but the word on the street is that you do.” The man stepped from the shadows. His long black hair was slightly wavy. He reminded Kagome of a spider.

“You heard wrong.” Kagome stood tall and tighten her stance just a little more.

“The dogs come.” Those were the last words before the man disappeared and the demons attacked.

“Crap. Fuck me.” Kagome groaned as she was met head on with more than a thousand low level demons. She was loosing. Badly. Sending out a pulse of purifying aura Kagome fell to the ground in exhaustion. The alley was empty but there was sure to be more demons in a few moments. Kagome looked out with blurry eyes. Someone stood at the front to the small aisle and looked at her a moment before rushing towards her. Kagome picked up her blades with `jello' arms and tried to stand.

“Are you ok?” It sounded like a man, like someone she knew but it wasn't safe. Something over took her and everything went red.

Energy flowed from vein to vein through Kagome. It had no set destination and as it moved it burned. Kagome snarled and thrashed. Arms held her down and Kagome fought them. Someone was talking to her but she didn't care. It was a foreign language to her.

Inu Tashio looked down the alley where the pulse had come from. Nothing was left of the demon horde that had been there moments ago. Kagome lay at the end. Her blood wasn't in the air but then again the stench of demon was strong. Kagome looked up at him and reached from her swords. He watched as she pulled herself up and stood in a defensive position. Her sweet smell that had filled his nose at rebirth was now almost like his. A full demon's. Kagome fell again and started to fight it. He rushed to her side and held her arms down so she couldn't hurt herself.
”Kagome it's me. Calm down. Kagome. It's Inu Tashio. Relax.” His words seemed to fuel her drive to move and he was starting to have problems holding her. The sword at his side hummed.

Inu Yasha rounded the entrance and was at his mate's and father's side in seconds. Sesshomaru dropped from the sky.

“She can't hear me.” The elder said calmly. “This is exactly why women always need saving, they never listen.”
”Ya well don't tell her that she'll kill you.” Inu Yasha laughed. He placed a hand on Kagome's chest and pushed it down. The bone armor was cold under his hand. Kagome snarled and looked up at him but her struggling came to a complete stop.

The couple starred at each other and Kagome seemed to rise on strings. They stood together in one movement, his hand still on her chest.

“Can you hear me?” InuYasha whispered.

Kagome growled. InuYasha understood her answer and nodded. She had no clue what she was doing. Looking around he looked for the reason why she would come this far into the alley. Nothing stood out at him.

“Do you know who called you here?” He asked. Kagome tilted her head to the side and looked around. She woofed and turned jumping the fence in a single bound she looked like an angel as she floated up and over the wood. Inu Yasha looked at his brother and father before following.

Kagome looked around. She had no clue where to go. Looking up at the sky she looked for some sign. Exhaustion filled her. Someone landed behind her and she turning her fists raised.

Inu Yasha ducked as Kagome's fist breezed by his head.

Kagome stumbled and fell into his chest. “When did you get here?” Kagome muttered.

“Awhile ago. Come on let's find your victim and get you home.” Inu Yasha looked around, passed Kagome to Sesshomaru and ran ahead.

Two young girls huddled at the end of a side alley. They were bloody and beat. Inu Yasha approached slowly but they cried out and huddled farther in the dirt and trash.

“Damn it.”
Sesshomaru carried the exhausted Kagome around the corner and down the alley.

“It's alright, we're here to keep you safe.” Kagome groaned out. She was too tired to make it seem anything but harsh. They whimpered and sniffled in the trash and grim of the alley. Kagome flinched at the noises and moved towards them. “You have summoned me to protect you. I have heard you voices in the sky and seek you out to destroy what hurt you. Please tell me who has done this.” Kagome kneeled half way down the alley.

“It was a man, he kidnapped us. We were there for days; he raped us, and laughed at our pain. He shared us with the others. We just want to go home.” The older of the two cried.

“Do you remember anything about this man?”
”He had a spider tattoo on his back, a burn scar.” The younger sobbed. The older girl quieted her and looked to Kagome for help.

“Thank you. I will try and find him so you can rest with ease. For you have or think of anything else please summon me. If I do not come someone else will as soon as they can. But do not try and remember things that will hurt you more than help. Do you remember where you live?”

“No, it's been so long.”

“Would you mind if we dropped you off at the police station and let them help you to find your home?”

“No, that is fine.” The girls seemed to relax more and more as the conversation had been going on.

Kagome smiled and stood, Inu Yasha returned to her side and let her on him. The girls crept out of the corner and towards her. “Are you ok?”

“Fine, just tired.” Kagome admitted. “Inu Yasha can you take them to the police station. Inu Tashio can take me home. I need sleep and I need to talk to him.” Inu Yasha kissed her on the head and helped her to his father.

“Just be careful. You shouldn't even be out here but I admire your loyalty.” Inu Yasha smiled as she was scooped up in strong unfamiliar arms and carried home.

Inu Yasha came home twenty minutes later. Kagome was on the couch with a pillow and a blanket. She had a cup of tea and the TV was on. “Where is dad?”

“With Shippo. Koga is getting everyone food and should be here in a few. Sesshomaru told me to tell you to call him in the morning. Rin says hi.”

“Ok. Are you felling better?”

“Ya, Inu Tashio and I talked about the jewel and you and Sesshomaru and being a demon and some other things.” Kagome smiled at him and patted the couch for him to sit.

Inu Yasha sat down on the edge of the couch and gently moved a piece of her hair behind her ear. “What other things?”

“Other things.” Kagome smiled and winked.

“Do you need anything?”

“Na, Koga just arrived with food. But I could do with a kiss.” Inu Yasha smiled and leaned down to kiss her with everything he had in his heart.

“Anything else?” He asked after a moment.

Kagome sat up further and moved forward, “sit with me.” He sat behind her and pulled her into his lap.

Koga opened the door and stepped in with Ginta and Hakou, all three carrying bags of food. “We got extra of everything cause with Lord Inu no Tashio back and Kagome…well more is better than not enough.”

Inu Yasha nodded and pulled Kagome closer.

“Koga.” Kagome called as the small pack of wolves' disappeared into the kitchen.

“Yes? He poked his head out.

“Thank you for everything.”

He smiled and slightly bowed his head. “Anything for you.” He meant it from the very bottom of his soul. “You better take care of her mutt.” He teased Inu Yasha.

“Keh, You know I will.”

Koga went into the kitchen and returned carrying two plates and two sets of chopsticks.

“Just set mine on the table.” Kagome smiled and pushed the magazines and papers to the floor with her foot. Taking Inu Yasha's plate Kagome took and offered him a bite of meat. The hanyou accepted it and took the next piece offered.

Inu Yasha finished his food and moved so he could feed Kagome. He had to admit to himself he liked her feeding him and then being able to feed her.

Koga took a seat in front of the couple leaning against the couch, his brothers next to him. Shippo and Inu Tashio came out of the back a few minutes after everyone was settled. The older man helped the kitsune get food with some simple instructions from the boy on how it worked. The two joined the small group in the living room in front of the TV. Kagome picked up her son between bites and settled him down. The elder smiled at her actions and took a seat on a chair not far from them.

After the wolves had crashed and Inu Tashio and Shippo had retired, Inu Yasha carried Kagome to their room. “Kagome before we leave I need you to check something out. It doesn't have to right now.” He placed her on the bed and brushed her silver hair from her face. Kagome looked up at her lover and nodded.

“What would you have of me?” She smiled as her mind shifted to her job.

Inu Yasha was more than surprised as Kagome shifted to that of a killer. Her mind and body seemed to become unreadable. “A man named Naraku in Boston, he has a file taped to the top of his desk under the pull out keyboard. I want you to get it.” Inu Yasha sat down on the bed and looked straight into his mate's eyes. “Beware it is very heavily guarded and if you can't get it then do not risk getting caught.”

“There is nothing that I can not do. I will get what you ask of me before the end of the week.” Kagome bowed her head and slightly closed her eyes. “Is there anything else?”

“I can think of a few more…personal things.” He growled and covered her body. Once again Kagome's whole body shifted and she became soft and loving again.

“And what would my mate have of me?” Kagome laughed as he tickled her but at her words he stopped.

“Your mate would like sons and daughters and the rest of eternity with you at his side.” Inu Yasha wasn't laughing at her but just staring into the depths of her eyes.

“Your wish will be granted.” Kagome smiled and leaned up to kiss him.

Leaning down he once again covered her body this time though his hands were not moving across her flesh to tickle her but to feel it. Her reached under her shirt and cupped a breast in one hand while the other played across her stomach. Groaning into the kiss Kagome arched to the touch, her hands moving to fist in his hair. Pulling away from the kiss she turned her head to the side and gave him complete control.
The hanyou above her growled into her neck and she could feel his aura changing. She felt him full away and when he looked into her eyes she smiled and took one of his hands and placed the now longer claw at the top of her shirt. Nodding she smiled and the demon shredded her clothing. He kissed her skin and nipped at the creamy flesh. After a moment she stopped him and pushed him off her gently. “Let mate help.” She grumbled in soft syllables. The demon growled and waited for her to do as she had asked. She mentally thanked the elder just down the hall for the quick lessons in Inu mating and life. Making a mental note to remind herself to make a deal with the old Lord, she ripped at Inu Yasha's shirt.

Once all the clothing had been ripped away Kagome laid down once more and offered her neck. Inu Yasha gazed down at his mate and smiled. Kagome shivered at the sight of the battle length fangs that had replaced the small ones.

“Be gentle.” She whispered and pulled him to her.

It wasn't long before she felt him make the arrangements to enter her body. She licked at the shoulder right above her and smiled as the demon growled.

The nip on her neck, over her mating mark, and the hard thrust into her body came at the same time, hitching her breath in her throat. Her mate waited a second as she moved to get more comfortable before beginning.

The sun was just rising outside the window when her mate started to stir. She hadn't slept and now standing just in front of the window in nothing but one of Inu Yasha's shirts holding coffee, she laughed to herself. It wasn't like she needed the sleep it was that there was planning and research to do for a mission. Turning she moved back to the bed, setting the half empty cup on the nightstand she leaning down to cover her mate. “Come on love, it's time to get up.” She whispered in his fuzzy ear. Kagome lightly reached out and began to massage the triangle.

Inu Yasha growled and pulled the cover over his head; above him Kagome smiled and pulled the shirt off. Taking a second to place her hands she stripped the sheet from him. Inu Yasha mumbled something and rolled over. Kagome took the chance and quickly slipped onto the bed straddling his hips. Inu Yasha was instantly awake.

“Haven't you had enough?” He sighed.

“If you want more sons and daughters than just Shippo then you better stop complaining.” She leaned down slowly spreading her hands across his cheat and slightly rolling her hips to brush his member. It instantly came to life between her legs. She continued to lean down, looking through her hair up at him se slipped down into the crook of his neck and nipped at the pulse point.

Kagome finally let Inu Yasha sleep into a blissful sleep as she crawled from bed to the shower. The jets of water relaxed the tired muscles. She should have ignored the call last night but regret wasn't an emotion she had. Instead she felt tired and used. Like every motion was a hundred times harder to make then it was suppose to be. Taking a minute to stop and breath for the first time Kagome realized that she was no longer alone. She had someone to lean on. Someone to talk to about what she had seen and felt.

Lunch was eaten down the street at a hole-in-the-wall dinner. Inu Tashio was awed by the history spread along the walls. Records, pictures, autographs and so much more took every inch and overlapped. The others weren't to interested as he was but let the man indulge.

“I'm taking a couple days to go and relax outside of town.” Kagome started the conversation as their food arrived. Rin and Sesshomaru looked at her in question. Along with Miroku and Sango, Koga and his brothers, Ginta and Haku, Shippo, Inu Tashio and finally Inu Yasha. “I plan on thinking about my future. It's obvious that if I plan on having a family that I can't go and protect the city. Inu Yasha has told me of a plan to go to Colorado in the near future. Also, in order to do that, I must find someone to protect in my place or find a place to protect those who need it.”

Inu Yasha understood, she had mentioned this all before and it didn't surprise him. He just didn't understand why she had to go out of town. It wasn't safe, after all she had just gone thought a very large change. A change that no one was sure of yet.

“When do you plan on leaving?”

“Tomorrow, and I plan on being gone three days.”

“Why three?”

Kagome looked over the table to Inu Yasha trying to silently communicate to him. She didn't want to flat out say she was going on a mission for him, but what she was saying had truth to it also. After Koga had found his brothers, they were not so hesitant about the people she interacted with but more open. Ya demons were in shorter numbers than humans but coming out into the open wasn't a choice. Demons wouldn't be welcome, some ages groups yes, but as a collective world no.

Inu Yasha took a bite of his food and looked up at his mate. “I know I shouldn't ask, but with your new powers and,” he paused, “changes, shouldn't you wait a bit, or at least have someone come with you?”

Kagome wanted to reach across the table and slap the back of his head.

Inu Tashio looked up from his cheeseburger and mumbled through the food. ”He's right you know. It hasn't been very long and after your accident you should wait.”

“You had an accident Kagome?” Sango leaned across the table to look down the line of chairs.

Now her mate wasn't the only one Kagome was going to have a talk with. Only three people knew about her black out and what really happened. And in her opinion the three that did know what to many.

“I'm fine, Sango. I think I was tired. I mean look at me, I'm completely different. It's not a bad change but not one I'm use too.” Kagome didn't want to sound like she hated it, but in fact she wasn't all that happy with it, the increased sense of smell and hearing could be forgotten.

Inu Yasha sensing her change in mood decided it was time to change the subject. “So with the bomb threat, I can only think that Naraku had something to do with it. It would be best to let the workers have a paid vacation and add extra cameras. Worst comes to worst, Kagome hits him. I think it would also be in our best interest to have a merger with a company Naraku hates. Nothing major just bring them into the loop.”

Sesshomaru noticed the tension building and continued the conversation with his brother. “I agree, I think we should merger with his biggest rival. Make it public, maybe host a ball for the companies and have the signing all in one night.”
”A ball would be good, Miroku, Sango can you start researching through his rivals? See who his biggest competition is other than us. Rin why don't you and Sess work on the Ball. I'll work with Kagome and Koga to find out why Naraku is doing this.”

“What about dad?” Kagome spoke up. “And Shippo. They are now apart of this. I think I'll work with Shippo and train with him and dad, you guys worry about the other stuff, I can't really help.” She let the words hang in the air.

“Where are you going to train?” Miroku asked. The other suite in the business building was out of the question, especially with the bomb threat.

“Well head out to that field we found. Inu Yasha I think we should invest in some land, we'll be tearing up a lot of it, I'm sure your dad has some muscles to stretch, and Shippo will be learning who knows what will happen with him.”

“You make a fine point my dear, back in my day of glory,” Inu Tashio started. Inu Yasha turned his ears to listen, and Sesshomaru rolled his eyes. “I use to have three great swords that I ruled my lands with. You have met all three I have heard. I was very impressed with the heaven sword's song. I have also heard you can make any sword sing.” It was a sentence with a hint of a question. Kagome glared at Inu Yasha and when he shrank away her glare turned to Koga then Sesshomaru. All three men cowered at the look of ice she gave them. A beating was very near in their future.

“I am unsure of how to respond father. I have touched very few swords much like the wolf tribe sword and the other three. I find it a bit over-kill to say I can make swords sing and it apply to all. A few maybe but all is a bit much.”

“We shall have to test that. I'm sure some of my very, very old friends are still around. If not then their hiding places shouldn't be too hard to find.”

“Myoga and Jaken are both alive and well.” Sesshomaru put in.

“Last I heard Totosai was in Hawaii.” Inu Yasha added.

“Well that will be for later, maybe we can forge Kagome a few blades of her own. Your fangs should work very well.” Inu Tashio smiled.

“I have others to care for before my brother's mate. Like my own.” Sesshomaru huffed.

“Will Rin even touch your sword son?” Seeing his son and his mate fidget he was sure that she hadn't or couldn't. “The Inu pride and honor is strong, however if she can't hold it then she can not be your mate. It won't kill her but until you weapon accepts her, of it's own free will, will you have children. Yes it is obvious that Kagome can hold all our swords but she is one woman, and over the course of history there could have been many like her, but for this time and age she is the only one. Your mate must hold your sword! That is the way it works.” Inu Tashio growled at his pup's stupidity. Sesshomaru seems to have potential when he was but only a few years old but now that was very questionable.

“My Lord, if I may speak?” Kagome waited for him to nod the okay before continuing. “Koga's, Sesshomaru's, your's and Inu Yasha's swords have all accepted me, and I have been told of the next course of action. The fight, till death, for me. I am also aware that for reasons that are none of my business, a person's swords hold a part of them. All of my swords are an extension of me, and I believe that Sesshomaru and Rin are not ready for such a high honor. After all, it has only been recently that Tensaga has been used. In the beginning Sesshomaru thought it worthless.” The glares directed around the table were countless but she continued on. “His desire for Tetsiga was greater than his love of Rin. When Rin came to him, I believe, and they mated he still found it useless, however, he lost the lust for power. Your sword was still your sword. It was worthless to him because it could not kill and it could not protect the way he wanted it to. Tensaga has talked to me and it feels like it failed you, but it feels a deeper failure to Sesshomaru. She doesn't agree with his mating to Rin for the reasons he did it, but she will be waiting for him when he needs her. Tensaga just wants to be cared for.” She shot a glare at Sesshomaru, “she wants respect and for it she will give it back. I also must add the Rin needs to accept the fact that all swords are not killing devises, because Tensaga is insulted by it, that is why of the hesitancy and the fear. You both know it and so does Tensaga.” Kagome took a drink of water.

“As for you Inu Yasha, you need to talk with your sword. That thick head of yours needs to have someone to bust through it and Tetsiga is the only thing that will do it, cause you don't listen to me very much.”

Inu Tashio laughed at the words coming from his youngest mate's mouth, she knew what she said and it was true.

“And you, my lord.” She growled, at once everyone silenced and turned all eyes to the two. “Your sword needs a shorter leash. Next time I use it I expect it to behave better, from the stories I've heard, you're lucky you had a world to come back to. Your sword is the worst behaved I have every touched. I could compare it to Sesshomaru's second sword but at least his didn't try and take my body from me!” She had everyone's attention now has she hissed the words. “There is a fine line between wanting blood and wanting death. Your sword crosses the line. Koga is the only one I can say has a well treated and behaved sword. As for the rest of you, you're pathetic swords-men.”

Sesshomaru and Inu Tashio both stood and snarled down at the girl. Kagome managed to look them both in the eye and snarl back giving them a look to freeze the world.

“You dare say that to Lord Inu Tashio?”
”You dare insult this Sesshomaru?” They snarled at her together.

“I speak the truth.” Kagome stood and turned to leave. “Inu Yasha I'd like to speak with you when you get home. Alone.” Kagome dismissed herself from lunch leaving behind a barely eaten hamburger and fries.

Inu Tashio and Sesshomaru sat down with a final glare at the door as Kagome left.

“Stupid bitch, needs to learn her place.” Inu Tashio muttered.

“That is enough. You will not speak about her in that manner, nor will you talk behind her back. Ya she insulted you but I think you both damn well deserve it. I admit I don't take perfect care of Tetsiga, but I at least take it out and practice with it. And you Sesshomaru you treat Tensaga worst than a pile of crap. As for you father it took us the greater part of a decade to stop S'ounga. Kagome has a point. Koga is much better then we are with our swords and we should give them and her a little more credit. She has done too much for each of us to talk so bad about her. I hate to call you my family.” Inu Yasha stood up and left without another word.

Sango, Miroku, Rin, Koga, Ginta and Hakou watched him leave.

Rin pushed at her salad with a heavy weight on her heart. Sesshomaru shared his immotality with her and for almost 40 years they had been trying to have a child, she didn't know her fear of his sword was keeping them from a family. “She's probably right. Hell even Inu Yasha is right. We owe Kagome a lot and this is how we repay her? I think we need up face up to our fears, Kagome lived in the streets for years and she's facing everything without a flinch. And here we are rich and famous. Inu Yasha is a business man and a mayor, he should know these kind of things, but here, even him, is so far in the dark he is past blind. We all are. Sesshomaru when we get home I want to have a one on one with tensaga.” She stood up and ran out to hopefully catch up with her bother and sister-in law.
