[ X - Adult: No readers under 18. Contains Graphic Adult Themes/Extreme violence. ]

Ok last time we had some back and forth parts, I've had some reviews of people complaining about the story jumping around so this is just a basic summery that you can read to catch up or understand better, but I suggest rereading the parts you don't understand rather then this.

Summery:
Kagome grew up on the streets. Her friend dies and she kills for revenge, which starts her whole life. Doing odd jobs she gets enough money to by swords, and other bladed weapons. Protecting the city she ends up getting caught one night, only to be bailed out by none other then our favorite hanyou. She becomes his personal assassin and kills one of his biggest rivals. He offers her food, and shelter for the deed; which she accepts. They fall in love, mate and she brings the long dead Inu No Tashio back who likes being called Tash. :P . All while saving the city from gangs, and trying to live a normal life. Shortly after getting mated though she has problems and ends up a half demon. ……

Now wasn't that easy? takes deep breath Ya I know that it's a bit out of order but those are the key points.

ON WITH THE UPDATE!!!!!
I own no one….

Kagome heard a thunk against the wall as she came out of the elevator. Just as she opened the door a roar echoed down the wall. Running she burst into the apartment to see her friends and her mate all looking at her and them she saw…herself?

“I leave for a half a day and no one can keep the peace?!” It wasn't that she was mad really but coming home to find her mate nude, everyone staring and a copy of herself was a bit more then she expected. To top it all off she was exhausted. Her stomach was flip-flopping and she was dizzy. Blood loss? “Half a day people” She growled.
“Now Kagome you have to understand this is all new to us. The copy I mean come here only twenty minutes ago.” Koga motioned for her to calm down which only pissed her off more.
Her eyes slit, “Don't try and clam me down, do you realize the crap I'm dealing with? I have an assignment, I've been questioned by a baboon asking if I'll kill my mate and his brother, and to top it off, I come back to the place I call home to find a copy of myself pinned in the corner by my mate, who I might add is wearing nothing. What the hell and I suppose to be calm about?!”
Mouths dropped to the floor. No one knew what to say.
Sesshomaru stepped forward first and cleared his throat. “You say a baboon confronted you?”
“Well duh I just said that. Inu Yasha kill her, she's a doll.” Kagome didn't even look to her mate as she spoke to him. She was to tired and way to annoyed.
“And this assignment, can you tell us what it is?”
This time Kagome did look to her mate. Inu Yasha was dusting himself off, having taken control again and disposed of the fake Kagome. He grabbed the fallen towel and gave on nod.
“Inu Yasha wanted me to go to the office of a Naraku and retrieve a file.”
Sesshomaru's head shot up to look her in the eyes then to his brother. “You fool.” He hissed. “She can't get that file without dying.”
“Well I didn't know that he had talked to her already.” Inu Yasha snarled back in defense.
“Technically we didn't talk, he just tried to employ me.” Kagome corrected.
“Naraku is a long time enemy. It has only been in the last few decades that we have changed strategies from battles to company wars. We as demons have backed off and took to respecting the human laws. Many of us have been hiding in our demon forms, too weak to do anything in a world so big. Then there are demons like Inu Yasha, Koga and myself, that have the power and resources to get major footholds in the political realms” Sesshomaru paced the room almost pulling out his hair. “Naraku was alive 500 years ago. Inu Yasha and I were at war between each other. Koga had his own world, as did I. He the North; I the West. Naraku was in the beginning a bandit that had, near death, fallen in to the hands of a priestess named Kikyo.” Inu Yasha flinched at the name but remained quiet. “She cared for him until one day while she was away, he called for many lesser demons. He made a deal and took them all into his body. His human side, Onigumo, was destroyed and Naraku came forth.”
Koga stepped up next and continued. “Kikyo had control of the Shikon no Tama, Jewel of four souls. Naraku wanting more power attacked her and her love, killing her and tricking her into imprisoning her love. Many years passed and the ruling Lords of the lands realized that Naraku needed to be killed, but we could never find him. News of Kikyo's lover's imprisonment reached everyone's ears and we decided that it was time to release him in hopes of information to kill Naraku.” Koga took a breath.
“Sadly, he had no information. We all banded together. And one day our chance came. Naraku had created many stronger demons from his body. We all fought and in the end many died. Naraku disappeared. Then centuries ago he reappeared as a business tycoon. Inu Yasha, Sesshomaru and I had already had many footholds so we started our battle more civilized.”
Inu Yasha took over. “Naraku has one think we don't, we have an idea of what it is but no idea where he got it. That is what I wanted you to get. We believe it is the original story of how the Shikon no Tama was created. Each detail step by step. If that is what it is then we must destroy it. The jewel which you carried that now belongs to our father is shielded. Naraku probably felt it flare up when you brought back the dead but doesn't know why it flared. Father is in no danger. The jewel is happy and is strong enough to keep him alive and well, and you powerful.”
Kagome shook her head. “I never tapped the jewel. What I have and use is all me.”
Glances were exchanged. “No mortal can hold that power, we all assumed it was the jewel that made you powerful.” Sesshomaru replied.
“No one know of the jewel. I didn't even know until I was three. I had a dream of a woman warrior. She told me about it and the dangers I'd be facing. She showed me things. Things I'll never tell and things that someone should know about. She explained it all and showed me what I had to do. It wasn't until the people I cared about started dying that I understood I needed to be strong. I know when I explained it all my date were probably messed up. But you must understand on the streets there are no days, years, months. It's seconds. If you can't survive one second you don't get another. If you can then you get the chance at another, if you fuck up then you're dead. End of story.”
Kagome dropped her cover spell and all her scars were clear as day. “This is second by second.” She pulled the spell back around her. “And you're precious year by year. You may never understand and then again you may understand crystal clear, but our worlds were meant to diverge. Habit die hard, and weeks ago, I'd would have killed you all. You take advantage of the people with less money. You don't even give us a second glance.”
“I've threatened Koga. I've wanted nothing more then to put a knife in his heart. But the past few weeks I've realized that even if it's all your faults, I can only blame myself. It's my fault for the death because death brings vengeance and that breeds hate and it's a cycle. One I would do anything to stop.” Kagome looked stone cold. The demon marks on her glowed and a strange wind blew her hair. “I have made my promises, I have give oaths, but it amounts to nothing when there is nothing.”
Kagome left the loft with a slam of the door. She wasn't mad per say but she wasn't happy either. She had to go do something reckless. Grabbing her bike from the garage she headed across town to get into trouble.

Inu Yasha know the moment the door slammed shut that it would be a long night. He knew she was going to do something he would regret but he didn't know how. The emotions coming from their bond were so intense it was surreal. Then he got a clip of the thoughts and his eyes widened.

Kagome felt the weight of her weapons unsure of how they were with her but not quite caring. New York City was huge; traffic didn't suck too much but none the less. She passed Inu Yasha's building and looked at it for a moment. No lights were on in the whole building. It bugged her though that in the whole week they hadn't received one call to notify them that the building was clear. She would check it later. Clearing her mind she shielded herself and hid her aura.
The deeper she went into the edges of town the colder it seemed to get. It wasn't so much like winter cold, but more of a bone chilling cold. If anyone recognized her they made no move to intercept her route.
The target was only blocks away. The building was the tallest in the district and stood out like a sore thumb.

Inu Yasha, Sesshomaru, Inu no Tashio, Koga, Miroku, Sango, and Koga's wolves raced off after Kagome. They had only got a brief explanation from Inu Yasha, but they knew that Kagome was on a suicide mission. While the demons ran across the rooftops, the humans that had came rode weaving in and out of cars. Miroku had his respective staff while Sango carried her hirokotsu but everyone else had swords.
“Damn that insufferable woman.” Sesshomaru growled.
“Shut up Sesshomaru.” Inu Yasha snarled as the closed in on the building of their greatest enemy.

Kagome parked the bike and busted through the glass doors running and jumping up the many flights of stairs. It would be stupid to get cornered in an elevator, when she was alone. She burst into a red hallway leading to a single door. Three people blocked her way.
“Lord Naraku send his deepest apologies but he is not here at the moment to welcome you.” The older of the three bowed. “He has sent us his faithful servants to entertain you. I am Kagura. This is Kanna and Hakudoshi.” She pointed to a little girl with a mirror and a boy holding an extremely long glaive.
“If that is the case then why don't we take this to the roof?” Kagome flashed fangs and blasted a hole in the ceiling above.
She moved just barely in time to avoid the dozen or so blades that seemed to form from the air. Landing she decided to keep moving when the ground turned to a black hole. Charging the oldest one she not surprised when she was pushed back by a gust of air.
“Wind witch.” She snarled. Drawing two swords Kagome gripped the bone handles and charged again. Making a series of thrusts, cuts and swipes she put Kagura on defense. The other two attacked from behind. Kagome knowing she was in trouble moved at the last moment. Kagura took great and heavy damage.
”Fools. He said keep her alive!”
Kagome took the moment of their distraction and attacked the male child. He barely blocked her attack but stumbled back wounded.
The fight was on.

The large Inu group could feel the darkness in the air. The flashes of light on the roof were anything but soothing.
“Hold on Kags, we are on our way….”
