Ch 2: Confused

"SIT" yelled an enraged Kagome. Inuyasha slammed unceremoniously to the ground with a loud thud followed by a string of curses. Kagome yelled at him again. " I said I would come back when I was ready so leave me alone. I am NOT going back right now.

"Oh yes you will!" Inuyasha said pulling himself from the dirt. " We have jew….." He trailed off at the sounds of fighting heading their way.

Damn him, damn that man. West thought to herself as she tried to dodge yet another attack of Lucian's Claymore. He tricks me into thinkin I got ahead a him and he sneeks up on me while I wait to ambush him. I mean seriously now, what is he some kinda mind reader. How did he know what I was gonna do.

*Shing * Another attack barely missed her as it collided with the step she had been standing on. She caught the scent of another demon at the top of the stares. Good maybe they can help. She doubted it though as she raced up the stairs, she knew most demons would keep to them self and especially if it meant facing Lucian. *Thunk* SHIT, my damn guitar just got nicked by his bladed. At least it ain't broken. Why the Hell am I worried about my guitar in a fight for my life. She mentally smacked herself.

Inuyasha and Kagome watched as two figures raced up the steps. The first, who was obviously the demon, stopped after she made it to the middle of the shrine grounds. Suddenly a human came up the stairs with a sword drawn. The female demon lunged at him with her deadly claws. Kagome gasped but sighed as she saw the man was able to dodge the attack. Again the demon attacked and in return the man thrust his sword and lunged at her. The two landed facing away from each other. Kagome watched in horror as the man slumped slightly. The two returned to facing each other as he was holding his now bleeding leg. The demon was also holding her forearm where his blade had caught her.

Oh my god that was priceless. The look on his face when I cranked up the juice on my power and his little talisman wasn't enough two completely reverse the slowing, it was worth all the gold in the world. The little extra energy I put into it gave me the edge I needed to get threw his defenses. West thought to herself. She was full out laughing at him now. He was glaring daggers at her, but she couldn't help herself. She was so amused she almost didn't notice the arrow spiraling towards her. Immediately she put her time slowing into effect, The arrow slowed to almost a stop so she moved out of the way to look at the human female that was holding a bow out, it's string still vibrating from the release of the arrow. Beside her stood the dog demon she had smelled earlier. As she looked back at the arrow she noticed something strange it had a blue glow to it and as it neared her the blue turned to black as its aura mixed with her purple one. Her eyes widened in fear as she saw the black pulse out like a bomb going off. It encompassed the four of them and the talisman Lucian had on glowed a brilliant shade of crimson and he was thrown out of the black abyss that surrounded the others. They soon felt their bodies go numb as sleep took them over and they faded into unconsciousness.

Aragorn, Legolas, and Gimli were just beginning to leave the forest after having found Boromir dieing and Merry and Pippin missing. They had set Boromir adrift in the river and now were following the trail of the Orks. Suddenly the three of them were thrown back from some unknown force. As the slowly sat up rubbing their heads they saw three people lying on the ground where they had just been thrown back from. Cautiously they got up and walked over to the three slumbering forms, weapons drawn. Legolas had his arrow pointed at a strange woman that was laying on her back, who looked that she could be elven with her pointy ears. Gimli had his ax hovering over a human woman and Aragorn held his sword pointed at the throat of a white haired boy with dog ears. They looked at each other questioningly, but their attention was soon brought back to the creatures on the ground as they all roused at the same time.

"ugh, did someone get the name of that truck." Said Kagome as she sat up rubbing her head and blinked her eyes open. She soon got quite stiff with fear as she saw a huge ax in front of her face.

"What the hell did yawl do to me. I should….. Ack." Her voice was cut short as she spied the arrow pointed at her head.

"Stupid wench, what did you do this…." He also had his breath cut off as a sword was pressed against his neck.

"Be still and no harm will come to you." Said the man that hovered over Inuyasha He knocked the sword away with his hand and was going to slice the man in front of him in two, but one fateful word stopped him dead in his tracks.

"Sit" Aragon saw his chance and took it. He jumped on the mans back and pressed the sword into the back of his neck as his knee held the boy's hands down.

"Try to attack again and I shall kill you where you lay." Said Aragon in a harsh tone.

"Inuyasha please hold still or he'll kill you." Kagome pleaded with him. The ranger, dwarf, and elf gave her a funny look as she spoke in a weird language they had never heard before. ( AN: Inuyasha and Kagome will be talking in Japanese for a little bit so that's why she got the funny looks. Incase you didn't already get that.)

"What! I can take him just don't sit me this time." He said muffled from the ground his face was planted in.

"Please, we don't even know who they are or what they want, you do look a little strange if your not accustom to demons you know. You could have scared them. Besides I have a really big ax pointed at my head right now and don't want it to split my skull because you want to fight." She pleaded with him.

"Fine" He grumbled not wanting to get Kagome hurt.

West stared up at the man holding a bow and arrow pointed at him. "Um, excuse me but if it ain't to much trouble would ya guys mind letting us up. We ain't done nothing wrong." She gave him a bright smile to try and show she was no threat but this was not a good idea. Her disguise was gone and her smile fully displayed her fangs.

Legolas was surprised when the girl had talked to him in the language of men seeing as how the other two seemed to be talking in a strange foreign language. Then he almost jumped when he saw that she had fangs. They must be demons sent by Sauron. He rationalized in his mind. What other explanation could there be. He brought the arrow closer to her face and she sighed.

"Alright, not quite the response I was hopin' for but oh well." She said with a slight hint of laughter in her tone.

"Who are you and who is your master demon!" Legolas commanded at her.

"First of all no one is my Master! And watch it budy. I don't take kindly to being pushed around and you don't wanna see me angry." Her eyebrows furrowed together at her anger. "Now can we talk this out like civilized folks or are we gonna have to do this the hard way.

"It seems to me, little demon," said Gimli, "That you are in no position to request anything and would do best to answer my friend before you anger Him."

"Oh, I see. Don't say I didn't warn you" With in the blink of an eye West was behind Legolas with one of his own swords against his jugular. "Now, let those two go and we will sit and talk like nice people. You hear me!" She commanded.

They paused for a minute before letting the other two up. They didn't want to risk their friend's life. "They are free now let him go." Demanded Aragon.

"I will, but only after you give me your word you will not harm us or try to attack us again." She looked very determined as she said this.

"I give my word now let him go… please" Aragon was surprised that she was going to give up her upper hand, namely Legolas as a hostage, so easy. Maybe she is not a spy for the enemy.

West gave a genuine smile and let Legolas go, who walked over to his companions as Kagome and Inuyasha walked up to West.

"Why did you help us?" Kagome said with a look of confusion marring her face.

"Well, I figured yawl were in the same boat as me and after thinking about last night I understand why you attacked me. We'll talk about that later though. First we have to find out where the hell we are."

"…ok" Kagome responded. Inuyasha only grunted at her, still not trusting of her.

"Hey!" she yelled startling everyone. "Where's my guitar and hat." She looked around the clearing they were in and saw them lying near where she had awoken. Pulling her hat on and slinging the guitar strap over her shoulder she spoke again. "So," West said as she turned back to the men. "How about we start with where we are."
