InuYasha Fan Fiction ❯ Getting to know you.... ❯ Lunch ( Chapter 2 )

Inuyasha meets with his brother. It's a short chapter, but my muses were getting tired, and there's really nothing else to go with this. On the plus side, I'll likely post the next chapter within a couple hours.

 

 

Sesshomaru answered the phone, and agreed to meet his brother for lunch tomorrow. `Inuyasha must really have something important wanting a meeting on such short notice.' Sesshomaru figured he could wait till lunch to find out.

 

Inuyasha woke late the next morning. He was having a really good dream about that miko. Unfortunately, the dream had left its mark on him. `Time for a nice cold shower.' After that shower he got dressed and left to meet his brother. As always, Sesshomaru had chosen the most expensive and popular restaurant possible for their meeting. Well at least he could dress the part. The black Armani he had decided to wear wouldn't stand out, but he'd known that when he chose it.

 

“Well shatei, what have you to say? On such short notice I imagine this must be important. Your schedule is usually as full as my own.”

“Jikei, I think I've found my mate. She doesn't know yet, but I have to make her mine. She's not only the most beautiful female I have ever seen, but she is powerful as well. I can't get her out of my mind, oniisan. Please help me win her affections.”

“Baka, how can you tell me that you have found your mate when she doesn't even know of your intentions? I will assist you in winning her heart, but you will have to do most of the work yourself. Does this girl even know you exist? Are you in need of eliminating competition? Does she have a name?”

“Well, that's where it gets complicated, oniisan. She was in the class for one of my lectures. I couldn't get her name because I had to leave early.”

“I assume that you had to leave because of this girl?”

“Hai, her scent was driving me wild. I almost didn't make it home in time. Stupid ears.”

“Well, since you haven't spoken with her, there isn't much I can do at the moment. When you can answer my questions, I will see what I can do. Until then, let us enjoy our meal together and catch up on other matters.”

 

They continued their meal, and caught up on the important stuff. As they did, Inuyasha looked forward to tomorrow when he would be able to speak with this mystery miko who had captured his heart.

 

(A/N: For those who are like me and too lazy to look words up:

Shatei = my younger brother

Jikei = elder brother (affectionate)

Oniisan = elder brother (honorable)

Baka = idiot or stupid

Hai = yes

 

Also, I know this chapter isn't long or very informative, and Sesshomaru is a little OOC, but it serves to give the impression of the relationship between the brothers. I'll get on with the rest shortly; this just didn't fit as part of the next chapter (which I'm already writing) and had to be said. (Well, I thought it did, and it's my story. So I said it)
