Chapter 11: A Mother's Rage

Sango landed with a thump on the carpet of her mom's study. Choked sobs escaped her chest and she shook with the force of them, her hand covered the wound inflicted by Naraku.

"Kagome! Oh my god I have to get help!"

Through her whole ordeal she failed to notice the form of her mother in the study, she seemed frozen in place by disbelief. Sango struggled to her feet and Nyoko was there in little to no time as she stumbled forward. Sango was surprised at being caught in the strong grip of someone and looked into the face of her mother. Sango again broke down into more sobs. Nyoko's voice was calming and soothing, though it held a commanding tone.

"Sango what happened?"

Sango shuddered and choked back tears.

"It went wrong! Kagome was taken! Oh! He has Kagome! We aren't ready for him yet!"

Sango ranted uncontrollably and Nyoko let her get it out of her system. Rage built up in her system and it shook her boy. As Sango calmed she asked the question that had plagued her mind since Sango began to explain.

"W-wh…"

Nyoko trailed off and licked her lips nervously.

"Who has her Sango?"

Sango shuddered and her voice remained shaky.

"Naraku does. I could smell Inuyasha. He set us up."

Nyoko let her eldest daughter continue to shed her tears all the while her blood beast craved for revenge, it roared in blood lust.

`How dare that fool betray my daughters! I will only stop when his blood is spilled!'

Sango soon passed out from exhaustion and Nyoko carried her to her room and cared for her. Producing her cell from her pocket without taking her eyes from her daughter's form she dialed Inutaisho's number. The phone rang and Nyoko concentrated on keeping herself calm. A smooth masculine voice answered the phone.

"Hello Nyoko. What can I do for you?"

Her words were steely and cold as she spoke to him.

"Is Inuyasha there?"

Inutaisho was surprised not only but the way she spoke but how she had spat out Inuyasha's name as if it was vile. Confused lined his words.

"No, he hasn't been home for little over a week."

Nyoko's blood again boiled with rage, she calmed her voice and made it gentlier for him.

"This is an emergency. I need you and your team her stat. Do not bother to call for Inuyasha I already know he will not come. My daughter Kagome has been taken."

She hung up the phone without another word or giving him the chance to answer, but he felt that was reasonable seems as she was a demon mother which made her quite hostile when her pups were in danger, but could she mean, she already knew Inuyasha wouldn't come? Hanging up, her speed dialed his team. The calm voice of his eldest answered.

"Yes father. What is it?"

Inutaisho waisted no time to greet him.

"Sesshoumaru bring the team minus Inuyasha to Higurashi manor, Kagome was taken by someone."

A startled gasp tore from Sesshoumaru's lips involuntarily.

"Who has her!?"

Inutaisho merely put more force behind his words.

"Higurashi manor, now."

And with a click they both hung up.
