Chapter 28: It's All Just Words.
InuYasha sat on the plane next to Kagome and Hojo. It was last thing he needed. To be next to the lovebirds while they were kissing. He tried to pay no mind as he kept his silver locks buried in a book. He couldn't help but think about last night. He poured his heart out and she didn't even listen to it. 'I have to get out of this. Out of here.' He thought as he looked over to the couple laughing. InuYasha arose from his seat as he scooted over them and into the aisle. He looked around and found an empty seat in the back by the window. InuYasha slowly walked over there and sat down by himself. He thought he better get used to the fact of being alone.
Sango watched as InuYasha walked pass her and Miroku, who was kissing on her neck, and sit by himself. She looked over to Kagome and Hojo and couldn't help but shake her head. 'Thats a shame'. She thought.
"San, you alright." Miroku said noticing that she was looking off into space.
"Huh?" She dumbly said.
"Are you okay?" He asked again.
"Yeah, I'm fine."
"So, about that whip cream you promised...." Miroku said with a goofy smile on his face.
Sango pushed him out of his chair and he fell into the aisle. "Whatever, Houshi."
"Hey, that really hurted." Miroku said rubbing his head.

The limo pulled up and the 5 occupants stepped out only to be greeted by the warm spring breeze. They all walked up to the front door of the collosal estate.
"Wow, this is huge." Miroku said looking at the villa.
"Thank you." The voice sounded and everybody looked to see Sesshomaru.
"Always, have to make a big entrance." InuYasha said.
"They're here." Rin said as she hurried out of the house.
"Yes. Could you please show everybody around while I have a little chat with InuYasha here."
"Of course. Come on, guys. I have tons of ideas for everything." Rin said as she led the teens into the house.
Sesshomaru walked closer to his younger brother. "Walk with me. We have things to discuss." He said as he took steps towards the back of the villa.
"What things?" InuYasha said following his brother.
"First off, I hope you came to your senses and ended things with Ms. Kagome."
InuYash sighed. "I told you already. We were never together. You're just dillusional."
"Mmm. So, she dumped you." Sesshomaru said knowing his little brother too well.
InuYasha growled . "Is that all you wanted talk about because I have things to take care of."
"No, the real reason is Kikyo. She's coming to the wedding."
"What? Why?"
"I invited her." Sesshomaru said solemnly.
"Why'd you invite her?"
"See, I promised her that you would take her back."
InuYasha stopped dead in his tracks. "What in the hell would you tell her that?!!"
"Because." Sesshomau shouted. "She's threatening to take the estate and everything we've built. InuYasha, I've sacraficed a lot for you. Please, just..."
"No! I can't. Shit, I won't. How can she take anything when she's been unfaithful? Broken the vows? She's just bluffing."
"Infact, that's only plausible if there were any evidence of infidelity So, she's entitled to everything."
InuYasha groaned and held his chest. "Damn." He grunted as he reached in his pocket and grabbed his bottle and tossed some pills into his mouth.
"Are you okay?"
"Yeah. I'm fine." He said before he started to breath in deeply and slowly. "I'm fine."
"I think you need to go to a doctor." Sesshomaru said.
"I'm fucking fine, okay. I don't need no damn doctor."
"I won't have you dying of my property. So, I'll get Benson to take you to my doctor immediately."
"I fucking hate you, you know that?"
Sesshomaru shook his head. "I fucking hate you back."

Kagome and Hojo walked around the huge backyard. "This would be perfect wouldn't it?"
Kagome nodded. "Yeah, it would."
“This is really beautiful, Kagome." Sango said looking around in awe.
"So, you wouldn't mind having our wedding here, huh?" Miroku said wrapping his arms around Sango's shoulder.
"Don't entertain that idea, Houshi." Sango said removing his arm.
"So, Hojo. I was wondering about having the chapel right here."Rin said.
"You have one?" Hojo asked.
"No, but InuYasha will surely make it.”Rin said cheerily. “Oooh, I just can’t wait!”
“Aunt Rin, I don’t want my dad making our chapel.”
“Huh? What are you talking about?”
“I said, I don’t want him making our chapel. I’ll call a carpenter.”
“It’s too late to call a carpenter, Hojo. You don’t trust InuYasha do you? You know you’re father has made beautiful work before. Give him a chance.”
“Hojo, just let InuYasha make the chapel.”Kagome said hoping this wasn't going to be a problem.
Hojo’s eyebrows furrowed over his honey eyes. He was pissed off to say the least. He didn’t want his father doing anything for him anymore Once, Kagome and him were in Tokyo he could breath. Now, he was trying to get this wedding over as quick as he could. He didn’t trust his father not one bit. Not after what he did. “My dad’s not making the chapel and that’s that.” Hojo said as he stomped off leaving the rest of the group dumbfounded.
“Maybe you should go see what’s bothering him, Kagome.” Rin said in a worried tone. The worst thing that could happen at this moment was for the wedding to go wrong. She planned too long for that to happen.
“Sure. I’ll check up on him.” Kagome said as she followed him.

InuYasha sat in the back of the limosine on his way to Sesshomaru’s doctor. He didn’t want to go because maybe his fears would come true. He couldn’t deal if something was to happen. He tried to convince himself that stress was the reason for his heart problems and it wasn’t that big of a deal. He already been to the hospital. If something was wrong the doctor would’ve told him, right? ‘Yeah, there’s nothing wrong with me. I’m perfectly fine.’ InuYasha thought but his heart said something completely different. If Kagome is the cause of all of this, maybe I should let her go and be with Hojo. InuYasha clenched his heart at the thought. He couldn’t live with himself if he knew that Kagome wasn’truly happy with his son. That she was only truly happy with him and vice versa. “I have to know.” He whispered to himself.

Kagome slowly walked into the kitchen to see Hojo sulking at the island counter. “Hojo? You, okay?” She said hesitantly. Kagome hated to hurt Hojo like this. He was nothing but good to her, the least she could was marry the guy.
“No, I’m not okay.” Hojo said.
“Why?” Kagome said sitting at the counter with him.
“You know why?”
Kagome couldn’t really give an answer. She was scared that if she said something he would explode. “Yeah, I know.”
“Me and my father were like glue. I just can’t believe he would do this. You would do this.”
“I’m sor...”
“Don’t say it, Kagome. I know you’re sorry. It’s just I can forgive you, but I don’t think I can really forgive my father.”
“But he’s your father.”
“I’m adopted, remember?” Hojo said tapping his fingers on the counter.
“You were the one who said he was like a real father.” Kagome said trying to console him.
“That was before....” He said. “Shit!” Hojo yelled before slammed his fist on the counter making Kagome jumped. "You just don't know."
"Know what?"
"My father was my only heroe. He was the only man I looked up to and wanted to be." Hojo said looking off and away from Kagome's eyes. "I wasn't always like this. I wasn't always this nice hunkey dory boy. I was once a rough ten year old on the streets. Stealing, scheming, and scrapping was all I was good for before I met my dad."
Kagome never knew that Hojo was a ten year old thug. Hell, he was so far from a thug he was pratically Bobby Brady.
"He was cautious to take me in, but I followed him. I followed him because I thought he was the coolest guy on the planet. I wanted to impress him and have him praise me. When he finally did take me in, he took care of me and taught me knowledge that willl stay with me until I die. He told me of his struggles as a kid with uncle Sess. When I found out we were in the same boat, I knew it was destiny we found each other."
Kagome wanted to put some input into Hojo's confession, but she didn't know anything about it. This was the first time she's ever heard of any of this so she just decided to shut up and listen.
"See, Kagome. To find out that my dad isn't the super heroe I thought he was is devistating to me. That night at the hotel, I didn't even know what to do. Lately, I've been thinking that I don't need my father to fufill my dreams. I can do it all by myself. My damn self."
"And I know you can, Hojo." Kagome said patting his shoulder.

Sesshomaru and Rin sat on the warm bench out in the main garden. Rin snuggled up to her husband. "I love you so much, Sesshy."
"I see this wedding is getting to your head." Sesshomaru said pulling Rin closer to her.
"I guess. I think it's so beautiful for the kids to get married. I remember when Hojo was a little scrawny boy with an attitude. He's really grown."
"Yeah, the mutt's improved."
Rin hit Sesshomaru on the chest. "Stop calling him a mutt."
"Alright, alright. I'll try." Sesshomaru said kissing Rin on the top of her head. "For you."
"Thanks. So, where is InuYasha?"
"He was in some type of pain so I sent him to the doctor."
"Is he okay?"
Sesshomaru shook his head. 'Women' "I don't know. That's why I sent him to the doctor. Don't worry he's going to be fine."
"You think?"
"Yes, that's what I think and if anything happens to him we have insurance."
"You're horrible, Sesshy.”
Sesshomaru smirked. "I love you, too."

InuYasha stood on the uncomfortable leather hospital bed that was covered in the cheapest form of sheets. It felt like the paper you put on the toilet to protect you from germs.
"So, give it to me straight, doc." InuYasha said putting back on his shirt after his inspection.
"Well, if the symptoms you say are true and if your results come back.....um....”
“Spit it out, doc.”
“You might have heart disease.”
Right then all the blood drained from InuYasha’s face. “Heart disease?” He whispered hoping he heard the doctor right.
“Yes, Mr. Taisho, but the results haven’t come back so there’s...”
“Doc?”
"And then...yes, Mr. Taisho?"
"Don't tell anyone about this. When I say anyone, I mean my brother. This stays between you and me. Got that?"
The doctor nodded. "Yes, Mr. Taisho. Your secret's is safe with me."
